• Virginia (7/5): A very nice location to stay. - The location was very central and lovely views over the marina. There were nice walks around the marina and good bars and restaurants below the hotel. The bars were noisy, which was expected due to the location, but they all closed by 10pm so quiet to sleep. The reception closed at 6pm which we were not aware of. The security guard let us in and checked us in. I had advised the Marina Hotel that we would not be arriving until after 7pm but were not warned that the main reception closed at 6pm and that security would check us in. A large boat that was moored in the marina, just outside the hotel, ran its engines for over an hour early in the morning!

The receptionist very friendly and professional and helpful. I would really have loved early check in as I had booked the cabanas for an event from 12-4 and it was inconvenient not having my room before my celebration began, however my friends (who didn't ask for early check in) were given early check in
• Lewis (10/5): Amazing! Staff go over and beyond cannot fault - Staff were amazing. We had to cancel some nights of our accommodation as my son ended up in hospital. Even though they didn’t need to as part of the cancellation policy they gave us a full refund and waived the one night fee as part of the cancellation. Good businesses like this are hard to come by. It’s also very lovely there

• Susie (7/5): Was supposed to be a lovely ending to our 3 week WA road trip, it was absolutely not that!!! - The room & bathroom were lovely and comfy. The view from the room was good. The pool area is open to the partying public at the weekends which IS NOT mentioned on here! It was like an Ibiza pool party and not the relaxing time we had been looking forward to after our long road trip and before returning to the UK. It was awful.. Also we experienced banging on our door and loud drunken yelling in the hallway on 2 nights of the 3

• Tee (10/5): Beautiful view! Summer Breeze Staycation! - Very nice location! Had everything we needed right down to the many different food options below. Very noisy, yoj can hear the neighbours slamming what sounded like a door or something rather. Friday & Saturday nights are really loud. It’s to be expected though staying right above a top rated restaurant bar.

• Johnny&Karen (7/5): Lovely place but very noisy - Good location, nice sized room and big bathroom. Good restaurants and selection of bars. Not recommended for a peaceful weekend break! Surrounded by noisy bars playing loud music until gone 11pm - great for the partying local kids but not good for us old farts staying in the rooms. There was also an alarm sounding late at night.

• Rachael (6/5): - The area and location of this hotel are great but we were given an upgrade and felt it was a downgrade. Having stayed here before the room was lovely and modern, which is why we chose to stay again. The “upgrade” we were given was to a family room with two additional beds, no ensuite and it was quite damp smelling. The bedroom had no bedside PowerPoints, the aircon couldn’t be controlled properly and the room was very cold. The living area had no lights and just a lamp which was weird. We will not be staying here again.

The welcome gift for my birthday was lovely. What could be improved (in our opinion) - the airconditioning control was confusing and not as warm as we would have liked. lack of a central light in the bed/ sitting area. power points for our bedside CPAP machines were behind the bed. We didn't discover this until checkout and had to use an extension cord from the little kitchenette. more black tea varieties would be appreciated - eg earl grey and a strong breakfast tea. bowls and spoons so we could organise simple breakfasts like cereal. We found the Union Kitchen unsatisfactory and the coffee was cold and bitter. a microwave would also be useful for hot snacks or reheating takeaways. The rooms were huge and well appointed. Unfortunately we didnt have time or opportunity to try the restaurants/bars on site - they looked great! Noise factor - staying above restaurants/bars means some noise on the weekend!

Lots of eateries nearby, the playground and weekend movie were a hit. Room was a little too close to bar and live music but by 10pm they had stopped so all good.

• Mapread (8/5): Lovely Room and Balcony - Yes, a lovely spacious room with a beautiful balcony looking over the water. You should know we've stayed here many times, from when it was small and new - conveniently north of Perth for our homeward trip to Geraldton. It's good to see it booming. Great room, with even the bedside light working well - wonderful for night readers like us. (So many otherwise good hotels have hopeless bed lights.) There's a good choice of onsite dining venues, and attractive breakfast cafes. The only fault was our welcome; well, lack it it. Although the receptionist was indeed dealing patiently and cheerfully with another guest on our arrival, we were ignored, without so much as a " G'day, welcome - be with you soon". When we were eventually checked in, it was efficient but cold. No smile, no seeming awareness that we were tired travellers. That ( absent) greeting was noted with regret.
• Escape34007 (4/5): Poor - This is a rundown hotel noisy and dirty nothing works properly . It not a hotel it’s a 1970 motel good location . I would not recommend it . Clearly it’s about making money not about the guests . I can’t believe how unprofessional they are for the money they charge .
• Amanda (8/5): Lovely out look ,but noisy - Lovely outlook on the water,noisy at night with Restaurants underneath. Was disappointed with lack of maintenance for the price I paid. Toilet seat was broken ,Bedside lampshade was wobbly and falling off, and the bathroom door was all cracked and warped at the bottom.For $250 a night, it was well over priced for the room . I have spent time in better quality places for less. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Could hear people next door shuffling chairs. So not the quietest place to stay. Room was spacious and well presented.
• Perkins (8/5): Very good - It was pretty noisy of a morning from 5am you could hear outside banging around the lift and then the dogs and blower early before 7am each morning.
