- Ita m (9/5): - great location, staff are friendly.
great value for money
rooms are clean
great area - walking distance from lots of restaurants and shopping malls rooms without balcony nor windows.

- Punit (9/5): Good hotel with good budget in Bangkok - Perfect hotel for budget friendly, most of the time this property is booked. They dont allow you to extend even if u are ready to pay extra money. You need to check out on time.
- Charity (10/5): Good stay - Nice room Not having breakfast
- Béatrice (8/5): -
- shamsuddin (10/5): -
- Mon (10/5): Vert well - All Manque de portes serviettes

- Desmond (1/5): Bad - The hotel has a great outlook and the lobby is impressive. The morning staff do their best to provide excellent service, which I truly appreciate. However, the night shift experience was disappointing. Believe it or not, there's no way to get an extra bottle of drinking water at night—even if you're willing to pay for it. That’s simply unacceptable and quite surprising for a hotel of this standard. While the hotel has a nice appearance and a welcoming lobby, my overall experience was quite disappointing:
The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Water pressure on the 4th floor was very weak, making showers frustrating.
The night shift staff were not polite or helpful.
The “mini suite” was nothing like what was advertised—very misleading.
An extra bed costs an additional 900 baht, and with the room rate totaling nearly $120 USD, it simply isn’t worth it. At that price, there are far better options available.
I strongly advise against booking the mini suite—it did not meet expectations in any way.
Even if I were offered a free stay, I wouldn't choose to return.

- Panthawat (8/5): Very good -

- Warren (4/5): - I like a firm bed , this hotel bed was hard like a wood plank, bathroom sink no hot water , shower hot water was warm only . Bathroom small , the room amenities not well thought out , hair dryer is out side by a mirror mounted too lwow

- Renata (6/5): - ok
- Diako (8/5): Hyggelig hotell sentralt i Bangkok - For prisen så får man mer enn forventet. Veldig hyggelig ansatte i resepsjonen.
Man får valuta for pengene.
- Khin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Myo (8/5): - Good hotel and good service.
- Myo (8/5): - We enjoyed our hotel stay immensely. The service, cleanliness, and comfort were excellent, and shopping was convenient. However, one front desk staff member was unpleasant and didn't greet us. Following our feedback, the issue was resolved. The hotel staff were nice and respectful. We appreciated the hotel's convenience and look forward to returning.
- Masai (8/5): The hotel is quite, safe and comfortable to stay. - Location from the market to the hotel.
friendly staff
clean socket couldn't charge
sink was slow in draining water.
- Myo (8/5): - Hotel and location are excellent. Easy access to dining and shopping. Our stay was pleasant. Staff quality varies, but feedback yielded improvements. We intend to return soon.
- Andy (4/5): - Reception bad service
- Myo (6/5): - Need more customer care and more provide consistent needs. No help transportation at all.
- Mario (8/5): - Price too high
- Kyaw (4/5): Disappointing -
- Donald (4/5): Disappointing. - Bed was hard. No electric kettle, packets of coffee, tea and sugar in the room. Room furnishings were absolute minimum.
- Teng (10/5): - Nice and fish environment
- Bee (6/5): Pleasant - Location No cotton buds and tooth brush provided
- Zay (7/5): Good -
- Dippak (4/5): We guessed that the hotel was being renovated and did not bother to raise concerns. - Close to a very good market, Sky train was not far. Main road and taxi access was good. Restaurants around the hotel were good. Staff was friendly and courteous. Location of hotel is fantastic. Rooms had only 1 chair, if friends come in, they had to sit on the bed which I do not like. There was no hot water kettle in the room and instant coffee/tea sachets which was disappointing, because that's the basic. My bathroom door knob was in a bad shape, and I could not close bathroom door. Services could be improved, and tariff can be increased as the location is good.
- Abdul (6/5): need coffee make in room - need cofee make in room. and breakfast in hotel
- Zailani (9/5): Worth the money. - Friendly and helpful staff Toilet too cramp but not much of a problem.
- Alexius (1/5): I will come back again - Clean rooms
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional - Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff
- Jimmy (4/5): Disappointing - The location small alley.
nice staff and help That booking write bar and restaurang there eas non.
And no breakfast
- Dylan (3/5): Poor - Very clean, shower pressure was ok, some changes and this hotel would be very nice No access to balcony they don't let you open the sliding door and balcony had a metal guard blocking all vision. Bed was hard, aircon is loud even on lowest setting, you can hear everything down the hall way, the small fridge was making loud random noises, no footpaths on surrounding roads, the safe was locked had to get them to open it, lights are too bright no low light option
- Sreng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadiah (8/5): Very good -
- Aminath (8/5): Very good - Very accommodative staff and kind. Currently no breakfast buffet available
- Ahmed (8/5): Very good -
- Madison198 (2/5): Worst hotel experience EVER!! - I would rate this the worst place in bangkok.
First we made reservations for 1 night through an agent. But the room was a twin room so after staying for 1 day i went to the counter and told the girl at the reception that i am checking out. She said ok and i went to another hotel
Next day the agent called me and told me to pay for TWO nights?!! They said hotel didnt inform them that i had checked out and i have to pay them.
Turns out the girl in the counter doesnt speak english. 🤦🏼♀️😡😡. Why keep staff like that to interact with guests!! I had to pay for an extra night . Please be careful of them. Ruined my whole trip 😡😡
- SHIFAU3934 (6/5): Family Vacation - Spent 9 nights with the booking of 4 rooms. Staffs are friendly and location is really good for shopping as its a Pratunam Market. But I don’t recommend for families yet its a good place for solo travelers or group individuals. No safe will be provided in the room yet for a budget travelers its a worthy place in Pratunam
- FeliciaN12345 (6/5): AVERAGE STAY - Given the price one pays, I cant really complain much, hence scoring an average .
It is nearer to a lot of shopping malls, a walking distance even. Platinum fashion mall, prataunam mall, baiyoke and indra shopping malls.
- janicesoo (6/5): Trip in Thailand - The location of this hotel was okay . But at home Female travel walking along the street need to be more careful because the ally was kinda dark . Some distance to pratunam mall . The room was still okay . Good enough to let u rest well . The stuff was okay .
- UnseenCupid (6/5): "Good enough place to rest" - Didn't stayed long. If you need a cheap place to rest/sleep at night after a long day of shopping or exhausting activities.. I think that this hotel is suitable for it as the location is also convenient 'cause it's near to BTS station so as the other night markets. But if you seek a proper service for such a 3 star hotel...look for another hotel then.
- hoksipgao (8/5): Basic hotel in good location - This hotel is probably suited to solo travelers or those on a budget. Clean enough for me but not for some of the reviewers on here. Because of its low price it is popular with people that come to buy from the market and sell back home. This is not an issue with me. The hotel is fairly quiet and really very well located. I'd recommend it to travelers but maybe not for a family holiday. The area seems perfectly safe to me (even at night) and I have had no problems. The facilities are basic but there are some nice coffee shops and 7-11/family mart very close. There are also lots of genuine massage places that do Thai massage for 200 THB during the daytime for about 1 hr. Rachatewi is the nearest BTS station and that's about 10 min walk. One cool place to hang out is the good day hostel just around the corner. Run by an American speaking Thai, it's like a trendy London coffee shop but without the London prices. There is also another place on the corner called Goto something or other. The coffee is not as good but the food looks good.So basically you are getting what you pay for. If its your dream trip then don't come here.If you are a seasoned traveler then it's fine. One other thing. I asked to extend my stay and the lady at the desk told me to book online to save money and she was right. To book in person would cost double. So the staff are good just don't expect 5 star treatment for 3 star money. Ah another thing. There is no safe. I took my chances and left passport and wallet under the bed.
- wanchen65 (2/5): Avoid this hotel - I do not think this hotel is rated three stars.
When i arrived at the hotel with bulky luggages ,no one was welcomed and helpful.
Next to the reception, the staff did not have a good greeting, no information about
the hotel and the information needed for my trip.. ..
With old room, devious design, not full equipped for travellers such as hair dryers, comb, slippers, toothbrushes,towels.... more than... the airconditioner so noisy can not sleep well and the bathrooom was not hot water , i called to front desk, she said no have hot water that mean i had to take a cold water while it was ranining out .. OMG!!!
Alot of things i want to let them know but the hotel staff cant do any more... cant return the room , cant cancel room from Traveloka ...
- paullJ4891OZ (8/5): Good location, quiet and spotlessly clean - The hotel is small but located 2 minutes walk from Pratunam market and Baiyoke. Tons of restaurants and other attractions nearby.
Initially a bit of a mixup with my booking, but the staff upgraded our room to a larger one for free once they realized my 5 year old son was traveling with us and saw their mistake.
Hotel has a nice restaurant but unfortunately it's only open for Breakfast and lunch but with all the eateries nearby, it's not really an issue.
Room was spotlessly clean with very basic mini-bar and complimentary water. No coffee making facilities :(
The only real downside to our stay was that there is no secure parking, only street parking outside the hotel that isn't available until 2pm when other guests have checked out.
Still a highly recommended place to stay..
- Christywai (10/5): Very convenient - Near to The Central World , there are so many street food around the corner. Staffs are friendly. Price are very reasonable! If hotel can provide slipper and tooth brush it will be better. Oh! The good things is they have variety of tv channel , the bad things is Wifi speed very slow.
- lemoncoke07 (4/5): avoid - the only good thing about this place is the location.
receptionist wasn't very welcoming. we asked if we could view the room before booking to stay, one staff with the unfriendliest and rude tone said no. fine by us, maybe its their policy. we had no choice but to book with them as the surrounding hotels were fully booked. we waited until 2pm for check-in, and upon check in we were given one key per room. at this point, no payment was mentioned. some hotels will deduct the payment automatically (from the card) as it was used to secure the room. so i thought that might be it. the reception was full of people so i missed the chance to ask. at about 11pm, the receptionist called the room demanding for payment - turns out they didn't take the payment from the card yet, and demanded us to pay right then. i had no problem, but parents were asleep. the card was with them, and they were in the next room. not wanting to wake them up, i asked if we could do it first thing tomorrow. the lady started yelling saying no no no no must pay now. i said but i had no card on me, i will do it tomorrow. the yelling continued, she demanded for a deposit right then for $200. i said i had no dollars on me, and if she'd take Baht instead. after a few minutes, unclear of what she was yelling about, she finally said ok pay me in Baht. i understand it was partly my mistake, i should've made it clear during check in. but i was mad at the how she behaved and treated a customer, especially when it was about midnight!
the room itself was filthy - room smells weird, torn bedsheets and stained pillowcase. torn and poor quality towel. mould seen everywhere in the room (in the cupboard, in the toilet, shower room). water pressure not stable. no kettle, no slippers provided. aircond was very loud, could hardly sleep. the last 2 days of our stay, the sink was heavily clogged. unstable wifi. overall, poor hygiene. everything is dated - a huge renovation should be done. the elevator was full of writings and remarks, clearly needs a repaint/upgrade. maybe because it is an old hotel - but it wasn't acceptable and i will not return. def do not recommend.
- emierzal (8/5): Grand Watergate Hotel Bangkok - Near to Pratunan Market(5 minutes walk),Platinum Mall (5 minutes walk). If you like to shoping at pratunan area this small hotel is recomended.AirCon,Hot Water avaliable. There's a small restaurant if you wanna had a breakfast..
- Soomalmur (8/5): Good one - I liked this hotel because its cheap and near to great shopping malls like pratunum fashion mbk by train, station is very near and you can just walk around whole day ans end up having amazing thai massage. This place has alots of thai massage places nearby.
- NhiT142 (10/5): It's awsome! - The room very clean and smell good! The staff friendly and smile, the breakfast not much variety. Pay 1700 bath it's woth it! View also nice from hight to down, the facillity in room convinience and quality
- jorjemiguelf (4/5): Needs urgent improvement - Needs improvement:
-Customer service as the FO day staff is not friendly.
-Very limited breakfast option
-Water heater for coffee was nowhere to be found
-Linens are old and need to be replaced
-Water pressure for shower is not stable and sometimes very weak
-Wifi is also weak (better buy tourist sim card
-In room amenities not complete
-TV channels very limited
Other than those mentioned,
Location is good and rate is reasonable, however, there are other hotels also that are cheap but good in service.
Thanks
- JAnnisT19 (6/5): Not that bad.... - Had a 4 nights stay here since it's budget for the mini suite, & near to the malls.
Cleanliness is average, front desk staff my friends and I encountered are actually friendly and they do smile and chat with us...
Location is good, just that the traffic is really bad, congested. Be careful when walking to the local market and malls which are just walking distance away.
My only complaint is that during our first night, it was really noisy as there was a group of people making a fuss or arguments nearby till very late... then around 4am there is a rooster sounding the wake up alarm. Somehow, the 2nd night the group of people noise managed to end earlier and subsequently quiet down.
- erline8989 (8/5): Nice Hotel - Nice and friendly reception. Clean room, good wifi. Same breakfast every day, just one menu changing each day.
Near Phaya Thai BTS Station and Pratunam Market so easy to find food at night or shopping.
- Nadxlv (2/5): Worst customer service - Have been in this hotel for more then 6 times..this time its the worst room we got with a toilet flash that doesnt work..and the room is terrible.. but i ddnt complain.. 2nd day housekeeping left damaged towels and no face towels were replaced on the second day... the drinking glass kept in the room had cracks in them.. we always see visotors come and leave other rooms... so i had no clue we had to ask the reception for permission... had a friend visiting us for iftar.. so i went down and asked the lady in reception to give new glasses as we were fasting and we had brought watermelon juice from a vendor not packed in cups but in a water bottle..and some food from outside.. but she was very rude and asked whats wrong with the glasses in the room and there were no more glass when clearly i could see it in the lobby infront of her..and will give glass next day.. i told her we will be checking out early morning.. her issue was why we have a visitor and when he came.. i was so pissed off to see the smirk on her face to see me so unhappy..i think she has an issue with my colour or religion.. i thanked her for the wonderful service and left... never coming back to this place ever... grand watergate you guys have lost some loyal customers who have been coming here every month for a week for the last 6 months.... crappy customer service was why you lost us.. i know you will not give a damn as customers will always keep coming...never mess with someone who is fasting..
PS i guess the houskeeping wasdone by some blind thai lady as she ddnt notice the towel was torn and very old... amazing
- jkte0h (2/5): WHAT IN THE WORLD - Oh my. Oh my goodness. Where do I even begin...?
This hotel is where I would go if I wanted to break up with someone but wanted them to initiate it.
Basic toilet amenities (hair dryer, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaver) not provided.
No tissue box provided in room, too.
Oh, and no eating was allowed in our room. (?!)
Air-conditioner was loud, preventing us from having good quality sleep. Considering that we were here only at night to rest, this was a huge annoyance.
The Wi-Fi here was weak. WEAK. Enough said.
The staff here barely spoke English. To be fair, we can't expect them to be able to speak English, but if you are worried about communication and don't speak Thai, please find other hotels. I can't believe I had to play a game of charades just to ask them to fix the heater.
The power sockets and heater weren't working suddenly on the second day. We had to complain to get them to fix it.
What was the breakfast? Why even bother having the breakfast like this? I can't imagine anyone who would be willing to pay for this spread.
When we came back late to the hotel one night, the receptionist looked at us with disdain, like we were trespassing, and asked us in a very confrontational manner what our room number was. Why be so aggressive? It's not like we would enter this hellhole if we were bound by our booking to stay here.
Here's the cherry on the icing on the cake. LAUNDRY. On their website, they stated that they provided laundry services. Hence, we packed lighter, thinking we could pay for laundry services. Unfortunately, when we approached the receptionist, she was clueless about the laundry service. She couldn't tell us how much would be charged, she couldn't tell us when we could get our clothes back. What was worse was that the receptionist even told us to look for laundromats outside, without even telling us where exactly the nearest laundromat was. Sadly, the night before our checkout we asked for our clothes. They were left in the same corner for 2 days. Untouched, unwashed. They said we could have gotten it back that night. Why even?!
End rant.
- 885vianeyp (8/5): Very good ! - First time visit bangkok and stayed at this hotel. The hotel seems old but not bad. The twin bed room is not small, toilet is very clean ❤ becarefull if you back to the hotel at night, the road is dark. Near pratunam market , platinum fashion mall, pantip plaza. Far from bts, you have to walk 20-30 minutes, when you walk to bts, you will see central world mall, big C supermarket ( buy bento here, cheaper than other place), and siam paragon.
- Fayluna (6/5): So-so - If I could suggest something to this hotel it will be kindly encourage the staffs to be more friendly and to show smile or happy-to-help face to the guests. The staffs indeed helped me with direction and they also speak English, however they lack of hospitality. I saw one of the staffs smiling as a farewell to me after staying for 4days in this hotel, but I rarely saw them smiling on the other day. When I asked question, indeed they answered my question however they didn't look at me and replied my question while doing something else. Location is okey, 950m or 10-15mins walking distance to Ratchathewi train station (depends on your own pace). Another station nearby is Phaya Thai however I never tried this station before. There is halal restaurant (Tastyfood Restaurant) just next to the hotel which has relatively good price with big portion and nice taste. There are also thai massage parlors around the hotel, you can just choose one of them and have a message there before go back to the hotel after a long adventurous day. Nearby attraction is Platinum Fashion Mall/Pratunam Market in 650m or around 10mins walking distance. There are also 7-11 and money changer nearby this hotel, kindly ask to the reception if you need direction. Room is spacious and clean yet there is no iron/hair dryer, I'm not sure whether they are available by request. Lift is available however it is quite small so if you bring big luggages you might have to wait until it is not occupied by other guest. If you are grab rider, no worries, location is easily find by the GPS.
