Guest Reviews
- Eugene (10/5): Great Location - Well located, comfortable, friendly hotel in Grenoble
- Robert (6/5): - Don’t do with a car. No place to pull in for check in. Narrow confusing streets. Parking NOT on site, but rather a block away. Interesting though quirky design. Nice staff. Very basic dinner menu. Location good for many things, with exceptions as noted.
- Anshu (10/5): - Very clean hotel and modern hotel. Parking is nearby but costed extra. Staff is very helpful and welcoming.
- Christophe (8/5): - Very good hotel, I would recommend. I didn't rated to the max (1 to 5 rating is not enough margin) because I'm not a fan of concrete finish, and you need to go through the Shower in order to access the sink and toilet, but the rest was perfect and staff at reception very friendly
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel with great shared spaces - Very sleek hotel in a hopping neighborhood with great shared spaces. Tools with the Mountain View are distinguishing
- Verified traveler (8/5): A pleasant stay in this hotel - Solo stay for 3 nights on holiday.
Some very good points - the breakfast room being available all day and night for free coffee in a very spacious, attractive room is a big positive. The staff are all very helpful and attentive. Location is good being 15 minutes from the heart of the city and with shops only yards away on Rue Hoche.
The negatives for me were the car parking being inconvenient in a multistorey facility across the road. The inconvenient door for the shower room/bathroom - having to step over the shower area to use the toilet ! The bare concrete wall in my room gave it a very unattractive look and feel. Also the safe didn't work even though the maintenance person changed the batteries on the day i arrived. The following day it failed again.
- Simon-Pierre (10/5): - Excellent hôtel, chambres plus grandes que visuellement sur les photos. Espace repos très bien pensé et confortable. Merci
- Shuying (8/5): - So nice.
- Rob (2/5): - The toilets are in a glass box inside the bedroom with a few louvre slats. You have to pass through a shower to reach the toilet/sink. You can use the toilet while maintaining eye contact with your friends in the main room. Even better, turning the light on in the toilet at night is like appearing on stage and floods the bed with light. This is a hotel for single people / designed by an idiot.
- Normand (10/5): - Just wonderful! The staff, the large room (not the basic), the hotel location, the club, the breakfast. No onsite parking, but there's public parking nearby (special rates via the hotel). Highly recommended.
- David (8/5): - Quiet room. Bed comfortable. Good brekfast. All in all a very good hotel fir the price i paid
- Nesrin (4/5): - We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. First couple nights were so cold and the heater was not working in the room. It was so cold in the room and we couldn't sleep becasue of cold, then the person who was trying to repair the heater brought us a space heater. We use it following nights.
The room was was spacious but very poorly designed. There were no cabinets or drawers. Half of the room was empty. We had to keep everything in our luggages and that was not easy.
The room was not properly cleaned, especially the floors were not properly vacuumed. There was left over dirt and trash on the floor from the previous guest, coke lids, hair, paper/napkin pieces. Those things were never cleaned up during our stay.
The most annoying part was ,although we paid extra for breakfast to be included everyday, on the day we were leaving at 7:30am for the train, the staff didn't let us to take a banana and cup of coffee along with us. I think that was the most bothering part of the overall stay.
- Edel (10/5): - Amazing place, impeccable, astonishing design, highly recommended if you go to this beautiful city.
- Julian (10/5): - Had planned to stay for one night but it was so pleasant I stayed for 5! Lovely relaxez atmosphere, nice clean room and a decent area that was near the centre but very calm. Highly recommended.
- Amalia (8/5): - Our staying was nice, friendly staff and good use of money. Thank you!🙏
- D (6/5): Style over substance...... - A very strange room design. You have to walk through the shower to use toilet or sink so unable to not tread in wet after a shower. Toilet is on view for rest of room especially for someone still in bed so no privacy. Room is very very small. Hard mattress. Could hear traffic all night and local skateboard park. Main reception area is large and friendly staff. Can help yourself to coffee etc. Parking is a short walk to public car park. It is ok for 1 night but anyone who has marked as 10/10 can't have stayed in anything other than a hostel before.
- Vadim (10/5): - Really nice staff, big and bright rooms and really comfortable beds!
- Lesley-Jane (10/5): - Beautiful boutique hotel the staff was so accommodating and friendly. The rooms are small but comfortable. I love the artistic design of the bathroom also. Get a higher floor and the views are magnificent. The only drawback was it’s proximity to the light rail.
- Angus (10/5): - Service, facilities and location was excellent. Easy walking to restaurants and sights. Parking was conviently located.
- Louie (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent stay! Stayed for 4 nights. The 24-hour lounge is a very nice amenity and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay here again when I'm in Grenoble. Merci beaucoup for making my stay comfortable and enjoyable!
- Lesley-Jane (10/5): - Staff was great. Free snacks. Clean room. Great stay
- leigh (6/5): - I learned after staying in Grenoble that it’s not a good city. I was harassed by numerous men to the point hotel staff had to intervene . I left this hotel because of its poor room design.( very poor lighting in bathroom, very bad drainage in the shower, broken coffee maker, bad electrical system.)
- Darko (10/5): Nice hotel in city center - Nice atmosphere in the Club/ breakfast/ dining place!
- SiewHong (8/5): Great Crisis Management & communication - 2nd time staying for business in Okko Grenoble. The service & friendliness is exceptional. Breakfast quality is real good.
The hotel encounter water supplies issues and they have to re-assign a neighboring hotel for me to pull through for 2 nights. and able to move back for the third night. The crisis management was excellent. Will return for sure.
- Simon (10/5): Great hotel - Very good. Felt like home.
- Michael (8/5): - Was an enjoyable stay. A choice of pillows would have made it better for our sleeping.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid, threatened by "guests" in hotel very scary - Very bad experience with unruly guests, I was threatened in the lift, when i advised the staff they said they were aware of issues with these people but why did they not throw them out or call the police. All night long I was disturbed by disorder outside and inside the hotel.
Also no "free" snacks in the lounge as advertised, only black coffee or tea plus soft drinks, not worth the extra money as the snacks I saw was a bowl of fruit / grapes and
Fittings in room were tatty, it needs a bit of TLC and staff training to deal with conflict and safety of guests.
The female receptionist who i complained to about the incident in the lift was very understanding and pleasant
I left in a hurry feeling frightened for my own safety, i have never ever felt that in a hotel before
- Nicolas (2/5): Very noisy, excessive street noise - Windows are below expectations, noise is going through.
Bathroom pipes are very noisy too, it is bad to wake up at 4:30am when the neighbor is having a shower.
- Kenneth Graham (8/5): A mix of good and need for updating - The hotel’s public lounge come dining room is lovely - comfortable, stylish and a place to have complimentary drinks and snacks. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room, however, needs updating as it has some very worn features. The bed was comfortable. My other concern is that I was charged by both the hotel and Hotels.com; I am hoping that this will get sorted quickly.
- Dominique (8/5): - Good lounge (the club) available to customers during their stay. Friendly staff. Nice location
- Rebecca (2/5): Do not stay there - not worth it. - Not sure how this hotel got such good reviews. Very bad experience. No parking in front of the hotel to unload the car, no one at the reception when we arrived, rooms are small and bathroom is pretty much in the room. Will never stay there again.
- Angela (8/5): Friendly hotel - Great location , clean rooms and very friendly staff. Forgot to look if it had coffee making facilities in the room and they didn't.
- David (10/5): - Cool hotel!
- Oren (10/5): Great hotel, highly recommended. - It was a pleasure staying there - I'd definitely return to stay there again as part of my business trips.
- Balazs (10/5): Great hotel in Grenoble - Really cool looking modern hotel with a very comfortable bed and a coffee maker. I love the Club concept of Okko Hotels, you always find some snacks free at the Club, and at the evening you get a free drink with tapas
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms were small but that is part of the unique ness. The compimentary food and drink through the day was definately a bonus.
- Aleksandra (10/5): Absolutely amazing! - This hotel went above our expectations. Not only was it very clean, the entire staff was super friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast, that’s included in the price, is okay but they give you a complimentary glass of wine every night and there’s a beautiful evening spread as well. One downfall is the shower. It’s a very strange bathroom layout with the shower first and the toilet next to it. After showering there would be water everywhere. That is my only complaint honestly. I loved our stay here and will definitely be coming back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy to find, location is ok.
Rooms are in the Okko style, very modern, you like or you don't, but it is very comfortable.
It is a larger Okko, with lots of rooms, not sure I like the fact that the front office is not located on the main floor, security wise.
- Ruth (8/5): A gem in Grenoble - Good location, friendly staff. Club lounge with snacks and drinks very welcome. Nice selection at breakfast. Only one negative - very scratchy, wrinkled bed linen. If I returned would bring my own sheets.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the “club”and the free in-room movies. The staff was very helpful. The only thing I did not like was that I was told parking, which is across the street, was included at check in. Then, I was billed 15 plus euros per night at check out.
- Kyle (10/5): Free happy hour for the win! - Loved this hotel! Free apps and drinks in an adorable lounge. Cute room. Very friendly staff. Easy walking access to downtown.
- Sandy (6/5): - Breakfast and evening snack were great and staff was friendly and accommodating. There was no mini fridge in the room, and no ice available in the entire hotel. That complicates matters when you have purchased food for lunch as well as drinks, which taste much better when they are chilled!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - While the guestrooms are small in size, they are very well designed, airy, and clean. The common facilities are very nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Served excellent breakfast and continued variety of daily snacks throughout the days.
- CATHY (8/5): Pluses and Minuses - Good basic accommodation.
Bathroom layout is crazy. You have to walk across the wet shower floor to use the sink and toilet. Needs to be revamped.
Breakfast and evening light lunch was great.
Parking to check in (very limited street space) and then moving down the street is inconvenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service and the staff was very helpful. Great location!
- Steve (8/5): Work Trip - Uneventful work trip to Grenoble. Hotel was conveniently located. Has a nice lounge. Average breakfast. Beautiful surroundings, but can't comment as to the location as it was work and sleep only.
- DR C R (10/5): Unique for service, comfort and food - I chose Okko hotels based on Fodor’s Grenoble.
It proved an excellent choice. The team work hard to make one’s stay comfortable and they are successful. A staff member went around in the evening offering welcome drinks. This Okko is laying new standards in hospitality.
- zane (6/5): Not bad for one night not longer - First impression was great, girl at the reception was lovely however room was disappointing. Small, everything was covered in dust and that shower...
The first night we were going to sleep we found out there is type of moskitos under the duvet. and my mother was fighting with them all night long until we got to change the room. Horrific really. We stayed 3 nights but couldnt use shower as water was running into room. Modern but not clever at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel - Will definitely be back!! - Excellent stay. Would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, great cleanness, marvelous breakfast (very nice ad selected products).
the only two remarks: in the toilet if you do the shower all the toilet will be wet, included WC, so remember to bring slippers with you if you dont want to get your socks wet!
And bed linen too hot and pillow too soft for my personal taste
- Aida (8/5): - We love the location. The room was nice but the bathroom location inside the room was a surprise to me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good breakfast and snacks. Friendly stuff, ready to help and guide.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Centrally located but very quiet. Friendly accommodating staff
- carl (8/5): Curate’s Egg - Good in Parts - Staff very helpful and polite . But accommodation room was not ideal — very cramped , with TV not functioning ( I only stayed a single night , & was working on emails etc - so TV was only in background - but should function - as only single night , not worth my bother reporting it and getting it fixed ).. style of bathroom area - a little too bizarre for my liking ( looked “different” on hotel photos , when booking - but very “odd” and dominating the small accommodation , in “real-life”). No real ding area or bar - just a reception lounge which doubled up as breakfast room —( however , the complementary snack food & free 1st drink in the evening , is a great touch ).. all in all , ok - but not 100% to my liking
- teji (8/5): Beautifully, unique hotel right in downtown! - The room was beautiful and so clean. I absolutely loved the design and the free welcome drinks as well! I was very pleased with the shower and overall experience...I especially loved that they really cared about the environment and only had bathroom amenities as needed. I will certainly be recommending this hotel to others!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Central hotel with compact rooms ideal for exploring
- LINDA (10/5): Nice modern Hotel - Very good hotel, service was good ( apart from only having one large towel, asking for another one and then taking this away again, it is not easy to use tiny towel and large one when washing long hair). staff friendly and helpful. aircon not very effective so room was hot and setup in bathroom was a bit strange having to walk through the shower to get to the loo. handy as fairly central and public car park opposite. Being able to help yourself to snacks and refreshments in the evening was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel with all the required amenities and none of the extras we didn't need.
Great all inclusive rate and excellent staff.
- Aidan (10/5): Expand the chain - Have stayed here umpteen times and it’s just a pity there aren’t more around Europe. For a business travelled its ideal especially the buffet served in the club room in the evening. There’s a fridge full of juices and carbonated drinks, tea and coffee, 24 hour snacks and of course the 19:00 buffet which is very tasty. I can sit and relax, enjoy some food and drink and send off a few e-mails . Not having to wander outside looking for a restaurant and having to attend to e- mails in my room afterwards is a bonus.
- Myron (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Rooms are in the small side but very modern. Superb breakfast and evening happy hour and wonderful all day room to work and sip coffee. Very modern and enjoyable. 15 to 20 minute walk from train station. In quiet area
- MARK (8/5): Refreshments and snacks an unexpected bonus - The hotel is convenient for the city centre and has well appointed friendly staff.
The hotel extras such as the snacks and refreshments are a real bonus. Nice terrace overlooking a park.
- Al (8/5): Great Facilities for Business, Strange Bathroom - The hotel location was great, comfortable rooms, close to shopping and many restaurants. Staff was always helpful with any needs. Bathroom was strange though. Shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom and makes the entire floor wet making it impossible not to track water everywhere after shower.
- Chu (10/5): Experience the room - Well designed modern hotel and very interesting room. Awsome free breakfast (delicious baguette)with welcome snack and drink! Best boutique hotel in Grenoble, I think!
- David (10/5): Perfect location, quirky hotel concept. - Great hotel, interesting concept of a clubroom where you get what you need rather than room service. Set-up much like a "We-Work" environment. Not a huge fan of the shower-gel scent, but that's just a preference. Daily water in rooms and nespresso machine is great. Gym is high quality.
- Vicki (10/5): A great hotel experience. - Totally differert to any other hotel I have experienced. From the building design, to the speed of check in and the whole atmosphere was very calming and tranquil. The room design was different but again, peaceful and everything oozed quality and thought behind it.
The breakfast area and public spaces where beautifully designed and a place you wanted to spend time in.
The quality of the food and drinks was excellent.
The bed linen was beautiful and different.
This hotel was different in that breakfast times were much more flexible as was checking out, being 2 pm if you wished. Marvelous.
You could also help yourself to tea and coffee and soft drinks and snacks throughout the day if you wished.
You were also invited to a welcome drink and nibbles between 6 pm and 9pm which I am sure would have been delicous as well.
I wished that time allowed us to have been able to spend another night or two there and I do not say that very often.
I will certainly be looking out for this chain of hotels for all future bookings.
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. You have to experience it to appreciate it.
- Franz (10/5): - Overall, the stay was very good. Good service, very friendly staff, amazing apero for free. Romm was rather small for two persons but spacious enough for one night.
- Alain (10/5): Great experience - The design of the room and the design of the Club...great concept. So much better than classic hotels.
- ita (10/5): - lovely experience great location loved the decor
- Alexandra (8/5): - Amazing hotel, only negative was that the air con didn’t work so the room got extremely stuffy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central, modern hotel with great service - The location of the hotel is excellent, with both the city center and the tram system easily accessible. The complementary breakfast and evening light meal service are definitely the highlights of the hotel. The community area where this was available was comfortable, and the food ample and of high quality. A person could easily get by without having to go out for meals other than lunch. The servers were also very accommodating. I checked in about 10 minutes after their evening service and they offered to make me a plate from the food they had just taken into the back.
The only problem with the hotel is in the layout of the room and some of the finishes. The room is very modern and open. This is nice, but the 'edgy' design has a couple of defects. The bathroom is a raised platform with a completely flat floor that does nothing to limit water from the shower from flowing everywhere. I had to use several towels to keep it from flooding the sink & toilet areas, and I kept checking to make sure it wasn't flowing out the front onto the room floor. This is an annoyance now, but after several years I can imagine it causing damage to other fixtures. Other than that, there were a couple of damaged items, like towel hooks, that don't bode well for the durability of the fixtures over time.
Overall, I recommend the hotel, especially for the service and the food, but make sure to check the reviews to see if the condition of the rooms deteriorates.
- Hannah (10/5): Stay here! - Really fantastic hotel. 'The Club' in particular was a really fabulous space to relax in and to enjoy all of the free food and drink. No need to go out for dinner really!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great design. Nice concept - Stayed overnight with my 4 year old. Great clean design with all you need available complimentary. No restaurant so if you need anything more than light snacking you have to head out. This means attention to detail can be focused elsewhere. And it focused it was. Will definitely find Okko elsewhere and stay again.
- Yvette (10/5): Wonderful - Wonderful stay! Great value and very nice accommodation. Would stay again.
- Ivan (10/5): Great boutique hotel! - Really beaten my expectations! Great little design hotel where every guest feels like a VIP
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel and great location. Breakfast can be improve but overall it is a nice hotel.
- Freq Traveler (8/5): Stylish hotel in nice area (for adults) - Stayed a night during a biz trip.
-Welcoming staff and easy check-in process were nice.
-Has a nice lounge area (I did not spend time there, but designer sofa and tables, very spacious for socializing occasions.)
-Room is small, but funky design and good cleanliness make it up to it. (Large suitcase and lots of clothing can be tough to all fit.)
-Location; Many bars and restaurants around, and mostly younger (college kids to young pros) crowds were around the hotel. If you walk little further to North East (about 15mins), there were fantastic restaurants with older crowd (food/wines; amazing). Yelp was pretty useful.
-Close to Grenoble station, about 10 mins (12 Euro) Uber ride for us before hoping on the TGV for Paris.
-Overall, a good hotel in style, and would recommend to biz and leisure travelers (mostly adults).
- Oded (10/5): Best hotel. - One of the best hotels ever!
- Malc (10/5): Top quality experience at a bargain price - A lovely hotel with modern design, welcoming staff and an outstanding offer with its free snacks and aperitif as well as breakfast. First class.
- Yichun (10/5): Will come back to stay again - Room is small and the design of the bathroom is a bit wierd, so the floor is always wet, besides, it's perfect!
Lovely staff, all you can drink bar, perfect location, reasonable price.
Will stay again when I am back to Grenoble.
- Andrew (10/5): Great hotel in a cool area of Grneoble. - OKKO Grenoble was a great hotel to stay in for a couple of nights. Although the room we stayed in was quite compact, the design was really cool, it was quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were very professional and welcoming.
The hotel rate included a complimentary breakfast and an apéritif/snack in the evening. This is a great concept and something which we appreciated.
The area the hotel is found in is cool - there are nice bars nearby and it isn't far to walk into the centre of Grenoble.
Overall, a really nice experience.
- Maho (10/5): Nice hotel just opposite la caserne do bonne mall - Great clean hotel with dynamic young staff
Chose hight floor rooms with view on park
Club opens 24/24 with free snacks and water and soft drinks and fresh juices
Calm and safe area
I got the best prices via expedia
- ALEXANDER (10/5): Modern comfortable hotel - Good location only ten minutes walk from the old town. The hotel staff are friendly and the Club lounge is a really nice feature. The location is accessible by car without getting lost in Grenoble's one way system. I would happy use this hotel again in the future.
- sc (10/5): Very practical and clean - As northamericain, we were surprised by the size of the room as we are so used to large spaces. This hotel provides you with small room but very well organized. The rest however is what make your stay an enjoyable one. Very clean with lots of convenient free services like access to computer, printer, beverages, breakfast, snaks or cocktail in the lounge area.
- Andrew (10/5): - The new concept of the 'all inclusive' and common lounge / food area is awesome! First hotel where we've actually wanted to sit in the common area and read a book / engage with other travellers rather than going outside!
- j (8/5): Some weird stuff but good overall - Strong smell of a drain in the room. at least we were able to open the windows and sleep with earplugs. A lot of traffic noise but not noisy with the window closed. Weird bathroom set up as everyone has commented. Poor drainage probably cause of smell. Club room was nice except when we bought lunch at the bakery and the manager told us it was not in the concept of the hotel for us to sit and eat in that room. I thought it was unnecessary to reprimand guests who stayed an entire week. Good location to walk to old town center. Nice view of Bastille from 5th floor
- Sanjeev (10/5): - Grenoble is a small city having few hundred thousand people and usually hotel properties are not so majestic. Okko is nice concept hotel and offers beautiful rooms. Hotel staffs are very courteous. The best part of hotel is the socialising area "The Club". Rooms are tastefully designed. The unique design on the partitioning wall looks interesting and always creates a doubt if some one is peeking from room (Honestly the view is limited from the room to washroom, until someone is naughty). Overall stay was very good 5/5.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good hotel, simple and very effective. More business class but worked for our short stay.
Stay were excellent and very welcoming.
- Penelope (10/5): excellent helpful staff, very accommodating. - Would recommend this hotel. Convenient for the centre of town. No external noise. Helpful, friendly staff.
- Agnes (4/5): - This is basically a two star hotel with an esthetic lifting. The rooms are very small and clearly not in the four star range. The breakfast was minimalist. There is free access to drinks (cold and warm) in the main eating place - part of the hotel "concept." This was welcome and it does make for a nice moment. But it cannot make for the many limits of the hotel. There is NO parking facility. The only parking is a public parking near-by (15 Euros for the night). The hotel receptionist sold us a ticket to pay for the parking (2 euros less than the actual cost). Except that when we got to the Parking, their ticket did not work and we had to pay a second time. To get reimbursed, I was told I needed to write to the Hotel Management office with two documents (the ticket they sold and the receipt for the second ticket). I will not recommend the hotel. It is not good value for money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Superb accommodation all round - We arrived at the hotel after an overnight flight followed by a four hour drive. It was great to be able to grab a quick snack and then have a rest for a few hours. The hot and cold finger foods and the glass of wine were just the right dinner for us, and after an evening walk, we settled in for a badly needed sleep. The buffet breakfast the next morning was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody.
- Andrea (10/5): Perfect Stay - An overnight stop on the way to Italy, we were unfamiliar with OKKO hotels but very impressed with the Jardin Hoche. Beautiful decor, including a lovely outdoor terrace, great food and welcome glass of wine. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Great room. Highly recommended, will definitely check out their other hotels. Thank you for a perfect stay.

- Phillip (8/5): Great hotel, a little inconsistent in its ethics. - Great hotel, extremely helpful staff. Very relaxed and enjoyable. I really appreciated the snacks and drinks which are so great when travelling.
My one dislike is the "adult" movies available. I am really not comfortable supporting a hotel that helps support and perpetual an industry that exploits women and girls so terribly and contributes so much to the breakdown of marriages and families. To have a truly sustainable image this hotel should help to protect women and girls, along with the families of the men who stay, as well as the environment. I'm sure if a product used I your hotels was linked to the trapping and drugging of animals for the pleasure of others you would boycott it in an instance.
