- srio666 (6/5): Nice room, comfy bed, careless staff - Stayed here for 2 nights during my birthday, booked through Traveloka. First night I was given a free upgrade as the room I booked for was no longer available. Following afternoon I extended the stay through Traveloka for another night. Pros: Bed is comfortable, check-in process was quick, spacious bedroom, cold air conditioning CONS: Shower water heater did not work properly. Called the front desk and they said they'd follow up / call back (we waited hours and decided to just use the cold water shower). I found a disgusting wrapping paper from a used condom under the curtains (careless housekeeping, did not clean the place thoroughly). Bed sheets had weird yellow stains. Wi-Fi is super slow and continuously disconnects from your phones. Before check-out time, there was no courtesy call from the front desk bothering to ask if we were checking out or extending the stay. WITH my room on DO NOT DISTURB, the staff came in front my door knocking loudly and quick not stating even which department they were from or what purpose they had coming in front of the door. Also, on the day I extended the stay, I also had the DO NOT DISTURB sign shown but the staff proceeded to ring the doorbell to make up my room in which I asked them to come back at 3PM since I was leaving at that time; they told me "sure, but 3pm is the only time we can come back since there will be no other staff to clean after as we'll be going home" thank you fyi ☺️ At check-out, (around before 1pm) the front desk staff did not bother asking for feedback and just gave me my deposit and I checked out. Another thing, to go to the motorbike parking area, you have to go behind the hotel where it is all muddy and dirty, they wouldn't allow you to park closer despite having the parking space COMPLETELY EMPTY. Small advice, please kindly train your staff to read the DND signs and what not to do when it is SWITCHED ON. And if you say you want to follow up on something and call us back, ACTUALLY DO IT. Prevent your guests from waiting too long. I will attach the photo of the wrapping paper from the used condom on this review. I'm unable to mention any of the names of your staff as NONE wore their name tags.
- boyatlaliust (10/5): I enjoyed it! - The room was clean and comfy. Everything served worked. The room service was a bit slow but they'll served you. The wifi worked well. The hotel is located nearby the city centre and you could find local food around the hotel. There's a cafeteria next to the hotel though.
- yazriy2015 (6/5): Overall experience - Overall staying experience is neither bad nor good. You get what you paid for. Can be further improved. You got to wait for 10-15mins after u turn on the Aircon to get the room cool. Its equipped with basic necessities. But the good thing is that, the staff readily attend ur issue fast. For breakfast, staff need to be more proactive in restocking the food items so as not to have the customer wait for it to refill. If you looking for a no frill place to recharge after a day out, this is a valuable place. Overall staff are very friendly and will try their best to rectify amy issues.
- bunnytooth13 (2/5): Breakfast is dead - Their service is abit slow. Not much of shops around the area. Their hotel breakfast, not much of varieties. Had slight diarrhoea after having them. What’s good about the hotel are their rooms. The bed was so comfortable and the water pressure of the rain shower is good. Toilet was fine; nothing to say much, just basic necessities provided.
- Azhari (6/5): Regret waking up for breakfast. - Front desk people was excelent. But breakfast was bad, little variety of food to choose from and 1030 they already started asking us and about to clear the buffet. 2nd day we skip breakfast. 😊

- othmanaziz (10/5): Great Stay in Boom City Batam ! - It was late in the evening when i finally checked -in at Zia Boutique Hotel. Comparing the photos as seen through the website and the actual physical setting seen in person really makes a lot difference. The hotel is surely a star attraction in Boom Town Batam. Boutique size Zia Hotel has good basic amenities including wifi. What is more important the bedroom is handsomely fitted with beautiful decor . The bathroom looks luxurious with both shower stall and bathtub provided. The front office staff were very friendly and pleasing. The morning breakfast though simple and mainly local were still an appetizing spread.

- crabaste (8/5): Very nice room - The room was very nice, spacious with anything we could need; it was clean and cleaned everyday just couldn't work out how to set the safe code... we had breakfast included and the buffet was big and deliciuos; staff is friendly and helpful, there are some major working on the road in front which penalize the hotel right now, once finished should be very good all around; not too far from the center but still you will need a taxi ride
- EvaP969 (10/5): Spacious room's for a family - Good location, near to go to shopping center and the best is they have spacious rooms for a family!!! So you can arrange your luggage if you bring a lot of bags. The staffs was good and helping us with smile and they will go and back quick as they can if we ask something from them.

- shafie (10/5): First time - Great got shuttle service to and fro nagoya mall. But at 1st staff was not sure if the shuttle is available as they dont know where is the driver. But manage to find anyway it was awesome only this hotel ive stayed offer this wonderful service. Aircon in room take awhile to chill the room. No water heater to cook water. No free tea and coffee. Bed is great. Most comfortable bed ive slept in. Toilet is great too.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Quite cheap room to take a shower, rest and leave - The place was cleaned like in your home. The places at your sigh are clean but below the bed was full of dust, a few old rose petals and used sleepers. Some of the pillows were visually unclean and the sleepers available to us in the room where previously used. The mini bar was empty. In hotel, outside the room, is quite warm and the internet is not good at all. This place is perfect for a quick shower and a quick rest regarding the price. Not more than that. But it had potential to be a better place.

- Kuo Liang (10/5): - All as good as before: friendly staff, clean room. But this time round, there is no welcome drink, intermittent slowness of the internet as well as a bit miscommunication from staff which I ask for a glass of wine and the staff bought me a wine GLASS.
- va2l (10/5): Just To Relax - Hotel was good. Service was okay. Have not encounter any problems yet accept for the air conditioner. It didnt blow any air at the first but then yeah. At first, thought that the A/C was spoilt. But nahh. Took a few mintues for the air to blow out according to the speed stated. The rest was a pleasant stay. Taxi driver good at the places. He knows Batam well, very helpful. Price is affordable for me for eg, from Zia to Nagoya. RP 60, 000. To me it is okay. Heh. Front desk too. Very pleasant treatment. So yeah. Just make a slow and satisfying improvement slowly Zia. Thats all for now. Wee...... Haha
- jackf749 (4/5): Not recommended - I have been staying at Zia for 2 nights, and have one more night left here. Intially, everything was okay until we reached the room. There was a terrible stench coming from the bathroom, as if something had been blocked. Beds are probably the best I have slept in, very comfortable. Breakfast was to a very poor standard. A very small selection, and on the first morning, empty by 9am. We asked for them to be filled, and they were, only with cold bland food. The second morning, was no buffet, but 'ala carte'. Fried rice, fried noodles, and another variant of fried noodles. I wouldn't recommend it for more than one night, and try to find breakfast outside. Music from the bar downstairs is also very loud until 11pm.
- Keith (10/5): close to city centre and easy to get around - my friends and I had 4 super days in Batam played some good golf in the nearby courses and have lots of my other friends interested in coming over to Batam to have a similar holiday to ours.;
- AlKajai (8/5): Cheap but Nice but limited transport facilities. - This hotel is nice... Lobby is nice and clean. Staff is good and the room is spacious and cost. It's really value for your money. The only problem I had here is that this hotel is quiet isolated from Batam's attraction area and it's not easy to find decent food outside of this hotel. Taxi can be arranged at reservation but you have to really plan your schedule. Hotel genset is having problem when we stay there. it takes a whole night to get it fixed. But I guess that is an isolated case. Wont stay there anymore if I go to Batam again for holiday. Business trip, yes..absolutely.

We had our room cards... my room card initially did not work... the staff had to be called twice as i could not enter my room.. the staff came and then returned after a while with a key... told us to use the key ... I felt that all rooms should be checked before handing over. Another friend's room bathroom was clogged... Room service came to look into the issue instead of rectifying they just opened up the drain n told my friend to keep it open... there was a bad stench n my friend had to clean up the bathroom to rid of the stench. Another friend's room no bar fridge. All the 4 rooms aircon is not cold at all... I had ordered for room service at 1140pm n till 1am no one came with my orders!!! I took this hotel as i saw reviews were good but seriously i am having my doubts if the reviews were even genuine in the first place.
- SylvieL987 (2/5): Was all right. Then terrible. - Seemed nice at first, with welcome drinks and friendly staff. Then there was a power outage in the area, and their backup generator couldn't work. As the hours passed, the room became unbearably stuffy and hot. Went down to check a couple of times, each time they said the backup generator would work soon. Eventually, at 1 am, perspiring profusely, we went down to request a refund as we wanted to go to another hotel to stay. We were repeatedly told that "I can't refund you, you used Agoda." I asked them a couple of times to refund us, or give us a receipt that would allow us to contact Agoda to cancel the stay, or just have some form of flexibility in thinking. We were repeatedly told "But you used Agoda" as if it was some mantra that keeps unhappy customers at bay. Did not appreciate that at all. I had to switch over to my demanding customer mode, which I really hate being forced to use, before they would budge. In the mean time, I was covered in mosquito bites. I'm not even exaggerating. In the time spent arguing with them, I must have fed at least a dozen mosquitoes. Buffet time. They tried to bargain with us - 50% refund. After lots of back and forth nonsense going on, we got the full refund. And they said, " I will refund you. But it's not us, you know. This whole place has a power outage. Not our hotel." I pointed out the fact that many hotels still had power, because they had backup generators that worked. Given how often blackouts happen in Batam, shouldn't they ensure that they have functioning backup generators? So, then had to wait a long time trying to flag down cabs in the dark. Went to Harris Hotel, which HAD POWER. and air conditioning. Thank god.
- saarahasanah (8/5): Good hotel and service. - I went to Batam last week for business trip and stayed here for three nights. The hotel was good and so the service. Recommended hotel! However, the place is not near to shopping mall but near to our office, it took about 15 minutes by driving though. The room was comfortable and the foods were good.
- 152graceh (10/5): Exceeded my expectation! - We stayed overnight in this hotel way back October 2014 and I must say, its worth it. The room was clean and for less than $ 30.00, you'll get more than your money is worth. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet too. Will stay in this hotel when we get back to Batam!
- Thamil (2/5): GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT - It was not a trip that we were looking towards to. The hotel's breakfast were miserable and they did not top up the food when it was almost finishing. There were blackouts 5 times in a day, which was not rectified immediately. The toilets had no proper drainage and the water got choked after every shower. I had taken this hotel under the advise of your staff who gave us good reviews on this hotel but came back with great disappointment!

The room very comfy clean and neat. You can enjoy your breakfast with a good ambience. Will come back for sure. Very recommended for stay. Even the place its not near any shopping centre but can easily find taxi to bring you to shopping centre

- ANG (2/5): paid for hotel but hotel closed scam - We did not have the chance to stayed at all. We booked the hotel during February the date we booked was on 17 march 2015 to 19 march 2015. When 17 march we reached that about afternoon time around 1415 hrs. The staff said that the hotel was closed. Waste my money and time.
