Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): London bolt-hole - ideal - Allowed us early check in and to leave tour car parked for several hours after check in. Neat, tidy and a good price. Easy access location for tube into central London. Friendly and helpful. Will book again when next down in London
- Bob (6/5): Reasonable value - I chose this hotel as it was quite close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where the start of the Prudential Ride London 100 cycle sportive was to take place. By the relatively late time that I entered there was not a lot of choice nearby. Some of the reviews seemed unfavourable, leaving me a little concerned. However, I found I need not have worried.
We managed to get one of the limited number of parking spaces, which helped with unloading all the bike gear.
In all we met three receptionists and they were all friendly and helpful.
It must be said that our twin bed en-suite room was small with barely enough room for the bike, but it was clean, quiet and comfortable and provided for our needs. There was plenty of piping hot water. We didn't sample the breakfasts.
The hotel's position a ten minute walk from Leytonstone Underground made it convenient for my wife and I to get to and from Stratford and London.
It should not be compared with big, expensive hotels, but it proved to suit our needs well and could be considered good value in view of its location.
- reshan (2/5): Over crowded - It was noisy, over crowded, 5-6 indian men were cooking in the kitchen, no privacy
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Das Hotels in den London nicht die besten sind, war mir schon bekannt, aber so schlecht hatte ich nicht erwartet. Kein Service. Muffig, total durchgelegene und dreckige Matratzen. Komplette Baustelle.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very poor booking system - it took so long to check in
- B D (2/5): Not good - Place had work being done unorganized
- Aaron (4/5): Clean and tidy shame about the noise - Hotel was clean and comftable. And a cheap price. Only problem was walls and floors paper thin. Kids running about banging doors till 10pm And after that a group of adults presumably the owners friends and family banging about chatting and playing music till 1am. Didn't sleep too great to be honest.
- Jackie (8/5): The staff's were very friendly and ready to help - The rooms I booked was very comfortable cleaner and neat.
- denise (6/5): Reasonable price and convenient position. - One night stay. Basic accommodation but room was clean and comfortable bed on a quiet road.
- M (10/5): Good value comfortable - Stayed here a lot now for business travelled from Liverpool. Easy going nice staff. Good for commuting to all areas.
- Barney (6/5): Was ok, bare basics but comfy enough. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very basic, no kettle, teas or coffee etc. Location is good for transport as buses and underground are close by so it made my stay very easy to get around London. Would recommend for a roof over your head for a night or two. Only a couple of miles from Stratford too so it's handy if you are going to any events nearby. Had no issues with regards to security of items either, CCTV in site so felt safe.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed - No good at all
- Jane (6/5): Basic Hotel if you want a room in Leytonstone - Cheap and clean. Staff friendly and helpful on check-in.
Good Wi-Fi connection.
Parking is free, but for 4 cars only.
Use of kitchen (cooker, microwave, etc.), dining room, sun room and (well maintained) garden included.
Free tea and coffee available in the kitchen.
- Patricia (4/5): manor house - Ok a very basic hotel no frills bedding was clean no tea / coffee making facilities in room just a kitchen to make and prepare a continental breakfast of toast, jam cereal
- martin paul (4/5): Hotel in leytonstone - Room was nice and it was a pity that a shower was not in your room and you had to share it with other people
- Bianca (2/5): Girls night out. - You really get what you paid for, the room was dirty, smelling of cigarette. We checked in at around 2pm the shower room was dirty, couldn't take a shower after a long drive. We had to knock ourself out with alcohol before sleeping because of a smelling carpet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice area - I did enjoy the place and the warm welcome they gave it to me and i will love to go back there again
- Verified traveler (6/5): North east london - Its a mix between a hostel and a hotel with the shared showers and common kitchen. The hotel was nice although the shared showers make it more like a private room in a hostel. Also, use the showers at night or afternoon to ensure that there is good water pressure and hot water.
- FS (6/5): Not bad for price - Water pressure upstairs was really poor. Had to go downstairs to have a shower.
Everything else was fine for the price paid
- Chris (4/5): Comfortable bed but... - I didn't expect much from this hotel as the photo says quite a lot but I needed a place at the last minute and the price, while I felt was high for the accommodation, was reasonable compared to the competition. The location is about 1K from the underground station, which is a bit of a walk if you have luggage, and it is in a residential neighbourhood. Basically it use to be 2 separate houses that have been converted into a hotel. The room was clean and the bed was nice and I had free WiFi. I'm very glad that my room I had a private bath as some did not. I found myself waiting to locate someone to assist me on several occasions as the front desk is off to the side in a private room and is usually unattended. The staff was nice enough though and did assist me, once I found them. Breakfast was "help yourself" and "cleanup after yourself." (including doing the dishes) Fortunately I found a decent cafe next to the station to get a good coffee and croissant.
