• Nagalingam (8/5): Good place but needs more facilities - Staff friendly. No lift, food variety has to improve. Need more heaters in the room.
• Tanuj (3/5): 3-star facilities with 5-star prices - The staff was the only redeeming factor of this property- they were exceptionally warm and attentive. Misleading listing: 1. The property used to be a Holiday Inn, and underwent some changes in the infra/amenities last year, but they have not updated these. e.g. Bathtub was mentioned and also included in room photos, but the property doesn't have any bathtubs now. We were too put off to explore more and check what else may have been missing. It seems deliberate that they have not updated details in over a year. For me, this amounts to cheating and in violation of consumer laws, as their posting has false information/advertising. 2. Our booking promised a 20% F&B discount. We only ended up ordering once at the hotel, and were refused this discount saying it does not apply to our specific order. No such thing was mentioned or shown to us in writing. It was too small an amount to argue about, but was indicative of Club Mahindra's standards of integrity and customer service. Property location, view: Average at best. It is located 4 km from the city centre, which can be worthwhile if the location itself is great and offers spectacular views. However, the view is nice but nothing worth paying a premium for, and the location itself is in a village. Food: 1. The restaurant staff is sweet but undertrained. Even a basic masala omelette needed detailed instructions. 2. The breakfast spread is ok- it matches the quality of 3-star business hotels you typically find in cities. 3. The 'coffee' available is instant coffee in milk or hot water. Surprising that a hotel that charges 10k+ per night (inc taxes) is unable to keep a proper coffee machine, something easily available even in cheap cafes in Manali. 4. The bakery and confectionary items at breakfast were atrocious, equivalent of what you get in cheap bakeries (e.g. the cakes were dry and contained synthetic tutti-fruity bits, doughnuts hardly edible). Given Manali has terrific German Bakeries, the hotel can either source stuff from them or get their staff trained on better cakes.

• hemant (10/5): Good location away from city center crowd - Maybe more than 200 hotel out there, but if u need space for yourself to enjoy mountain with ur famaly then this may be best one. But its not the cheap one for sure
