Guest Reviews
- Rocko_ca (3/5): Never Again - nice staff Cold room , parking lot not plowed . Room seemed right out of the 70s
- TAMMY (4/5): We will never stay there again. Staff is great. - The location was perfect. They say queen size beds and they were double beds. The bathroom doesn’t have a fan, so room gets all humid when you shower. The bathroom was disgusting. Walls/ceiling need to be washed. The non slip bath mat was moldy looking. The shower leaks on the floor when you shower, the shower curtain is not big enough. The toilet runs all the time. The window to the room was dirty. The blankets are thin and old.
- Ellen (9/5): -
- leannev499 (2/5): Do not stay! Horrific! - Absolutely horrible Hotel! Disgusting rooms and bathrooms tubs are awful. There's sandpaper on the bottom they're painted over with a brush. The railings and the walkway are literally falling apart the cement is disintegrating the railings are rusted and broken. And don't even get me started about the breakfast in the morning or lack thereof. There are so many beautiful hotels to stay at in Fox Creek I would highly recommend those. This is a dump. My husband complained about the bathtub and they put him in another room which was just as bad and then by the third room he just gave up because all of the bathtubs are disgusting. The toilets are old and leaking the shower heads spray water all over the place all over the floor.
- orrettc2025 (10/5): Worth the price - Awesome staff and service, did not encounter any problems during my staff. I love staying here when I am this side of the city
- Wendy (8/5): -
- Evan (6/5): -
- Daniel (8/5): 2025 August - Place was clean and food was good, access to room was failing and the concrete step was sticking up. Big tripping hazard walking onto top deck, room doesn’t have any openable windows and bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust fan, room was unbearable at night had to open the door to change the air in room. No air conditioning in the room either. Room was cleaned every three days so bring your own shampoo and soap supplies are limited.
- Richard (6/5): Still haven’t received my receipt - Not a very pleasant door
- Reese (10/5): - Was a great stay
- 106bradf (2/5): Terrible stay - Worst stay I've ever had! Staff were negligent in cleaning and no food for breakfast. Also false advertising! Advertised 3 meals a day but wouldn't honor it! Because their hotel was fully booked they wouldn't honor their advertised free meals and they weren't willing to compromise. I also got charged a late check out ony card when the room was being occupied that evening by my cross shift!
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): It’s a little chilly. - Meh. It’s better than sleeping in your truck. Bring a blanket or layer up if you don’t want to freeze. The bedding is worse than my dog’s camping blankets.
- Victor (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (2/5): - Smelt and tasted like Lysol when I went in the room
The bed was as hard as the floor
the pillows were thick and hard
The shower had no pressure, was the right temp, then got ice cold, then extremely hot I almost burnt myself
Towels were crusty
Room was outdated
Tv was old as I am
Paid 150 bucks and now I’m staying at a play for 85 and it’s waaaaay better
Place is a dive and should be ashamed to be apart of the Wyndham name,
Will never stay at a super 8 again
- Dean (8/5): - Hotel was easily accessible and provided good accommodations for my short stay.
- brendasG365AY (2/5): Disgusting Restaurant BW Restaurant and Lounge! - This is not about the hotel but the BW Restaurant that is associated with the hotel. This is absolutely the worst restaurant - the service was deplorable, (see pictures below) for the food situation. Onion soup was from a can and had a tinny taste, hot water was brought in a plastic cup with a plastic cup and a straw. A girl with a hoodie walking around in and out of kitchen, clearly no service standards. If I was management at the super 8, I would be embarrassed to have this restaurant associated with my hotel.
- Tashia (2/5): - No heat, very run down
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Dave (8/5): Very good stay. - Best value for the dollar in Fox Creek.
King suite room is massive. Great bed, friendly staff.
- Dana (7/5): Good -
- Karen (10/5): - Room was very cold. Hardly any blankets.
- Dennis (10/5): Excellent - Excellent Excellent value for money
- Paul (10/5): It was all good - It was really good .good quality. And selection All good it met my expectations excellent
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Josie (6/5): Pleasant - We didn't get to eat and the location was fine That they give us smoking room when I have small children I didn't like that smell at all not good for my kids
- marijune (10/5): - Staff are very nice..i love the online check in and check out..more lights please.the room is dark.
- Duane (6/5): - Good
- Mae (8/5): - We had a good stay at Super 8 when we are in Fox Creek, the only concern we had is the microwave oven which they did not clean and the smells sting once you open it. Otherwise, staff and breakfast options are commendable.
- Kurt (9/5): Love Super 8 hotels. Very Friendly staff - Love Super 8 hotels. There was a draft or open seem in under the door to the room. Needs new door seal.
- Surinder (8/5): - The service was good.
- Kurt (9/5): Great hotel. Love Super 8 hotels - The front desk lady was very friendly and even called my room to check to see if everything was good and if I needed anything else.
Great service
- Cody (10/5): - It was fine
- Robert (2/5): - Breakfast is terrible never cooked enough waffle maker doesn’t work properly . Room has a wet stain at door from rain dripping in and rust jacked door frame . Moldy wall at door . Great for the lungs . No working ventilation in bathroom .
- Stacie (4/5): - There were stains on the bed covers.
Housekeeping also tried to come
into the room, even with the sign on the door.
- Jonathan (6/5): - Could not control temperature in room was quite chilly
- Jennifer (2/5): - The staff was nice and that was the only nice thing. When I first walked into my room I noticed it was cold. There was no lock on the door so that was a fun, the furnace didn’t work. It was set at 30 degrees and nothing was happing. I read the note that said if you want cold set it to 10. If you want warm set it to 20 so that’s what I did. Nothing happened. I pulled back the covers on both beds and put the blankets all on one bed so I could sleep warm. I turn on the tv and it played for 3 mins before saying no signal. The next day the front desk told me that it doesn’t work if the weather is bad. It had rained earlier that day but was not storming when I arrived or left. I understand it was cheap room but basic cleaning would be nice. The light switch for the bathroom was covered in dirt.
- Leonard (6/5): - Nighttime front desk, lady didn’t seem to care when the satellite went out for the cable TV was kind of rude when I asked her what was going on
- Warren (8/5): Very good - I love the mattress. I like how clean it was how great the staff were. Nothing to complain about from me I had a great stay
- Singh (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (7/5): Good - Just no ac in room
- Warren (8/5): Very good - I liked the price and the free breakfast. Also the convenient location. The smell of my room. Always make sure you make the correct reservations.Because I accidentally pushed the smoking room.So my fault not the hotel's fault.
- Cathy (10/5): - Our room was more than we expected! Everything was so clean and the bed was so comfy! Would definitely stay here again!!
- Naythan (2/5): - No ac, broken ice machines, can hwar trucks all night from outside, fridge kept sqealing all night, lumpy pillows and bed with a divit in it from previous people wearing it out.
- Uriel (6/5): - Heat is all interconnected. I slept with my door open most nights because it was too hot.
- Cornell (8/5): Very good - Car to door access Bed was a little lumpy
- Percy (8/5): - It was good place to stay. It was convenient for me . Easy parking restaurant on site . The counter person was good to deal with.
- Curtis (8/5): - Slept
- Evan (2/5): - The rooms have no windows that open which makes the rooms extremely hot inside We had the fan going and it was extremely hard to get to sleep. We ended up leaving at 5am because it was not bearable to stay in the room because it was so hot. I mentioned it to the guy at the front desk and he looked at me and just shrugged his shoulders. The lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful.
- Patrick (1/5): Terrible - Nothing That you had to go to front desk every time because non of there key cards worked. When I complained I was told to bad. Very
Rude service highly recommend to book else where total invasion of privacy
- Gabrielle (8/5): Great staff - Check in was very easy staff was great. Only issue experienced was the room was very hot and we could not seem to get it to cool down even with turning the heat right down… had to open the door several times just to get comfortable
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacky (10/5): - quiet
- Denise (8/5): - Fan not working in bathroom
Lots of pot holes for back of building units
- I3908PKshanef (2/5): Bad - I had to clean my own shower in order to use the shower and when I complained it was excuse after excuse they said they would correct issue but the lack of people that know how to run a hotel has left a bad taste and I will and my company will not be staying here again
- Justin (8/5): Very good -
- loudl662 (2/5): Unhappy to say the least. - Terrible breakfast since 130 a night is not enough to afford basic milk for cereal let alone no waffle mix for the cooker. And the eggs and sausage are the cheap precooked style, like extra cheap type.
Apparently the local grocery store “won’t supply them”. Then days with out a cleaning person being available. Then when they are available they miss my room tho I have an agreed I leave for night shift. Staff are very polite. I hope they find jobs else since it’s a matter of time this operation looses complete profitability.
- Paul (10/5): - Good breakfast decent restaurant. Good home base for fly fishing
- taramC5528KJ (4/5): Nice but when u have issues with the main function of the hotel you need to give a discount - My son and I went late at night as part of our travel/move back to Ontario from yukon. We arrived late at night like probably around 330/4 am. Although we only intended to have showers and a few hours of sleep we were booked in and the early check in fee was waved. When we arrived it took about 15 min to get hotwater. Due to a water emergency the water was turned off. No discount given, no coupon for meals given as advertised. They were willing to take a deposit but waved it which was nice, as I lot my credit card in my truck. Staff was nice but given our main reason to be there wS shower, I felt like a discount could have been given.
Room was clean, no idea how the free breakfast was - we were sleeping. Staff were pleasant
- Marilyn (10/5): - Checkin was simple.
Very quiet room away from highway noise .
Pleasant staff in the restaurant.
- Kimberly (6/5): Pleasant -
- MUKTIMOY (10/5): - Ok
- Cathie (8/5): It was part of my jouney. - It was good. The hash browns
- Elisa (3/5): Heater didn't work and it was cold. - The heater didn't work, it was cold all night.
- FlowerE2 (10/5): Goodnight to sleep - It was a good place to stay over, after having a long day working. Also the Wyndham program is a bonus. If I return to Fox Creek, I will stay again there since I felt so comfortable and I feel I did a good choice 👍
- Oleksandr (8/5): Very good -
- Christina (8/5): - Friendly staff. Quick check in. All amenities needed.
- krystalf352 (10/5): great experience - Had a Great stay, the food was great, the staff is great, clean and friendly, very inviting environment. Will stay again and recommend to friends and family on their travels through from creek Alberta
- Syed (8/5): - Value for your money
- James (6/5): - The rooms need some work. Bathroom was I rough shape.
- Tailleur (7/5): Good -
- Kurt (5/5): Passable - Availability The hotel had heating issues... Thermostat. In my room didn't work. Had to use a space heater to keep room warm.
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Justin (2/5): - The smell in the hallways
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tyler (6/5): Some disappointment - Friendly staff, great location, quiet rooms. Restaurant and lounger were closed for a week due to heating problems.
Lobby was very smelly, possibly from sewage but unsure what.
- Jiahe (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (7/5): Good value for cost. Unfortunately no air conditioning in the room is a deal breaker. - Breakfast was ok. Would have been better if there had been a selection of fruit (not just apples) and some yogurt. Rooms did not have air conditioning (central air for entire building only). Room was very stuffy and hot.
- Rizwan (8/5): - Good value for the money
- Kurt (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne T (8/5): - It was very nice ,thank you.
- Angella (1/5): Bad -
- searchnrescue (2/5): Lies, cheats, theft, breach of contract, evasion of corporate - I was a long term guest for work purposes. I would have continued to be were it not for the permanent manager replacing the temporary manager of several months. On an extension of my stay by several months they crippled by credit card with a hold of several thousand dollars which took weeks to clear. An agreement for manual only payments was established. Payments were made and if more was required, when asked was provided. Then the manager lied saying that the corporate offices put in a new system and withdrawing nearly $6000, wiping out the credit card to devastating effect. A payment of $1000 was lost and I had to show my own credit card statements to prove that they had taken the $1000. Once done, the manager refused to recognize the payment until he confirmed his bank received the funds. So whoever got a free $1000 for several weeks (or permanently) was never brought to account. Corporate HQ says repeatedly that they are not involved nor will be involved in any billing issues. Legal has refused to provide contact information for initiating action against the chain. Hallways had smell of rotting stagnant mold ridden water, carpets had stains, vending machines were broken and out of order. Stay away at all costs. Unethical, immoral, lying, cheating, criminal presentations by managers. Staff would be requested to have bills made or messages forwarded to management and near always never happened. Packages delivered and desk staff would deny reception of package only to have another shift confirm the package had arrived. The list is long. Under current management this is a horrible place - stay away - stay away - stay away!
- Garret (4/5): - Needs serious renovations
Front staff was very nice
Breakfast included was pre wrapped boiled eggs and children sized cereal box. Juice machine broken. Coffee machine broken.
- vonda (8/5): - The access to the community
- Judy (8/5): Had a driving break - The room was big and the bed inviting. It was a warm day and no air conditioning. The remote would turn on Cable Box but not TV. She came down and tried 2 others, had to manual turn it on and off. She worked 3-11shift and no other person on duty.
- Mike (6/5): - no fans in the washrooms or air conditioning in any room.
- Soledad (6/5): Needs improvement - The last day booking is terrible. The fat chick/lady in the front desk put him in the old section of the hotel even though the front area where he can see his vehicle and can easily go out is not all occupied. The girl in the desk is grouchy and can’t even say hi and smile.
The restaurant closes at 9:30 instead of 10. Him and his crews are trying so hard to be there before 10 and by the time they get there it’s closed.
The last room he stayed there’s an empty water bottle
In the table and some garbage in the garbage can. That part of the hotel smells funny he said. Smells like beer
- timothy (8/5): - Limited TV chanels
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean bed, quiet stay. I called to ask what their complementary breakfast included and I was informed that it would be a hot/cold breakfast. Apparently the hot part referred to you remade English muffin sandwiches that you could microwave. Other than not being happy with the breakfast availability, the hotel was very pleasant to stay at
- Ken (6/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean, but a non-smoking room still stinks of stale smoke.
Beside hiway and the main road so it’s a bit noisy.
No exercise room. Limited hours for the on site restaurant so you get a bagged breakfast - didn’t eat at restaurant.
- Karen (6/5): - I didn’t realize smoking rooms were still a thing, and ended up in one. It was clean, which is really all I need for a night, just smelly. Had issues with their system saying my card wasn’t acceptable, yet my account had already been charged. It showed a Mastercard as payment, which I don’t even have, so no idea how that got on the file. We thought it was sorted out during check in, but again in the morning was asked for another card. Overall, an OK stay for a last minute stop with crappy weather & roads.
- Leilani (6/5): Fine for an overnight stay - Overall the room was fine and I had a small dog with me so it was good to be able to have him with me.
The only real issue was the cleanliness in the bathroom - there were hairs on the wall in the shower and that kinda grossed me out.
- Evan (6/5): - Room had a strong smoke smell. It was apparent that someone had been smoking inside.
- Sandra (8/5): - It was fine.
- Nigel (6/5): Front Desk - I book the hotel for 5 guests on line paid for it received confirmation then my guest are being told it hasn’t been paid! If they were to correctly read the reservation they would have seen it’s been paid and not inform my party it has not been paid. You caused a lot of confusion unnecessary.
- Ray (6/5): - I was rather disappointed in my stay this time. Initially there was not TV box, the staff did find one for my room within 2 days. The shower did not work properly, the staff tried to fix it but it didn't work. Nothing was done about it after that. For the last 4 days of my stay their key programmer was not working and you had to have a staff memnber open the door everytime you left the room..
- Stacy (8/5): - The traffic from the highway was very loud. Every little sound travelled through the door. The cold draft from the door was really cold and the thermostat did not work. Only thing that saved us from freezing was a space heater in the room. The system for the door was not working so I didn’t get a key so every time we left we had to go to the front desk and get let in. That was a royal pain. None of the outlets in the room worked so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. The curtains were stained and the blankets sucked.
- Dale (10/5): Great Hotel - This hotel was perfect for our needs!
- Ivelin (10/5): - Good
