Pokoje czyste, może trochę zaniedbane (np. drzwi od łazienki zamykające się z oporem) ale widać że starają się dbać o czystość, codziennie sprzątane pokoje. Śniadania - omijać szerokim łukiem. Ograniczona ilość na tyle że dorosły dostaje przydział jajecznicy z 1 (jednego!) jajka, czasem jest masło a nie ma chleba/bułek, czasem jest chleb ale nie ma masła. Po zgłoszeniu sytuacji w recepcji było lepiej przez jeden dzień - potem znów przydział minimum. Gniazdko suszarki w łazience nie działało - musieliśmy improwizować. Poprosiliśmy na recepcji o zamówienie taksówki na dzień wylotu z Dominikany - jeszcze później upewniliśmy się że została zamówiona i zostało to potwierdzone. W dniu wyjazdu nie doczekaliśmy się taksówki, recepcja pusta, telefon na recepcji więc nikt nie odbiera/odpisuje - o 6:30 rano zostaliśmy bez transportu. Gdyby nie śniadania i sytuacja z taksówką na pewno opinia byłaby zdecydowanie lepsza.

Breakfast was included in our stay. Although the breakfast was included the offerings were the same for 7 days. Fruit, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, plantains, cheese, fired tofu and fried spam. A staff member dishes it out to you in limited quantities.

• Stephane (4/5): - Le petit dej est insuffisant (pas suffisamment de beurre, de toasts, de café etc.) et les jeunes qui s'en occupent sont vraiment désagréables. La chambre n'est pas conforme aux photos, avec tout particulièrement une salle de bain et des wc dégueulasses, dont le nettoyage de toute évidence n'est pas fait, avec des serviettes non changées régulièrement (il a fallu aller en trouver par nos propres moyens au 3ème jour). Dans cette salle de bain, le bac de la douche est cassé, ce qui fait que l'eau s'infiltre et se répand sous les lames du parquet flottant (qui pour le coup flotte réellement dès qu'on marche dessus. Nous avons prévenu en partant, après avoir finalement compris d'où ca venait). Il y a de la moisissure dans la chambre, des moustiques écrasés sur les murs, et de la saleté un peu de partout. Le ménage est un concept ici plus qu'une réalité (regarder dessous le lit a été une épreuve tellement c'est sale). Impossible de se baigner dans la piscine tellement l"eau n'est pas claire : une piscine ça se filtre (chlore, brome, sel, ....), surtout dans cette partie du globe avec ces chaleurs. Le jardin et la situation sont géniaux par contre. Judith, à l'accueil, est d'une grande gentillesse quant à elle, elle est vraiment formidable et reste le meilleur atout de l'hôtel.

The beach itself is very well maintained. I would like to praise the receptionist, who was extremely friendly and helpful, and enthusiastically explained all the services and the restaurant. The rooms are average and mostly furnished with older equipment. There are far too few parking spaces in front of the hotel. The restaurant is a disaster. Breakfast is served cold—fried eggs and bread are brought out pre-prepared on plates and covered with plastic wrap. If you choose this hotel, do not book breakfast. The restaurant staff is also completely unfriendly. We waited 30 minutes to be served and then left. It’s a shame when breakfast ruins your holiday. The water smells like sewage, which makes showering unpleasant, and your hair continues to smell afterward. Would I recommend staying at this hotel? No, I wouldn’t.
• Estonian traveller (8/5): Regarding price and quality - excellent accommodation - Very happy with the hotel, 10 min walk from the center. Dominican style breakfast in the seaside restaurant across the road is very nutritious. The rooms are spacious and clean. Yes, it is falling apart here and there and needs renovation, but it didn't bother us. The staff is kind and helpful. Hopefully the staff has also changed the battery in the smoke detector by now, which beeped for four days! Nothing negative to bring out.

Non c'erano dolci, nemmeno dei biscotti o merendine confezionate. Alla richiesta di acqua intorno alle 23.00 ci è stato detto di andare al minimarket dai guardiani notturni... Lasciare delle bottiglie in reception durante la notte o mettere un distributore automatico potrebbe essere una soluzione. Prezzi escursioni +30% rispetto a tour operatori locali. TV non funzionante

Creo que deben hablar con él personal muy mala la atención y desordenadamente. En ve de ir a pasar un momento agradable lo que perdí mucho tiempo y tuve que irme molesto y con hambre. • Jean (7/5): Great. - The location is excellent! It’s an easy walk to town and it’s right on the beach. Restaurant is on the beach snd has very good food. Everything was great except for an invasion of ants we had one afternoon. Suddenly I looked down at the floor and there was a black stripe of literally millions of tiny ants marching across the floor! The staff was VERY prompt about taking care of the problem but the smell from the insecticide used was overpowering. We retreated to our balcony and opened all the doors. I don’t know where the ants ended up, but the entire colony disappeared down a small crack in the sliding door track to the balcony in about 5-7 minutes. After the spraying we never saw another bug. It was something we had never seen there in the 3 other times we have stayed there. We will stay there again if we get back to Las Terrenas ! The people who work there are so friendly and helpful! Location, price, wonderful staff, great food.

Parking was easy, across the street where the restaurant is located which is also where the beach is located, fairly convenient. Less than a 10 minute walk from the town and restaurants, one block away from a market/convenience shop. Overall, great and easy stay for the price paid!

Aunque se puede decir que es bastante asequible ( quizás esto debería darnos una pista), aún así, no cumple unos estándares mínimos de lo que se espera en un hotel a pie de playa en el paraíso de Las Terrenas.

• Mayra (6/5): - It was my second time staying at Costarena. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. The young lady who checked us in was very kind and responsive. our check-in process was smooth. However, our air conditioners were not working properly, and it took almost an hour for the maintenance person to come check-it out and that was after we went to the front desk to ask for an update. There was also an issue with our bathroom door. It would not stay closed. The hotel should make sure rooms are up to par with the basics before checking the guests in. Other than that, the rooms were comfortable and clean. We got the apartment unit and the breakfast was included. My first time staying at Costarena the breakfast was buffet style which was decent. Now, breakfast is served at the Costarena restaurant "El Kiosko" across from the hotel. The staff at El Kisko during breakfast time needs a lot of improvement and possibly to be retrained, they act very different from the rest of the staff. The staff was a bit rude and did not care to explain that the fruits and drinks were self-served which was hard to tell because the area was not equipped with plates and cups. It looked like it was part of the bar. The breakfast was very limited. The restaurants lunch/dinner menu has great variety available for purchase. The outside space is well maintained. The pool chairs and tables should be changed they're old. The hotel is in a great area easy to walk to nearby beaches and other restaurants.

In this hotel nothing work, I didn’t have internet, cable and the tv wasn’t working neither, air conditioner wasn’t working even know they try to fix. When I went to complain about the air conditioner in my room and with the two other reservation that I have with the same issues the receptionist was rude and tell us that we can go to another hotel if we want it, very unprofessional to make long history short, I would not recommend this hotel no even to my worst enemy, please stay away from this hotel.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good value. Comfortable stay. - We were greeted in the lobby by Carmen, who was a gracious and delightful host. She arranged packed breakfast for us when we had to leave early and would miss the time. We did have to ask for things for our room. Housekeeping did not always provide. Service in the restaurant for breakfast was great. It is a good place with good value overall
• Jon (6/5): - Overall it was a great stay. I dont like to complaint, but i like when hotels worry more about their clients. My rooms ac was not working. I heard someone’s ac unit was leaking water.
• Steven (8/5): - *Would be exelent if they had more variety of breakfast *Needs a Parking lot.
