Guest Reviews
- Ronald (10/5): - Good service
- Natalia (10/5): - Very helpful staff.
- Matt (10/5): Easy stay in Indio - Nothing fancy but was a great, central place to stay.
- Adam (10/5): - Very peaceful, and next door to an amazing honkytonk and dispensary. You can’t go wrong here.
- Thomas (8/5): - Nice place to stay
- Silvina (10/5): - My husband and I stayed here for Coachella. We weren’t expecting much just a private place to stay. To our surprise, the rooms are totally renovated, good and clean new bathrooms, comfortable king bed, clean and complete room with refrigerator, microwave and table. There were plenty of parking spaces, and just 5’ drive from Coachella. Super convenient. The staff was super friendly and helpful, if you need something they will take care of it. Totally recommend!
- Jenna (10/5): - Great place to stay for coachella if you're willing to walk and want to avoid paying for ubers!
- Casey (6/5): Ok stay but couldve been better - Room had a very foul, mildew odor coming from the a/c unit. Also, the towels were very old and worn and had stains on them
- Joey (10/5): - Very friendly staff and quaint hotel.
- Parker (8/5): - Small office
- Kimberly (10/5): Safe and Clean for a Simple stay - I needed an inexpensive but safe place to stay for 2 nights for work. This motel was not only clean, it was very cute and well kept on top of being inexpensive. I arrived in the evening and the manager was quick to the office door. The room was very spacious and clean with a large bed, large tv, a couch and a desk. There was a large ac/heating unit that worked perfectly and had multiple fan levels from high to low. The couch did have some damage but nothing major. The locks on the door were secure and used a key card. The kitchenette was rather large and in the closet space. The refrigerator was very big, not a tiny one with a mini freezer but a full size. The freezer had two ice trays and the kitchenette included a microwave and a coffee maker. The closet did not have hangers. I didn’t go to the office to ask for any so I’m not sure if they could have provided some.
The bathroom was spacious and looked newly renovated and clean. There were plenty of towels provided.
Outside the room was a cute rose garden that reminded me a little of the Queen’s garden from Alice in Wonderland. There were trash bins at the back of the property including recycling. The pool was also surrounded by garden walls and gated. The parking lot was small but my car was safe the entire stay.
No cleaning after the 1st night but that worked for me. I’m sure they would if requested. There was no dresser for clothes.
It was a perfect stay for inexpensive, no bells & whistles. I will stay again!
- Harvey (4/5): - The office smelled. The room and bathroom smelled. I had to have the air conditioning run for a while to get some of the smell out. The bed sheets were so thin that one could almost see through them. The walls were damaged.
- John (8/5): Surprisingly good economy - A delightful surprise for the money. It was clean, cool, and everything that it promised. A budget hotel that was nicely provisioned and maintained. They do need to know that a wall typically is only one color of paint
- Paul (10/5): - Recently renovated and very clean. Owners are nice and this is very nice for basic housing.
- Geoff (8/5): - Having read previous reviews I was a little worried about what I was getting into especially when my CC company declined the payment request twice, even after I gave them verbal approval after first time was declined! CC said they had many complaints. My room was clean. It looked like the images on the website! Drains were clean. Towels and bedding appeared clean. It’s an old retro ‘50’s style motel. Only one floor. I’m not sure where all the parking is but I always had a place in front and during the three days four night stay. I was never back from the BNP Paribas tournament before 8P. Room had ample plugs for charging electronic. Wi-Fi signal was good.
Only three issues, which were minor: 1) the tv remote was finicky, 2) another was that before I turn the shower head to face away from the shower door water would leak through between the doors onto the bathroom floor. 3) it is an old building. Sound proofing is not too great but I alway bring earplugs for any motel/hotel. But it was generally very quiet!
I would stay there again!
- Bryan (4/5): Hair and red/pink stain in sheets - Found hair and stains in the sheets when we opened bed.
- Angela (10/5): - Had a business trip in Indio so I stayed here for 2 nights. It was very comfortable and clean. It was quiet and I felt very safe.
We waked a couple doors down to the Bar and Grill and had an excellent meal. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again.
It is located n the better part of Indio
- William Ladd (8/5): surprisingly clean & comfortable - I was pleasantly surprised to check into a low budget motel that was clean and relatively updated and comfortable.
- Hector (10/5): - Great property
- Gabriela (10/5): - Great kind staff.
- Jose (10/5): Coachella weekend stay - This was just what we needed! No problems with the room and service was excellent as I requested early check in and they message me when it was ready! Quick drive to the festival and a bar walking distance for late night
- Theodore (10/5): - We recently stayed here for Stagecoach. Very nice cute place. The owners and staff were very welcoming friendly and very easy to deal with rooms are very clean very affordable. Would definitely stay here again.
- Bryan (10/5): - Perfect for what we needed and close enough to drive back and forth to and from our event. Room was clean, bathroom was a good size with a lovely shower. Will be looking to stay here again next time we are in town. The only negative thing I could say was that we never were able to turn on the TV but we really did not need it, so I did not even bother letting the staff know.
- Arief (10/5): Excellence Motel - Awesome place 👍😄. Highly recommended! Thank you 🙏
- Jw (10/5): - It was nice and clean well past what I expected me n my husband were pleased.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Mauna Loa Motel Review - Very friendly, clean and comfortable. Has TV, Fridge, coffee, heating, air conditioner. All the basic comforts. Would stay here again.
- VERNON (10/5): - The unit was clean, spacious and modern. Remodeled.
- Jhona (8/5): - I like the bathroom for people with disability, It just that there is no bedside table like for cpap machine, and bed is too high for not so tall people and for people with disability.
- Frank (8/5): Hotels - From a hotel that's been remodled very good job and peace full. To stay
- S M Faizul (4/5): Horrible experience while staying in Mauna Loa - This was perhaps the most horrible experience with a facility used from Hotels.Com page. It is an absolutely low-class facility with a poor class Manager (coordinator).
I suggest no one to take this motel in future. I paid USD 550 a night for a Motel of USD 70-80 standard due to a music festival. Paying nearly 7 to 8 times.
What happened, No housekeeping at all. Once in the 4 days \ I have to force them to do it. No cleaning of the toilets and worst was not clearing the bins with food waste.
The room was extremely noisy as it was with a window type aircon just beside the bed. I could not sleep all the 4 nights stayed there. Worst service you will ever get.
Hotel.com/owner should refund money to me for all the inconvenience caused.
Most important is the Manager. Most horrible person there.
- Steven (10/5): - Great location and pricing for Empire Polo
- Richard (10/5): - Very much enjoyed my stay with you Mauna Loa. Thanks!
- Rosell (10/5): - Wonderful staff.
- Jasmine (10/5): - The hosts were very welcoming and kind. There was also lots of parking, the place was well-ventilated and was nicely maintained.
- Juan (10/5): Great place! - Not gonna lie, I was a little worried when I booked here because of the other reviews. And when you pull up it doesn’t look the best but the grounds are actually pretty nice. They have a pool and free parking. The rooms were a little small but it was perfect. And they were so clean! Check in and out process was super fast. They were also adding a nice garden in the back. I really enjoyed my stay here
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I'm very sorry I got a room here. They're more like cabins. That weird curry smell hit me in the face when I walked into the office and I thought, "oh no". That means it's going to be a cheap room and bad service. Sure enough, Mrs. Enlightenment comes around the corner barely speaking, rude, and not showing appreciation that fools like me help keep her business running one more day. After being stared down by her husband in the parking lot for no reason, I get to my room and it absolutely smelled horrible! It was a mixture or chlorine, paint, dampness, dirt, bacteria, and other things all mixed up in one. My clothes smelled like that room the entire day after checking out. The room felt dirty and the bathroom was worse with debris all over the floor and things. The heat didn't work. The window didn't open. The bathroom didn't smell as bad but the blinds didn't cover the whole window, only half. Anybody could look right in from outside. And the bathroom window had bars. If there's a fire and you can't get out through the front door, you're trapped. The bed pillows were weird and the room had insects in it. The motel sits in the middle of nothing. The only thing you can walk to is Stater Bros and a drug store. It's dark on a long stretch of highway. Oh, and next door is a hole in the wall bar blasting music all evening until the morning. I really think the owners are clueless about the complaints we give. In their country, the rooms are good enough for them, don't know.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - These was my worse experince is just so terrible the room it was with holes and smell so bad and ac it was not working the shower so durty and ugly
- JOE (8/5): Very Nice - Very nice, older property.
Clean and quiet
Beautiful grounds
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was quaint & the property was located in a ok area.
The room needed to be maintained due to aged items especially in the bathroom.
My door to the room needed overdue maintance.
- Tracey (2/5): - We had booked 2 rooms and both were in very poor condition. There was no hot water in either room - in our room the bathtub did not drain and in our friends room there was a water leak in the bathroom with water all over the floor. The rooms were not clean. It also appeared that rooms were rented out by the hour. It was a very poor experience.
- 9g9pp (2/5): Disappointed - No ice ,very dirty room ,pool dirty I won’t swim in filth, nothing has been repaired since 1960 really
Bad electrical , no hot water, kitchenette was filthy, couples coming and going within 2 hours with sheets changed immediately after surprise
- LydiaD. (10/5): - Very cute for a motel. Spacious, clean rooms, friendly staff, cheap price. If I ever come back and need a motel, I will choose this place again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nightmare - No parking, a/c heater didnt work, bathroom sink leaks water onto ground, thin ass blankets my kids and I slept all night cold. No sense of security due to front and backdoor deadbolt doesn't lock and not to mention the roaches in the kitchen.. price was good but not worth the headache better off spending a little more a decent hotel...... never again NOT RECOMMENDED
- Kit (4/5): - I didn't like how I didn't get anything close to the quality in rooms as I did once before there was actually a kitchen and stove in the last one even a pull out bed by kitchen.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This was one of the worst motels I have ever stayed at. Two rooms next to us got broken into and things were stolen along with bed bugs in our room and no hot water. Horrible experience
- Verified traveler (2/5): Just don’t! - Should be condemned and razed! Not only dirty, but also in complete disrepair-ac unit wedged in with a towel, ceiling fan wedged in place by toilet paper! Smoke detector was stuck in a drawer. I won’t bother detailing the rest... Returned from Stagecoach the second night of stay to people mulling around outside because 2 rooms had been broken into and robbed. Did not feel safe, so headed on home and missed day 3 of Stagecoach. Ugh!
- Irene (2/5): WARNING **STAY AWAY!!! - WARNING... 3 rooms got robbed!!! No joke I have police report to prove it. It was an inside job, no broken windows or busted doors. Everything left how we left it except cash, chargers, and jewelry gone (items were hidden). Police will meet owners today to go over the cameras. DO NOT STAY HERE!! This was a last minute hotel decision, and totally regret it. You come to a place feeling like you can trust and feel safe... they keep the place maintained on the outside but the workers are not professional at all. I went to front desk to report “I was robbed and manager tells me cleaning person lives in room 114 go tell her or call cops!”
I told manager I don’t feel safe and I want a refund! Manager also stated he thinks it was the man who was with me in my room...really, he thinks my husband robbed us!!!
Pass the word and save another innocent family from being a victim.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Absolutley disgusting! Cockroaches in bathroom, brown stains on walls, blinds were broken & baked brown with dirt/dust.
- Christyanna (2/5): Tweaker friendly - Disgusting filthy with attitude after calling out their poor excuse of a maid (tweaker)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We have a good at this hotel, we also went last year
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the room was decent but not clean, motel is older and not in the best shape
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I guess you get what you pay for I was looking for a reasonable price, I don't think they ever clean the rooms other than clean sheet and maybe vacuum if that.
- Verified traveler (6/5): I would not stay there again - It need some work big time. It very old
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They were redoing their parking lot, all dirt and mud. NO signage at all, couldn't even find the place! The lighting was poor, place was beat! NOTHING like the picture that was shown online. Had I not been so tired, I never would have stayed at this dump! BY FAR the worst place I have ever stayed at!
- John (8/5): 5star owner. 2-3star hotel - Mr. Patel the owner is a very kind man. This hotel I rate higher than it should be because of the owner. He walks the property a few times a day and is always available. Rooms are large with out dated bathrooms. Road and municipal work have dragged on in front of business FAR TO LONG. I feel for owner. 2 star property, 4star location. Five Star owner! A bit overpriced.. Because of owner I would return.
- Ed (2/5): Sad, inexpensive place - Wet carpets,no heater, had to change rooms , probably will not return
- Marilyn (2/5): Will never stay here again! Dirty and run down. - We've stayed in some not so great motels...this one by far is the worst. It appeared that the bathroom wasn't cleaned at all. Theres also no threshold between the room carpet and bathroom flooring, watch out for exposed nails!
The location was not the best and we did not feel safe. The front door lock barely moved 1/2 an inch when turned, and that was the only way to lock the door that goes to the outside. Therefore we put the chair in front of the door. Speaking of outside, it was about 40 degrees at night and the door had at least a 1 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor which let all the cold air in. This explains why there is a towel at the base of the door in one of the pics. That takes me to the heater...this thing needs to be replaced, it's a hazard since the cover to the fan is missing, and it's is about as loud as a diesel truck. Theres no sleeping with this thing on. Our neighbors were up until 1am with there kids having loud conversations and laughing. Could hear every word through the, what seemed like, cardboard thin walls.
The bed...what bed? Oh you mean the piece of plywood on top of a box spring disguised as a bed by putting an old, thin, itching sheet over it.
Do I need to continue with more reasons on why NOT to stay here?? Ok, 1 more. The outlets of the two that were accessible, 1 did not work at all, & the other was so loose the plug to the phone charger would not stay in! Alright, I'm done!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel manager very friendly. The room had dead roaches and the BIG ONES!!! I counted 3. The bathroom when I went to pick up my clothes from the floor it had a worm on it the big fat green ones. The bed was hard, shower did not work, bath tub did not hold the water it leaked to the other side of the wall. Reason we stayed it was late and we were tired and I would have not gotten my money back.
- Harley (6/5): - Good location...that’s where it ends. 50 characters minimum...whao. Ok, the place is in horrible condition. Sorry I had to write on because of the rule above.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bought hotel insurance which said I was allowed to cancel reservation if need be , Needed to cancel reservation , couldn’t do so . Forced to stay because deposit (which was 100% of room charge) was charged before arrival
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Beds hard, pillows flat, parking limited. Not given a king size bed when requested.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Stayed there for Stagecoach. - Needs more blankets, towels, pillows,
And needs to lower the rate
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK - Our refridgerator was broken and amemtities were limited. The beds were decent and service was great. Well worth the regular, inexpensive price of about $50/night, but definitely way overpriced for the music festival weekend. Booked it as a last minute option and it did the job
- Kailee (8/5): Not bad at all, just old - All these other reviews made me lower my expectations. However, when I arrived for Coachella, the hotel room is honestly just old but the staff is very nice, they provide towels, soap, and the bed is comfortable. The only thing I would be aware of is the shower floor is a little wobbly but definitely still usable. Bring your own food if you wish to use the fridge and microwave. I would stay here again.
- Mundo (6/5): Nice for the night - Got what I expected not much but a warm room and a bathroom to use and a bed to sleep in. Want more pay more or keep your expectations low remember it’s a motel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Does what is asked for - I was surprisingly pleased with my stay. Air conditioning was cold, room was clean, staff was friendly, internet worked great. The place was run down, but worked well for my needs.
- Robyn (6/5): Little rooms, but friendly owner - This is the type of place where the owner lives on site & is available 24/7. Rooms small but functional - no noted problems. I slept well. They were OK with a slightly later checkout.
- Carol (6/5): Mom-and-pop hotel - This is an old-fashioned, mom-and-pop-style hotel -- a relatively inexpensive place to stay in an expensive area. We checked after 10 p.m. and had to go knock on the manager's door to wake him up, but he was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, beds were firm, air conditioning and TV remote worked, and that's all we wanted. Bring your own coffee and breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel - Ir was a room to sleep thats all it had a fridge and microwave
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bed are very uncomfort, i never come back at this place.
- Dina (8/5): Old motel room...but clean - Friendly staff at an old motel. Furniture is worn out (e.g. missing doors on armoire) but bed was firm. Décor is very old (silk flowers, enamel picture) maybe from the 50's. The bathroom was very clean...newer tile albeit chipped. Did not go in the pool, but it also looked clean. It's not the best, but for the price it was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap, but clean! - I was pleasantly surprised. I booked this room for the price and knew I was taking my chances. The property was neat and free of any litter and the room was especially clean. The staff was also friendly. I'd definitely book a room here again.
- Lynda (2/5): Gross - I had made a reservation, it was very expensive. I used my credit card but paid cash. The owner wanted me to cancel the reservation because it cost them 8.00$ and then they wanted to charge me 5.00$ for key deposit. It was all the money I had left. And I wanted to get something to eat. I made a deal with them and they gave me back my money when I returned the key. I would never stay there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do yourself a favor and do not stay here - The room and the bathroom filthy. There were stains on the mattress, dust everywhere, and mold in the bathroom. I was afraid to walk around the room barefoot and wore shoes in the shower. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. The hotel advertised a pool and spa, and a refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was no spa, the pool was dirty and green and there was no microwave. The refrigerator was the only good thing about the room.
- Matthew (6/5): If you are broke and want to stay in Indio :) - what you see is what you get...super friendly employees!!! This was a very affordable room!!!
The bed was super firm FYI ( I kinda liked it) the AC was not very powerful( I didn't like that).
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for. - Needed a room for the night. This place worked out just fine.
- Melanie (6/5): Did the Job Well - The price was high, but still at least half the price of the other hotels in the area for Coachella weekend. It worked as a place to sleep and stay out of the heat. Nothing fancy and a little run down but it did its job. Within 10 minutes drive to Coachella. Easy access. Walls were surprisingly thick ... heard very little from the neighbors even though the place was sold out. Nice place to relax before the craziness of the festival.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very close to Coachella festival - Location is great but the hotel is old. The Staff is very nice.
- Momo2828 (10/5): Excellent value for the money, friendly and helpful staff - I stayed here for a horse show where I just needed a clean, quiet, simple, affordable place to stay for a longer extended stay. Mauna Loa Motel exceeded my expectations! Upon check-in, they mentioned that they had noted my online request for a quiet room, and they offered to show me two different rooms so that I could choose which of them I preferred. (That was really thoughtful, I don't even think the Four Seasons does that.)
They pointed out different amenities in the two rooms so that I could choose which better suited my needs. (That was nice because I love a bath after a long day at a horse show, and one of the rooms had a bathtub so I was excited to have been offered the opportunity to choose which room was better for me.)
Kenny and Sam, who are owners, were extremely nice and helpful throughout my stay. I felt like family any time I needed anything, not just a faceless/nameless guest.
Dee and Bob are this amazing couple who work there, and throughout my stay they were extraordinarily helpful any time I needed anything, even waking up very early to help me one chilly morning. They are so nice, I can't say enough good things, and they too made me feel like I was visiting family.
I really love the rose bushes in front. Be sure to stop and smell them, they are some of the most fragrant roses I have ever encountered. The pool area has nice greenery enclosing it, making it a peaceful place to relax and read a book. Also, I felt that for a budget motel, Mauna Loa has a lot of charm and a peaceful, pretty atmosphere with a lot of greenery.
When I am in this area again, Mauna Loa Motel will be the first place I book. I am very appreciative that they offer a clean, safe, cute motel at an affordable rate.
- 351frankw (4/5): Ok - Old but clean. Outside and check in office give very negative impression, but room was large, clean, had micro and sizable frig, decent tv. Downside, no blankets on beds, just sheets and comforter, heater worked well but wouldn't shut off until too hot in room, some very small ants around sink in bathroom. Overall not too bad, worth the price considering area.
- rpmcestmoi (2/5): Motel Noir - We booked this last November as we could not find any rooms or even an airbnb flat for the 2015 Indian Well tennis tournament, the weekend being a Christmas present to our great grandson who is an avid 8-year old tennis player and fan. (The gentleman in 2014 is not a jerk, by the way but kind.)
The bed was like sleeping on a floor, in terms of comfort and the pillows were like envelopes providing no support or comfort. The general rundownness was to be expected given the facilities age, but that was not a concern. the first big deal was the shower which was terrifying to regulate. The valve was sahot and squishy in movement with precision impossible. It was a fight between cold shower and scalding. With an 8 year old in tow this was not a theoretical concern. 2nd deal breaker: on return from a day at the tennis tournament we found the room had not been detailed and were told that it was not done every day. The nice gentleman who lives in 114 brought us towels and allowed how he had the same problem trying to regulate his shower.
The pool, which our 8 year old wanted to try out after a long, slow drive from Orange County, was declared cold and not very clean.
I would avoid this unless you are more hard bottomed than me, even if it means missing a day of tennis at Indian Wells.
- Mmatthews67 (6/5): Old and Hard! - We arrived ar 11 pm after driving for 12 hrs.. And still having 4 hrs to go on our trip.. Had to call into Hiteks.com to book it... I guess for s two star motel, it was what we should have expected. It is 10 min off the highway , but fairly easy to find. The night clerk ( who lives in room 114) was a jerk! I had to call him or go get him from his room (as the posted sign reads) when I called him, he seemed "put out' that he had to come check us in. I was a bit concerned when we drive up.. It is a VERY OLD Motel, but in a decent area. There are two motels right next to this one. we did feel safe. The room however, smelled old, the arm chair was extremely worn and the bed was HARD and wrapped with plastic, the pillows were Very flat and jacked support.. I woke up with a sore neck and back! We were in the King bed room, I have added photos of room 105 ..
- longball44 (6/5): Old But Clean ~ $60 - We stayed here for three days and nights. When you first pull in you think ...... Oooooh, old motel. It is BUT it is a C-L-E-A-N- old motel. The owner keeps the grounds nice too. We saw the pool being cleaned but the owner apologized that he couldn't keep the hot tub hot.
Checked out more than one room. We inspected #112, 105 & 106. Chose #106 as it had a small kitchenette but two double beds. These beds were pretty hard/firm and if you are tall you have to sleep catercorner.
Older TV but plenty of channels. Old microwave and fridge but they were clean and they worked fine. The mgr. gave us extra coffee and towels.
So for $60 per night you get what you pay for. Pleasantly surprised but happy to have paid about $180 for three nights whereas the hotel we stayed at last year was up to $175 per day.
Check out the Mauna Loa Motel in Indio if you want to save $money$
- lodee73 (10/5): Better than expected - Being that there are only two other reviews on this site and no room photos, I was extremely concerned this place may not be good. However, I was very pleasantly surprised that it was actually very nice for the price we paid. When booking, I was only looking to suit my 4 basic needs; Safety, cleanliness, good nights rest, and a shower with good hot water pressure. Those needs were met, and then some. The room we booked was a king. When I checked in, I told the lady I wanted to see the room before I paid. She was more than happy to show me the room without hesitation. The King room was cute and cozy not to mention clean. The bathroom only had a stall shower, but it was a decent size stall. Since she had another room available for the 3 nights we were staying, she offered for us to see that room as well. It was slightly higher priced, but VERY large in comparison to the King and had 2 double beds. The double room also had a bathtub, so we decided to take that one. I feel that even a small family of 5 could have stayed in this room. It had a nice sized desk/chair, rollaway bed, closet, larger than average sized beverage fridge (very cold too), small microwave, armchair, and bureau with tube tv. The carpet was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size with excellent hot water and pressure. It was nice that there were two mirrors in the room besides one in the bathroom. This helped us girls get ready! Only complaints were that the room key took some getting used to using and the tv reception wasn't great. The pool and spa looked nice, but we didn't have time to use them. The grounds were nicely kept with flowering shrubs, pretty fig, and date trees. The parking lot was close to the room, but not in front of it like other motels usually have. I always felt safe, which was really important. I cannot believe how great everything was for the price. Free interent too! I would go back if ever in the area again. However, I would only recommend if you are looking for the basics. I truly appreciated the simplicity of this family owner and operated motel. It was easy to get to and quiet. As motels go, I think it doesn't get nicer than this (certainly for the price). I added some room photos and exterior shots. Also, the location was very convenient driving distance to many local restaurants. It's about 3 minutes drive to Starbucks(a morning must for us). There is a coffee maker in the room, but we didn't use it. Also, the Empire Polo fields are about a 10 minute drive away. Again, if you're looking for a safe, inexpensive place to sleep this is it!
- gooooogirl (8/5): Not bad! - Quiet and you get what you pay for. Basic no frills, but clean. The bed was really hard and the pillows flat. The shower pressure wasn't so great. But if you are just looking for a place to crash this is it! The management is really friendly and we felt safe there.
- RW856 (8/5): Was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of this older motel - Stopped by en route to the big tennis tournament and pulled in here, Kelly, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating. She offered to assist me with my laundry for a low cost. The room was huge and more modern looking inside than I would have thought given the age of the building. there was hot water galore for the showers too. Only negative was that the hot tub wasn't working then.
Overall, a very homelike feeling and very friendly people!
