Guest Reviews
- Lamin (2/5): Excellent - Very arrogant guess the hotel need to upgrade the staffs with hospitality courses
- Emran (2/5): - They have been breaching confidentiality by reporting stuff about what I've said and done to third parties and people that have nothing to do with the property. And then when I ask them about this they deny it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Would not try and save money to stay here again. The front desk people were rude and unhelpful. The metal bunks and plain walls makes you feel as if you're incarcerated. I would recommend to look elsewhere.
- Lizie (8/5): - Very nice staff and friendly people.. delicious breakfast!!!
- NickKno (8/5): - Good for a hostel. Breakfast could have been better.
- Angela (10/5): - On the first day out, our party got split up and the hostel helped us a ton with calls back and forth. Everyone from the staff was so nice and the place was wonderful and safe for kids.
- Galib (10/5): - It was amazing.Next time if I come I will stay here
- Jane (6/5): - The shower was very dark. Had to bring a flashlight into the room to shower
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Considering it was a hostel booking, I didn't expect too much. The hostel was very spacious but unfortunately I found the room to be overwelmingly hot. There was no airflow and the windows barely opened, so I had three uncomfortable, sleepless nights. The kitchen/sink area was a bit messy and I didn't really understand the back outdoor area. It felt 'dodgy'. I stayed on the third floor - the red floor - and the colour just gave me a headache.
Breakfast was simple but yummy, and was great for a hostel, and the hostel and rooms were very spacious.
Reception staff could be a bit more friendly. Overall it was okay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Could do better - Ok stay
- D. (8/5): - The hostel is a bit far from the tram stop (8 min walking) but I don't mind walking. Since is a little far from Amsterdam City Center you can sleep well without the busy city noises.
The hostel is big, it has a lot of areas, including a garden!
My room was very spacious.
There are vending machines to purchase water (2 euros, 500ml) and snacks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): OK for environment but not so good for services - Overall is good just that crews in the restaurant are aggressive, they talk loudly and warn you if you are not doing the right thing, kinda feel like being humiliated in public as everyone is looking! If u r in this hostel, just make sure u do things according to their way or not u will just be a public star.
- ALIAKSANDR (6/5): Mosquitoes in Amsterdam - In summer season the administration of this hostel prefer to save money on Air Conditioning and ventilation is coming through open windows. But the problem is that there are many Mosqitous outside at night (((( So visitors will suffer from the mosquito bites swelling.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bed was comfortable, room was big and spacious. Did not like that public transportation is still quite far away, and laundry service is not available on site.
- Lui Ming (4/5): Don't expect too much - We don't expect service from hostel but even we reported the faults of the room, e.g. lamps out of order, no action was taken.
- Johnny (6/5): Location is important - I wouldn't stay here again. It is really out of the way and not worth the bus or tram travel. The employees are stand-offish. Nothing happened but no good vibes. It's not welcoming to the normal hostel vibes i've been at. No group get together gatherings. It's solo at its best. Neighborhood is locals plus students. Big muslim community around the area with a nice arabic market around the corner. If you like middle eastern food, this would probably be the best scene for it. Place is clean, shower is good and kitchen is big. Normal breakfast.
The lost is the location. It's too far from the centre and plus more. I imagine if you traveled in a group, this would be fine as you have friends to chat with.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Super terrible staff. Started giving me attitude the moment I walked in. At first I thought it was how amsterdam ppl are. But turned out the city has many nice local ppl. And the day staff even gave me hard time for checkout. Made me run back to room to get the bed number card in order to check out. But when i ran back to room, the cards of the other roommates who alrdy checked out were still in the room. Totally not a welcoming place at all. Literally, WOW, thats the staff u hire. The black woman with glasses and the night staff were friendly tho. If you needa ask for help, u know who to find.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - breakfast is good, but the one of the male staff's attitude made me feel bad.
no socket near your bed is a bit inconvenient.
just skip this hostel if you are considering the location, as it takes time to go to the central.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was comfortable and warm, nice and spacious, the en suite shower and toilet facilities were very convenient and both very clean. The staff at the desk weren't the most welcoming or helpful and spoke very fast which was disappointing but ok. the kitchen provided a substantial breakfast
- ANDREW MICHAEL (8/5): One Night Hostel Stay - The experience was generally quite good and the bathroom was actually the cleanest it had ever been in my three visits to the place, so satisfied with my visit.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Receptionist was very rude no mobile charging ports....and it’s far from city centre
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place. Nice people. Nice breakfeast. Nice rooms.
- Lee (8/5): - Clean,... But a bit far away from all bus stop and tram stop, 8 people in a room...
- IRVIN (8/5): - Quite far from the Center but all in all a a great hostel.
Art work in the building gave the experience a great vibe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is one of the cleanest Hostels I have ever stayed in through Europe and its only a quick 5 min walk to the Sloterdikj trainstation that will have you in the city center of Amsterdam in 15-20 minutes by train.
- ROCIO (8/5): - The food it’s not good. Better if you buy something to carry and prepare it yourself at the kitchen they have at the lobby .... every guest do that :)
- Situ (8/5): - Very friendly and helpful reception staff, clean place, but unfriendly kitchen staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Encountered some rude staff, not pleasant. Location far out so not the best. No/few outlets in rooms to charge phone
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Friendly staffs. And it’s a hostel with a cozy lobby.
- russell (8/5): Good hostel on outskirts of Amsterdam - Good, inexpensive hostel away from the city center. Wide range of rooms with lockers for your gear. Pretty clean. Staff could be a bit friendlier. Full breakfast with good espreso maker. Interesting place that has interesting artistic activity constantly occuring. May not be the best choice for anyone not wanting to walk a bit. Buses and trams will quickly get you anywhere you wish to go, but 4+ blocks getting to any of the stops. Ethnically diverse neighborhood with wide variety of eating choices. Good bargain at $30/night
- Bryan (2/5): Worst hostel - The bed I was in had bed bugs. I spoke with the front desk after a very itchy and sleepless night. He lead me to believe that I would get a full refund and told me to speak with the manager. I spoke with the manager the following morning and he very rudely told me I would get a full refund but I would have to leave the hotel. I explained to him that I did not want to look for a hotel last minute since it would cost a lot more money. He said he didn’t want to keep dealing with me complaining about bed bugs. I explained to him that I wouldn’t want to keep staying there if I continued to see bed bugs even after switching beds and linen. He agreed to refund one night although he tried really hard to get me to leave the hotel against my will, he said I could stay but would not receive any further refunds even if I did see bed bugs again. Spoke with Orbitz customer service and they did nothing about it either. So I definitely will consider other travel sites and try my hardest to avoid Orbitz in the future
- Joseph (8/5): Great hostel - Great hostel, the beds were clean and comfy and the rooms were cleaned every day and you have access to a private shower room. The breakfast in he morning is between 8am 10.30am it’s very basic just toast, ham, turkey, cereal and juice and coffee but for what your paying it’s a bargain. Nice big airy biuilding with lots of contemporary art everywhere and a good atmosphere in the communal area. There’s a little pantry where you can store your own food in the fridge, use the microwave and the kettle and they serve a dinner every day at 6 or 7pm which costs €7.50 if you’d be interested in that. Everything is very secure no access to the building without a key card past midnight, and you need a key card to get onto the elevator and into your specific room. It’s very near to the sloterdijk station which you can get to very easily from Schiphol airport and from the station it’s a 15 - 22 minutes walk to the hostel and then the hostel is a 13 minute walk to the bos en lommerplein tram stop which will take right around the corner from Museumplein from which you can get a tram to anywhere in the city. All in all one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, it’s got all you can expect from a hostel:clean, safe and comfortable but also offers a decent breakfast and great location, I will definitely go again.
- Gonzo (6/5): Nice but really far out - It's quite far out making it hard to find especially in the dark. When I asked around the locals they weren't awere of it either which made its location harder. The neighbourhood isn't that bad ut it's a good 10 minutes to a bus (21) for central station which will take 20 minutes. Its very basic and you can't eat or even have water in your room to drink which in a heatwave wasn't cool. You can smoke your weed and cigarettes outside. And they have no issues with booze either as long as it's downstairs. The wifi was medium strength and the staff where friendly enough they spoke a variety of languages. There local knowledge however not so great. A towal will set back an extra five euro. And there definitely isn't anough sockets for everyone to charge there devices especially if you consider most people have two a piece. They will give you a map if you ask but you do seem to need to ask for things and there helpfulness is dependent on who's on shift. I didn't see the same person twice in four days. Except for the guy that lived next door that hung around outside the back he knows amsterdam better. And the local area and is happy to point you in the right direction. Just don't forget to offer him a smoke. The tolitries that they supply are nastie bring your own. Make sure you have plenty of change for the vending machines. Breakfast starts at eight it looked ranked and the coffee was dishwater so I skipped it. In the evening there's a meal of the day but yuk
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hostel, friendly people and great breakfast spread. Just not so keen on the area
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice lobby however, the room was not clean; when I woke up there were bugs on the wall.
- Shauna (6/5): - Very warm rooms, clean and breakfast was okay. Not much selection and the layout was difficult as you had to keep lining up to go back and get something to add to your breakfast. Had to buy a towel. Area is quite far, but a km or so from train.
- Stephan (6/5): - Typical Hostel, but bossier than usual about beer & wine - officially, all you can have are the 33 cl cans of Heineken sold in their vending machine @ € 2.00 - and you can't even take those up to your room.
Slightly dodgy location, by Amsterdam standards, but nothing to worry about, really.
Once you know what you're doing, it's only about a ten minute walk from Amsterdam Sloterdijk station - but, if you don't know what you're doing, it can easily take an hour. The directions one gets from Google Maps are all but incomprehensible.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hostel. Breakfast wasn’t all that but it’s free so totally understandable! Bed was comfortable and clean which is what matters most! Definitely recommend if need to stay a couple nights!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice cheap hostel but room and beds not very clean, staff friendly but not professional!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not impressed with condition of room. Poor bedding but ok for price. Breakfast very basic and staff rude especially tall black man.
- Jorge (10/5): Nice stay, don't be picky though. - I like walking and made it on foot there but took me very long. The closest bus/tram/metro can feel far if you have heavy luggage or a painful leg. The breakfast was good, the facilities reaaonably clean for being a hostel. You need to bring your own towel, soap is provided. The plugs may be too far from your bed. No cupboards, there are metallic boxes under the bed which are perfectly fine, you can bring a lock to close the box for security (maybe they offer locks/towels in reception, I didn't ask). The internet is more than fine for communication, not sure for online film watching or gaming (I didn't try). It is next to a busy road, so if your window faces that side you will hear the traffic the whole night long (unless you really want to close the window of a room shared with 7 more people). All in all, it fulfills its function and the social area allows for making new friends (which happened to me). Yes, it has flaws, but I would go there again in another visit to Amsterdam.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Too far away from action - I booked this hostel without really knowing the location as to the things I wanted to do and see, therefore, I spent a ton of money on Taxi's. Could I have used public transportation, maybe, but the bus pickup spots are not very clearly marked. Same as the trolley pickup spots.
As far as this place goes, it is a very safe place, only registered guests with key cards can activate the elevator to get to any of the rooms. Same as getting into the place after 11:00.
Rooms were very spacious and clean, and quiet ! I din't get disturbed by children playing in the adjacent rooms, nor bothered by the party crowd.
Temperature of rooms and common area was fine.
Breakfast is a joke, lunch meat, cheese slices, and corn flakes. Oh, and bread. No fresh fruit, eggs, or other meat. Not an English type of fare.
Front desk help were courteous and helped everytime I made a request.
Good mix of clients, there were older folks, teens, college students, and families staying here.
I would say that for its price, it gives you a fair value, but I should have researched the location more.
- Leslie (10/5): Great - Real nice place ..beds so comfy. Breakfast was good..staff v friendly. Was a little out of the city but no prob as uber were available or tram from a little walk. Defo recomend
- jerry (2/5): Poor room Conditions and staff service - 1. Poor staff service
- The staff were not helpful regarding the basic informations of the hotel. They were not polite and rolled their eyes if you ask them more than one question.
2. Luggage room
- no identification was needed to collect the luggage and anyone can store their luggage in the room. Basically if you just ask the staff to open the door to the luggage’s, you can go in and take any luggage you want.
3. Damaged power sockets
- only one power socket in an 8 person room was working. The staff said there was an electricity problem and can only be fixed until next week. The whole room had to share an extention cord. (This had nothing to do with the Amsterdam blackout)
- Richard (10/5): Friendly staff, very clean place. - I really enjoyed my stay the staff were very friendly and helpful, the place was really clean and tidy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): WATCH OUT - I was in the common area using my phone for a few hours and the guy who was watching the desk came over and started cussing me out and accusing me of not staying there. Producing my key card failed to yield an apology. The next morning I went to check out and didn't bring my bed card down, at which point I was again cursed at and told never to come back. So I responded in kind, got about 50 feet from the front door, got my bearings and started jogging towards the train station because I was late leaving for my flight and sure enough the same guy started running after me again yelling and cursing. It was actually pretty funny and definitely added to the list of stories I got on this trip but probably won't stay there again ;)
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Arrogant staff member with too high attitude. the location not very convenient. will not recommend if you are looking for a comfortable stay in amsterdam
- Joe (6/5): - It was alright, get what you pay for!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I feel like the entire hostel and workers have no the best attitude.
- Moe (4/5): Didn't check in- no refund given - Although they claim to offer baggage storage, they couldn't offer me enough storage to safely store my bag. They didn't refund my booking.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It's not real hotel its a sharing room but we book a peivet room
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed Bugs Galore! - I have just come back from a stay in Wow and am covered in bed bug bites, so I would have to give it a poor rating. One of the first persons I talked to dismissed my bites as mosquito bites saying he knew what bed bug bites looked like and mine were not them. But I kept getting more and more bites and wasn't hanging out in areas of town that had mosquitoes. On my last night there, I actually saw three crawling on my bed. I videotaped to show to staff so they couldn't deny. Some staff you deal with in this hostel are nice, but it's a fifty/fifty on whether you will talk to someone nice or someone kurt. The hostel isn't too conducive to mingling. I just lucked out on meeting some nice guests staying that salvaged my stay in this hostel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A decent youth hostel, most of the people are in their 20s traveling through Europe. Good vibe but it's ran too much like a business, can't bring food or drinks into the room and even though there is something resembling a bar there was no one there. A good 40 min walk or a 20 min bike to city centre.
- Gianmarco (6/5): Roomy, but not cozy - A bit far from the city center. Can be a little noisy with other roommates at night. Nice service. Food good, but some servers grumpy. Very nice open downstairs area, like a bank lobby. Not such a warm cozy feeling as at some other hostels.
- Ignacio (8/5): Clean and spacius - Very clean and lot of room, with a big locker as well. Nice to have a bathroom per bedroom.
I enjoyed my stay there. I would definitely come back to this hostel.
- CHE NING (8/5): Great value - Friendly staff clean room free breakfast acceptable distance to the city
By the way The Turkish brooder in Bos en lommerplein square was amazing and only for 3 euros
- Hugo (2/5): Far from everything - The hostel is so far that is you want a snack you have to walk 20min to the closest market. Local or fast food is about a 20min drive. Not practical for walking or backpacking.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty pantry and lobby area. Staff were not friendly and rude. My four-bed dorm was not too bad although not clean. Toilet and bathroom were clean and modern.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff was helpful. Breakfast was included but not very good. Area around hostel and town as a whole filthy. Our room was nice
- Verified traveler (6/5): WOW Hostel Amsterdam - Convenient location, check in quick enough and accessible 24 hours. Bathroom was a bit dirty and smelt quite bad.
I only stayed one night but was glad that I did not need to stay any longer.
- sadonna rogers (10/5): great place to stay - I really enjoyed it but was a bit out of town although only ten minutes to a tram. large population of Muslims in area made me feel a bit uncomfortable to walk around at night
- russell (10/5): Alternative to staying in center of Amsterdam - Good inexpensive alternative to noisy expensive places in town. 20 minute tram to central station or museum district. Tram stop about a 10 minute walk away. About a 15 minute walk to Sloterdijk trains. Really clean, good free breakfast, nice espresso maker. Happening place with a lot of innovative art hanging around. Cool neighborhood with a lot of shops and restaurants 5 minute walk away.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Go only if you want to save some money - Service by the reception was terrible. They were very rude and behaving as if they don't care about their customers. Breakfast was average. Neighborhood was ok. A little bit further away from city centre.
- Stephanie (8/5): Good budget hostel - It is good value for money.
I guess the room is only as clean as the people you share it with.
For people on a low budget this is a good place and easy to reach with public transport.
Staff was friendly; overall good ;) Thank you.
- Sally (8/5): Nice hotel for a short stay - Overall a good place to stay for a short stay. Comfy beds, spacious rooms and nice lobby area. Train and bus station & shopping centre all within walking distance. Only downfall is that you can't eat/drink in your room & housekeeping don't knock before entering room.
- Stan Van Dijk (8/5): Far away from everywhere - It was a pleasant experience overall. Staff were friendly, free breakfast, bed was already filled (I like it so much).
But breakfast were poor, only bread, cheese, peanut and chocolate butter + not tasty milk with cornflakes are available if you're vegetarian. There are 1 toilet for 1 room which is extremely not comfortable because you can't enter other bathrooms.
- lily (10/5): Best vacation - Meet great people at hotel from other countrys perfect for traveling alone
- Michael (4/5): Inexpensive Spacious Hostel with Flaws - The hostel is located within a residential neighbourhood, 15 minutes walking distance to a tram and metro stations, as well as Amsterdam Sloterdijk, with some shops nearby, but there are no late night food options, except for KFC, which is open until 23.30.
The Front Desk staff are not very friendly to guests, even downright rude at times. I spent over an hour in the lobby waiting for check-in time and was able to observe their behaviour. They are very friendly toward each other, but turn off any smiles when dealing with guests. When I asked one Front Desk staffer to borrow an electrical adapater, he immediately said they did not have any available and to check back later. When I asked what time, he just said, "Later". When he left the desk, I asked the other staffer the same question, and she immediately got up and found one in the back office.
I stayed at this hostel twice within a couple of weeks and both bathrooms did not have a working lightbulb above the sink. Both times, I reported the problem to the front desk and the lights were never replaced.
The breakfast is minimal, consisting of coffee, cereal breads and toast, luncheon meats and cheese and juice. The staff in the breakfast area are not very friendly and will sternly reprimand guests for not using the correct side of the counter.
Overall, the service at this hostel is very poor, from Front Desk to breakfast staff. The rooms and beds are adequate. Rates are low, so you get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place. Good people in the reception. Easy to get into the city centre.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Don't Expect Much - You would expect much more for a place that was so far from the city center but no. The entire place is poorly ran. Guys who run the kitchen in the morning are rude. They watch over you like hawks serving bread, sandwich meat, and some peanut butter and jelly. I asked if I could fill my water bottle up with water and was told I could boil water in the small kitchenette they have. Power outlets are on one side of the bedroom. Rooms are painted an obnoxious shade of red. They "clean" your room daily but don't bother to touch the bathrooms. Impossible to take a shower without flooding the entire bathroom. You have to walk a good 7-10 minutes for the nearest bus station.
- Justin (8/5): Good - Nice stay! Love the luggage room which allowed me to check out while being able to explore the city!
- Ruby (6/5): Nice for the price - Room was very spacious and it was nice to have a box below the bed to put your luggage.
I did not like the attitude of the front desk guys/girls, they seem not to care about you as a guest, they seem not to like providing information to the tourists, anything I asked it was like like bothering them, they were not happy working there, please change personnel or provide good training for customer service.
In the room the share shower has like 20 cms space from the tub to the door, so it was so difficult to dry your body not standing in the wet tub.
There should be 2 plugs in the wall per bed, for the light and anything else you want to plug, only 1 is not enough.
- E (8/5): Nice hotel - Something I really care about is the treatment you get when being a tourist (you don't know anything of th place), ALL receptionists in Wow hostel, with no exception were rude to me all times, they seem not to like their job and they always answer in the worst mood.
Breakfast was very good and enough to start the day.!
- Phor ranat (8/5): Far but comfortable - The hotel is far from the nearest train station but it's 15-min-walk from bus stop and tram. The hotel provided very useful information like all transportation and how to get to tourist places. The breakfast is included even in the cheapest price. However, I had to share toilet and shower with 13 people ,which is not a preferable ratio in my opinion
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nothing Great - It was not a very great experience staying here. Room was ok but the WiFi was horrible. I had to sit in the lobby to use it. I dint find anything great here. Will prefer staying to some other hostel in future. Its close to a tram station and no 14 will take you to Dam square.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Large hostel with large common spaces, interesting decor, reasonably clean. Location is so-so, about 10~15 mins walk from nearby stations. Rooms were pretty hot as there was no way to control the temperature and the windows could not be opened. Also, the room I got had very awkward and limited power outlet placements. However the beds were clean and comfortable, and bed frames were sturdy enough that bed does not shake like crazy every time somebody clambers up or down the ladder, which is a good thing. Wifi was available throughout the hostel although the Internet connection was pretty slow inside the rooms. The front desk receptionists were cheerful and friendly, however the guy manning the breakfast buffet table in the restaurant was pretty surly and rude. All in all, I've had better hostel experiences elsewhere for half the price but considering that accommodation seems to be pretty expensive in Amsterdam this is an okay choice if you don't expect too much.
- Soham (6/5): Cool hostel - Nice and clean hostel. Tram/Metro stop just nearby. Breakfast included (decent breakfast). Loved the colored themes. Not very noisy, so one can sleep well. Will stay here again
- Verified traveler (6/5): It's a bed and a hot shower. - It was exactly what I needed. The staff was friendly. The rooms were dorm style with bunk beds. They have a locker for your luggage, be sure to bring your own lock. Shared bathroom for the floor. The lobby is a nice place to interact and meet new people. They have a restaurant adjacent to the lobby where the food was lovely. Dinner was only 8 euros. It's a little ways from the city center but there is a bus stop right down the street. Very accessible to everything.
- Wilson (4/5): You could find a better one - When a reception staff answered "You can search it online" after you asked for travel/ transport advice, I really don't consider they're being helpful.
- Jen (6/5): The neighborhood is safe. - The only thing i did not like about the location of WOW is the fact that the trains/ trams/buses do not go through the street it is located. You have to walk at least 10 mins or more to get to the bus/train/tram stop
- shailesh (10/5): Excellent - Want to stay again in WOW
- vivian (8/5): Amsterdam, I'll be back - I had a great time in Amsterdam and the place is not bad...like it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was very quiet, however people were coming in and out of the room. I am not a light sleeper so I was fine. There was one bathroom per 8 people. Each person in your room had a key card to get into hostel, activate elevator, get in room, and get I'm bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hostel, bit far out. - The hostel was great; staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the beds were. The free breakfast was basic but adequate; bread, cheese, ham, jams and coffees.
The only downside with the hostel was the location. Although the location itself was very pleasant, the hostel was location quite far out from the main areas. WOW was about a 20 minute cycle or a 50 minute walk from the Central Station.
I would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 2/5 - This hostel is outside the city center and there's not much to do in the immediate vicinity. The closest metro station is 15 minutes away. As for the hostel itself, it is large and unlike most other hostels I've been to. There's not much of a social scene at the lobby, so it feels like a hotel. The layout is a bit strange and the colors of the walls made my head hurt.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - room was very clean but little far from central of Amsterdam
- Daniel (8/5): Good budget hotel - Rate was good budget hotel for 5 of us. It has bunk beds.
- Gustavo (8/5): Good stay - Pretty nice hostel. Clean room. Awesome for any traveling art student. Various works on display, as well as occasional stage performances. Good breakfast and dinner. Its not exactly near the city center, but not too far. The bathrooms could have been in better condition. I requested that they fix the broken shower gel pump, but they never did. Still, I'd recommend it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing art on display - Very clean and safe place.you can expect to meet some grt people.jus 20 mins from airport.bkfst is nyc
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very good value - Great, breakfast top, huge metal container to put my bag in and lock away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's what it said it would be. The atmosphere is great though, really easy to meet people etc. Just worth noting that it's about 25mins out of the city centre, but that's just a couple tram stops so not a real issue.
- Tatsuya (8/5): Great hostel - Kind staffs. Free breakfast. Clean room. Great accessibility. I strongly recommend this hostel if you want to stay Amsterdam with lower expense.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Epic hostal - Pretty clean and full of activities to do. The breakfast is awesome
- Mr Bond 007 (8/5): Nice hotel, Close to the beach. - This was a Very nice hotel with a very secure location, 24 hour Reception, Complimentary Boat ride, Free Internet, free breakfast, lunch & Tea, 2 hours walk from the nearest beach, 1 hour walk from the red light district, Only one stop away from the famous Las Vegas strip (by plane), 5 hours drive from the Eiffel Tower (Paris), 8 hours drive from the Oxford Street (London). 12 hour from the times square. This are all what you get when you stay in this hotel.
- Jen (8/5): will stay it again - Nice hostel with a great free breakfast, no guest kitchen, only a microwave and a small refrigerator, a bit far from the city. More than 1hour on foot or 15 by tram.
- Christen (10/5): Hostel w/ hotel vibe - This is a great hostel to stay at, especially for the price! It's clean, spacious, unique, and the hostel staff are helpful. The only possible downside is that it is slightly outside of the city center (10 minute tram ride away) and there isn't much of a "party" vibe (which I preferred). If you are looking to meet a ton of other travellers, it might be slightly challenging, but I found the quiet to be peaceful and relaxing. Overall, highly recommended!
- Kevin (8/5): Nice and unique building - It was converted from a school property. It still has some studios in the building. It is a bit far from city centre but for the cost, it was not a big deal. The hostel is located in a nice area. I met a lot of travellers from around the world in this hostel. Take the close by train, you can easily access to the airport.
- seo (10/5): Nice - Great design nice!!!!
- Dean (8/5): Almost Perfect - I stayed here with a friend and my parents. Our beds were extremely comfortable. We had not the slightest issue with noise. Staff were happy to help; they even ordered us a pizza to reception to save us the hassle. The only issue we had, which we didn't perceive as an issue but others might, is that it takes roughly 5 - 10minutes to get to the bus station, and 10 - 15minutes on the bus to the city central. It costs 2.90 (euro) to use dvb (name of service) trams, buses, and trains for up to an hour, or something like 7 euro for 24 hours. Over all it was a great hostel.
- Yujiao (8/5): nice experience - nice good
