• Larry (10/5): A perfect place to spend a week on the beach for a reasonable price. I would definitely go back. - They provided beach towels and a nice beach chair. It is a very short walk to the beach. There is a cute little liquor store on the walk to the beach where you can purchase your favorite adult beverage. The property is an older facility but the room was spacious. It’s not shiny and new but very comfortable.

• Allison (7/5): A great stay right across the street from the beach, overall cleanliness could be improved. - We loved the location and the boogie boards were our favorite. Staff was very friendly!! The towels are too small. You can’t wrap them around your entire body after you shower which makes things difficult. The bar of soap provided was too small and it was nearly gone by our first night, and toilet paper ran out after one day as well. I also wished the vending machine would have waters/more drink options.

• Robin (8/5): I live local and this is a great place to stay when you want a night out in a great location. - Walk to beach, price is great for the location, close to restaurants, three beds for comfort, microwave, mini fridge, table and chair for multiple uses. The AC Unit in our room wasn't great. It wouldn't get cooler in the room. We didn't mention to front desk since we ended up out most of the time.

The best part is , this hotel is affordable and your walking distance to the beach. Plus, the hotel provides beach towels, chairs, and beach umbrella. That was a big plus. Stores and restaurants nearby. I am definitely coming back to this hotel. We had a awesomeness time at Newport Channel Inn. The staff and all employees did an amazing job. Can't complain, it's was a good 3 night stay

Great proximity to the beach They have a problem with their hot / cold running water. Last year I stayed in the same room and they had no hot water. This year they had no cold water! BIG problem

The place is a motel with old furniture, old uncarpeted floors, cheaply renovated bathrooms, poor sound insulation, uncomfortable chairs, and old lamps (with LED bulbs in 3-way sockets).

Smart tv I could use was lovely .amazing sweet and super helpful & respectful staff . Not enough light in the room . Old looking motel and felt isolated. My personal preference was being closer to Newport Beach pier by walking .Was good for my purpose for one night . I had a great sleep there. No elevator .
• Cheryl (8/5): A great budget friendly location! - The staff were friendly and very accomodating. We arrived late and we had a small moving trailer. The staff allowed us to park on the back side of the motel and it was perfect. There is a small park in the back so our dog had plenty of space to relieve & roam. The room is a typical motel room. Very clean, all the amenities one needs. The location was was also perfect. We were able to walk the beach in the morning, have a nice breakfast in the area and get back on the road. I have no complaints.

It was clean enough and comfortable enough. for the price and location, it was pretty okay. I would stay here again; however, probably not for more than about two nights due to the condition of the beds The bed was somewhat uncomfortable. The floor left dirt spots on my feet.

The internet was basically non-operable. Winding down for the evening, the television constantly had to load. I gave up on watching a movie because of it.

You can rent from a local vendor for about $20 for 24 hours that are located on the property just call Jason 949 -612 -8389 for bike rentals they don't serve any type of Continental breakfast, but there is plenty of other places to eat around the area
• Todd (4/5): Thin walls turn a great location and cute hotel into a disappointing experience - Great location -- the beach is beautiful and right across the street from the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. The motel is a cute mid-century style design. Parking is easy and right outside the rooms. This was a deal-breaker. The walls were really thin. I came back from dinner and could hear the TV from the room next door. And then heard the couple talking, and rather loudly. Almost as if they were in my room! I tried to turn on my own music to drown them out, but needed to do some work and it was impossible to concentrate. The voices were not muffled; they were distinct. Like I could have joined in their conversation. I had come down for the night because I was going whale watching in the morning. Due to the loud noise, I knew that I would 't be able to sleep, so I ended up leaving that night and driving home.

• Golden (6/5): - The hotel is one busy street crossing from the beach. They also have chairs, beach towels and boogue boards available to use. The room we stayed in was in pretty bad shape, warped floor and flooring that has been falling apart for some time. The rooms are very dated. Sound proofing is good but not enough to block out the groups of bullet bikes that like to rev their engines on the highway in the evening. The bed is mostly comfortable, but the linens are pretty stiff. We elected not to stay a second night and find someplace more tranquil.

• STEVEN (6/5): Stay was OK - Our stay was nice room was clean but they had a very noisy portable air conditioner. The area is very close to enjoy all our activities. It did get very noisy late at night a lot of in and out not sure what that was doors slamming hard about every hour.
