Guest Reviews
- ruth (8/5): - It was clean with nice pool, had a balcony. Was a bit expensive.
- Ashley (10/5): 5 star stay! - Loved this play. We had a 2 bedroom + 1den, 2 bath condo. Extremely well equipped kitchen with very comfortable amenities: keurig, brita, kettle, all the utensils, plates, cups, etc. Wifi was very strong and the location is great. Really nice TV with cable. Very large, comfortable space and quiet but central location.
- Sakone (10/5): Nice home! - Comfy and home like stay. Spacious and will defined stay again.
- Rick (8/5): - The place was a little small but updated. We just got there about 10pm and the neighbor next door within 5 minutes knocked on our door and told us there was a 10 pm curfew and keep the noise down. That was kind of a bummer, because we weren't even being loud. But we felt we had to walk on egg shells the remainder of the trip. Besides that the skiing was great!!
- Dean (8/5): - Not that it matter but the picture is not the place that we stayed in. Nice place, clean comfortable. Couldnt get fireplace to light, followed instructions several times then gave up. Needed a check out email or letter in the condo to tell us how to leave the property, key return, trash, linens etc. Overall a great stay though.
- Chetna (10/5): - The numbers sign on the wall, they look like graffiti to me. Should be replaced with a better color and numbers.
- Cynthia (10/5): THANK YOU!!!! - Joana was amazing!!! she was very nice and accomodating!!! made our first family vacation perfect!!! we loved it and everything was PERFECT
- Michael (6/5): Maybe not, next time! - Was asked by the neighbors to turn the TV down when the TV was below 20-volume! Obviously the neighbor is accustomed to asking people to be quiet for him, as he had no fear being a jerk about it!
- Vicky (10/5): Great location. - Came up for the Mono Lake Birding Festival. This condo was wonderful, roomy, and great to have a kitchen to toast a bagel at 5am before I went to meet the birding group at 6am in Lee Vining. Great location, so pretty with the snow-capped mountains outside out patio in the condo. I went for a walk every night from our condo. The creek was a rushing river and it was just awesome as long as you had your mosquito repellent on. Mammoth is wonderful during the Spring. Great place for families, or birders. Only problem we had was the shower was ridiculously hot sometimes and you could not get cool water. Only sometimes.
- Vikki A (6/5): Renovations and Uodates Needed - This condo needs some updates - it was built for someone who is 5 feet tall or shorter. The beds were very uncomfortable.
- William T. (10/5): Great proximity to Canyon Lodge - As the title says, if skiing/snowboarding is on your agenda (as it was for us) this place is great. You can almost walk to Canyon Lodge (it is uphill, but still makes for a very quick drive), or there is a shuttle stop at the entrance to the complex.
Rooms were spacious, lots of cookware in the kitchen, and a cabinet full of blankets! So many blankets! If I had to leave one critique, it’d be that the shower is somewhat short so anyone over 5’ 10” or so will have to duck, but that’s about it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I think they gave us the wrong property. There was only one bed and a fold out couch. It was studio loft. I reserved a two bedroom.
- Ruben (4/5): - did not like location to far away from all the restaurants all all the things to do, also no maid sevices.
- Krish (10/5): - Spacious and fully furnished home close to lakes
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The only complain is the sofa has little dog hair and the bed make noice
- mariano (10/5): - Great experience, more than what I expected !
- Michelle (6/5): - This condo definitely needs TLC. It was very basic. It needs updating. If nothing else replace the beds!!!
- Brett Nicole (8/5): Good location for skiing and amenities - The place was walking distance (albeit uphill) to the Canyons for skiing. It had a full kitchen, which was nice so we were able to cook in both nights we stayed. And a nice a hot tub. Bed wasn't the most comfortable and a little outdated but clean and had everything we needed.
The only negatives are: (1) check-in procedure was not clear--if you check in after hours you have to head to main lodge to get your key; and (2) TV's didn't work--on the plus side they sent their maintenance man to look at it right away but he couldn't fix it since it was the cable box.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic Mammoth hideaway - After booking on hotels.com, make sure you call Mammoth Mountain Reservations if you will have a late check in. They will leave keys and checkin paperwork in a box at their office.
The condo was fantastic! I wish we had more time to stay. There was a full kitchen and fireplace with fresh pile of wood to make a cozy fire. The hot tub and dry sauna were open until 10pm which was perfect to relax our muscles after snowboarding all day. Laundry on site and a game room too. Perfect for a weekend (or longer) get away!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We realy like the place unfurtunally our unit was next to a unit under construction a couple of afternooms we couldn’t take a siesta and the bath fan need it some work it was too noize.
That’s whole of the inconvenient, in the other hand the place was very clean, confortable, plenty space , we will stay again
- Carolyn (6/5): unhappy - door not working, dusty. washer /dyer is not available
- Mikey (10/5): Quiet second-floor condo unit. - Would not hesitate to book this unit again. Very nice set-up on second floor level. Used for fishing vacation, so did not use unit much. Has own washer and dryer.
- Pete (8/5): Vacationiing @ Yosemite - Was an excellent condominium and we had a comfortable stay with our two teenage children. We were happy with our stay at Discovery.
- Charles (8/5): - Check in was great , room was good ,we were there just to sleep, if a kitchen is needed would be a great place to stay. 2 drawbacks, the WiFi did not work in the building I was in and the pillows were not so great. Good location overall.
- Ro (10/5): Perfect for us. - It was about 1 mile from The Bluesapolooza Festival that we attended. It was uphill to get back to the hotel, but we really enjoyed the walk. Extremely comfortable. Very Nice Place. Wonderful weekend.
- Noel (8/5): Good Value - There were many good things about this Condo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and very enjoyable for the whole family. The Condo was easy to get too and close to the ski runs. There are a few things that could be improved. when we first arrived the Condo was very musty and old smelling. After opening the windows it was much fresher. Our bed was like sleeping on a rock. (next time we'll ask for a condo with softer beds). Overall we were quite happy though and would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small inadequate condo provided by hotels.com - We were disappointed in the quality of the accommodations the first night. We had requested a condo for 3 adults and were given a 1 bedroom condo with a undersized bunk bed in the main entry way, which was designed for children and not the 6 ft 2 in 3rd adult in the party. Bed in only bedroom was small and uncomfortable also. We ended up using the couch as a bed. The condo was also very warm and lacked the ability to open windows (no screens, slider was broken). No coffee filters were provided for the coffee maker. Also, the code provided for the rec area/pool was wrong so we could not access internet (no internet in room). On second day the manager responded to our concerns by offering to move us to a larger condo, provided a fan, screen on one of the windows, and provided the correct code. (still no coffee filters) We appreciated her efforts to try to improve our stay. The location was very good. Mammoth is an awesome place to visit. Next time I will try to find a better place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing from Start to finish! To the lady who checked us in on Thursday to the time of check out not 1 bad thing which is very very rare!
- Jesse (8/5): nice hotel, close enough to eat and the lakes - The room was not what I expected or saw in the picture. I was disappointed in that part, but the room we received was comfortable and equipped with all appliances. Something I completely disliked was that there was no AC, we had to open the side door for fresh air. Overall my experience was great, I would come here again as well recommend this hotel to family and friends.
- Bill (10/5): Great accommodations in Mammoth Lakes. - Rustic condo with great amenities centrally located in Mammoth Lakes. Restaurants and super market located within walking distance. Excellent pool and hot tub. Quiet location. Would definitely stay here again.
- Cindy (10/5): Loved our stay here! - We rented a condo through Mammoth Mountain Reservations for our trip to Mammoth over the 4th of July holiday. Condo was very nice and clean and fit our needs perfectly. Was also conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do. Also check-in and check-out were incredibly easy. Will definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bed of Boards - The furniture was miserably uncomfortable! Thankfully it was stocked with pillows for 7 and there were only two of us so we could line the bed with them. It was stocked generously. Right on the highway so very noisy.
- Debbie (8/5): Homy condo near mountains - Condo had everything you could want for making your own meals which was awesome. It was clean and felt like home, we felt welcome there and will go again.
- Luis (8/5): Good location - Our family trip was one the best so far, mammoth lakes is a great location for outdoor activities.
- Jill (10/5): Great Condo with mountain and lake view - The real room is totally different than pictures on the Expedia, should update it. It is Condo with all furnished including a living room with soft, table, TV, fireplace, a kitchen with cookwares/oven/microwave/coffeemaker, a bedroom with king size bed/TV as well as a clean bathroom with towels and shampoo/conditioner/bady soap and a balcony with mountain and lake view. Also, there is a Jacuzzi on place, large parking lot.
- Lance (8/5): Discovery 4 Condos -Mammoth Mountain Resv. - Great condo in a great location in Mammoth. Close to Canyon Lodge and town and in the free shuttle route. The condo had multiple beds in each room, two baths and a pull out couch. It was old school furnishings but was clean, comfy and in a nice complex. Lisa with Mammoth Mountain Resv went out of her way to accommodate us so I could bring my dog with me. We had a really nice experience! Will definitely go back and will look for this same condo again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convieant close to the Village and ski lifts. - Very nice condo! Good mountain view, comfortable living room, cozy fireplace and convient kitchen.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Condo excellent location - Lovely condo in a great location with wonderful amenities. Clean and comfortable with full kitchen. Only problem was heater in master bedroom did not work.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great time staying at our condo. The staff was very friendly and gave lots of suggestions as to what would be fun to do with the kids. We would definitely use them again to book a stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to slopes - Check in time is at 4, but our room wasn't ready until we asked for the manager. The girl at the check in kept on telling us it's not 4 yet when the clock over her head showed 4:04. She didn't seem like she was very time-aware. Also check out is at 10 am. Seems like a pretty long time to turnaround a room with housekeeping. Looks like they are short of cleaning staff.
Other than that, this was super close to Canyon Lodge, unit 104 was well-stocked and we'd go back.
- Josh (10/5): - Great little condo for the price on a very busy weekend. Would be handy to have free wifi. But overall would definitely come back and stay. Cheers
- Verified traveler (10/5): A wonderful place to stay! - We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was spacious, super comfortable and had all the amenities of home. The fireplace was an amazing touch and the heating system kept us all warm beyond belief. The rec room has foosball, pool and ping-pong.They also have a hot tub, pool and sauna. During the winter months when there is snow it is a good idea to bring a shovel along because your car does get covered in snow if you leave it parked too long. They do plow all the roads within the Condominiums very early in the morning so that driving is easy. I loved this place!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a nice condo, but the rugs and bed linens were not clean for the price that was charged
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great service and the condo was amazing. It fit 6 people very comfortably.
- Kathy (10/5): Thanksgiving getaway - We wanted to get away this year after losing my mom. What a great idea. This was a nice cozy place. Equipped with everything. The bed rooms were great sizes. Heat worked great. Can't wait to go back to this exact condo in the future.
- Sherman (8/5): tt - difficult to open the key box;
when we made reservation, the website says pets allowed, but when we checked in, the room manual says "no pets allowed"!
- Maria (10/5): The coziest stay you'll find. - If you're expecting new and modern furniture, look elsewhere. This condo is the quaintest little thing, making you feel warm as soon as you step in. The furniture and size is exactly what you'd want out of a log cabin, with the cheap price of a hotel. Loved it, love the fireplace, and fell in love with the red chair that I'd personally buy in a heartbeat.
- sangpo (2/5): Nonsnse - This was the first time i booked a room using expedia and they send me 3 hrs drive from Yosemite !! I will never ever book a hotel from them again and will encourage everyone not to do so . The hotel had no reception and no body to talk to , it was like walking into someone elses place without letting them know . This sucks !! It took me 4 hrs to get from san fransisco to Yosemite and 3 hrs from Yosemite to my hotel !!The description said 1.5 hrs !! Wth
- Verified traveler (6/5): Deceived by pictures. - The pictures showed in website does not match what was given to us at all.We were excited to see the condo, to find out that what was pictured was not the condo they gave us at all. The condo was old and outdated. There was no airconditioner and the mattress was very uncomfortable. My husband and I didn't sleep all 4 nights we stayed there. I felt we didn't get what we payed for, for the condo showed in the website, to the actual condo they gave us. We will not book here next time. Don't show pictures of other condos if you're not going to provide it. You keep our hopes up, then crush it afterwards.
- Kristen (6/5): 1980 called and it wants it's room back. - Very close to Trolley and bus transport. Beds were uncomfortable and carpet was a little dirty. The condo did have most everything we needed for cooking. Overall clean and not terrible. Staff was nice.
- SONIA (8/5): Mammoth Mountain Crestview condo Review - Quick stay. Perfect size great location.
