- Gonzalez (7/5): Well managed, secure and clean place that is perfect for a cost efficient stay in SF. - I enjoyed how clean and cozy the room was, especially the view we had of the city from our window. I also enjoyed the rooftop terrace over looking the area. It made me feel safe to know that they don't allow everyone in the lobby and that it's operated either with a room key or manually by the front desk, especially being in an area that isn't the best. They kept it pretty secure. I also enjoyed how the front desk answered every call immediately without wait time and they were very professional and friendly. I didn't like the environment outside of the hotel but obviously they can't control that. I also didn't like how parking wasn't included in the price of the room, but that's literally every hotel in SF.

- Pinar (9/5): Super, zu empfehlen! - 1. Das Zimmer Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Badezimmer war hervorragend ausgestattet. Es gab Shampoo, Duschgel und Conditioner für die Haare. Besonders positiv fand ich, dass das Bad sehr geräumig war und man auch im Zimmer selbst genügend Platz hatte. 2. Das Frühstück Das Frühstück hat mir ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Es gab eine große Auswahl an herzhaften und süßen Speisen – ideal, vor allem wenn man aus Europa kommt und eine gewisse Vielfalt gewohnt ist. Es gab auch immer frisches Obst. 3. Die Lobby-Getränke In der Lobby konnte man sich jederzeit Kaffee oder Tee holen – unbegrenzt. Das fand ich wirklich klasse, da es sehr komfortabel ist und man sich jederzeit bedienen kann. 4. Kostenloses Wasser bei der Ankunft Besonders nett fand ich, dass man zu Beginn zwei Flaschen Wasser erhalten hat. Ein kleiner, aber sehr hilfreicher Service. Im Großen und Ganzen gibt es nichts, was mir negativ aufgefallen wäre. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt. Bei dem Frühstück wäre es schön, wenn die Eigerichte (Omletts etc) vegetarisch sein könnten. Oft war Fleisch mit drin, das fand ich schade.

Area was a busy street with lot - Bed and blankets were very soft and comfortable. 12/31/25-1/1/26- Property was right in mission district aka tenderloin. I had a homeless guy try to open my car door while waiting for valet to get my car (luckily the door was locked). Only 2 staff members at the desk during the beginning of check in time (3:20pm) and service was slow. There was an extremely long line and not enough space to get past guests who were waiting to be checked in.

I was charged for valet service that was blocks away from the hotel. In an area that is unsupervised unlocked homeless encampment. I ended up leaving that night. - Uwe (8/5): - Das Hotel liegt zentral um ein Wochenende in San Francisco zu starten. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Frühstück war für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr gut. In 10 Minute ist man an der Cable Car oder aber an der Bahn F. Beide fahren zum Hafen. Zu Fuß ist man auch schnell zu den anderen Attraktionen, wie Chinatown oder Grace Cathedrale. Die Anstiege sind aber teilweise anstrengend. Rund um das Hotel befinden sich zwar viele Obdachlose, man wird aber in Ruhe gelassen. Insgesamt ist das Hotel zu empfehlen. Preislich gesehen hätte ich das Hotel unter 200 € pro Nacht eingeordnet.

- Linda (8/5): There’s alot to see in San Francisco and the price is high for the room size. Not bad hotel - Clean, down town, breakfast was excellent. The room was so small you barely had room for your suitcase. There was a homeless man between the lobby door and the outside door sleeping and quivering. Front desk guy came out and tried to move him and he couldn’t wake. I’m not sure what happened there because our car came and we were gone all day.

Caucasian lady who works front desk at night is very rude I noticed them talking about us and laughing in the room when the other employee went back to tell her we need our car. She is very impatient and make us feel uncomfortable. We felt discriminated against because we did not have our parking ticket. We don’t know why her approach and attitude seemed irritated. Also the valet parking attendant ruined a tire and scraped our back tire which wasn’t like that before. Careless with handling vehicle. I have an image Other staff was nice.

- Patricia (6/5): - My room was not throughly clean upon arrival. I had to request housekeeping come to my room. We were two guest and only two towels were available in my room. We had to request more.
- Daniel (2/5): - Homeless persons broke into the gated lot the hotel used to have cars parked (for $74 per night) and damaged five cars. We had a car parked in the lot and were scheduled to stay another day. The hotel valet said there was nothing they could do to prevent cars from being damaged. I told the hotel I could not stay under those conditions as a car was essential to the res of my vacation, was given a refund for the second day, and had to leave San Francisco a half day earlier than planned and missed several activities we had hoped to do. This was my fourth Hampton Inn I had stayed it in a week across the country and by far the worst experience I had ever had at a Hampton Inn.

- Rica Mae (10/5): Hotel in busy San Fran - Stayed here for one night. Property was across the street from SF Chronicles. If you have a vehicle, they have valet for $75 a night. Staff was very nice. Hotel and bedroom was overall very clean and my boyfriend was happy there was a tv in the room because he got to watch a NFL football game. They also provide hot breakfast. I would stay here again when I visit San Francisco! N/A

- Steve (2/5): - Stayed 2 nights. They were changing TVs in all the rooms with guests in them. Was out all day and when I returned my Samsung pad was gone from my backpack. The safe wasn't working so I took all other valuables with me. The front desk response was that they have housekeeping manager watch the contractors, so it's impossible for my pad to be stolen.

- Manuel (8/5): - It's a good place to stay, if you stay in or just get out in the morning and come back before sunset. The area around not being unsafe is just very rough, smelly and not welcoming. Bus near or or dropped off by a ride-sharing app is the best way to get in or out.

- Antonio (8/5): Great Stay - Breakfast was very good. Employees did take the time to restock all the time. Rooms are a bit on the small side, bathroom size is good. There are homeless? people wondering around the property.
- Genevieve (2/5): - My colleague had a pair of $200 sneakers removed from inside his locked hotel room and this hotel did absolutely nothing about it, and even tried to blame him. They wouldn't even follow up with him- *he* had to keep asking *them* to provide updates. They acted as though his requests they look into what happened to his shoes was a massive inconvenience from the start, and were utterly indifferent to the fact that someone who wasn't him had access to the room. No offers of restitution were made, and no attempt to look into it (*he* had to ask if they could check the key card record, or if they had security cameras, after *days* of them not looking into it). I'm not expecting them to become Sherlock Holmes, but when he came to them to report something of value was missing from his room they began with complete disinterest and by the end they were hostile to him and acted as though he was being unbearably difficult by expecting them to respond. I do want to note that the staff that works the breakfast station, as well as some front desk staff, were incredibly kind and helpful to him. But other front desk staff and the manger were just awful to my colleague, who was unfailingly polite and patient with them. You will see other reviews complaining about vagrancy outside the hotel. I will tell you that the *only* thing that made me feel unsafe staying here was the way someone was able to enter the room uninvited w/ management's utter indifference.

When we arrived we were told there was a $75 a night hotel charge that we would get back however we found out that parking at the hotel which I thought I saw on the website as $57 was I believe now $67 dollars a night. Which did not include tax. Sad to say if you do the math is almost $75. I asked about near by parking the lady said she didn’t know. We asked the gentleman standing next to her and he stated right up the street a little on the right side. When I asked where are car was they said in a lot behind the hotel and when you call it would take 15-20 minutes to retrieve. We opted to pay the fee however didn’t realize we would have to asks for trash to be picked up and to have towels on the second day as they do not clean your room but every other day. Very disappointing.

- Nina Luisa (8/5): In downtown but… - Clean facilities. Like the rooftop access with the view of the city While location is right at downtown and walkable to a lot of tourist spots - walking specially on your own, is not advisable, the area is quite unsafe.
- Yanyan (10/5): - Convenient location, easy access to transportation and parking. However there are many homeless and drug addicts but this is everywhere in downtown San Francisco. It is still safe to walk around though.

However it just isn’t up to Hampton standards primarily because of the area of town and how - It was surprisingly quiet and secure once you were in and registered Room was very small…as was bathroom. No place to put suitcase. Breakfast wasn’t being kept up…only one omelette was available when we were there at 7:30….it did get refreshed 15 min later though. I had requested a shower chair for my husband but had to call front desk for it when we arrived (it was brought up quickly though!) electrical outlets only on one side of bed.

- Susan (6/5): Hampton Inn San Francisco - Both the reception and service staff are excellent, friendly and very help. However, I was there three nights and my room was not cleaned and serviced, nor was the rubbish taken away 'For my comfort' as the notice said. Really? As a solo female traveller, this is not an area I wanted to walk to at night, I felt unsafe.
