Being told at 1.50 we can’t check in yet and to come back later to come back and stand in a line for 15mins. One of the elevators wasn’t working making getting up and down really slow and was a pain

Could not guarantee a parking spot, but as it was a weekend booking it wasn’t too much of a drama as we left the car there most of the time anyway.

• Daryll (8/5): Convenient place to stay for events at the Gabba - If you"re attending an event at the Gabba this Hotel is very convenient, only around 400m from the ground. The Hotel has undercover parking for an additional fee but it is cheaper than handing over a more substantial amount of money to the Brisbane City Council when the carparking stazi are out in force for every Gabba sporting event. Rooms were basic but clean. The beds were pretty good. We stayed here twice in four weeks for two footy games. On our first stay one one of the two elevators was out of action meaning long waits for the one operational lift. When we went back four weeks later, surprise surprise, the lift was still out of operation. Hopefully, it will be back in action before our next visit.

• Narelle (10/5): Would recommend this place, was a great stay. - Stayed in a studio apartment and it was a lovely apartment. Nice and clean , compact, just what we needed. The staff were really lovely too. Nice little touches that you don’t get at other places. And a secure carpark. With food places just below the building. Was really close to where we needed to go , so was easy to get around.

• Daryll (8/5): Good place to stay if you're going to an event at the Gabba. - Great location if you are attending an event at the Gabba. Only about a 500m walk to the gates at the ground. The area is a little industrial but there was no sense of being unsafe walking to or from the venue. Hotel is pretty easy to get to by car and has a bay to park in while checking in. We stayed here four weeks prior to latest stay. When we were staying previously one of the elevators was out of order. Four weeks later the elevator is still out of order meaning an occasional long wait for the one operational lift. Probably wouldn't have thought it took that long to have it repaired.

However, in the sitting area the sofa is too low for those with mobility problems. Also, there were no freely available power points in bedroom to accommodate any needed medical equipment.

The only problem I found was the parking that I paid extra for but could not even get out of my car after I parked and I am not a large person. The parks are way too small. If I’m paying extra for parking at least make it easier to park.

The toilet in my room has build up of mould under the rim- you can see it walking towards the bathroom. Everything was covered in dust- especially the bedside lamps- you can see the dust especially when lamps turned on. I paid good money for a room for a surprise anniversary gift for my partner and I, he spent the entire time sneezing due to the dust. See above

Nothing ever seems to be a bother to them. We stayed when there was a major mechanical breakdown with only one lift working during a time when the establishment was heavily booked. The team at Quest Woolloongabba maintained strong communication with guests during the breakdown to keep us informed about what was happening and to ensure that we did not go the wrong way up the stairs only to be blocked by security doors. Well done Questies!

• Belinda (9/5): Close to city - The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It contained a full size fridge and had king beds in each bedroom. It was very handy to cafes, restaurants and public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only one lift was operating while we were there.
