Guest Reviews
- Cindy (6/5): - It's okay, but probably wouldn't come back next time I'm in Naga city. We paid for early check-in and when we got to our room, it wasn't cleaned well and the bed wasn't made well, but we were so tired from our trip that we waited until the next day for them to clean the room (and my cleanfreak mom sanitized every surface already). The next day, the bed was made well and the floors noticeably cleaner. Free breakfast was ok, a little inconsistent (food was sometimes cold). Front desk was friendly and helpful, but any time we needed something that they couldn't give to us directly at the front desk, rarely got to our room. Ex. We asked for more towels and they said they'd bring it to our room. We probably asked 4 times during the trip and they gave extra towels once. Would not recommend unless you prioritize convenience (next to 7-Eleven, a korean convenience store, lcc, sm mall, and the bus terminal is judt across the street).
- Jessete (4/5): - Reception - very slow
- Michael (2/5): - I have actually travelled here before and it was fine. I drank because I felt it unfair that they spring on you that drinking is not allowed. The last time I booked it again and forgot this fact. I don’t know why they don’t allow drinking I just think it should be very obvious that you aren’t allowed from their thing on Expedia. It was about four in the morning I just got off a bus and I wanted to sleep, I wanted to have a couple drinks before that. I had to sign a paper agreeing that I wouldn’t drink or that I would be fined 2000 pesos. Don’t know how that’s any of their bussiness if I’m not causeing a problem. The lady showed the opposite of urgency to get us into our room. No one helped us with our bags. I diddnt drink the last time I went there because I was signing an agreement. I don’t think that agreement should be binding if they don’t have that info on Expedia. The people are nice enough, I was just quite grumpy and being an adult and having someone say they are gonna charge me a fine money for having a couple drinks in my own room. I’m hoping I can remember that is their policy and I won’t go there. Shame because it’s affordable enough and close to the bus stop so I would maybe go there again but I have a huge problem with that particular property and I was very unhappy with the sogo hotel that’s right next door last time so I suppose it’s nagaland. I reccomend nagaland for a weary traveller if you are looking for affordability
- jm (10/5): - Clean and it s near SM
- Christopher (10/5): - Breakfast was not very hot, served without salt and pepper.
- Rossano (10/5): - Water dirty
- Scott (2/5): Hotel.com are thieves. - Hotels.com are liars and thieves. The hotel was underwater from a flood. Hotel.com knew this and still booked my room. Neither hotel.com, nor the hotel itself will give a refund on a room that was under water when booked.
- Koloseta (8/5): Good location - Worth what we paid. Clean. Safe. Free breakfast and shuttle to the airport. Handy location walking distance to Bus terminal and SM Mall.
- Daniel (10/5): - Nice clean and quite
- Edgardo (8/5): - Like the way breakfast is prepared with many choices. Also, the renovated toilets
- Daisy (10/5): - Enjoyed our Stay during Peñafrancia! Accesible and convenient. Already booked for the upcoming year
- stephen (8/5): - For the price excellent
- Dennis (10/5): Great stay and great price. - The hotel is right across the street from the bus terminal. It was a very short walk. Our departure bus was late evening and we paid 500 pesos to remain in room until 5 pm. Then they were nice enough to keep our bags 2 more hours. The staff was helpful and polite. Response to our needs was almost instant.
- wanderare (6/5): So So - Location wise - veerrry accessible. Place is clean. We had a free breakfast. Food taste 3 / 5, not too good not too bad. Our experience are so-so. You get what you pay for. We chose the deluxe room but don't expect too much if you want something like a hotel.
- NOLASCO (6/5): - The air conditioning is barely working and not cooling the small room I checked in.
I have to ask the staff to give me extra door badge to keep the A/C running if I’m out otherwise the room will always be hot when you come back for quick groceries or errands.
Room is small. Bed, linens and pillow is okay.
Area is safe. Conveniently located across the SM Naga.
There’s 7-11 that is nearby as well as different restaurants.
This is the typical you get what you paid for. For 2,000 pesos a day or $35 dollars you can’t really ask for anything else.
- Kelly (8/5): - Good place to stay near the main bus terminal.
- Trip61774158362 (10/5): Best Hotel in Naga City - Hotel staff are kind and hospitable. Wifi is okay. Breakfast is great. The room is clean, very modern and comfortable to stay. The rates are budget friendly. Frontdesk and room service is available 24/7. Great location - near malls, hospitals, schools and bus terminal.
- Mark (8/5): Decent - Good place for the price
- Daniel (10/5): - This is a very affordable hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very helpful. Even though their system didn't have my reservation from Expedia they worked with me and found the reservation after a while. The first room I stayed in had a wonderful hot shower. The second room the hot water was very hard to get to work and would cut off randomly. The AC in the first room worked wonderfully but the second room the AC unit was old and tired. It did cool down the room eventually but it really needs to be retired and replaced. The shower area and bathroom was absolutely wonderful. However the second room the shower divider leaked and I would always have a pool of water on the floor of the main bathroom area after a shower.
One tip I can give. The big rain shower heads are nice however they clog with hard water and minerals. You really need to clean these for them to function correctly. Both the first room and the second room had shower heads that didn't function correctly due to some of the holes being clogged.
The free breakfast was a bit disappointing but it was free and it was food. I really wish they would give you a bigger cup of coffee.
The free airport shuttle is awesome. This makes the hotel worth it if nothing else.
Also this hotel's location makes it well worth it. You are within walking distance of the 2 malls. Lots of street vendors and tricycles are always waiting to take you to further destinations at a good rate.
- Vivian (10/5): Recommended for no frills traveler - We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The hotel and room are clean, the staff is nice and courteous and the breakfast is good. The location is perfect for bus travelers like us since it's right across the Bicol Central Terminal.
- GIOVANNI (10/5): Nice place to stay - Its my first time to visit Naga and its nice to be at a hotel near to malls and bus terminals. I like everything except for late check in time which is 3pm and no free drinking water.
- Renila (8/5): - Very good
- Donald (8/5): - It’s a good hotel, but could use a stricter cleaning policy. I have used this hotel multiple times and it’s pretty consistent. The plumbing to the rooms does not include hot water, as many hotels in Philippines. It’s probably the best you will find at a bargain price.
- Princessa (8/5): - Great experience
- JOHN JOSEPH (10/5): - One of the most valuable hotel rooms in Naga City The service is also good
- Iris (6/5): - The bathroom floor of Room 232 was flooded with water even if the shower is not being used. I had to be transferred to Room 233 which has the same problem.
- patrick (8/5): - it was a nice place to stay
- europeeisk (2/5): I gave them a second change - After 2,5 years I'm back. Its cleaner but the standard is even lower, nothing is working, The beds are terrible and outdated, the tv has one channel, the bathroom is leaking. The sad thing is that 3 stars hotel in Naga City is very low standard but stay away.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not so good - No towels, slippers, and even laundry bag. Still have to ask the front desk (very helpful). Listed as “deluxe” room but not quite deluxe-y feel.
- Maps23486813367 (8/5): Better than some. Good value - Easy check in. Free breakfast was worth what we paid for it.
Warm shower stayed warm even if you wanted hot. Mouse 🐁 in the cafeteria.
Room was pretty clean and bed was comfortable. No towels, soap, shampoo. Called front desk, brought them right up. No hair dryer available.
Overall, comfortable stay. 3 rooms 5 guests, nice staff, accommodating
- NinoLeeZhongPing (8/5): The CBD Plaza Hotel - Had a few days in the city of Naga, where all pink blooms begin. The hotel is one of those conveniently located at the bus terminal and near the new part of the city. If your a tourist going to the old part is a distance by walk, the next best is a trike or vehicle.
Rooms are ok cable TV has limited channels. The bathroom needs more work done. During my stay the basin was clogged up due to other guest disposing their food, the issue was quickly resolved by the management.
Food at the café below is worth the price, it keeps your belly full till you reach the city for other, gastronomical options.
The staff are great and friendly. No problems on this department. Would I still stay here in my future visits. Yes, but will try other, hotels in the city too. #RP
- Karen (6/5): - Be sure to get your breakfast before 9am or else you will get hungry because rice meals are forfeited afted 9am..😩
- Teofilita (10/5): - Nice
- degeaux (8/5): - I was glad that the hotel is within central district. Its near SM and Robinsons and most of all, the Bus Terminal. The room was neat and clean sans bathroom towels. The breakfast was good and the staff very efficient. It was a very quick check in and out. i would highly recommend this hotel.
- So (4/5): - Close to place we needed to be regularly but the hallways and rooms smell moldy. The first room we were in the ceiling have stains of leaky water from top floor and there was water on the floor. They did change our room after we complained.
- Espie (10/5): - I can't say nothing I stayed for a short period of time. All good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like the location of the property. It’s near the church, shopping center and restaurants.
- Savytraveller6789 (4/5): Low price but also low standard - Great location, friendly staff and good service but the rooms are dirty and the beds are outdated. The comfort room in the reception was also very dirty This could have been a great deal if they have been more hygenic and change the overused madrasses.
- eduard (4/5): - The room smells really bad, smells cigarettes even it is a non smoking room,no TV remote,we have to ask several times, the parking is not enough for the guests, very hard to get spot.I will not stay in this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff are friendly and accommodating. Definitely will book again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Shows good photos on the web, actual property doe snt look that nice.
- DraftedbytheMan (2/5): No Consideration For Disasters - We had to cancel CBD Naga due to Typhoon Tisoy. Yet we’re still charged for two nights even though hotel sold out December 3, 2019. Greedy and heartless.
Are we supposed to risk our lives to go there? Awful!
- ChozyChe (8/5): - Accessible to Malls☺️
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Honestly, our first room had a lot of flaws which normally would leAd me to rate it 1/5. But, the customer service compensated for it. Very great staff! They promptly responded to each of my requests. I complained about ants on the wall and someone immediately resolved it. Next, i informed them that the AC wasn’t working and they promptly transferred us to another room. I was completely satisfied! Not to mention the free airport shuttle and free breakfast. Really worth the money i paid. Highly recommended!
- Josie (4/5): - The location is perfect. Near bus terminal , near SM and near stores with food.
Our office booked 2 rooms through the internet and paid for already. The front desk just gave us one room when we arrived. Not paying attention to the transmittal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Shopping mall and bus terminal was just a stone away😊
- vonchielo (10/5): - clean & affordable
- BuffetLover57 (6/5): Naga break - Small hotel in the heart of Naga city, accessible to SM Naga mall. Across from the Bus transport terminal, and a few minutes away from the transport vans that bring you to neighboring towns and cities. Does not have many amenities, but enough for a comfortable rest for the night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - On 18Apr, I requested a booking for 23 Apr online. However, I was charged for a booking on 19 Apr w/c I could not possibly make it.... When i called the attention of CBD of the erroneous charges, no help came.
- assettessa (4/5): Broken window lock - Room 224 was assigned to us. We normally don’t check windows after we settle in, but good thing we did. Room is on 2nd floor and window view is just right on top of lobby roof. It didn’t feel secure to stay in this hotel. Hope this get fixed. We requested to be transferred to another room and it was granted. However, rooms are not really clean. I took a video but I can only upload photos. Took screenshots from the video but I cannot select screenshots to upload. 🤷🏻♀️
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I didn't like the breakfast
The room wasn't what i expected to be shown on advert.
- Ray Andrew (8/5): Good for a short trip. - Nice room, but breakfast not so.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The small beds in triple room accommodations & what i thought its a queen bed or 1 king & 1 twin ... it come out 3 twin beds.
- bnc2015 (6/5): No frills hotel - I have been to Naga countless of times and i have always stayed in CBD plaza hotel save for that one time. CBD is definitely not a boutique hotel. The rooms are not as fragrant. No comforter or duvet. Breakfast is plated and something that a lazy mom would prepare for her kids. In short, this place is basic. Nonetheless, if you don’t care for luxury and are just in Naga for a business trip like I always am, this will do. Right across is a bus stop where cheap Naga pasalubongs (gifts for family and friends) are sold. SM Naga is just a tumbling away too. Not that it is something to look forward to, but a mall comes in handy when you just forget to bring an extra shirt or your toiletries. CBD is highly strategic being quite near to everything including the famous street for night life. Likewise, it promises a shuttle to the airport. This is not necessary, but definitely an advantage. Often, I feel I might be missing on the good hotels in Naga by not venturing out, but for 25-27 USD a night, who am I to complain. I’ve been virtually all over the Philippines and hotels in the provinces can be very tricky. For a no frills place to stay in Naga, CBD should do the trick.
- BigBoyBerto (8/5): Good Hotel Between Average and Very Good - Since I am a PWD I would write this review basing on a PWD's perspective.
PROS:
- check in was a breeze the front office staff were courteous and accommodating.
- There was a working elevator (thank God)
- there was an access for PWDs
- The comfort rooms were PWD friendly (except there were no handles for PWDs)
- The Bed was clean and mattress was very good for me since I have a back problem the bed was stiff which is a good thing.
- The room was a little spacious.
- There was a nearby 7-11 so if you get hungry during the night you can just go down and eat.
The only CON for me was there pricing for the upcoming Peñafrancia Fiesta.
I inquired with them the rate of the family suite with 6 beds. They said that the regular rate is 4500 I think. But for the upcoming Fiesta the rate will be 16k.
- 859alfiem (4/5): Disappointment - We stayed here for three nights with our friends as we have stayed in this place multiple times before. The check in was a breeze however we were disappointed that they were renovating and they assigned us a room on the wing being renovated. It was awkward to pass through the workers bustlin and hustin and doing their hammerworks and carpentry. Not to mention that the strong paint smell was all over the place.
One of the room assigned was on the finished wing and the improvement from how it was before was visible. I just wish that the bathroom is more lit and that there are shelves to put your toiletries in. The place is great if you’re mostly out and you just need a place to sleep and leave your stuff in. Do not expect much.
I might stay again here in the future as I love the location but not again if pricing becomes competitive for other better options.
- Cinds (8/5): Nice hotel close to the mall - Perfect for an overnight stay since its near mall and they provide free airport transfer.
- dimaculangana (4/5): For Big Family Trips - If you and your family are traveling to Naga, CBD is a good and comfortable place to stay in..It is conveniently located at the center of the city... walking distance from SM,shopping stalls, and market... The hotel itself may rated as 3 stars, but for the price, it is the best deal...of course, extras like toiletries are ordinary and minimal but good enough for basic travelers..the staff are friendly and accommodating.....free breakfast for all....food is hot, although not so much variety..again, it's good enough for the price....best place to stay in for a budget traveller's family... go! go! go!
- Lanie (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Thanks
- Jen (8/5): Comfy Stay - Hotel is in a good location as it's in front of terminal and walking distance to SM Naga. Rooms are clean and spacious. Water flow though is poor. Strong Wi-Fi.
- Bicolano (2/5): Inconsistent Facilities - We booked a room using expedia and it was "ok". Then we check out and needed to check in again because our bus was rescheduled. The room that they gave to us is horrible. See the photos.
A hotel should have consistent look and feel for every unit. They should not make a FEW units OK then MOST units as horrible as the one we got.
- LeavingHolland (8/5): I wish there was something between average and very good, for that is where this hotel is. - It is a good hotel. Not average, but also not very good. it is regular. Noisy and breakfast is terrible and served in very dirty table clothes.
But, the rooms are very clean, beds sleep very good and the location is great. Opposite of the busstation, supermarket on the ground floor and Shopping Malls close by.
Internet is reasonable and available int he rooms.
Would I stay there again? Sure, it was okay. But is it is fully booked I will not shed a tear and book another hotel.
- Monina (6/5): in the city and close to the Penafrancia Basilica - the location is good for the city and close enough to the airport.
the facilities are basic but functional.
they gave a complimentary breakfast and airport transfer, good value for money.
I will stay again if I need a place in Naga.
- Nigelle (8/5): Good hotel for a night - good hotel. Very accessible. Just a bit noisy since it is under renovation. Looking forward to see the renovated rooms soon.
just need to improve the toilet condition
- Richard (2/5): Nightmare - Bed had no mattress only box springs. Shower would still have water standing in it 30 minutes after you showered. Not even a chair to set on. Construction going on. Rooms very small
- trishysalvador (4/5): Experienced the Worst Customer Service - Stayed here for two days for official business. And it is true that you get what you pay for, but the customer service was REALLY BAD. Front desk officers weren't polite and every question/favor you asked were addressed with a heavy heart.
Our room(deluxe, good for 3)'s aircondition was broken and we asked for assistance before we left the hotel (morning) for our meeting. We got back at around 5pm, but to our dismay, our request for assistance hasn't been addressed! We were given an electric fan and had to wait for another hour before the aircondition unit was replaced.
Talk about customer service, eh?
- janice (6/5): - Breakfast is so disappointing. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels with better breakfast offers.
- Reshnee (10/5): Will come back soon.... - I love my stay there... will be back soon since my son wanted to go there too....
- Chen (8/5): Nice choice! - Location is very accesible. Room was clean, and the staff was good. Got no issues with wifi connection. It was a nice choice!
- herriec2016 (8/5): Nice choice! - The hotel's location is very accesible. A walking distance to SM mall, terminal station, and other establishment. Room was clean, the staff was nice. Though, renovation was on-going during my stay, so expect unpleasant noise in the morning, but I was advised prior to that, so can't complain much about it. It was a nice choice.
- EdmundS113 (6/5): If your flight is canceled... - this is a relatively good property.
Con - old and dated. To be fair, renovation was on going when I stayed.
Pro - Comes with basic breakfast (but pay for take-out box if your flight is really early inthe morning) and free airport shuttle.
- jessimariep (6/5): Location is good - What I liked about this hotel is the location…It’s just in front of the central bus terminal and walking distance to the mall, restaurants and shops…It also have a small cafe in the lobby…It’s certainly a good hotel where you can almost find everything nearby…Overall this hotel is better than the others.I will be back sometime.
- Serdmelen (4/5): You get what you pay for - Okay let me start with the PROs
Location: CBD is located in front of Bicol Bus Station. One of the best things about this hotel; it is also very close to SM Naga. There's a 711 convenience store in the building.
Shuttle service service from the hotel to airport is free.
CONs:
Room: My company got me the Queen Delux: The room doesnt have a refrigerator, no safe.
Beddings and Bed: it looks like the Queen Deluxe rooms dont have Queen Size beds kinda small for a queen.
Toilet and Bath: need to be enhanced big time, very outdated, dirty and the water that is coming out from the faucet has a stinky smell.
Breakfast: not buffet; super limited choices i stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and believe me i have memorized the choices. No fruits and all.
Despite of all the cons, if you want an overnight space go for it but not more that. You go to Avenue or Caceres.
- yel4 (8/5): Great Location - CBD Plaza Hotel is in front of the bus terminal. Very convenient if you are going to Caramoan (4 hours from Naga) at dawn. As I have said, it is directly in front of the bus terminal, just have to cross the street. Also a walking distance to SM City. Plus they provide a free transfer to the airport. Breakfast is so-so, bathroom needs more attention.
