Small and very stylish, this hotel’s tranquil garden setting in a quiet backstreet evokes all the atmosphere of the traditional Cambodia. The comfortable, spacious rooms are attractively adorned with antique and decorative artefacts and the nice pool offers the perfect retreat after a hot day visiting the temples! I first stayed here 18 months ago and on this visit was delighted to find that nothing had changed, including all the delightful, friendly and attentive staff - for whom every request seemed like a welcome gift rather than a chore! We were made to feel like family. Best of all, everything was seamlessly and quietly organised for us. We just outlined our plans, and the guides, transport (taxi or tuk tuk, according to needs) restaurant reservations, tickets etc., were all arranged without any fuss or difficulty. Thank you everyone at the Sokkhak Boutique Hotel - I look forward to my next visit!

The staff was incredibly helpful in arranging our trips to explore the Angkor Wat complex and the city center. The swimming pool was calm and peaceful, and the room was spacious, spotless, and always well cleaned. The hotel’s unique style and design showed how creative the owner must be. The location was also very convenient, perfectly situated between the town and Angkor Wat. The hotel is surrounded by a tropical garden, allowing guests to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. На территории прекрасный бассейн с водопадом. Очень стильный интерьер отеля. Отдыхали душей и телом. На территории отеля заказали хороший массаж. Нам всегда помогали заказывать такси или тук-тук. Отличные завтраки под заказ. Ужины в отеле также были прекрасными. Но больше всего мы остались довольны от работы персонала отеля. Весь персонал был очень внимателен и доброжелателен. Мы чувствовали себя желанными гостями. Хотели бы приехать ещё не раз. Просьба исправить все розетки в номере. Плохо держались все наши зарядные устройства. Также, немного смущала открытое помещение с раковиной (душ и туалет закрываются). Занавеска решила бы это неудобство.

- Resort02121529051 (10/5): Cute hotel - I had a wonderful stay at Sokkhak Boutique Resort & Spa. The hotel is located near the Angkor Wat Archaeological Park, making it convenient to travel by tuk-tuk or bicycle. The staff were helpful and warmly welcomed me every time I returned from exploring, providing me with a cold towel and cool water. The swimming pool was gorgeous and peaceful. Everything was well thought out. An unforgettable stay! I highly recommend it 100%, and I will come back with my big family.

A short walk up a lane way from all the “hubbub” of the village and you have a peaceful place to relax. Our room was enormous. All the hand embroidered touches were lovely (& the local embroidery and hand made goods on site was excellent too). Staff welcome was much appreciated. Not an issue but, just in case, be prepared for a busy breakfast early. It may not be every day but clearly most guests were going on tours and at 630am opening it was full on (the only time we saw that in 3 weeks of travel). There was some confusion with transport organised by the hotel. It was resolved but took some back and forth to sort it out.

- Roam698925 (10/5): Exceptional oasis - We had an amazing stay at the Sokkhak boutique hotel. Everyone was incredibly friendly & attentive and the food and service were fantastic. Our hotel receptionist Srey mao was awesome and our tuk tuk driver Tauck was excellent and we ended up using his for all our adventures. Don’t miss the gorgeous pool and delicious breakfast. It’s a 5 minute tuk tuk ($3) ride to town and it was perfect!

The location is a few kilometers outside of town which makes it a wonderful peaceful retreat from downtown. They have a Tuk Tuk service so you can have it ready when you want to go downtown and be picked up for a reasonable fee. The staff is always attentive to your needs and show up with water when you’re enjoying the pool. Breakfast was great. The rooms are very spacious poolside and very quiet. I really liked the hotel’s focus on sustainability. No plastic and everything in glass and compostable containers when we took breakfast on our early morning Angkor Wat tour. We were sorry to leave!

- sharlanf (10/5): WOW!!! Do I have to leave?! - Sokkhak is a slice of heaven. It's tucked away off the beaten path and is a hidden gem. It's luxurious but casual vibe makes you feel relaxed and welcome. The staff is what really makes the experience exceptional. They are warm, inviting, attentive and the loveliest staff I've ever come across. We booked our guide, driver and massages here and were extremely pleased. They are knowledgeable and advised us of other options after our temple tours. We visited Apopo Center, just a short distance down the road and the Lotus Farm about 20-25 minutes out of town. They also recommended the sunrise viewing at Angkor Wat and packed breakfast boxes for our early morning departure. Don't let the location deter you from having a most memorable stay. Would give 10 stars if possible!

Sometimes the pictures make a hotel look better than it is, this experience was the opposite. This beautiful hotel far exceeded our expectations. We loved that it was off the beaten path and was an oasis in Siem Reap. Every detail of the hotel is well thought out. Layout, floral arrangements, furnishings & art were all unique and exquisite. But the facilities pale in comparison to the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. They arranged our tours, rides into town and had great recommendations for activities. When we returned to the hotel they immediately brought water service to our room. They arranged box breakfast for our Angkor Wat sunrise tour. So many small details were also attended to. I cannot say enough about Sokkhak. I wish I could find the same on every holiday.

- Ricardo (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Sokkhak Boutique Resort & Spa in Siem Reap. The hotel is small and human-sized, which creates a very warm and personal atmosphere. Everyone was extremely kind and always ready to help at any time. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful attentions, such as being welcomed back from our visits with fresh towels and refreshing drinks. These small gestures really made a difference. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail and a personalized welcome that made us feel truly cared for. The hotel is located slightly away from the city center, which provides a calm and tranquility, but requires a tuk tuk every time you ned to reach city centre. Reaching the center costing around 5 USD for a round trip. Breakfast is a la carte. The staff were attentive and kind. At times, the service felt almost too attentive for our personal taste, for example, we don’t always need main door to be opened for us, but I believe that this clearly comes from a genuine desire to provide excellent service and make guests feel special. Overall, this is a beautiful, peaceful hotel, with wonderful staff, ideal for travelers looking for comfort, calm, and a more personal experience. We would happily recommend it.

Il est très pratique car situé du côté des temples. Le bruit. Nous avions une des trois chambres qui débouchent dans le lobby. Nous avons été réveillés tous les matins à 4h45 par les personnes qui partaient pour le lever de soleil sur les temples. Et ensuite par les autres qui partent plus tard. L'hôtel devrait investir dans des portes insonorisées...

- 234suziey (10/5): A true "welcome home" in Siem Reap - We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our holiday as a base while we visited the temples. The staff were incredibly welcoming—in fact, their greeting to us was "welcome home." I've never been made to feel more welcome. Staying here felt a bit like hiring a villa with staff. Because of the limited number of rooms, the staff were so attentive and we experienced the epitome of personal service. Drinks and cold towels were brought to us every time we arrived back from our days out. We ate in their sister restaurant, which was very pretty with exceptionally good food, and we stayed for cocktails by the pool. We loved the little touch of using lemongrass straws in the drinks! During our stay, we had a couples spa treatment at the hotel which was great. My husband had reflexology on his feet and said it was fantastic. We used the hotel's tuk-tuk for both days of tours and booked our guide, Lin, through the hotel too. Having a tour guide is a good idea; you get a personal photographer and you don't miss anything at the temples. We managed to visit 13 temples in 2 days. Shopping in Siem Reap in the evening is also very pleasant. Just a light-hearted warning: if you ask your tuk-tuk driver for bar recommendations, be specific! Our driver didn't quite understand our taste in bars and took us to a KTV place and a sports bar. Both had escorts waiting for customers at the entrance, which wasn't exactly what we were looking for!

Because it is a boutique hotel, it feels much more intimate and truly like a home away from home. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and they clean the rooms very thoroughly every day, always making sure you have everything you need. The food in their lovely restaurant is delicious, and the spa massages are great as well. I would highly recommend this hotel!

- PETER ANTHONY (9/5): - I really liked this hotel - an oasis of peace and quiet away from the madness and noise of the downtown area (am I beginning to show my age?) Beautifully designed and spacious rooms. I really enjoyed the food at the hotel but unfortunately I seemed to be the only one eating there in the evenings - it is about the same price as downtown but of much higher quality. In the unlikely event that I am ever back in Siem Reap, I will be staying here. There were some internet problems on the first night but I expect these were more related to the national IT infrastructure than an in-hotel issue. Avoid the hotel transport as the prices are unrealistically high compared to Grab, which is widely available and quick.

There are only two floors and the rooms on the ground level was dark and more humid compared to the upper floor room. But my friend had water drainage problem in the shower of upper flr room. The local cuisine at the hotel is all delicious since the hotel owner also has popular restaurant in the city center nearby. I would like to return to this hotel. The hotel staffs are all very very pleasant and nice. I had very good experience.

- jojom999 (10/5): So glad we chose this hotel - We chose this hotel to be a little away from the hustle and bustle of the main town of Siem Reap. A decision I'm very glad we made! The service here was excellent, they arranged tours and transfers for us and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, including breakfast bags to take with us on early starts. The hotel is in a quiet location too but very easy to get a tuktuk into town and back again for a set fee, so no worries about being ripped off. I genuinely think this is the best option for staying in Siem Reap - I know there are some bigger more well known names but I'm super glad we chose this one.

They'll arrange a tuktuk when you need one and you can arrange with the driver to pick you up to bring you back.
