Leilani (6/5): - The staff at checkin experience was questionable. Felt very much like we were being taken for a ‘ride’ The booking description didn’t feel accurate or explained. We thought we booked individual rooms and ended up individual beds in a dorm room. We switched at checkin thankfully. However it would’ve been cheaper to hire a house for two than what we ended up paying for. And considering it’s still a good walk or short drive to beach.

Dannette (3/5): Did not stay and very disappointed with Hot beach staff and booking.com - I booked through Booking.com. Originally is said refund up to 2 days prior to stay. After booking, it said non-refundable. I was upset, but had no reason to believe we would not stay. While we were there, there was a cyclone hitting Coramandel. I called Hot Beach and asked for a refund. Sara said she would refund our stay, but I had to email to request. I emailed the email she provided and also emailed booking.com. Upon arriving home, I had emails stating that they cold not refund because I did not cancel on booking.com, which I did by email.
J (6/5): Close to Hot Water Beach but expensive for what you get - The location is great, it's in walking distance to Hot Water Beach. Cabins are compact but contain a fridge and table with chairs. Received lots of automated messages from them, both through booking.com and by mail, with little value. The first messages didn't even contain a greeting which felt odd and unwelcoming. But the worst was that the room smelled strongly of chemical cleaning agents. After keeping door and windows open for a while, it got better, but the some of it was still there when I went to bed which was not pleasant.

crystal_9412 (10/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay, and a nice, handy location to Hot Water Beach that was an easy walk away. The powered sites were a decent size while being nice and flat, and the amenities were pretty good, apart from one night where my partner and I had shower issues (the hot water was reluctant to make an appearance). Being so far from anywhere, it was great having the pizzeria that does some pretty tasty pizzas, but pivots to serving Coffee/Gelato at other times of the day. We found the staff were friendly and helpful here too.

marissarK4556MP (6/5): Camping at Hot Water Beach - Went camping for a night, the staff were very friendly, the kitchen had everything and the view was great. However, showers were either too hot or too cold and the toilets and sinks were not well maintained. The pools had a weird smell.

I feel like the cabin is overpriced for what it is small. Also the showers are cold basically, warm for 4mins max. There's no phone service which was annoying and Iimited WiFi. So all those things combined are a bit annoying. The duvet covers on the beds look like they're never washed.

I booked a deluxe cabin with 2 single beds but was provided a double bed cabin instead - they did offer a swap but for a standard cabin, so I stuck with the deluxe. Staff were still friendly and apologetic about mix up.

GregoryK1268 (10/5): Outstanding facilities for campers - An absolute pleasure to spend two nights at this well appointed park. The ablutions were spotlessly clean and the kitchen a pleasure to use. It was out of season but there were still many tourists around. Just a short walk to the main attraction and also not far from Hahei Beach if your’e looking for restaurants and touristy shops. Closest town of appreciable size is Whitianga, which was really great because it has all the mainstream shops, restaurants and facilities you could want and only 37kms away. This is definitely a park I will return to in the future.

Christine (10/5): Stay here!!!! - Everything was amazing! Staff from reception, to bar, to coffee shop were above and beyond excellent! The facilities are VERY nice. I stayed in a cabin, and it was very new looking, spotless, adorable, and comfortable. The pool was clean, and the property was spectacular. Location to Hot Water Beach couldn’t be better! Highly recommend!

HarpyEschy81 (10/5): This park was just brilliant - I just thought it was brilliant. The service from the moment we arrived was just so hospitable and the facilities were top notch. Our unit was presented to a very high standard and staff were friendly. Pool and bar area were a great place to hang out and the atmosphere on the Saturday night was relaxing and ambient.
Rita (10/5): If you're going to Hot Water Beach this is the place to stay. - Location, location, location! Also quiet, clean and great food! We stayed in the ensuite cabins.
Pascal (8/5): - Toller Campingplatz. Sehr schön gepflegt und das Personal sehr freundlich. Der Weg zum Strand ist nicht weit (15min zu Fuss). Die Angebote vor Ort (Essen, trinken) sind etwas überteuert im Vergleich zu anderen Standorten in Neuseeland.

Tina B (8/5): A bit of a mixed bag. - Our deluxe cabin was great, really awesome site facilities, with nice clean bathrooms and the shop had most things you could need. The EV charger was a definite bonus - only one on site, but if you manage to secure it, it charged the car fully overnight. We booked a bunk room, and it wasn't very clear that it was a sharing room. When we arrived and discovered that our friend would be sharing with 3 other strangers, we were made to feel like we were stupid and told that this is a common practise all around the world. Never in my 54 years travelling all over the world (and NZ) have I come across this situation. However, reception were quick to offer us a mattress to put in our cabin to help the situation.

Jessica (9/5): - A cute cosy cabin, close to the beach. Pizza from the onsite restaurant was delicious, convenient parking. It was quite warm in the evening, though the fan cooked the room down overnight. A kettle/tea making facilities in the room would have been perfect but weren't expected as they weren't specified on our room type. Given the day time low tide doesn't tie with check in, free parking to stay until after the low tide to dig in the beach would have been nice, rather than having to move to the paid car park. We only stayed one night so this wouldn't have been an issue if we had stayed multiple
