• Sanchita (4/5): I would not recommend this place due to the structural issues - Staff was polite and the property was kept clean. Water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom and one of the closets. Part of the ceiling in the upstairs bedroom collapsed. Luckily we did not suffer any physical harm.

• Vince (9/5): Overall we loved it, would recommend for groups! - The staff were so friendly, accommodating and always available to help. The long drive way to get to the property was quite narrow and had lots of pot holes which made accessing the property a bit more challenging, however it never stopped taxis/drivers picking us up directly from our door.

Het personeel is fantastisch en maakt elke morgen persoonlijk een ontbijt naar keuze klaar in de villa. Heerlijk! De villa is voorzien van smart tv’s dus je kan bv Netflix kijken en ook BVN ontvangen. Goede airco. Een fijn huis om met vrienden/ familie te verblijven. Rustig en toch dichtbij alles Zeer nauwe toegangsweg
• Ramanunni (9/5): Overall stay was pleasant and happy. Mostly the breakfast was good. All staffs seen with great smile all times and happy - Property is very clean and tidy. All rooms were very spacious and neat. Staff were very polite and smiley faces all times. Property is approx 150 meters from main road and it’s very narrow. During walks, the drainage on the sides overflows and smells. However, this can be nullified because of the Management team as they were very polite and respectful. Property is well maintained and tidy all times.

• Alex (8/5): - Staff were attentive but didn't give notice prior to entering villa. The pool has a covered kids shallow area. The couch is comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. Location is good but driveway is narrow for larger taxi which is a mild inconvenience Breakfast was okay but awesome cafes around the corner I.e pison Ants are an issue Aircon in one bedroom wasn't the best. Poor quality shower soap and amenities No coffee/tea provision

• McGregor (8/5): - Lovely staff, large stylish spaces and thoughtful touches like plug adaptors and umbrellas. Our kids loved the pool and it was nice and quiet down the lane (in process of being upgraded). We enjoyed the nearby Greek, Mexican and Indonesian restaurants. The bathroom drains could do with some attention (bit smelly at times) but I think that's part of the infrastructure challenges, rather than specific to the villa.
• Glenda (10/5): Perfect villa in an excellent location with wonderful staff. - Villa Artisane was perfect for our stay for so many reasons: First and foremost the staff went above and beyond to contribute from breakfast, cleaning, hiring us a vehicle, and assisting one of us with very strict dietary needs and anything else we required. The location was just perfect and so close to many great eateries,bars, cafes, laundromats and supermarkets. The location was safe and we felt very secure staying here. The villa is exactly as photographed on booking.com. The beds were were super comfortable and the bathrooms had great water pressure and never ran out of hot water. We cannot thank Komang, Adi, Putu and Eka enough for making our stay so enjoyable and most of all memorable. We would highly recommend staying here. Nothing

• Claudia (10/5): Heerlijke villa, fantastisch voor gezinnen, lekker zwembad en geweldige staff! Putu, Coman, Adi jullie zijn top! - De villa is qua locatie een ontzettend goede uitvalsbasis om veel plekken in Bali te bezoeken. Fijne sfeer, mooie villa, heerlijk zwembad en complete keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Het enige minpuntje was het smalle straatje naar de villa toe. Wij hadden voor ons gezin van 6 personen een vrij grote bus, deze kon helaas niet bij de villa komen.

One point deducted for the laneway! The reviews are right. It is dark and rough. About time the owners along the gang did something about it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They decorated and supplied a cake for a special birthday which was so nice. They also allowed us to stay in the villa a little longer than check out time due to a later flight. Overall we were very happy. The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were a little awkward. Needed mozzie spray for the rooms.but they didn’t have any.

• Michael (10/5): The perfect and gorgeous villa for a group vacation! - This villa is just perfect. I travelled with my family and really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the design of the house and it's shared space. The living, dining room, outdoor poor and pergola are really inviting. The two main bedrooms upstairs are so spacious and I appreciated the walk-in closet in each room and large bathrooms. It's also great that this villa has a medium sized room downstairs adjacent to the guest bathroom. The villa is super clean and immaculately maintained, no complaints! The hosts are also so wonderful and kind. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning. As other reviews mentioned, there is a long walk-way to the villa but we found it safe even at night. Bigger vans, for more than 8 people don't fit but average sized vans and cars fit normally. This is an excellent villa in Semyinak and I highly recommend it. I really did like everything about this villa, it's very hard to complain or list things here. My only feedback would be that it would be great to have lights installed in the alleyway to the villa.
• Edwina (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was delicious and the Villa was very spacious. We were so comfortable in the living areas - plenty of room to spread out, especially by the pool. The area was very busy when you left the Villa - not their fault, time of year (Dec/Jan) and population around there. We did take a taxi to some quieter areas for shopping and dining.

• Ryan (10/5): Excellent Villa's with great friendly staff. - We rented both Villa's (which are mirror images of each other and share a rear wall), one to childproof for the family with kids and the other to be adult friendly. It was relatively easy to childproof, you can rent a pool fence through the villa and as long as you keep the family room doors closed they won't find them selves in the pool accidentally. The staircase is a little scary, especially for kids, just because it isn't perfectly straight and has gaps under the steps, but this was the only part of the Villa we had a potential issue with. The staff were amazing, they were always available, very helpful and lovely and cooked us a great breakfast every day. Location is close to lots of good places, the road it's on is narrow but accessible by van, and the Villas themselves are comfortable, a generous size and great to stay in. If you do hire both you can cram into one fairly well for meals, and there is just a short 50m walk between the two Villa gates.
• Rhonda (10/5): This property gave us more reason to fall in love with Bali and Indonesian locals. If you are looking for privacy, stulr - The ratings and pictures online were spot on. The property was absolutely private, safe, clean, stylish/ modern and comfortable. Loved having breakfast cooked in house for us each morning! It will take a while to get use to not having this when we get back home! If I was to be fussy and complain about anything it would be the long walk down the lane way to get to the property. This was no issue for us though as we hired a private tour guide company who had a 12 seater van and a 5 seater car ready at disposal (group of 12 with the rest of the group staying at different villas). The van picked us up from the airport and then the car drove us down the lane way. On other days we used the scooter we hired during our stay to transport ourselves to the main road. We would then park it there till we got back and do the same thing to get back home. Otherwise it’s only a 2-3 minute walk down a dark but absolutely safe lane way.

• Grace (10/5): We loved Villa Artisane! - The villa is beautiful! New and modern with a touch of character and charm! The staff kept the villa exceptionally clean and they were so polite and friendly all of the time. They made sure to bring us fresh towels everyday and always tended to our needs. We ended up extending our stay 2 extra days because my children begged to stay! The pool is lovely and clean and super big! Nice decking and grass area for kids to play. Aircon in every room and they all work very well! Would 100% stay again! Located down a long lane way and some Gojek and Grab drivers were confused on where to come but a little communication and all was well. The street that the laneway runs off is super busy at certain times due to the popular eateries and restaurants close by so can be a bit of a wait in traffic. That being said, the villa was worth the minor inconvenience!

Villa was beautifully appointed with large bedrooms and living spaces. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. A la carte breakfast was nice but could have been better with yoghurt, more fruit and some pastries. The laneway the villa was at the end of was very rough and it was difficult to see at night. Could do with repaving!

• Fatima (10/5): Amazing place to relax and enjoy Bali. - There was a lot to like about our stay at Villa Artisane. The welcome we received was very friendly and considerate. Each day, we felt very relaxed and well cared for. Daily breakfast was a highlight, as well as the housekeeping and 24/7 security. The villa is also near a lot of amazing spas, cafes, restaurants, shops and attractions. Although located quite a walk down an alleyway, we never once considered it much of a disturbance unless we were very tired and wanted to get to the comfortable villa immediately! The experience was a solid 10/10 and made mine and my family's first trip to Bali wonderful. Nothing.
• Viljamaa (9/5): Calm and easy place to stay 👍 - Accomodation was spacious and garden/pool area was nicely big enough for swim and play. Staff was close by and easy to reach when ever needed. Service was also polite and tailored our needs with small children. Rooms was also big and airconed in a just far enough from busy road so evenings and nights was really quiet. We had some electrical issues the entire 2 weeks stay which was a bit anoying at sometimes. Staff tried to fix it best they could. Also the villa is in a need of renovation as many things although still working are nearing the end of their lifetime (kitchen, tableware, sinks, faucets etc.)
• Nikita (8/5): Balinese hospitality at its very best! - We were travelling as a family of 6, Villa Artisane was clean, comfortable and the staff was amazing. Eka, Adi and team really took good care of us. The staff came in every morning to cook us fresh and hot breakfast which was the best part of our day. They were always eager to help and so delightful. A plus was having 1 room downstairs as I had my grandmother travelling with us she didn’t have the hassle of climbing stairs, really liked that. Villa was regularly cleaned, towels were regularly changed, pool was amazing, everything was great. We even ordered in a couple of times, didnt have any problems in that. It was my father’s birthday and the staff arranged a huge Black Forest cake for him which was very sweet. Definitely recommend Villa Artisane if you’re travelling with your family. The villa isn’t on the road, it’s inside a secluded lane which got really dark at night though the staff informed us of sensor lights on the road we just didn’t feel comfortable walking although it wasn’t a huge problem for us, cabs were still going to and from the villa, we were still getting food deliveries etc. Bathrooms had some mold and some areas did look rundown, minor renovations would make it even more better.

• Bex (10/5): Loved our last couple of days here and would go back. - Comfortable beds, great pool, really quiet but a two minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the main road. Eateries and marts everywhere - simply spoilt for choice. Sensor lights on driveway were great and we met all the local dogs that have been mentioned in the reviews all of whom were either extremely friendly (owner had them inside his property however when we met he was out on the driveway with them) or elderly and docile. Staff on the property were fabulous. Some structural maintenance is due and could do with a spruce up/update but very comfortable.

Spacious for our group of 5 Access to the pool directly from Villa and wonderful day beds and a shady space to sit also. So close to the offerings in Seminyak yet also quiet once inside the villa grounds. Staff available as needed and security overnight Shower taps require some attention … shower still able to be used just a little temperamental Stairs to access top 2 bedrooms so not for those that cannot manage

There are a solid amount of mosquitoes but the staff helped give us some things to help repel them (worked great). The pool was well kept, the rooms were cool. The location is also awesome. I 100% recommend staying here.

Pictures online are a great match to the villa we were very happy. The air conditioners in the 2 upstairs rooms didn’t keep the rooms quite cool enough during the day. But was still ok.

• Linda (8/5): Great location! Villa needs a little updating - Villa was spacious and conveniently located near restaurants, cafes and a short walk to a nice spa (Sundari). Breakfast are made to order daily which are perfect. we had Eka, villa manager taking care of our needs. The other butlers (Putu, Komang) are very helpful and friendly too. They made sure our needs are met and we felt very well taken care of. Eka was kind to arrange for us a complimentary massage when he found out we are returning guests. It’s our 4th time staying at this property and we noticed that the villa is now looking tired and dated. A spruce up would be highly recommended. The water pressure is low and you can only have one person using the shower at a time. Sofa at the living area are pretty worn. The air-conditioning in the master rooms need to be serviced as it’s not cold. We really love the location of the Villa but would suggest some lightings along the pathway, as it is dark for us to walk out to the Main Street at night. There are also a number of stray dogs along the pathway.
• Jancy (8/5): Comfortable, good service - Great service from hosts - friendly and accommodating with our requests. Location is great too, near good eateries and cafes. Facilities were showing its age - old looking tub, shaky shower holders etc. The walking path in was also dark at night and in the day time, one had to navigate through 3 dogs from nearby residences, smelling/licking people.
