- DGWanderer25 (10/5): Unique hotel with great facilities (provides happy hour even without lounge) - So far only Westin Chongqing blew me off, but Azure comes very close to that experience. One of the best properties from Marriott in China. Great service overall, even though some staff may struggle with English. No executive lounge for Titanium but they have a happy hour in lobby lounge which I liked even more than a normal lounge given the personalized service and not many people. One of the biggest suites by area I have ever stayed in- and beautifully designed as long as you get used to Azure/blue color. Great Byredo amenities. Overall architecture of hotel is very good. Decent breakfast and comes with ice cream :-) We had couple of hiccups in the lobby lounge due to brands of drinks (seems no one likes to drink whiskey in this city) so staff was confused, but they fixed it. The bar tender was so good that I decided to tip him, which is not a common practice in China but his service was impeccable. I will definitely come back.

Had 2 kids on the trip and totally enjoyed the experience. Deliveries is a big part of their culture now, and service was outstanding from the concierge staff like Max and the other guys I didn’t get their names. Will definitely choose to come back next time in Hangzhou
- Valerii (8/5): Very good - Fresh new hotel, clean and comfortable. The stunning view to the Qiantang river. 2 points dissapointed me: The safebox in the room was locked when i arrived. A manager tried to open it with an electronic key but failed, said that they woulkd replace the safebox with another one shortly and dissapeared. That was 5.30 pm. Nobody took care about this problem until my checking out the next day noon. The iron I asked to bring for prepairng my clothes was a little bit overused (a cover of water compartment was absent), and the water was dropping all the time out durng my ironing exercise. I believe that the new hotel could have more well-kept inhouse equipment for guests.

Check in was good and friendly The lobby is large and decked in azure colours, as the name implies. So is the suite. The Byredo toiletries is a plus. The living room tv didn’t work but the bedroom one did. The work desk in the living room is too high for the chair, and no power source for the laptop. Too many buttons and switches for the lights and curtains, and some don’t work Location next to the Qiantang river, also part of the hotel name The gym is ok but the jacucci had no water Wrote a seperate review for the breakfast restaurant

- Lira (8/5): Very good - I like the interior of the hotel. It was pretty empty during the time I was there. The staff were super nice and spoke English well Very poor sound isolation. I could hear staff knocking on the doors of my neighbors as if it was my door! The service is a bit slow. The light control panel is weird in response. I needed to press the switch several times. Saunas didn’t work. The pool was too cold, the jacuzzi was warm Oh, and there are no convenience shop in walkable distance from the hotel. I find that pretty strange.

Staff offered to change our room but my mother was on wheelchair and it’s inconvenient to move her and we declined it . it was a nice gesture.

The culinary experience was exceptional, especially the food served at the rooftop restaurant. Each breakfast was a fantastic spread that set the tone for the day ahead. The staff Molly helped to check in and Nick helped the luggage and provided the good introduction on the hotel. It is a decent and lovely hotel and all the staff I met are polite and perform elegant behaviors. The young lady Slyvia served the happy hour time and noticed very detailed requirement from me. The room is spacious and cozy. The facility is great. I would say it is qualified as a luxury hotel. I definitely would like to visit again.

The room was incredibly beautiful and the view was magnificent. The front desk staff were very professional and recognized my Titanium membership benefits, answering any questions I had. The hotel's concierge staff were extremely polite and courteous. Una Zhao who cleaned my room every day was also very thoughtful and accommodating, fulfilling my minor requests with great care because I needed to work at night and sleep during the day.

- jiahaoc201 (2/5): Very Poor Experience at The Azure Qiantang - No concierge just a security guard at the door checking health codes. CI is low in professionalism, understaffed, extremely slow, disordered and lack of greeting. No good room upgrade offers a full view of the river to the front guest room upgrade no king bed room provided. Failed to brush the elevator clearance of the lounge. There is no platinum welcome fruit and welcome letter. Ink stains on the guest room chairs, and dirty cotton swabs on the floor trash. After complaining, I asked to replace the chair and they only sent some one to wipe it, but did not change and it was still dirty. The desk lamp in the room was broken and could not be turned on. The bathroom light could not be kept on for a long time and automatically went out when no one entered. There was no turndown service. When I checked out, hotel staff did not confirm the room account, did not settle the house price on the spot, returned the deposit, and then I was called to communicate about the house price after leaving for one day. The Bonvoy stay and points weew not recorded in the account. Overall, the employees' thinking is rigid. They don’t respond to problems by calling back three times and urging four times. They don’t want to take any responsibility. Low degree of professionalism, imperfect facilities, cold service and rough details for business greatly reduce the experience of platinum card members

In fact the vacant space in the room was the size of the room at the hotel we stayed at Shanghai. Value for money. My Son started getting fever in the night and the hotel organised to send a staff to procure some medicines from outside at around 1am. The hotel is at a very convenient location not very far from various place of interest. I would give the hotel 5 on 5 rating and would definitely stay in this group hotel where ever I travel. Keep up the hospitality always. :)

- Family (6/5): Non-smoking room had smell of smoke - This review would have been five stars were it not for the following experience. Our initially assigned non-smoking room had the smell of smoke. After we informed the hotel staff, it took some negotiation to change to a different room. In the end, hotel manager was helpful and courteous. If we dealt with lower level employees, this probably would not have happened. This is too great a risk to ignore. Hotel needs to enforce its policy for non-smoking rooms (they do have smoking rooms). If they want to cater to rule-violatig smoking guests by not penalizing those who smoke in non-smoking rooms, hotel would need to bear all cost of such behavior instead of having rule-abiding non-smoking guests to bear the consequence. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant. Room has a nice view. Nice breakfast, competent staff (e.g. to help with calling a taxi etc.). Hotel is next to a lot of construction, and is quite a walk to any nearby restaurant / shopping.
