Beds comfortable

- Robert (10/5): - My stay was great
- Suzanne (8/5): - The bathmat was dirty-looking and unsanitary. Couldn't even use the shower/tub. There is no bedside table lamp so it's either totally dark or the overhead lights have to be on. No safety lock on the door. No place to set toiletries in the bathroom. Coffee was tasty.

- Lisa (2/5): - When we first got there, our room wasn’t ready. We had to sit outside and wait for an half hour then the girls were vacuuming after they left there were Cheerios on the floor and the rug was filthy so I will never never be back there again, and I definitely will not recommend it to anyone. I will be writing a post about it on Facebook
- Norman (6/5): -
Bathroom needed a deep clean
- Lisa (6/5): - Convenient to walk to the beach.
- Summer (10/5): - Great location, clean room!
- Carla (8/5): - The check in process at the sister motel across the street was easy. The room was bright and clean. The area was convenient to the beach. One issue was the bright spotlight on the upper porch Eve shined directly into the window of our room and the privacy/darkening curtains were too small to cover the entire window so the room was quite bright at night.
- leo (8/5): - The property is old and dated but clean, within walking distance to everything We had a fun weekend Make sure to visit The Goat and Travern on J Street
- Jill (10/5): - Staff was very friendly, rooms are a bit outdated but very clean and the beds are super comfy. Our room had a porcelain tub which was kind of slippery when showering. Overall, a great experience and would go there again
- Matthew J. (10/5): - Everything was great tides motel is the best in hampton beach
- Russell (8/5): - The Tides is a great location for walking to the ocean. It is not a new facility and some funkiness to it but the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. I will go back.

- debbie (10/5): - Very quiet and comfortable
- william (8/5): - Clean room
- Edward (8/5): - Easy
- Teri (6/5): - Price was good, location good, slept alright on bed. No side lamps only overhead lights. Window broken in room had to stuff a pillow in the window to keep out the draft from the 50 degree weather. Wouldve given higher score if wasn't for window.
- Sandra (8/5): - It’s ok
- Scott (10/5): - Easy check in. Very clean room comfortable.
- Teresa (10/5): - The room was very clean and bed super comfy. Our heater in our unit was not working the Office staff responded immediately and offered to move us to another unit, We asked for a space heater and we had one within 5 min. worked out great. Staff were amazing and helpful. The Hotel is 2 min from the beach with all the Stores, Restaurants and Bars. Just park and have no worries everything is within fingertip reach. I will definitely be going back I cannot wait.
- Sandy (10/5): - Need new towels
- KELLY (10/5): - Only issue was the coffee pot didn’t work.
- Gina (10/5): - Very happy with stay
- Amber (10/5): - Would recommend 😊
- Teresa (10/5): - It was very comfortable and a great location.
- Nancy (8/5): - room was very clean, parking was free, towels were thin
- Robert (6/5): - Typical Hampton beach dated motel. In need of updates throughout. Motel is in a great location. Just a couple of minutes to strip and beach.
- Penny (10/5): Nice stay - Easy check in, friendly staff.
- Emerson (4/5): - Dirty, dark and smell is terrible.
- Jean (10/5): - It was very clean, comfortable, and we loved the bed.
- Elisha (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Very clean updated room on the first floor. The room was just ready at check in time but the front desk clerk allowed us to park two hours early so we could enjoy the day at the beach. We could hear the people above us walking during the night.
- Keith (10/5): - Very clean and well maintained facility. Front desk and room keepers were very welcoming.
- Gloria (6/5): - It seems too expensive for the service
But it is A OK motel
I did not like the bathroom
It needs an update plus the water was not draining well
We got our room earlier than expected
I will come back there if I get a better price
- Stéphane (10/5): - good motel for a quiet and clean vacation but with a touch of the past
- Michael (10/5): - big clean room. Nice, friendly staff. Parking on property. Close to the beach. Would recommend the Tides defiantly.
- Louis (10/5): - Very easy to Deal with will be going back to stay..
- john (10/5): - Great location. Super friendly staff. Would recommend
- Beverly (8/5): - Great location, a block from the beach. No frills but clean and reasonable
- Russell (8/5): - The Tides is an older place , the staff work to keep up clean . There was no vent in my bathroom and I had no hot water one night because the boiler went out. I left a note at the desk and the clerk was at my door 15 minutes later to explain what happened and apologized. I like the place overall, parking can be a bit of a free-for-all as there is one parking spot per room. It is an easy walk to the beach. Ashworth Av is busy on the weekends so there is a good bit of road noise . The Tides is not a party spot, more family oriented and quieter. I will book there again in the future.
- Edgar R (10/5): - Was really good and nice that place that only thing that space parking are to small but was ok and nice everything thanks
- LINES (10/5): Tides Hotel - I always enjoy staying here. Bed is super comfortable. Was clean. So close to the beach and everything else
- omzig28 (10/5): Affordable and clean! - Very comfortable beds and friendly staff. Not the fanciest place, but clean, close to the beach and very accommodating! We will definitely stay here again with how affordable it is. My daughter and her friend enjoyed hanging out on the balcony and we never had to drive because we were so close!
- April (8/5): - Clean but could use some upgrades. Close proximity to beach and welcoming / friendly staff.
- Ann (2/5): - The room was full of ants and the floor was dirty
- Amanda M (8/5): - the staff was very friendly and the one was nice never refrigerator was obviously very old it is than that it was nice for the age of it
- jd4795 (10/5): Hampton down home friendly, great rooms. - I also went in mid May, and i don't write reviews much any more, just went back this weekend for a Thur/Fri stay for 2 shows, and decided to add a day for who ever was playing on Juneteenth, which was a great choice. The manager and staff is sooooo great, the rooms are very clean, not a ton of amenities, but i bet you're not expecting those. We were all over the place for 3 days and people taking care of the room found us each day, once finding me walking back to the hotel for 30m....you want to leave cash in these rooms, they are so great.
I choose the rating based on the stars of the hotel, fwiw....please take my 5 and i hope you also have a great weekend.
- Steven (10/5): - Good Place and Price - Always love Hampton Beach
- Sharron (8/5): - I didn’t like the check out time. And having to make your own coffee in the morning which doesn’t taste very good… Other than that… I would recommend Tides to friends.
- Lora (10/5): - As always, super clean and super friendly staff
- douglas (10/5): - Clean, hot water and good pressure.
Perfect after a day on the beach.
Stay away from sea catch restaurant.. overrated and over price.
- Crystal (10/5): - Room was clean. Very close to the beach.
- Yvonne (10/5): - Ten houses from the beach. Alot cheaper than the hotels on the beach.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Front desk was friendly. Just what we needed. The bed was so comfy!
- Cory (8/5): - Place was super clean and I would have eaten off the floors. I didn’t see any luxury or national chain hotels anywhere near this place, so this place is as good as it gets. The property was fine and the place was clean, it’s just and old motel in an old beach town.
- Joseph (10/5): - They were really great. I had to change the date to the following weekend. They changed the date no problem. There were two big events in the area on the weekend that i had to change to .
- Jerry (6/5): - Friendly but needs remodeling
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great property. Perfect location
- Judy (6/5): - Room was clean, but dated. Kitchen area was appreciated but had no supplies at all - not even cups to use with the Keurig or tissues. The freezer/refrigerator and microwave were nice to have. Inexpensive cost to stay includes inexpensive towels & pillows. Clientele were quite noisy on porch directly outside our room and heavy smokers. This isn’t the motel’s fault, we know.
- Danielle (6/5): Don't waste your money here 😐 - Came to Hampton for a concert at the casino ballroom, just stayed the 1 night. Bed was a king, super comfy ☺️. The room however had a funky odor, wasn't clean, stains on the carpet and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Don't think they've cleaned a single corner of that room. Hair dryer was on the wall, but the electrical outlet didn't work. Definitely NOT worth the $184.00 for one night. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Super disappointed ☹️
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location Nice clean room
- Lora (10/5): - Staff were wonderful. Room was amazing, clean - beds comfortable. Having coffee in the a.m. was a bonus.
- Jim (4/5): - Excellent location, Bed was comfortable and clean. Parking is quite tight. Located on a busy and at times loud street. Building needs total renovation, typical of a beach town old motel. Owners and family are extremely friendly.
- Catherine (6/5): - Close to the beach. Room was dirty, badly needs renovations. Very noisy around and upstairs.
- Susan (8/5): - Check in was smooth, parking convenient, comfortable beds. The floor did not look dirty but walking barefoot it was somewhat gritty. Needed an extra washing.
- Kathy (10/5): - Very quick check in, staff very friendly and the room was spotless. Would definitely stay again. Within walking distance to everything.
- Diane (8/5): - it was well kept
- Shirley (8/5): - No veiw. Everything else was good.
- Jon (10/5): - We really enjoyed the property for it’s convenience and proximity to area attractions.
- Carol (6/5): - The location was good. Humidity in room even with AC
Parking is tight. NEEDS night beside tables ! Plug behind bed difficult to get too.
Staff friendly and helpful. A little pricey .
- Joell (6/5): - Very basic. 2 storey walk up. Clean. Quiet. Staff very helpful. Within walking distance to everything
- Christine (10/5): - The owners are so kind and accommodating We have been coming here for a few years and each year there are new updates. There is a little grocery store right across the street an the hotel is only one street away from the ocean, dinning and shopping. There are also plenty of dining options right on the same street as the hotel.
- Daniel (10/5): - Great price and location. Very clean nice room.
- Sgengul (10/5): Super clean updated stay. - Extremely clean room the beds were very comfortable and ice cold air. So close to the boardwalk. I hate walking especially in the extreme heat but it's so close that it wasn't an issue at all.do not believe any bad reviews my room was updated.will definitelystay again. .room 5 is really nice one bad thing no ice machine you can buy a bag for 5 dollars...
- Talita (6/5): It’s alright - I loved the location. What I didn’t love was that the fridge was broken. I told them about it. They replaced it. But the replacement was also broken. The struggle was real. Lol.
Bathroom was nice. AC amazing.
The bed was comfy.
Just wished that I got something since both fridge did not work. Wasn’t cheap there. Not expecting luxury but a working fridge would have been nice.
- TAO (10/5): - Good location
- L6664SBcrystall (2/5): Unfortunate discrimination against veteran with service dog - I had to put some time in between what took place and my review of Tides Motel. I booked a room and with reservations sent a message letting staff know we would have a service dog accompanying us to avoid any issues. I checked in with ease no questions. We left and attended a concert and upon returning to our room we did not have lights. I called the number provided on their office door for after hours and they said they would send someone over. We kept the door ajar because we could not see and their staff entered the room and Pearl barked alerting Corey. He fixed our light by pressing a button behind the bureau. Nothing further was said. Checkout time was 10:30 am. Around 10 am we were approached that there was an issue with the dog. Unfortunately being new to this discrimination, words were exchanged by both parties. Being accused of having a “service dog” struck a nerve. The ignorance of a business owner on the laws of service animals was disappointing. After repeatedly being called names by the staff and trying to “prove” her certification we decided to leave. The complaint was the dog barked. Yes she did. She was alerting her owner someone had entered the dark room “our space”. Sadly this business chose to stay ignorant and continue to question the validity of a service animal for a 22 year veteran with several disabilities to include hearing loss in which the dog is trained to alert its owner by BARKING. As we have learned how to approach this discrimination in the future , I hope the business will educate themselves on the law regarding service animals and basic customer service.
1. A business is allowed to ask if a the dog is a Service animal.
2. The business may ask what services that the Service Dog provides.
3. There is no certification that has to be shown.
- mayp301 (4/5): Spoiled food - We were put in a room in the corner adjacent to an apparent “run down -unused room” with aBoarded broken door. Awful smell immediately entering room , no power - called desk were told to reset outlet switch behind dresser.. fridge did not get even slightly cold- all out food was wasted. Carpet was disgusting , probably the source of odor. Bedding was clean, bathroom clean, shower with great pressure and warm, kurig in room. Sand all over dresser that also housed microwave. Loud, Rowdy guests up til 3am but as expected at the beach given location wasn’t nearly an issue as the actual room. Will not be staying again.
- Donald (8/5): - Clean and comfortable room. Friendly service. Location is just one block off of the boardwalk so the location is very noisy. Noisy A/C helped block out the late night noise.
- Michael (8/5): - Room was very clean and the staff was very personable
- Darlene (8/5): Last minute getaway - My husband and I arrived hours before 3:00 check-in and stopped in at the Office to ask about leaving our car while we spent the afternoon at the beach. The gentleman working the desk couldn’t have been any nicer. He told us to park anywhere and even offered to call us as soon as our room was ready. The room was a pleasant surprise. Roomy, clean and updated, with newer bedding, flooring and air conditioner.
