The morning of checkout, after housekeeping knocked, another employee knocked and asked when we were leaving. It was 9:00 am and checkout was 11:00. Seemed a bit rushed to get us out.

- Patrik (9/5): Tolles Stadthotel, super Lage und natürlich Top Ausstattung! - Super Lage, freundliches Personal, schöner Pool Mit Frühstück gebucht, es gibt aber kein “klassisches” Frühstücksrestaurant. Wir wurden in die Lounge upgegradet, in welchem Frühstück zu bekommen ist Es gab eine Fee/Gebühr mit der einige Sachen inkludiert waren, trotzdem etwas unübersichtlich was wie wo zu bekommen ist und man ist “genötigt” auch diese Dienstleistungen zu kaufen, was aber natürlich teurer kommt. Das ist etwas ungewöhnlich für europäische Verhältnisse. Obwohl das Frühstück von guter Qualität war, war es nach ein paar Tagen etwas eintönig (meckern auf hohem Niveau)

- Megan (6/5): Prepare for many additional costs on top of your stay - The location was very central and convenient and walkable during our stay. The rooms are not very sound proof so you can hear all of the street sounds at night. The sheets are also extremely thin and the AC unit was pretty loud in our room. Additionally they charge you a $25 destination fee that you cannot waive on top of your stay and it can only be used at select restaurants if you choose. Valet parking cost $70 per DAY so our 2 night stay yielded an additional parking cost of $210 since there are no parking lots in the area for self parking.

- Sean (5/5): Uneven service and many of the rooms are not well insulated from the elevator noise. - Front desk staff was responsive and professional. We got kicked out of the Edge rooftop lounge. We were given 3 minutes notice to leave because we were approaching the 2 hour time limit that we not not aware of. When we left there was still plenty of seating available. It was a weird interaction if the staff. The noise from the elevators was unacceptable. I was a half way down the adjacent hallway and the noise kept me up at night. The front desk staff helped me with a room change. The hotel was under construction so the first floor amenities were not available. The in and out access from the parking garage did not work.

- David (10/5): The perfect hotel for Austin travel! A true gem centrally located! - One of the best hotels in Austin - centrally located, gorgeous, lots of amenities and amazing restaurants. The staff is so attentive and the rooms are amazing. It is always a joy to stay here when we visit Austin! The pool is a perfect escape during the day with poolside cocktails and great views of downtown Austin. The restaurants are perfect for a brunch with friends, watch the big game, or grab a quick bite before checking out the city. Its our favorite place to stay for Austin City Limits, SXSW or just a quick Austin getaway. Parking is expensive for what it is and is charged separately from the hotel - which can be annoying. But overall no notes - great property and the staff are amazing.

- Compass804886 (10/5): A great thanksgiving experience in JW Marriott Austin - We had an outstanding Thanksgiving weekend stay at JW Marriott Austin. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, we truly appreciated the last-minute suite upgrade, 4pm late checkout, and the courtesy of continued lounge access, which made traveling with family extremely comfortable. Special recognition to Kristian and Demir for their exceptional professionalism, proactive service, and genuine care. Their attention to detail and elite recognition made this stay stand out. They are true assets to the JW Marriott Austin team.
- MichaelG844 (2/5): Horrible Experience at the JW Marriott Austin - Our trip to Austin was for a several year planned father and adult son trip to COTA, the Circuit of Americas Race Track, for race car driving lessons as guests at the race track of Mercedes-Benz. The JW Marriott Austin is one of three hotels recommended by Mercedes. Briefly, our stay was horrendous. The stay went downhill beginning with our arrival - I booked two connecting rooms —- the arrogant and rude check-in individual first refused to honor the Bonvoy membership, telling us that the JW Marriott does not honor the membership program nor the American Express Platinum card program. He told us that he would make an exception and give us free WiFi. He continued to try to sell us up on rooms for more money, continually interrupting me when I tried to speak. All he wanted was more money. He never gave us any information or directions about the hotel. A manager apparently saw our experience and came over to us as we were looking for the elevators. She apologized and gave us some information about the hotel. This is too long — so one room key did not work; the keys were not programmed to get out of the garage so in the early AM we held up five (5) cars because no one answered the help button on the garage exit kiosk and I had to get out of the car and go back up to the lobby for help so we could all get out; we had drinks in the bar and upon exit the manager who we met earlier asked if she could comp us - she copied the receipt but we never got credit; came back from dinner and could not get into the garage - there was a car on the garage entrance ramp - parked by the valets and they had trouble finding the keys - help up many cars and valet service; so much more. Basically we never received the Bonvoy benefits and the curt and consenting attitude of the check-in individual contributed to my critical and negative stay and review.

- Seaside720286 (10/5): Highly recommend Four Points by the Airport - The hotel is modern, clean, nice comfortable lobby with a TV and fireplace. Our room, King size bed, was large with a well appointed bathroom and large shower with glass doors. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the manager helped me by providing a private space so I could get on a board meeting call (was at the hotel because of a cancelled flight during government shutdown). No noise issues at all. Very good value as well, and 5 minutes from the airport. Highly recommend it.

Luckily, we got last room thru hotel - Booking.com let us down: Our booking.com reservation was nowhere to be found in the Marriott system. Hence, there was nothing to cancel--and yet we were hit with a hefty cancellation fee (all of this under the aegis of booking.com); Marriott was honorable enough to nullify that fee. We had to start all over, directly through Marriott--and were lucky enough to get one of the last rooms available, at almost double the rate which we had obtained on booking.com. We salvaged our stay--which was excellent. A very nice hotel by every measure. We will no longer be using booking.com.

Would be nice to see more vegetarian options as well.
- Young (10/5): Everything was excellent except paying daily for the WiFi. That’s got to be the most insulting thing - The location was excellent. The layout off the hotel was great. I was there for a conference and it was a perfect place to have a conference. Paying for the WiFi is absolutely ridiculous.

- hindavi (10/5): Birthday celebration - The room and service was first class. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday in Austin and the young lady who checked us in, Carolina, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!
- jackkT9850UY (10/5): One of the best hotels in Austin - Amazing premium hotel in downtown Austin. Great location and staff. Booked the corner suite high floor and had amazing views of the city. Was helped out by front desk concierge Demir. Made the stay amazing.

Good location downtown Demir was particularly friendly and helpful welcoming me to my stay. Checkin was painless and quick. The food at the restaurants are excellent Beer is a little pricey View from the edge is very nice by the pool on the fifth floor and the work out facility offers a good assortment of equipment including 3 peleton bikes Overall great experience

- MarkP115 (10/5): Very Nice Hotel - This is a modern and very nice hotel in the heart of downtown. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed, with plenty of outlets and a good wifi signal. The public areas are attractive, and I found the level of service to be consistently high. I would certainly stay again on a future trip.
- 994alang (10/5): Beautiful place, outstanding service - Our first stay at this property. It is modern, huge and all of its spaces are designed to emphasize an open feeling. The room was well furnished and clean. Ate at Deans Italian Steakhouse and it was very good. The location is downtown Austin and everything is reachable , either walking or Uber. The most impressive aspect of our stay was the friendly, helpful and efficient staff; valets, bell people, desk clerks and wait staff were all outstanding. We travel frequently and outside of a few experiences in Canada, we have not been as impressed.

- tradi_travel (8/5): Didn't realize it was... - ...ACL Music Festival weekend and this was a busy place! Very nice lobby bar area and our room, albeit cozy, was clean and comfortable. No noise issues from other rooms or the streets. No firm pillows ;( What they brought us on request were no better than the ones already there. Booked direct w/ Marriott.com, but check-in staff struggled with their 10 year anniversary rate package that I had. They didn't understand (or couldn't find) the 50% parking discount, and failed to mention the $25 destination fee (good for a food & beverage credit) until I brought it up. I addressed the parking discount the next day, and it was handled. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar while being served by a very nice, personable young man (he was from Savannah, GA I recall.) A short walk to the Bat Bridge, but that was disappointing - we were told later that spring & summer were much better times to witness the sunset flight. This was one of the reasons we chose this hotel / location. In hindsight, we would have been happier in Round Rock for $200 less. Oh well... Austin traffic is congested to say the least. Between the kids on e-scooters, road construction on I-35, and countless Waymo driverless cars, we were glad to reach Austin city limits in our car after we checked out...
- Craig (10/5): - Great hotel. It's like a small resort on a city block in downtown Austin. From the rooftop pool, to the extensive choices for dining, to the spa, you could spend a week here and almost never leave. Will definitely return.
- MOHAMED (10/5): Great 5 star hotel in downtown austin - Everything, the room, the facilities, the location, it's just perfect. I very much enjoyed the pool every single morning of my stay. But i think it's an expensive hotel, not that it's not worth it.. Nothing.

- slee2814 (6/5): Waiting for a room at Midnight to be cleaned? - We did not arrive until about 11:30 pm and we had to wait for a room until 12:00 am to get a room ready and it was not the special room that I reserved. They gave me a comparable room, but I reserved that special room for a reason. Needless to say I was disappointed, but we were tired so we accepted. Room was ok, but nothing special, but did have a good view.

- Karen (7/5): Good for adults - Great location, easy walk to restaurants and shopping. We chose the hotel for its rooftop pool but we didn’t use it because of the messy towels and empty drinks everywhere. It looked unclean and not family friendly.
