Guest Reviews
- Daniel (10/5): - Transferred to boundary court motel. Very good thanks
- Karen (6/5): Very good for one night stay - Very good for one night stay. Handy to all amenities.
- Jo (2/5): Walked in and walked right back out - This place is awful. Room was so old and scabby. Stink of rotten BO armpits. It also has permanent housing NZ families living here. People sitting outside on plastic chairs smoking. Looks like a horrible old block of council flats. We have never walked out of a hotel before as we aren't fussy but didn't want my kids staying in a place that probably would test positive for meth.
- ERBLE (2/5): Not recommended for travellers - Price is too high for a hotel with rot in shower area and blankets not warm enough. Our booking check-in experience was very unpleasant. We had two consecutive bookings but owner insisted on payment up-front for second booking which was not due according to Expedia rules. After the owner spoke with Expedia who instructed him to do a pre-auth on credit card for the second booking, he refused to do so. He insisted on immediate payment, or for us to checkout at 10am and then re-checking at 2pm to the same room despite knowing how inconvenient it would be for us. The owner was totally unhelpful. He said that us checking out was according to procedure - we had no choice but to make payment or risk our luggage being removed from our room. The owner then asked if he would be able to not follow his service obligations to service our room daily - in the same breath that he was going to follow procedure and make us leave in-between two consecutive stays. Our stay was a very upsetting experience.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overpriced and rundown - Paid $295 for a 2 bedroom unit which has obviously never been updated since built. Holes in wall had been partially repaired but not repainted in bathroom. Very dingy. Presumably price hiked up to reflect Field Days and Chiefs v Wales game which was on in town at the time. Beds old and uncomfortable. Staff were pleasant but place very much in need of a spruce up. Only book it if you must and you get a good price. Was very happy was only there one night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Pretty Average - Whilst just one night and not too concerned with the facilities as checking in late and checking out early it is not really a great place to stay.
On arriving was informed as we had two cars that I would have to pay another $10. I stated that I would not pay this as the Motel was not full and it was not something I would accept - he changed his mind.
Room was clean but not one but three power plugs broken and taped over so no one could use them - so a conscious decision not to repair things by management ....... says it all
Room was nice and clean but my personal hate was the sign saying "Please ensure ALL plates and cutlery is cleaned and placed back in the cupboard". At $120 nearly a night I do not expect to clean my own plates, it is not a hostel !
- Verified traveler (6/5): Price decent, location mixed - Older property, mixed neighborhood. Hotel is located behind a tattoo parlor, dairy and closed service station. Priced reasonably.
- Traveler from U (6/5): One night stay in this hotel - It is clean and fair condition. The staff are good. However, the environment seems unsafe to us. At night, there was a drunk man pounding one of unit door. There was one of glass window was broken by somebody in another unit. We also heard of woman screaming. We were so scared and did not go out at night to go out eat. We did call a hotel staff. He told us that he called police right away after we told him.
He did mention the opposite building even have more glasses windows broken.
- Tony (8/5): Best location for claudelands concerts - Older motel very well presented , great hospitality.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Under the hand basin and the windowsills could have been cleaner, otherwise all good
- hvar (6/5): Great location - Basic accommodation but very clean comfortable beds
- asgar (10/5): - Facilities: Nice ; Value: Great deal; Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient close town - Hotel staff waited up for our late check in. This was great. Nice room comfortable. Had a good sleep.
- Veronica (10/5): Affordable, Great for families, Friendly staff. - Enjoyed our stay there and the owner was very friendly. They had everything we needed to cook our own meals, it was affordable and very close to the city. There is also a dairy/shop at the driveway entrance so whatever we needed for the children, we purchased from there. The 2 bedroom unit has 2 spacious bedrooms with an extra bed in the lounge area. It was clean, the windows had safety latches on them and lots of storage for clothes. Not a 5 star motel but will recommend for families that are on a budget but who are wanting to get away. Everything you need is there, bathroom, kitchen, beds and space for the kids to do their own thing.
- Jayshan (10/5): - Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Bargain; Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
- Deb (6/5): - Facilities: Tired; Value: Reasonable; Cleanliness: Grubby, Needed cleaning;
Dust balls were on the floor. Needed a thorough clean. Needed covers on bedding because guests could have sat on pillows meant for next guests.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Suited the purpose of my visit - Only stayed for one night which amounted to 16 hours.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location straight across the road from the Claudlands Event centre . Not a flash motel but clean and comfortable and good value for money
- Tracey (10/5): - Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Fantastic; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
Excellent, friendly hosts
