- Marie Helene (6/5): - There was extensive roadwork outside the hotel that went on until 7 pm and resumed at 4 am. The room should have been reduced accordingly. Further, there was an overpowering smell of scented spray that kept being reapplied everywhere on the hotel. I was able to air out the room but had to roll up a towel to keep it from entering from under the door. Otherwise, it's a nice place with a river view.

- Simon (6/5): Convenient but nothing special - The hotel is very convenient for the railway station, but that also means on-street parking and hotel access raises security concerns, eg you have to pay on arrival not departure, among other things. Breakfast very average. Adequate for one or two nights only

- CLAIRE (4/5): Je ne reviendrai pas - 1e chambre sans chauffage (chambre triple, salle de bain rénovée conforme à la réservation) mais il y faisait 15 °C car chauffage en panne. On nous donne une 2e chambre double beaucoup plus petite (à peine la place de mettre le lit parapluie pour notre fils), moquette et lit parapluie tachés, salle de bain plus que vieillissante (faïence jaunie, idem rideau de douche, décoration année 60-70...), mais là nous avions du chauffage. Par contre, la patronne a demandé à ce que nous payons le prix de la chambre triple (alors que nous ne demandions que le prix affiché de la chambre double soit une réduction de 10 € par rapport au prix payé). Petit dej sommaire pris dans une mini salle de séminaire en sous sol sans fenêtre (alors que la salle de restauration semblait agréable), je n'avais pas la place de reculer ma chaise et je n'étais pas la seule. Nos voisins de table s'y sont repris à 3 fois pour avoir du lait, jusqu'à devoir attendre à l'accueil… Bref nous ne reviendrons pas.
- Robert (8/5): - I don't speak French other than Hello and Thanks. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke various degrees of English. We made it work. The hotel room is small, but anyone doing regular travels in Europe is used to this. Oddity about my room is the positioning of the toilet. I had to sit sideways to use it. Very nice room other than that. Cleaned daily. We only had the breakfast there once. It was ok. We chose to hit the grocery store and bakeries after that for croissants, Nutella, jam, salami etc.. There are only 5 spots off street for hotel guest use. If you're not in one of those then you have to park in a pay spot and use a street side kiosk. I was only able to use "hotel" parking two nights. The hotel is situated very near the older part of town and we easily walked there numerous times. I really liked the town and the hotel. I would very readily recommend both.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Kurzaufenthalt in Compiegne - Hotel direkt neben Bahnhof. Deswegen auch keine kostenlosen Parkplätze. Innenstadt problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen (oder gratis Busse nutzen). Leckeres Frühstück.

- joana (6/5): Clean and good location - Good hotel without any superflu. It was clean. Very easy, between the train station and downtown. And the staff very helpful.
- Joke (4/5): Stank en tegenvallend ontbijt - Bij aankomst in het hotel roken we al een nare geur. Alsof er bloemkool was gekookt. Eenmaal op de kamer was het zo erg dat ik het haast niet te harden vond. Mijn partner had er minder last van dan ik. Achteraf had ik er spijt van dat ik niet om een andere kamer heb gevraagd. De extra kussens in de kast hadden geen schone sloop. Ik ben schone slopen gaan halen bij de receptie. De receptioniste die mij 's avonds hielp (en die trouwens heel aardig was) had ons gezegd dat het ontbijt € 8 pp was. De receptioniste die ons de andere ochtend hielp (ook best aardig) zei dat het € 11 was. Afgezien daarvan kun je beter langs de snelweg gaan ontbijten want dit stelde niet veel voor. Zelfs voor € 8 niet. We konden de auto binnen parkeren, kosten € 10 maar het hek kon niet op slot. Iedereen kon hierdoor het terrein op. We hebben de auto dus maar buiten geparkeerd. Nogmaals, de receptionistes waren aardig, de kamer op zich was ook prima, badkamer ok, wc moest je dwars op gaan zitten, maar verder alles wel ok. Maar de stank was echt niet te harden, zelfs niet met het raam open. Met vriendelijke groet, Joke van Eersel
- Isabelle (4/5): - L'hôtel doit ses étoiles au restaurant (école de cuisine française) et le personnel est aimable mais les chambres sont vieillottes, bruyantes et très exiguës. On ne pouvait pas ouvrir la penderie, bloquée par une table de nuit impossible à déplacer et il y avait partout une odeur d'égout plutôt déplaisante.
- Stefano (8/5): Nice hotel, excellent restaurant - The hotel does not look very nice from outside and the reception is very small, but the rooms are comfortable, renovated and clean. Rooms with view on the front are a little bit noisy because of a bus station right beside the hotel. The breakfast is correct even if you do not have a big salty offer. The restaurant is very good. I globally recommend this accommodation.
- Guido (10/5): Compiegne et l'hotel du Nord: à découvrir! - Revenant de l'aéroport De Gaulle, désireux de découvrir Compiegne, l'hotel du Nord était le stop à faire. Accueil chaleureux, chambre très agréable, grande douche. Découverte d'une jolie ville. Le soir un souper à l'hotel: une cuisine délicieuse, un personel très aimable et dans un joli cadre. Une petite terrasse à l'extérieur pour terminer son repas avec une cigarette et un pousse café aurait été divin ce qui n'empêche que nous avons joui d'un très beau séjour.
- Lars (6/5): Value for money? - Nej - Med en pris på dobbelsværelse på €97 samt to gange €12 for morgenmad, var der ikke sammenhæng mellem pris og forventning. Forventningen var baseret på 3 ugers forudgående ophold på hoteller i Frankrig og Spanien. Toilet var placeret så tæt på væg, at man kunne udnytte det ved at sidde på skrå af toilettet. Dør i bruseafsnit var så smal, at man med normal skulderbredde måtte gå sidelæns ind i badet. Morgenmad meget enkel.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location to visit the centrevile. - The room is big enough for two and bathroom is very clean. The rooms are renovated according to the staff and overall it's quite well maintained and clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and comfortable, but a bit pricey. - Our stay at Hotel Nord was fine. It's best attribute is proximity to the train station. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure. The wifi was overly complicated and didn't work well, and our room was right above a kebab shop, so we had to hear them slam their gate closed at 11. All in all it met our needs, albeit for a higher price than we hoped to spend.

One room was quiet, the other faced a noisy station with night time street people shouting till early hours. Bathroom in one of the rooms was not good - see pictures. Reception didnt have our booking either, 20 minutes of waiting trying to sort it out.
- Myriam (6/5): Prima overnachting in een basic hotel - Ik heb hier een nacht overnacht met mijn dochter, op de terugweg van onze vakantie zuidelijker in Frankrijk. We konden last minute terecht. Het hotel heeft een prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en de kamer was schoon en netjes. Wel ziet alles er wat gedateerd en oud uit. Een nadeel vond ik de onprettige sfeer in de nabije omgeving. Het hotel ligt naast een treinstation. Toen wij daar 's avonds aankwamen hingen er allerlei ongure types rond. Ik wilde mijn auto er niet laten staan en kon desgevraagd gelukkig gratis op de private parking terecht (achter een hek). Er is wel gratis wifi in het hotel maar die valt voortdurend uit. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig maar oké. Het personeel was vriendelijk en sprak een beetje Engels.
- Roger (6/5): Not bad for the price. - For the money, it's not bad. It is near the train station and there were some interesting/sketchy folks hanging around at night. Rooms are small but clean. It's walking distance to the main area of town. Parking is an extra 10 bucks, and it's a bit of a hassle to get in/out of the parking area. Also, keep in mind the front desk is not manned 24 hours per day, so if you have an early flight and need to leave before 7AM, make arrangements with the front desk beforehand.

- Hanne Marte (6/5): Helt ok for noen netter - Helt ok hotellopphold. Bedre enn andre hotell vi har bodd på I Frankrike tidligere. Da vi kom hadde imidlertid hotellet ingen reservasjon på oss, selv om vi hadde bookingnummer fra hotels.com. Heldigvis hadde de ledig rom så vi fikk bo der likevel. Helt fin avstand til byen og rett ved togstasjonen. Litt møkkete på badet med insekter og mugglukt i dusjen.
- Jean Paul (6/5): Bien mais peu mieux faire - Chambre propre et aménagée avec goût, dommage que la vue de la petite fenêtre donne dur des garages et pas sur l'Oise qui passe devant l'hôtel. Très bon accueil et petit déjeuner correct. Reste à améliorer l'insonorisation de la chambre avec le couloir et à changer la glace cassée dans la salle d'eau. Enfin un séchoir à cheveux dans un hôtel 3 étoiles serait apprécié
- manon (8/5): Bien pour escale - Chambre confortable, salle de bain vieillotte, bon petit déjeuner avec sucré salé. Chambre très mal isolée, bruit d'eau et de pas. Quartier pratique pour sa proximité de la gare mais un peu mal fréquenté.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Très bien pour une court séjour de qualité - 2 nuits pour un week-end découverte du compiégnois. très bon logis en général. C'est un hôtel rénové. Sa table gastronomique est à la fois une qualité et un défaut. pour une restauration plus simple au quotidien, il faut sortir (ce qui ne pose aucun problème, beaucoup de bonnes tables à quelques minutes à pieds) très appréciable : le petit déjeuner servi à table, à la française. Chambre confortable et propre, manquant un peu d'espace et de rangements. Le parking privé sécurisé très appréciable (box fermé). Défaut majeur, vu le bruit extérieur (circulation urbaine autour de la gare) : la très mauvaise isolation phonique des fenêtres (pourtant récentes, double vitrage).
