Guest Reviews
- Jason (10/5): Too short of a stay but plan on staying in the future. - Very spacious rooms with balcony and the spa pool was very nice. N/A - Was one night stay on our way to a further location so only used the spa and room so cannot find anything bad or we disliked.

- Nader (10/5): Great value - Clean.
Professional and friendly staff.
- Desiree (10/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): - Nice location but under renovation Breakfast was basic, no hot food. The pillows were not comfortable
- Steve (5/5): While the remodeling of the reception area is beautiful, rooms need another sink and bathtub safey. - Friendly staff. Intermittent TV. TV constantly when on and off. Staff could not fix or explain.
Continental breakfast was much less than expected. Mini donuts that I could have bought prepackaged in any grocery store. Only orange juice offered which was watered down.
Only 1 sink in room, which wasn’t even in the bathroom.
Nothing to hold onto when getting in/out of bathtub, which would apply to any age person(s) in the room.
No drawers to put clothes in if staying for longer than 1-2 nights.

- Dave (10/5): -
- Peterson (7/5): I feel this a great place for families with smaller children. - The staff was super friendly and helpful, the beds comfortable and the room clean Having sinks in the bathroom, not the bedroom for a little privacy washing up and dressing. Having make-up remover wipes and a coffee pot in the room. had to ask for one.
- Phillip (10/5): -
- Eric (9/5): The family and I enjoyed our stay. - All of it. No eggs at breakfast.

- Maher (6/5): - Clean nice rooms. Pool was fun! The pool had to be shut down . Smelled to much like chemicals. The hotel was under construction

- cb573bdcf89e72cacf7089447f3ce2f2 (7/5): My kids had fun, staff are okay (not over friendly, but not rude) room was very clean and nice. - My kids enjoy the arcade and swimming! Breakfast was awful. No juice, eggs, or meat. Just some bagels, cereal, and waffles. They had a container out that had orange juice in it, but it was empty the entire time… Considering the price of this hotel and that it’s supposed to be a “nicer” hotel, the breakfast was terrible. I’ve had way better continental breakfast at cheaper hotels when traveling.

- Brittany (7/5): Great for what we needed but the hotel as work to do for other guests who decide to stay longer - The Waters is a perfect little get away for us since we live about an hour away. The hotel is clean and the remodel to the rooms is beautiful. We ran into an issue while there pertaining to the restaurant. We tried calling to order pizzas but no one was answering. My husband and I physically went down there and saw that the restaurant was closed for a half hour. They're in the middle of remodeling so we didn't really question anything but when we got to the bar, the bartender told us that their kitchen staff walked out a few days prior so it was just her and another bartender also managing cooking, waitressing, and bussing tables. Initially we planned to order food but with this story, and the bartender specifically telling us she wishes people would just doordash or eat across the street, we decided not to eat there. You could obviously see how overwhelmed they were. The snack concession was also closed during the stay and appears to have been closed for awhile. I feel as though there's a lot of missed opportunities by having both food spots closed. I know our family would've eaten there multiple times throughout our one night stay. The breakfast was also lackluster, likely due to the lack of kitchen staff, but it was not as good as we've had in the past
- Kommes (7/5): -
- Tiffany (7/5): It was a relaxing getaway - Breakfast and the pool were exactly what we were looking for The room could have a few more amenities and a bit cleaner
- Anna (7/5): - There was no hot water on the floor I was staying ok

- jeffreypS9330RA (2/5): Management lectures guests instead of fixing hot water. ++ - "A 'water' resort with no hot water is a failure, but the management’s reaction was the real disaster. When I expressed frustration about the lack of basic utilities, I was actually reprimanded by the staff for my tone rather than being offered a solution or an apology. It was an absolute 'Twilight Zone' experience to be scolded for expecting a warm shower. They seem to care more about tone-policing guests than maintaining their infrastructure. If you want a relaxing Northwoods trip where you aren't treated like a child for wanting a functioning room, stay elsewhere."++
- jackie (9/5): -
- Susan (10/5): It was a quick stay, and I wish we could have been there longer. - The beds were amazingly comfortable.
- James (5/5): -
- Emily (9/5): Perfect for a short weekend getaway! - The rooms were beautiful! Comfortable beds , great food at The Pub, and lots to do on site! Even though the beds were so comfortable, the pillows were the opposite. Very hard, uncomfortable to sleep on! Also, the breakfast was lacking. The only hot option was waffles/waffle-makers which everyone seemed to want, so the lines were extremely long.
- Kristie (8/5): -
- judith (9/5): Just perfect! - Room was excellent, beds were amazing ....loved the place .....it was perfect!! The breakfast was ok. The lady helping in breakfast room was fantastic but she needs more help when busy..people staying there were so rude to her.....please add eggs , bacon and sausage ...that would make breakfast outstanding!
- Jami (10/5): - We like just about everything The Waters has to offer! I brought my children there and now do the same with the grandkids. It's always clean and the staff is so friendly. Honestly...nothing!
- Richard (4/5): We left completely exhausted and unhappy - The waterpark for the grandkids Very noisy group below us kept us up for 4 extra hours on and off. Slamming doors and running up and sown hallways on 2nd floor! Had to call front desk and met him down there. He warned the next complaint would be police but we never called again because it was a little bit better for liitle spurts of time.
- Amanda (9/5): -
- Hanson (10/5): Definitely will be coming back again. Favorite place to stay and we love it!!! - The breakfast was awesome. They had a nice selection to choose from. Coffee and orange juice were excellent. Waffles, biscuits & gravy, cereal, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit.... definitely left with a full belly. The kids loved the water park and out door hot tub and the beds were so comfy. 🙂💕 Everything was great!!!!!!!🙂
- Scott (9/5): Great time - The manager was great when checking us in. We got a room on the 3rd floor. It has the lofted ceilings and no one stomping around above us.
The kids had a great time in the pool and loved going outside.
- Jordan (7/5): Comfy - The pool The snack bar in the pool areas was closed and the slides were closed
- Boardman (6/5): - The front desk staff were very accommodating and great personalities to pass by each trip to a different floor! The arcade was a huge rip off , spent 100s of dollars but the games never credited the tickets. The showers were extremely cold and miserable to use.
- Abundiz (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Great stay - Room was great, breakfast good, pool was really great, grandkids had a great time.
- John (8/5): -
- H (9/5): - Helpful staff, renovated rooms look amazing Renovation to front lobby still underway and online menu did not have same options as the menu in the pub.
- Stevie (5/5): Great family mini vacation despite a few little hiccups - The breakfast was amazing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and comfortable. A lot of the arcade games were broken and took our money, the pool got too full, and kids were getting kicked in the face. There were people blaring inappropriate music in the hot tub near children and adults trying to relax.

- brian (5/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): - Loved the waterpark and arcade. Nice restaurant with good food and drinks!
- Shane (9/5): Our stay was great! - The remodeled rooms. The hot tub and bar/restaurant Rooms need more then one trash can

- Calhoun (10/5): -
- Fred (10/5): Excellent!!! I would definitely stay again… - Beautiful property… Great location, right of the main road into town. Big parking lot, friendly staff… I did not experience anything negative during my stay… Thank you!!!
- Jack (8/5): Perfect location and rooms for snowmobile trip. - Rooms were great and they kept our group together and near the parking lot where our trucks/snowmobiles were parked.
Thoroughly enjoyed the large pool area with indoor/outdoor hot tub. Facility was under renovation/construction so some meandering to get around the hotel.
Food menu was limited and not all that great. Free breakfast was marginal.
- Vincent (10/5): -
- Haenel (10/5): We had a very enjoyable stay. We loved the room. - The bedding was so comfortable. It was all good
- Meritxell (10/5): - The pool

- robinsH9041LD (6/5): Clean bedrooms but not liking the sterile remodeling of lobby - My husband and I have been coming here the last 8 years around this time. The postives:
The remodeled hotel rooms are lovely and tastefully decorated with a modern farm house feel. Very clean! Bed too soft and my lower back hurt in the morning.
No carpet in the rooms makes a winter visit with wet boots messy on the laminate flooring. No carpet makes a lot of noise if you're below another room. You can hear doors slam, loud foot steps and talking.
We used to love the lobby the most with the up North lodge cabin feel. The remodeling to modern farmhouse feels unauthentic. We do not like the remodeled conference room which the lobby is going to be like. Too bright and sterile feeling. I noticed past comments of smell but we never noticed that the lobby smelled.
The staff is great, but it seems under staffed. The food at the Pub is very good and the drinks generous. The ambiance since the remodel isn't as cozy so really missing that.
The continental breakfast is good with the basics, waffle maker and yummy biscuits and gravey. The one staff member working very diligently to keep everything stocked and clean.
The water park meets our needs as we only use the hot tub. The water temperature of the hot tub was perfect. We love sitting outside in the hot tub in the cold weather! The jets hit my lower back just right. Disappointed that the rules of the hot tub aren't adhered to. At least half a dozen children under 6 (baby included) and unaccompanied kids under 12 in the whirpool. The unaccompanied children water bombing in the outdoor section of the hot tub shouldn't be allowed. Better yet, minors in the outside portion of hot tub should not be allowed. Adults only to give us time to relax! Love kids but let them splash in the inside portion of the hot tub.
Can't express our sadness about the lobby remodel. I get updating - as in fresh paint, carpet, and furniture. Maybe add "pop up" warm drink bar or a smores bar during winter and fun drinks in summer.
This place would be perfect if everything was left as is with cosmetic updates to water park, bathrooms, new carpet and furniture.
We will be trying other places.

- Karie (6/5): We were bummed. - Outside hot tub Said there was bar and stuff but everything was closed for construction. It would have been nice to know that. We were expecting the amenities we had booked for.
- Renee (9/5): -
- Macarty (9/5): - Hot tub in snow No lobby
- Erica (7/5): -
- Erica (8/5): - Rooms were nice newly remodeled Bar restaurant closed early
- Amy (9/5): -
- Kelly (2/5): -
- Ryan (6/5): - Accommodation of really late arrival Pull out bed was dirty
Breakfast was alright and the breakfast attendee was a little rude.
- Madelynn (10/5): -
- Jamie (10/5): It was great! - Everyone was very friendly and we had a great stay. Will definitely be back!
- Nichole (9/5): Nice place clean good amenities - Tasty, could have used maybe scrambled eggs. Some of the games where not working correctly.
- Scott (8/5): Beautiful hotel in beautiful area - Room and hot tub Breakfast could have more variety
Too many kids without supervision
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Lawrence (9/5): -
- Timothy (4/5): Very very boring - Room was nice TV was wortless Breakfast is a joke. Food was ok. Pizza awful
- Sheri (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): - Wide variety of breakfast food. Ample seating.
- cindy (10/5): we will definitely be back - it was very family friendly the waterpark had something for everyone it was a little pricey but then again we went on a friday 😊so theres that
- Christine (9/5): - Room was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would prefer sink in toilet area or one inside bathroom one outside.
- Sheri (10/5): Above our expectations! Very nice! - The atmosphere around the lobby was beautiful. The rooms were very nice. The hot tub & slides were fun! The sink in the room instead of bathroom.
- Elizabeth (7/5): The hotel was good and I would consider staying again. - My kids enjoyed the pool and balcony. The room was nice. The bathroom floorplan is strange and the door gets in the way. There was a game in the arcade broken, but not labeled as out of order so my kids wasted credits. Breakfast seating/organization was a bit chaotic.
- Michael (9/5): This was a short stay and it met the needs of a clean and comfortable place to sleep. - The hotel was clean and parking was easy. No issues with check in and check out. The breakfast was mediocre. Some additional fresh fruit or some warm dishes would help.
- Melissa (9/5): Wonderful! Would recommend. - The water park provided entertainment for the kids all weekend = no fighting or complaints of boredom!
- David (10/5): -
