- Christina (3/5): - The walls are paper thin. I could hear the guy next door talking on the phone for 90 minutes until 12:30 in the mornng. Also, the highway noise was really loud all night. And the bed pillows are uncomfortable, way too firm and thick. Was very hard to sleep comfortably there.

- davelY5360HL (8/5): Weekend trip - Room was pretty clean, bathroom wall is in need of repair above the shower. Sink was clogged, they came to fix but it still drained very slow. Breakfast was the usual stuff with no variation from day to day. Breakfast area was kept clean and stocked.

Biscuits didn’t seem to be fresh, and they were cold, but as breakfast bars go, it was very acceptable. The gentleman who operated the breakfast bar was very friendly, and accommodating. - Terence (9/5): Macro satisfaction in a Microtel, Lynchville, VA - We had never heard of Microtel, so we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-appointed the room was. Having made good time on the highway, we arrived early. Luckily, the reservation clerk was able to put us in a room on the 3rd floor right away, so we could have the afternoon free for lunch at Shakers (good food) and visit two small specialist museums. The bed was very comfortable, and there are two desk chairs, a couch and lots of storage space. While Mr Evers, running the breakfast kitchen, was welcoming, charming, and helpful, the hotel's logistics system fell short. In the South, biscuits and gravy are a basic food item -- and there was no gravy! There was an empty cookie holder in the lobby when most of the evening's guests arrived. Several staff members told me that cookies are only prepared on Monday and Friday, which seems unusual. We arrived on a Friday, so either the cookies were not baked or the entire stock disappeared quickly.

I liked that they allow pets. Grounds seemed nice. Room was a little rough. Lighting was either harsh or too little. Only a small mirror in room. Brownish red splatter on bathroom wall near light switch and sink I had to wipe off. Body wash bottle was empty. Hair on product bottles and light switch. AC made loud clattering noise when on. Mattress has worn dip that felt like you had to climb out of to roll over.

- Viktorija (10/5): Comfy and perfect for our family - This hotel was perfect for our family stay in Lynchburg. It was clean, comfortable, and felt very safe, which is something we truly value when traveling with kids. The staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. I’d especially like to extend my gratitude to the breakfast lady - your smile and kind words in the morning meant more than you know and truly made our days start on a positive note. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to other families visiting the area.

- motenn2015 (4/5): Don’t count on a decent breakfast. - One gets what one pays for. Breakfast was inadequate when it opened up at 6:30am. No yogurt, and empty egg and meat pan because according to hotel staff on duty, the truck had not yet arrived. Since my stay was NOT on a holiday or long weekend, I attribute lack of fresh food inventory to lack of proper ordering and customer care. Really out of food for early morning breakfast? Come on manager… I passed a Sam’s club on the way to the hotel.

I had a couch, and there was even a little sitting area at the window. It was close to the elevator, and it wasn't so much the people coming on and off of it. The the elevator itself was loud.

The staff was very friendly, but the breakfast was the usual bland law hotel, bacon, etc. the beds were OK and I didn’t have any problems with them. Overall, if we were paying out-of-pocket I would’ve stayed there again and did. It just reminded me of an older hotel.
