Guest Reviews
- Dianna (7/5): Ok for a quick overnight. - Convenient location with patio door access to outside lot from room. Mattress cheap
- Varney (3/5): -
- Amethyst (4/5): Should be low budget cost - They had a patio sliding door in back where you can park. Second entrance on the ground floor. That my parking spot was taken and had to drive all the way at the other end of the building. Booking made a room mistake and there wasn't 2 rooms available and hotel said they would discount me for inconvenience but didn't. Paid way too much for one room that had sticky floors and cobwebs on ceiling.

- Mitchell (10/5): -
- Fisher (3/5): - Water was luke warm. Pubic hairs in bathtub . I only rented a room there to take a nice hot bath and there was zero hot water. This has been an issue for years. Every time I've stayed there!
- LANCE (10/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): - Rooms were very neat and clean. Rooms were updated and very nice. I would stay here again.

- Tasha (7/5): -
- Rebecca (8/5): It was a last minute decision to stay there and we will probably stay there again. - The Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Also it was clean. There was not much of a breakfast. I eat a low carb diet and there were no low carb options.

- rebeccamG8390ZB (10/5): Unexpected gem - The bed was surprisingly comfortable, sheets were very soft, bathroom was nice and clean. I definitely feel like I got more than what I paid for, in terms of quality.
- John (8/5): We had a good stay - Trail side Not enough towels and pillows
- NOEL (7/5): Value of the property was good, bring your own food to eat. - breadfast was terrible. gluten free cereal, or cereal with nuts. both bad choices. soggy waffles with sugar free syrup, yuck. no fresh fruit, but coffee was good, no yogurt. bagels were ok. We ended up going to McDonalds for breakfast as my husband was not satisfied with his choices.
- Diane (8/5): -
- Frank (10/5): Enjoyed the stay clean and comfortable - The breakfast was convenient and quick. Coffee good
- Domanski (9/5): It was excellent - The jacuzzi tub was awesome

- Curtis (8/5): Convenient location and friendly staff - Convenient location on M-115 near M-55. It had a breakfast room away from the main entrance. Comfortable room. The parking lot was a little tight. The breakfast selection was limited.
- Jill (3/5): Downhill. - We've stayed at this Econo lodge the last 4 years and this year we were pretty disappointed by the whole thing. Breakfast in the past has been a selection of coffee, tea, beverages, hard boiled eggs, baked goods, and a pancake machine. This year, everything was out of stock when our group entered the breakfast room other than some bread and the coffee. Our room didn't have any trash cans in it, the television wasn't hooked up, and there was no hot water for hot showers. We were told to wait for a bit to let the water heaters catch up, but an hour later the water was still not hot.
- Nomad04758993264 (10/5): Nicest Econo Lodge around - Great rooms for the price. Good breakfast and very safe. If you get a chance to stay there you can get discount to Waterfront Restaurant next door and more!
- Lauryn (8/5): -
- Saxman (9/5): Fall color. - Close to nice restaurant. Could have had extra towle for hair.
- Gibson (9/5): - Very nice place good location Breakfast was ok
- Cello12345 (6/5): Overnight on a budget - This budget motel is across the busy highway from the lake. Rooms in the front of the hotel have a lake view (of sorts), but road noise to contend with (we opted for the quieter back side.) It shares a parking lot with an excellent restaurant (Burke's Waterfront). For a small, budget place, we were pleasantly surprised that the room had 2 chairs and a small table, and a refrigerator with freezer (perfect to recharge our ice packs to use in the cooler next day.) The rooms have two doors - one to the outside, and one into the hallway. Parking is immediately outside of the room.
Several things to note: (1) the front desk staff is behind glass - not sure if there's a security issue or if this is left over from Covid days. (2) The beds are very squeaky - each time someone gets up, it's impossible not to make a loud metallic sound. (3) The shower and toilet both leaked, and we learned that most of the rooms have similar problems. Significant maintenance is needed on the plumbing. (4) Don't expect much at the free breakfast. Coffee is good, but the four muffins on the tray go quickly.
- Bailey (6/5): - Spacious. The room itself was fairly clean. The lobby was dirty and unattended.Waited 10 minutes for someone to come and check us in. And that only happened after we called the hotel number. The whole hotel smells like weed. We went to breakfast at 7 am on Sunday. There was hardly anything left. When we asked the worker where the food was, we were told all the Hispanics carried it off .
- Mike (10/5): - I grew up in Cadillac and every time I come home I try to stay here. Great staff and great rooms.
- Nancy (4/5): - So much noise in the hallway and the pot smell kept us the majority of the night. Morning staff just ignored our concerns. The breakfast was almost non-existent. I wouldn't return to this hotel.
- Susan (8/5): - The price was very reasonable and the room was clean except for the floors which we noticed walking on it with bare socks made the socks dirty. The heater fan was quite loud in room 119 and sounded the same even at lower settings. But in general, we like the location close to the lakes and state park and would stay there again.
- Darwin (10/5): - Very good
- Shelley (4/5): - Room was terrible. After I signed papers saying I couldn’t smoke in the room or I’d be charged I went up to my room to sleep & it reeked of smoke! It was 1am when we checked in so I didn’t wanna throw a fit over it. It was so terrible I got the worst migraine from an Allergy flare up over the smell all night. The pillows were rock hard. The fridge that wouldn’t get cold & stunk so bad when I opened it sat there & clicked all night long. Seriously got no sleep at all! I was thankful I only booked 1 night there. The outside balcony was full of cobwebs and there was even one in the doorway to go out there. The best thing about the place was the new shower in our room that was clean.
- david (8/5): -
- Ernestine (4/5): - There was a problem with the plumbing in the shower in the bathroom. Water never stopped running. The front desk told us that has been going on for a while. The owner hasn’t fixed in a long time.
- Corey (8/5): - Clean room
- Michael (10/5): -
- flexman (9/5): - Friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient. Highly recommend
- RENE EVANS (9/5): It was great. We will stay there again. - Everything was fine. We've stayed there before and enjoyed it. All was fine.
- Christina (7/5): If you are just breezing through, decent value for the cost. - Close to where we wanted Hallway smelled strongly of smoke. Room was extremely hot upon entry and need hours of AC to cool down.
- Lysne (9/5): -
- Benedikt (8/5): -
- Alessia (6/5): Buon rapporto qualità prezzo - Buon rapporto qualità prezzo
- Judy (7/5): -
- CONRAD (10/5): - Older property but appears to be clean. Think it is over priced for what it is but the rate was inline with the others in the area so I guess it is the going rate for the area.
- Khaled (4/5): Overpriced - Room size and the large bathtub - Spider webs on and around the room’s external door
- We booked a room with a partial lake view, but the lake is so far away across the street, that you can hardly even see it
- Poor breakfast .. no eggs, and only cold readymade wrapped items in the fridge including individual waffles and pancakes, cream cheese.
- Nonstop noise from road traffic
- We paid $200 for a room not worth more than $75
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, affordable - Bed was firm yet comfortable. Clean, simple layout.
- Bradley (8/5): -
- Bentley (5/5): -
- Robert (4/5): - You get what you pay for and this place is over priced for what you get.
- Jim (8/5): - We had a room that smelled like smoke and they changed us to a different room much better we liked being able to sit outside our rooms in lawn chairs and relax
- Sherri (7/5): -
- N9158UPcharlesk (10/5): Convenient, Quiet, Clean in Cadillac. - We were tired when we pulled in but Crystal, the nice & cheerful young woman at the desk, was kind & put us in a better frame of mind. Room was quiet, clean, comfy — just what we needed. Great restaurant next door offers 10% off if you show room key. Across the street from the lake & an ice cream parlor. Short five-minute drive into heart of town. Easy in & out, good price, glad we stayed here.
- Sara (8/5): - Really cute hotel in a great location, right across from the lake! The front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming, and everything was super clean. The only downside was the air conditioning, which was pretty loud. But overall, it was a lovely stay and I’d definitely come back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok but not worth the price - Arrived five minutes early and they wouldn't check you in because the room wasn’t ready. The guy wasn’t friendly but when I checked out the older lady was super sweet. Breakfast was super simple. Low water pressure in the shower.
- Gregory (8/5): Very good - Price and cleanliness Nothing
- Raymond (3/5): I won’t be back promise - I did not like Jus dirty breakfast was false advertisement what a disappointment dirty room smells like curry in lobby staff rude jus terrible service
- Donald (6/5): - Just a very basic room and that’s it. No pool, hot tub, etc.
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean. It would’ve been nice to have a couple more towels. I like the spaciousness. Lots of room to move around. I guess the one complaint was that the air conditioner was very very noisy. So noisy that you had to keep the TV at full blast to hear it.
- Mike (7/5): Decent to good. Nicr people - Nice people. Mattress was shoddy.
- Chelsea (10/5): - Clean and friendly staff
- Jackie (8/5): Very good -
- Lora (7/5): Good -
- Todd (10/5): - Quiet, Clean, friendly service
- Osullivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Calvin (8/5): Very good - Location is great. Breakfast was under stocked, very little to select from, ran out of food and no paper plates
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room air conditioner was very loud. The bed and pillows were hard.
- Tim (10/5): - It was close to restaurants.
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (7/5): Good - The room was clean. The breakfast left much to desire! There was no coffee and we mentioned it and he said he would get more which never did come plus one of the bagels a lady took out had mold on it.
- Jasmine (7/5): Convenient Stay - Location was very convenient - just off the Highway on our way to Traverse City.
Front desk was very friendly.
Bathroom was clean - water temperature & pressure was good. The sheets unfortunately had stains and didn’t look clean or washed.
The sink didn’t drain well. It’s an older property and needs some work but at the highly discounted rate for a quick overnight stop it served its purpose.
- Ken (6/5): - The bed was not good. No coffee maker in the room. Because we reserved through Expedia we got no senior or military discount.
- Ken (10/5): Best bang for the buck - I love the fact of how clean the rooma are everytime we stay there. I always try to get a ground floor room due to bad knees. They always try to accommodate me ,if possible. It is so nice to walk out the front door to your car, or walk the inside hallway to the office or breakfast room Most of the pillows are a little too thick and firm for my taste. I bring my own pillow. Just a personal preference
- Kathy (8/5): - The guests upstairs were very loud until after 1am. Office staff did address problem in very timely manner.
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional - Overall, everything was great. The staff was great & the view was great too.
- Melissa (1/5): Yikes - Nothing Floor felt gritty and dirty, bathroom was roughly renovated. Our shower bar in shower was broken and "fixed" with packing tape. Continental breakfast was meager and non-appetizing. Will not stay here again.
- Ernestine (10/5): Grandparents visiting grandchildren. - We go to this particular EconoLodge in Cadillac, MI often to see our grandchildren. We noticed the improvements & loved it. We had a great time there.
- Ken (8/5): Very good - Good continental breakfast! TV was loud in the room nextdoor ALL night!
- Duane (8/5): Affordable option - Nice convenient location for our ultimate trip to Traverse City. Much better price than Traverse City where the annual Cherry Festival was starting
- Holly (10/5): - Easy check in and out
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nora (8/5): - Very nice room. The bathroom was clean and nice. Was a little disappointed in the selection of the complimentary breakfast, but it wasn’t terrible.
- Doug (8/5): Great value, good sleep. - Updated rooms. Friendly staff. Clean room and area. Direct access to outside on ground floor. Nothing
- Barry (9/5): Superb -
- Drucilla (10/5): - Extremely clean, given options for room (front/back and first/second floor. Professional desk person - easy check in. Excellent restaurant just a walk across the parking lot with Northern Michigan whitefish and walleye on the menu.
