Guest Reviews
- Jagadeesh (1/5): Bad -
- Jp (5/5): Only reasone to make us happy was the close proximity to beach - Close proximity to beach. Poor House keeping. Insects inside toilets and rooms. Furniture are in pathetic condition. No one there on reception to pick up call after 10.00pm.
- Anwesha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tore (4/5): Almost at the beach, but stay away! - Almost at the beach. the buildings were dillapidated.
- Martin (1/5): Not pleasant and charged £ 26 not worth £5 a night! - Nothing apart from Close to beach The photos must be when it opened in 1986 as it now looks derelict from outside & not much better inside
Rats everywhere sat on balcony amongst mould & debris & watched them scurrying in & out of drains & roofspaces of rooms
- Vishakha (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nepal (2/5): Very poor -
- Pam (7/5): Visit to Old haunt of 2018. ! - Been here before they have started doing it up a bit. It needs a lot doing to it. Staff are helpful and friendly.Bed was comfortable room staff helpful and wanted to help. Food & drinks service re kitchen excellent 👌 Needs new windows and room needed decorating walls were dirty & where old fittings were just left as they were. Could do with lick of paint. Otherwise it's all OK. Shame buildings need some repair work though. We have enjoyed our 2nd stay with Colva Residency.thank you.
- F (5/5): Passable -
- Amit (9/5): Superb - The location was excellent just by the side of colva beach. The beach is visible from room and ambience is too good. The route to the brach is only 100 m and through the coconut tree garden. The view is excellent. The hotel is old and need some renovation.
- Komal (5/5): Fair - Breakfast not available Breakfast included and clean required.
- Psa (5/5): Passable -
- Lahiri (1/5): Bad - Nothing apart from sea view Staff behaviour. Facilities and many stuffs. It was a horrible experience staying there.
- Lahiri (1/5): Bad - Nothing and horrible experience. I urge Goa government to close the property or at least change the staff. These type of staffs and facilities are the reasons for government making them private. 1. Behaviour of staff
2. No power back up and no support from staff
3. Fridge was rusty and not able to use
Very poor and disappointing service from the staff.
When electricity was gone, we waited almost 2 hrs and then called in reception from our cell to check why there is no power back started and then they confirmed us that they were waiting for electricity to resume. Wow what a reason. Just enjoying government facilities and making money. We even see to surprise that a private restaurant is running inside the property and these guys are literally begging in front of them. I strongly recommend all of the visitors DO NOT OPT FOR THIS PROPERTY. It is WORTHLESS.
- Nilesh (3/5): Looks like a old guest house, stinky, very bad property - Good location The property is very old and not at all maintained. Water leakage marks are all over the walls. The furniture is old and squeaky. The property is not at all maintained. Very poor a d bad ambience.
The restaurant does not have Airconditioning. Very small rooms.

- Abhijeet (8/5): Very good -
- Kamal (9/5): Overall had a great experience - NA NA
- Aileen (10/5): Exceptional - I love that a clothes drying rack was provided. And also the size of the bathroom! Please add a soap dish near the wash basin and a toilet paper holder near the commode.
- Harald (1/5): Beware of the bedbugs!! - Lots of bites from bedbugs made the stay horrible
- Anol (8/5): Very good - Location, food and simple decor of the property. Maintenance is less , property and rooms should be better maintained, given the room price and as it is a govt property.
- Arnab (8/5): Very good -
- Uloganathan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Uday (7/5): Good - Location was very good but no breakfast facilities Tea & breakfast facilities in morning
- Debasis (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent ❤️ Too good 👍
- Vinodh (5/5): Passable - Proximity to the beach Old property, not maintained at all. The building we stayed was crumbling.
Since it's run by the government agencies, the staff don't care about the guests or their comforts.
- Ashish (6/5): Pleasant - Washrooms /rooms were clean There was no explicit mentioned that room was non ac
- Indra (5/5): Passable - No AC in the rooms , rooms were dirty , no WI-FI and it’s absolutely not worthy money payed for
- Manoj (4/5): Disappointing - Only location Old building no maintenance, no restaurant in the hotel .
- Rangaraj (7/5): Good -
- Balakrishnan (10/5): Superb stay - Location is best. Restaurant should be started immediately. More door mats should be provided to keep the rooms free of sand. Check in and check out should be made 24 hours

- Mr.rangaraj (5/5): Passable -
- Mr.rangaraj (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kumar (8/5): Very good - Location and room Looks of the building.
- Honza (4/5): once certainly a nice hotel but today very neglected - Location if there's no air conditioning, why are there no screens in the windows. I couldn't ventilate because there were so many mosquitoes everywhere.
- Perumal (8/5): Very good - Location was convenient Staffs support
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- Amit (3/5): Poor -
- Abhijit (9/5): Superb - I liked It's position and staff behaviour. They are very cooperative. And the location is the best.
- Prakash (3/5): Poor - Nowadays generally rooms stay included breakfast which is not provided even for morning tea we had to go out to restaurant though cattle was provided but coffee and milk sachets were not .
- Gokul (8/5): Great beachside stay compared to flimsy shacks - Location is great. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. Helped me with checkin in early morning at 4:30 am. No wifi , couldn't get the beach facing room, since those rooms are onlly available in their website with 1000 rupees more added. Also the residency should be maintained more. Looks a bit old.
- Singh (6/5): Location excellent but bad maintenance & service - Location & tariff In room no tea kettle, shampoo etc. no restaurant ,poor service, poor maintenance
- Shankar (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (7/5): Rooms and location is nice. amenities can be improved. - location is fantastic. Room and bathroom is spacious. Check-In and Check-Out is 24*7. There are some molds and color damage in non-ac rooms.
Restaurant (49ers) in this hotel is pathetic. It is unjustifiably costly compared to other nearby restaurants.
- Richard (5/5): Passable - The location is great. Near the beach and close access to all restaurants. The in-house restaurant does not have much of an option. Though room service was available, not much to call for. If you called for tea, then you had to order a snack with it. That's what you were told by the person handling room service. Then on 1st January we were told that the restaurant is closed indefinitely.
Booking.com did not give the room option of front facing or rear. And though we had booked a deluxe room in May for Dec, we were given a room way behind at the back without a balcony. The whole place could do with a little maintenance, especially the gardens and the surroundings.
- Sachin (5/5): Passable -
- Siddhartha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naxi (7/5): Great Location. - Location. Maintenance.
- Sajeevan (9/5): Good - Beach nearby Food to my expectation
- Anand (9/5): Superb -
- Sunny (1/5): Bad -
- Siddharth (3/5): Poor - Near to colva beach.. in fact at the colva beach. Over priced. I did not like the room at all as per the price. Its close to beach so what.. who will take care of maintenance. Too many mosquitos in the room. And good night was a big fail considering number of mosquitos. It's damn too costly.. book a property which is not at the beach but atleast better than this property.
- Shubham (9/5): Superb -
- Prasad (8/5): Very good -
- Sushant (5/5): Passable -
- Rajesh (6/5): Pleasant -
- Adityasen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pradeep (5/5): Passable -
- Helen (8/5): A vacation by the sea - The hotel is facing the sea. There are many restaurants walkable distance for all meals reasonably priced. Colva Residency is good for families on shoe string budgets The bathroom taps need fixing
- Avisek (2/5): Very poor -
- Pillai (1/5): No value for money - Nothing at all.. The rooma shouldn't be even in this website
No value for money
- Prajakta (1/5): Bad - The maintenance of facility is not good..all doors and windows were not getting closed.rooms were not good and the facilities are not good.plaxe looked haunted
- Subramanian (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall Average rating. - Windows not opening.
Water issue daily in morning
Phone not working
Power outage issue
- Verified traveler (8/5): Really it is on the beach. - Nearest to Colva beach .....sea viewing from balcony really enjoyable
- peder (4/5): Lite besviken - Bra läge & nära till allt . Dålig service & hoppade över städning. Hotellet behöver en rejäl upplyftning
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rock hard, filthy beds - Rock hard bed- no mattress, just a board with a pad on it. I regretted looking under the sheet as there was hair and blood stains all over. The owners make good money with their rates and never have reinvested in anything...old, filthy rooms- what a lousy subhuman attitude to have as hotel owners. The reception staff were friendly enough, it's not their fault.
- Sundeep (8/5): Nice hotel as it is close to beach - It is a vry good experience of me.this hotel is close to the sea..n a vry nce view from the top rooms.specially the rooms abv the rceptn.but the room service is not available.
- stephane (6/5): Médiocre - Pas de wifi, beaucoup trop de formalités, lits beaucoup trop dur, douche défaillante. Bon emplacemen sur la plage. restaurant de l'hotel à éviter.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very good hotel for famil right on the beach - It was an amazing experience staying at Colva Residency in a beach facing room. We had a wonderful time there.
- Raj (10/5): Well appointed rooms. Excellent location. - Stayed for two nights. Check in was smooth. Service is average. However, rooms are well furnished and nicely decorated. Most of the rooms have sea view which is a plus point. Location is definitely excellent. Right on the most happening point of the beach, you have access to all the goodies including the food and ice cream!
- JR (8/5): Nice place on the beach - Value for money, budget hotel, decent and reasonably priced
- HIMANSHU (6/5): Typical Govt hotel - Our first interaction with reception counter/Manager was very disappointing. He was very rude while talking to us, as if he is obliging us by allocating the room. He said sorry later, but with same attitude. Name of person was Mr. Vivek. I dont think I will stay in this hotel again. We requested for cleaning of room, no one turned up for the same. Food was available at good price and location was very near to beach, other than that no plus point.
- Yogesh (8/5): Stay in Oct 14 - Had a wonderful experience of staying at this place. We went with family recently in Oct 14. Was expecting a below average to extremely poor stay arrangements. Was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms in a very good clean condition. The linen off course was not really up to the mark but was changed immediately when requested. The room cleaning was good. Restaurant facility, ummm...., better if you just go out walking and use the nearby restaurants. Location is superb. Bang on the beach. Just walk around 100 steps and you are on the beach. The rooms have beach view. We had non AC double occupancy rooms with balcony. Had a fantastic beach view.
