Relaxed pool area, bar service friendly and food from bar during day is very high standard. The rooms are spacious and clean with cleaners coming in each day to refresh towels and make sure room is clean. We enjoyed our week in the algarve and hope to return again.

A side sea view with spacious balcony also has views of the river and marina on other side. Breakfast caters for most and sets you up for the day. Really enjoyable stay and relaxed atmosphere. Would stay again if visiting Prai da Rocha. The local restaurants were not great so would recommend doing some research beforehand. I didn’t have dinner in the hotel so could not comment. Maybe I should have.

The rooms were very clean and comfy great view of the sea from balcony, we had a side room which was great, breakfast was good and food was hot. You could always get a sun lounger even though it is a small pool/area. Would definitely return here.

• C19874444 (10/5): Wonderful experience - Our second time here. I am not easily pleased with hotels but this place is phenomenal. The staff are all excellent, friendly and super helpful. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious. Pool is fabulous. Could have been a little warmer but so clean. Location is unbelievable, literally across the road from the beach! Lots of shops, bars and restaurants just feet away. This place is the real deal, and you won't regret it.

The hotel is sited well opposite the beach and has spacious reception and guest areas alongside the pool. The room had a large comfortable bed and powerful shower. The variety and quality of food at breakfast and evening meal is outstanding along with attentive and caring service. Other tourist areas are easy to reach either by local bus or taxi. It’s a steep or stepped walk down to the beach where there is an expanse of sand and several cafes. Worth a stroll along the boardwalk to the marina where boat trips and a river taxi can be found.

The rooms are clean and beds comfy they are cleaned daily and the tea & coffee and mini bar are topped up too. The location is brilliant for the beach, marina and strip plenty of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. If you don't want to stay in hotel for meals. The staff are brilliant friendly and helpful. 10/10 We will definitely be back.

• robl349 (10/5): Lovely hotel and was great value for money. - We stayed early April and was not disappointed. Great breakfast with so much to choose from. The standard room was very nice with an excellent shower bathroom. Good facilities and only 5 minutes walk from the beach. Traffic can be a bit noisy late at night in back streets. But overall a nice stay with 22c sunny 🌞 days most days which is great for April. Nice clean beach too.

• treezytrops (4/5): Feeling let down - I’m currently staying here with my son in a family room. The food is extremely delicious and the swimming pools are large and spacious with plenty of sun loungers. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and there is plenty of entertainment. Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again because the beds are too hard, so I’ve had to fold over a quilt underneath me to try and get some sleep at night. I am also facing quite a bit of noise from a family staying in the room above us. They are constantly bouncing a ball on the floor and banging. I wouldn’t mind a usual amount of noise but this is really causing a disturbance which I feel is unfair to my family. I contacted reception about this several days ago to be told that because it’s a family hotel and it’s before 10 pm I have to put up with the noise and they wouldn’t let me move rooms, despite it affecting my son trying to sleep. Overall a lovely hotel but let down by its customer service.

Central location overlooking the beach. 5/5 The balcony door needs to be shut if you want to sleep, as the noise doesn’t stop until around 3am, but if you want to be in the middle of the amenities you have to put up with it. Once the door is shut there’s hardly any noise.

• Connector31954932170 (10/5): Friendly hotel - Staying at the Jupiter Algarve Hotel was a pleasant experience. The staff are kind and responsive to your needs and it is always clean and smells great. It is close to the beach and it is also on a great street with other shops and restaurants. The fact that the hotel’s swimming pool is free for guests is great. The spa is a great addition to the hotel and I’d recommend it for all guests staying at the hotel. One thing to be aware of (though not related to the hotel itself) is that on the surrounding street, you may occasionally be approached by people offering to sell weed. This seemed to be the norm in Portimão, so it’s just something to keep in mind.

• Molewife (10/5): Great Hotel - We enjoyed our first time here at this hotel 6 months ago so came back again but treated ourselves to sea view room which was well worth it. Staff so helpful & friendly. Food choices & quality excellent. “Half board plus” which includes the drinks with evening meal was good value. We were so well looked after by everyone with special shout out to Mohammed in dining room and to the lovely maid who kept our room on 4th floor spotless. Good location close to beautiful sandy beach, shops and transport. Would happily go there again.

• Coastal35064417397 (10/5): The Best of Times In Best Hotel! - What can I say that I haven’t said before. Another outstanding stay at the Jupiter. How it is not 5* is beyond me, although if it gets the 5 then the costs go up so let’s keep it at 4* 😛 This was our 9th stay in this hotel and 17th in Praia Da Rocha. Hotel is spotless, beds are comfortable, service incredible (nothing is ever too much). I say it every time but if you could bottle up Marcello and sell it the world would be such a great place. The takings must go down massively when he’s not on shift. That’s not meant to detract from the other bar staff they are all so helpful. Marcella though is like the Devil on your shoulder. I need very little encouragement to have an ice cold somersby at 10am. 😛 The rooms were cleaned every day, fresh bedding and towels. Thank you. The SPA outstanding as usual, note the price has gone up. But that’s ok. Currently looking to return later this year. The only downside this time was the number of bikers in town for the World Super Bikes made it very noisy appreciate that was not fault of hotel so if anyone is sensitive to noise might be worth checking out what is on during your stay. I never mentioned the breakfast. Incredible selections! The evening menu not to my taste at all during the last 10 day. Such a shame the evening menu and lunch menu is not to the same standard as the pool bar snacks because they are incredibly good. Again, thank you for a great holiday. We’ll be back.

• Paloma (8/5): Hotel muy bueno para disfrutar de la playa - Hotel en casi primera línea de playa. Muy bien la habitación y el baño. Cama un poco dura, pero cómoda. Almohadas, suficiente. Todo muy limpio. Personal amable , en especial , en recepción Claudia, que muy amable , nos solucionó de forma eficiente un pequeño problema con la reserva. Muy buena ubicación , con un paseo estupendo, al lado una heladería magnífica y bares y restaurantes cercanos. La piscina , cubierta y aclimatada, para el mes de abril, genial. El desayuno está bien. La playa , a dos pasos, magnífica. Poca zona de piscina. Nosotros en abril, muy bien, pero imagino en verano, un poco justa. En el baño no hay amenitis

• cr124z (10/5): Lovely - We stayed here for 7 days at the end of March & had a fantastic stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy. Our room was nice (although next time we will make sure we have a balcony) - cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels & bedding if you wish. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice & everything tasted fresh. The best thing about this hotel are the staff (special mention to Marcello & Bryan). They cannot do enough for you - and always with a smile. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends and hope to be back in the near future.

It is a pity that there is no ventilation in the bathroom; as a result, it will deteriorate quickly. Friendly staff and always willing to answer your questions.

• 632NicoleP632 (8/5): Hotel in a great area - 5 stars for the location of the Hotel, cleanliness, public space, bar and dinning room service and staff. 3 stars for room selection - When we arrived at the Jupiter Hotel, we encountered an issue with our room. We had paid for a premium view room months in advance, expected a fantastic vantage as we had enjoyed during our previous stay. However, this time we were assigned a room on the first floor which had metal security roller shutters on the balcony blocking any view and making it dark. Even afterl we were finally able to push up the shutters there was no sun on the balcony, the view was a roof and pool cover with the tiniest view of the beach. The room was unacceptable to us, especially that we were staying for 3 weeks. We requested a room change but was initially told there were no available options, which was frustrating. After returning to the front desk and persisting through a lengthy process - offer for a room on the second (again no view), back and forth and finally to the fifth-floor - it took about 30 minutes to resolve. We were able to move the next day. Not a great start to a vacation! The view from the 5th floor was exactly what we wanted and enjoyed the sunshine on the balcony. We know other couples from our group weren’t as fortunate or persistent in getting their rooms on the 1st floor changed, which is unfortunate. 3 stars for the gym - The gym is located downstairs between the dinning room, spa and the garage. The gym is small with a lot of workout machines and small selection of dumbbells. I found it to be uninviting and was not comfortable working out on my own. Only went once during our 3 week stay. I still recommend the Jupiter Hotel just make sure you get the room with the view you paid for.

The hotel itself is modern and sleek with a recently refurbished reception, bar and restaurant. The staff are friendly and engaging, professional, giving a sense of pride and desire to assist and deliver what was a fab stay.
