Cliff in particular was more than happy to answer any questions and provided some excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The hotel its self is full of character and each room has a different theme, all very tastefully done. The breakfast was delicious and we were thoroughly looked after. There are 6 good sized parking bays at the front of the property and we were able to leave our car there for the duration of our stay. We'd not visited Southport before and we really enjoyed our weekend break.

- Manuela (7/5): well worth the stay - quiet with comfy beds! - Excellent little family-run B&B, small but perfectly made. the location is quiet but central and only 10 10-minute walk from the train station. There are plenty of food options (coffee shop/restaurants) and a Sainsbury's within 5 minutes' walk if you want to pick up a snack. I had a tiny but lovely room, which was spotless and had plenty of hot water. the bed was so comfortable I had some trouble leaving the comfort of the room to brave the rain and wind. The cooked breakfast was made fresh to order and Cliff (the manager) was very friendly and helpful the stairs- I have mobility issues, and there were quite a few steps to go through. But it's my fault, I did not inform the hotel of my needs in advance. Cliff kindly carried my bag and helped me when needed, so it was ok for one night

I stayed in room 10, a large lovely room, bed is a superior king-size & so comfy, the best bed I have ever slept in. This is now the second time I have stayed here & will definitely be back. Breakfast is really good, lots of choice, full English yesterday & freshly made pancakes with banana, blueberries & strawberries drizzled with maple syrup, delicious.

As a recent widow, I really appreciated his advise as I'm not familiar with Southport at night. The bar sadly isn't open, although it wasn't a big issue it would have been nice to just grab a drink before venturing out. Saying that, the owner did apologise and offered me a glass of wine from their own use, again a lovely gesture from the owners
