• TorontoTasa (10/5): Absolutely Perfect Stay in Ilha Grande - I don’t even know where to start—everything was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect, right next to the pier but still very quiet. The breakfast was extraordinary, with an incredible variety of food—truly something for everyone. The room was spotless, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. We mostly interacted with the receptionists—Lara, Luane, Romana, and Floe—and they were all outstanding, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Check-in and check-out were exceptional. Even after we checked out, they let us continue using all the facilities and provided towels so we could shower before leaving, which was such a thoughtful touch. There’s also a snack bar where we enjoyed cookies and tea, and we absolutely loved their cachaça drink! This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. I would never consider staying anywhere else if I return to Ilha Grande—highly, highly recommended!
• N1731ZHjeroenv (10/5): Location is everything - Very nice hotel. And of course: location is everything. The beach is only 10 meter from the hotel. And also very close to the ferry (2 minutes walk). We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good, the rooms are spacious (with airco) and the beds are of good quality. The hotel is currently being renovated. That caused some noise. The swimming pool and recreation space are superb.

• CHRISTOPHE (8/5): - Premier séjour sur cette île charmante! L’emplacement de cette Poussada est je penses le meilleur , car on est tout prêt de tout. Ce n’est pas luxueux pour le prix, mais le personnel est très gentil et parlent différentes langues. L’endroit est propre. Pas de fer à repasser, ni de petite bouteille d’eau d’accueil, le wifi n’a jamais fonctionné pour nous, mais nous étions en vacances totalement’ ce qui a moyennement gêné. Malgré,des petits défaut et le prix délirant’ je recommande cette Poussada et cette île incroyable.

The room was in a very good condition and we slept as logs! Pool available and the only thing we reacted negatively about was the "breakfast ladies" that never said "good morning/hallo" or smiled! Reception staff was lovely .

O local tambem tem facil acesso para trilhas e passeios de barco. A estrutura do hotel é ótima. Tudo limpo e moderno. Uma excelente piscina, sauna, sala de jogos e área para descansar com sofás e televisão. Os quartos sao amplos e confortáveis. O café da manhã é farto e variado. Na entrada do hotel existem mesas e cadeiraa onde vc pode consumir a sua própria bebida e comida e apreciar o movimento da praia do Abraão. Alem de todas estas vantagens na recepção oferecem um chá da tarde de cortesia e tem um garrafão de cachaça de otima qualidade para ser degustado pelos hóspedes o dia inteiro.

• Rodrigo (10/5): - beach front hotel, literally the dining room is 3 meters fromthe beach. Lots of restaurants and ahops nearby and 5 minute walk from the Abrao pier. The swimming pool was closed due to renovations. Breakfast was good, wirh delicious tapioca pancakes made to order, fresh fruit and lots of cakes. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.
• Jacqueline (2/5): - This place has terrible customer service. The hotel is under renovation and the pool is closed. The construction noise begins at 7:00a.m so when we addressed the issue with the manager she gave us attitude and told us that the noise can begin at any given time of the day by the owner of the pousada. The owner knew that we were at the lobby trying to address our concerns and once he saw us he ran out of the lobby and wanted nothing to do with us. The manager was nasty, rude and condescending. Nothing was resolved because the next day there was noise again from the construction. The next day the manager also saw us in the lobby having breakfast and did not say a word to us not even a good morning! It’s despicable the way they treat their customers as if we needed their inn to stay meanwhile there are many other ones with much better service and consideration over others. We left the next day and went to another pousada where they treated us with respect. I will never go back to this place ever again!

• ShellyBansal (4/5): Pousada Recreio da Praia doesn’t deserve a 4.5 rating - Very basic accommodation. The walls of the rooms are paper thin and you can hear the next door TV as if it’s in your room. The location is very good. When we were there they were doing maintenance work on the adjoining block and there was rubble everywhere. The Manageress was totally unsympathetic to our situation. The support staff were much more polite and helpful. You can take coffee and tea from the reception to your room but you have flimsy plastic cups that you have to triple up. It would be so simple to leave some cups or mugs. Breakfast was ok. One day I asked for a fried egg and got a fried scrambled egg. Just generally disappointed with their whole approach to customers.
• RICARDO (6/5): Pode melhorar... - O hotel é bom, bem localizado, mas o cheiro de mofo do quarto deixou a desejar... O ar condicionado não funcionou direito, bem como a televisão, que só funcionou no segundo dia.
• Luiz Henrique (8/5): Valeu a pena! - A pousada fica bem localizada. De frente para a praia do Abraão e bem próxima do cais de onde partem as lanchas que vão para Angra dos Reis. Quarto amplo, limpo, camas confortáveis e silencioso (está tendo uma reforma de ampliação na pousada, mas não chegou a me incomodar). Bom café da manhã. No local também disponibilizam água potável e há bolos, café e chá no final da tarde. Só achei desnecessária a cobrança de taxa para retirar as toalhas para o passeio, já que elas serão devolvidas.

• camila Stela (8/5): Delicia - Foi uma estadia feliz , bem Localizada , café da manhã excelente, funcionários agradáveis . A pousada está em reforma no momento. Ficamos no quarto p 4 pessoas . Casal e filhos. Minha dica , colocar mais cabides p pendurar roupas molhadas , toalhas . Pois ficamos no quarto térreo , não dava p deixar a janela aberta quando saíamos para os passeios , então as roupas foram ficando molhadas , o banheiro estava c janela quebrada então sem ventilação, no 3º dia foi arrumado , acredito que não foi no 1º dia da reclamação por falta de ser comunicado pela recepção , mesma coisa no 2º dia . Mas quando falei direto c a camareira , ela já nos atendeu chamando uma pessoa que no mesmo momento já resolveu ! Mas foi uma estadia feliz , voltarei ! Adoraria ficar no quarto de cima , com Mais locais p pendurar roupas rsrs ! Obs no 3º dia a camareira me mostrou um Varal lá fora e ajudou muito
• Djalma (10/5): Excelente pousada. - Já me hospedei em diversas pousadas na Ilha Grande, mas se tratando de conforto, localização, nenhuma pousada da Ilha Grande consegue oferecer igual. O quarto é de primeira, com Split, ventilador de teto, frigobar e a tv é Sky com todos os canais (Telecine, SporTV etc...) Além de uma piscina de médio comprimento, tem sauna, salão de jogos, copa com microondas. O refeitório é grande e o café da manhã é excelente. Não é por acaso que ela é a única pousada 3 estrelas da Ilha. Logicamente, por tudo isso, ela tem um custo maior que as outras. Mas se grana não é o seu problema.....
• Alexandre (6/5): Nao vale o valor pago. - Quarro com paredes sujas, ar condicionado sem limpeza, mesmo apos solicitar, tinha mofo no filtro do ar condicionado, a cama do casal sao 2 de solteiros juntas, o que faz a juncao desconfortável, cafe da manha e localização ótimos, a pousada esta em obra, muito barulho durante o dia.

• Felipe (4/5): Encontrei Barulho de furadeira no paraiso - Bem, escolhi Ilha Grande pra estar num lugar silencioso e perto da natureza. Porém a pousada estava em reforma, por isso me acordaram as 07:30 da manhã com barulho de marreta e furadeira. Fizeram isso 2 vezes e na volta dos passeios, quase 8 da noite, a mesma coisa, mais barulho. Só pararam dps que reclamei muito, tive que reclamar 2 dias seguidos. Ai pararam. Café da manha era Ok. Os funcionários bem gentis e educados. Localização muito boa. Quarto OK, nada demais.

Porém, no café da manhã, por 2 dias, o pão francês acabou e ainda tinha 1 hora pra terminar o café. Faltou logística. Nos foi informado, que devido a pandemia, os quartos são limpos dia sim dia não. Por ser área de praia, fica ruim o esquema. Mas as camareiras ficavam na varanda, bem na entrada da pousada de papo, mas limpar os quartos não podiam...

Localização e dependências ótimas,diferencial foi o cafezinho a tarde e o bebedouro com agua gelada disponível no jardim. Ponto Negativo para o café da manhã com poucas opções sendo as existentes sem sabor como os bolos e tortas, considerando o valor da diária pode ser melhorado.

• JJawandering (10/5): A delightful place for a short stay - This has all you need for a good stay. Breakfast is excellent, rooms have an overhead fan and air conditioning and are clean and comfortable. On rainy days, there are sheltered spots outside you can relax for a good read. Staff speak English and are very helpful. I also liked the provision of potable water for you to fill up your own water bottle. Highly recommended!
• orquideasy (4/5): Poor - Do not know another hotel but this one was a little depressive. Noisy because of cleaning machines and cleaning personal makes noise in the back rooms. the reception personal could be kinder. Room clean.
• fentium (8/5): Great location, clean and welcoming - Locate a few minutes stroll along the front, on one of the few made up roads in the town, makes it an easy choice for convenience. The is not our first time staying here and found the reception staff to be constantly helpful. The rooms are above average to for pousadas in the town, clean and with a good shower. The pousada is equipped with a generator, which was needed when we stayed last, so try and secure a room near the pool to avoid the noise, if the generator is needed.

It also has many great things going for it however,slightly let down by some of the people on reception. One lady was very friendly but the rest not, unable to smile at all. The breakfast was plentiful with fabulous coffee. The pool was adequate albeit very cold with the most uncomfortable sun loungers I have ever sat on. Shame as this has the potential to be fabulous.
• EimearH38 (10/5): Gorgeous hotel - This hotel was fab. Right on the beach you can hear the soothing waves from your bedroom. Breakfast was lovely and room was extremely clean. Receptionists were really helpful and give a 10 per cent discount for all tours. Hotel really close to port aswell so didn't have to carry our luggage too far.Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

• surv2015 (10/5): Probably the best place to stay on Ilha Grande - We (family of 4 adults) stayed here 6 nights June 10th through 16th. There was nothing to complain about. Staff was very, very friendly, smiling and extremely helpful. I needed medical attention (blood pressure suddenly falling low) and everyone was so nice, effective and helpful!!! Thank you / muito obrigado ! The breakfast was fantastic, especially the fruit - we loved it (I believe they realised because we took to it) The rooms were clean! And the position of the Pousada could not be better: central, where the genuine vibes were getting you and next to all the boats. We would lave to go there again and stay somewhat longer. Um verdadeira vantagem para que todo mundo fique bem hidratado durante sua estadia na praia e, ainda, para conservação do meio ambiente, eliminando-se o uso de garrafas plásticas.

Seul bémol le personnel impersonnel. Aucune information à l'arrivée, pas même la possibilité d'avoir des serviettes pour la piscine, peu de sourires, surtout de la préposée aux petits déjeuner. Petite amélioration en fin de séjour lors du Check out.

• Marcos (6/5): Localização boa mas precisam melhorar o atendiment - O chuveiro não esquentava, tomei banho por dois dias no frio. E estava no inverno, ou seja, um gelo. Acho que eles queriam economizar na energia. Além disso fui mal tratado pela servente do café da manhã, mal educada e parecia que estava fazendo um favor pra mim.

• Jennifer (2/5): Bed bugs - stay away!! - I got bitten to shreds by bed bugs in this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. Very basic rooms which were disappointing considering this is one of the more expensive accommodations on the island. The bed bug issue ruined a number of days of our holiday and I hold the hotel responsible for this - better hygiene and cleanliness is required as a priority to avoid this problem in the future. The hotel also advertises WiFi but we could not access this for the majority of our 3 night stay. Overall a very bad experience and one we will remember for all the wrong reasons.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Functional with no charm - For starters I should say there was essentially nothing wrong with my stay. The air-con works well, the bed is comfortable, location is right on the water and hot water pressure is good. Beyond that I can't say I liked the place because it has no charm. White tiles everywhere and fluorescent lighting gives a clinical look. Breakfast was reasobable though I did not really like the pastries. Internet was extremely slow but I suspect this will be a problem everywhere on this island. After all this, everyone must visit Ilha Grande. It is a spectacular piece of unspoilt paradise. Stay wherever you can but definitely go.
• cb (8/5): Recommend! - Excellent location- 3 minute walk from main dock, firm beds, pool is nice (not heated!), firm on checkout time. Poor wifi from room, even though router is right outside door. Game tables are nice touch.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great location and nice facility! - This hotel had a 2.5 Star rating when I was booking it. I must have read the reviews and decided not to trust the rating because normally I don't book under 3 Stars. Am I glad I read the reviews! This hotel was a great find on Ilha Grande! Great location - just steps away from the dock and the downtown activities -; great facility; nice staff; pleasant breakfast; and acceptable internet connectivity (considering we are on an island off the coast of a third world country...sorry, Brazil!). I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would come back again, and again and again.
• Mr. Brasil (8/5): Excellent location - If you want to be close to hustle bustle and center of town, this is the place to stay. However, Saturday night there a live music on the street next door. I used my ear plugs and had no problem sleeping.
• Shannon (8/5): Great hotel but staff were not helpful - The hotel is in the perfect location right next to the pier where the boat drops you off. The room was clean, pool and rec area are nice. Breakfast was not great for what we paid for the room and staff were not helpful at all. Asked staff for help with maps and things to do on the island but got no help. Something I thought was a joke was that they charge guests to use there beach towels. We were also unable to get late checkout and once we checked out they charged us to rent pool towels for the rest of the day. Definitely need to work on the customer service here.
