Guest Reviews
- joshuafF1598TB (8/5): An amazing blend of nature and sea - Dakak Beach Resort is a beautiful destination where you can truly experience the best of both nature and the sea. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and quick to respond to our needs, and the food was absolutely delicious. The resort also offers a wonderful variety of activities to explore and facilities for guests to enjoy.
While there is no such thing as a perfect resort, a few amenities could be improved; upgrading items like the smart TVs, providing irons and ironing boards, and addressing minor issues with the toilet bowls and door screens would make a significant difference.
Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend Dakak Beach Resort for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
- Emilie (10/5): - Clean room, very relaxing
- medics308 (10/5): Golf a Dakak beach club - I am writing to rate my wonderful golf experience at Dakak golf. The fairways offered such a natural challenge over waterfalls, hills and between islands. It was thrilling despite the heat. The beautiful view of the ocean - and to be putting beside it- was a breath taking experience.
- 765jemuelp (10/5): Exceptional customer experienced! - Chef Effren Flores, good day!
The food you’ve prepared is exceptional!
Our company, Odyssey Motors, and, our team of VISMIN Branch Managers and HO group are amazed.
You made our stay wonderful and worth remembering.
Cheers!😊❤️👍🍷

- W7005EXjeanm (10/5): A get away event with my family - It's a very beautiful place to unwind and meditate. I love to go back again hoping for a good weather when the time is come.
- Climber11821880546 (2/5): VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - I brought my entire family for a relaxing getaway, but it turned into a nightmare. There weren’t enough towels for the number of guests I had booked and paid for. Their breakfast policy for children was disappointing, and the communication throughout our stay was poor. Customer service was lacking, and it was clear they didn’t prioritize guest experience. This is not a place I would recommend for a relaxing stay.
- methusellarheae (10/5): dakak escapade - Our family had an overnight stay in Dakak . The kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. The room was cleaned, the staff are accommodating, considering we have seniors accompanying us that we need a service vehicle to transport us to the beach and restaurant. This is the perfect getaway for the family. Thank you Dakak, for the fun-filled experience!
- Noreen_Owen (6/5): Nice for a day or short stay - Beach is great - comparable to Boracay. Food options are excellent and quality is very good with reasonable pricing. The resort itself is run down with many areas lacking maintenance. Staff gives different information and needs improvement in hospitality. Bring lots of insect repellent. Signal is intermittent. Very accessible to private and public transportation. Good for a 2 night stay - a bit overpriced considering the state of the room and facilities.

- lirioe2025 (8/5): Of simple joys and tranquility - I last visited Dadak in 2015. Almost 10 years later, it is a different resort altogether — grander and classier, and the resort grounds are immaculate. New facilities and structures have been built and the beach view has become more pristine than ever. It was the second week after Valentine’s, so there were less vacationers around, and tranquility is the general mood.
We had a great stay (mind you, we were upgraded for free at a premium room, from a deluxe accommodation) because the room is clean and very comfortable, although wifi is not so great inside the room that you need to stay in the verandah to get better connection. Members of the staff are friendly and very accommodating.
Well, it was just regular breakfast, not buffet, because there were only a few guests that time. Still, it was hearty.
It was the perfect weekend getaway!
- Matt (10/5): - We loved our stay at Dakak resort. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The property was picked up daily, there was always someone available. The grounds show the wear of life on islands with driving wind and rain and mountainous terrain. There was a couple of buildings closed and the walkway along the coast was closed, but there was always signs of revitalization and overcoming natures assault. For a natural vacation with many amenities and staying amongst people with beautiful souls, I highly recommend Dakak beach resort and properties
- Alfredo (10/5): - Only thing is the showers. Warm water is hit or miss.
- 227sheenav (10/5): Relaxing! - Place was great with breathtaking view and nice beach. We got the place to ourselves, kids enjoyed the pool! . Room was super with comfy beds and complete amenities! Food was delish and affordable, too! Would love to come back with family again.
- Hilanie (6/5): - My biggest issue are the Prawns served in the restaurant. The sauce was burnt and the prawns were overcooked. No spice or flavor at all. Was worse than nursing home food. Should be cooked right or taken off of the menu. I admit that other guests food that I was with their food appeared to be cooked just fine.
- IGNACIO J (4/5): - This property has limited access to people with disability Antiquated front doors shower system and some electrical sockets are not functional. Dining services are polite but they're slow.
- jekylv (2/5): DON'T STAY HERE! - Our recent stay was unsatisfactory and represented a significant financial loss. Reception staff demonstrated inadequate competence. Despite early arrival due to inclement weather, our request for early check-in was denied due to room unavailability, with a promised text notification. This notification was not received by the scheduled check-in time of 2 PM, necessitating a return to reception at 2:20 PM. Other arriving guests were accommodated before us, without apology for the delay. Furthermore, the villa lacked adequate towels upon arrival, containing only soap and shampoo, insufficient for our party size. Despite full payment, we received substandard service. This second visit revealed no improvements, leading to a collective decision to avoid future stays.
p.s the beach's water is so itchy. like there's some nano jellyfish swarming all around the sea. we never enjoyed it at all.
- philip (10/5): - Beautiful, safe and clean resort. Stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and was not bored once. The beach is private and very beautiful. The restaurant food was very good and the staff was so friendly. There is a ton of water activity (scuba, boat rental, zip line, kayak, etc...) We rented jet skis and it was so much fun. Also, went golfing which is on the resort. Highly recommend if you're in Dipolog!
- I9321DKlinoc (10/5): Fun 🤩 in Dakak/! - I always go Dakak because price are reasonable, nice and kind staff, breakfast buffet in s awesome, and everything your need for water sports or zip line is here and it’s very safe! Thank you all the worker on Dakak! You are all awesome! Be sure to use the water with Dakak print, because that’s the free 1. Every thing in the fridge and water bottle, Dakak will charge.
- christensen (2/5): - This is the most I regretted that I booked this place. The price is expensive but the quality of the place is very poor. Ant’s and cockroaches inside our room. All day and night mosquitoes biting us. We can’t sleep cause constantly a nut fall in the room that make a loud noise even in the middle of the night. WiFi sucks and always have power shortages. Never ever going back in this place
- Lorna (10/5): - perfect
- 861marygraceb (8/5): 2024 Get Away Dakak Way - With family of 20+ for 2 nights stay at 1799 per night, exclusive of transpo SULIT!!!
The staff was polite & accommdoating enough.
Reception was fast enough.
We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and had so much fun at the beach, sliding at the pool, banana boat, & jetski.
The Tuktuk available made moving up to our room and down to the beach easy.
Breakfast was good enough overall. We liked it that among others, there's fish served.
Regular meals were quite expensive but for convenience maybe good enough for a group of 5.
Booking, I'd say, was quite strict.
Full Payment must be made within two days.
Overall, it is still worthwhile to go back.
- Genoveva (10/5): - everything except only 1 chair the entire room while there's 3 of us
- Mel (6/5): - Rooms are dated. Room is missing face towels. Shower is very slow. Bathrooms are a little dirty. No iron/ironing board in the room.
Rooms need updating really bad.
- Mobile231690 (6/5): Reservations team could use GMRC - We got the barkada package for July 26-28 trip. Although the price was good, their reservations people were so annoying and a little rude. They called you 3-5 times per day if you have not completed your payment. We first sent a downpayment of 30,000 pesos just to secure our booking and first, we asked if we could complete the payment on the day of check-in. Julia even threatened to cancel our booking (with the already paid 30k initial) if we did not complete our booking. Money has never been an issue. Their reservation team could use a little GMRC lesson on contacting guests and not harass those who booked.
The stay was at best OK. The beach and sunset: amazing. But their rooms could use a little more update and love. Since its a bit behind the times. Over-all is ok.
- nathanjP8931UQ (10/5): A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach! - This place was a much needed retreat and we very much enjoyed our stay! We first stayed 10 years ago and we were not disappointed on our return visit. Great secluded beach, white sand, great service and amazing food! They continue to make improvements and upgrades. We were always greeted with smiles and service was always good. Rooms were clean and very comfortable with all that we needed. I has to use the wi-fi for work and yes, it isn't very strong in the rooms possibly because of the cement walls, but good signal on the outside sitting area and at the Bamboo Cafe where I could sit and have coffee while online.
Our daughters did Discover Scuba, which I would highly recommend! We also did the zip line which had amazing views! I can't say enough about this place. Great memories were made 10 years ago and more Great memories were made this trip!
I see mixed reviews and I would say, yes do your research and know that if you look for defects you will always find something to complain about. No place is perfect, but Dakak is the best place in the area and ranks very high on my list of places I can't wait to get back to. Looking forward to visiting when that ocean walk bar is finished! Kudos to your mananagement and great staff!
- 888arisj (6/5): Dakak Resort, Could be great - This place actually looks beautiful, picturesque place. I just couldn't believe it that they discharge gray water right at the beach and my kids played with this dirty water and it had a smell to it. We enjoyed the room with the hot tub overlooking the bay, it was a beautiful room. Going to the pool and getting a towel is very hard, includes an interrogation that starts with, "towels are not free, we charge you for it" and the "we apologize, we didn't know you are a guest" statement. The place could be world class if they make customer service world class. Also too much segregation of facilities and services, you are not allowed in one area of the resort and there will be getto signs saying, no trespassing, must pay peso 1500 for entry written on the wall. Also I was told that you can only take the tuktuk vehicle if you stay at the pavillion which is by the way dillapidated and full of molds. There is so much segragation, the beach is packed with ugly c old plastic chairs, really hard to get towels if you are staying at villa,Angelina and you go to the Dakak side of the resort. The employees will tell you that there is different management of every facility and the customer suffers. I also notice that the employees, are not empowered to make desicions, tgey always have to call a supeevisor, which makes everything time consuming and the employees dont have the sense of ownership of the place, which is the cornerstone of any successful busdness, empowering a well trained staff.
- Milvie (10/5): - My family enjoyed their stay here. They thought the property was luxurious and food was delicious. The only con is that everything is pricey.
- Brad (8/5): - Its a nice secluded property, but I found myself leaving it to do things outside or have different dinning options.
- Chymbee (2/5): - Our family stayed 3 days/4 nights at this resort. The buffet is is exposed to open air so there were many flies feasting on the food. The fruits and the desserts were not covered at all. The other dishes were opened up frequently with no staff paying attention. Lunch was 1500 pp but the lechon is gone and dishes were not replaced. If you go there 1 hr before the buffet closes, you will get the leftover food. There were more fliesrating the food than people. The resort transport called bao bao is sometimes nowhere to be found even after called by another staff. These people will make you walk from their lobby to your room even though they have a transport at the resort. Overall, I gave this resort one star because some of the staffs are nice and understanding of our concern. The manager never called me back after I called 3 times. I went to the lobby to speak to the manager and he was gone for the day at 3 pm.
- Paul (6/5): - It was quiet
- Batis (10/5): A very nice place to see, experience and enjoy!! - Beautiful place to visit and olenty of activities to do. There is a golf cart to transport you to your desired location in the area. Several restaurants and food stops to choose from in the whole of the Beach and Park.area. Shuttle service or golf cart is easily available for your transfers
- Marilyn (10/5): - No complain, satisfied of our stay.
- W7335YEoscarc (6/5): Looks like fun, but do your research! - The AC worked well, bathroom(CR) was clean. The room Safe had no power, or was broke. Staff was very respectful. Beautiful white sand beach, but you could NOT swim without being stung by the Jellyfish. Spotted (Mastigias Papua) Jellyfish. Wonderful ocean breeze in the region. Many water-sports available. Great place for taking pictures, or lounging on the beach. We received a promotional price for our stay. 50% off for week days. Not sure it would be worth full price. Read all the reviews before going. Three restaurants on site. Good food, but maybe too fancy?
- Enrico (6/5): - Rooms are too inconvenient to get to. Steps leading to the prime rooms needs to be fixed. Cracks found on bathroom sink. Plants around need TLC. Overall the place needs total facelifting and not worth the exuberant money you pay.
- Celeste (10/5): - Beautiful surrondings! The property had various fun filled activities tgat coupd offer a family.
Relax by the beach, snorkle, swim, play games and also hike.
- Jet02315690767 (10/5): Peaceful, Relaxing and De-stress - Dakak Park & Beach Resort is an absolute paradise! Nestled along the pristine coastline, it offers breathtaking views, luxurious accommodations, and top-notch amenities. The crystal-clear waters and white sands create a perfect retreat. Impeccable service and a serene and quiet atmosphere make Dakak a must-visit destination for a truly unforgettable beach experience.
- Steven (8/5): - The resort was great overall
We had visitors entering the park
So communication between reception and myself wasn’t great as regards cost
Children free but thenSuddenly it was under 10 were children. Over 10 was adult !! And they definitely weren’t free
To be honest they can’t do enough for you
Any problems they would try and sort straight away
I would stay there again
- Lucile (10/5): - Workers are accommodating
- marianyud (8/5): All good! yet needs a bit improvement. - Good stay! Good beach area! Good food esp. The pizza! our dormitory room needs improvement in terms of design. Staff needs more training. Check in and check out areas needs renovation and revamp also. They have started renovating their beach and restaurant areas :) which is good! needs more golf cart or e trike for transporting guests. Rooms are a bit far from the amenities and restaurants, if you walk only.
- Raul (8/5): - What I didn't like was that there was discharge of a foul smelling water coming from the property and going out to the sea at the area where people are bathing. Looked to me like there is a drainage line from the property to the beach burried under the sand. I asked if it came from the waste colllection/treatment plant they have nearby, and they said it doesn't. But the foul smell is suspicious. It happened in Boracay before.
- marieedithb2023 (10/5): PERFECT! - I had an overnight stay with my family on TreeTop Cabana and it was really awesome. The room was really cozy and nice, perfect for a small family. We enjoyed the activities and very happy👍👍 PERFECT!
- Navigator16974493431 (10/5): EXCELLENT EXPERCIENCE! Recommended! - Spent a 3 day stay here in DAKAK back on Sep 26-28, 2023. Place is like a paradise and every moment feels very surreal. The support/crew inside the DAKAK are very timely, accommodating and very polite. Their service response time is what I really like the most. Like it will only take 2-5mins max for someone to get back to you whichever part you're at within the premise of DAKAK or whatever your needs are. They got golf cars driven by their support crews that takes you to every DAKAK attraction for free. Will certainly go back here this upcoming 1st quarter of 2024.
- gracesB9058ZQ (4/5): Dakak was blah - My message to Dakak went unanswered… for 2 weeks now
1. Since not all amenities are available, in fairness, the room rates should have been reduced. Presumably, the room rate covers use of all amenities but since not all are open, a corresponding reduction should have been fairer to your patrons.
2. Toilet fixtures were broken/leaking
3. As a beach resort, it would have been nice if you provided beach slippers at least for the deluxe rooms
4. No face/hand towels were provided. It’s a standard for resorts of your category and for the price you charge.
5. Wifi was mostly unavailable/spotty
6. No beach towels in the pool - again, standard for resorts of your kind.
7. Buffet breakfast for deluxe rooms was converted to regular breakfast since, reportedly, only a few rooms were occupied. Not fair, right?

- Ralph (8/5): Bathroom toiletries not enough - For the price of 8500 pesos per night, the bathroom amenities are not at par- there’s no hand and face towels , soap is small and not refilled.
- Jevygirl (2/5): Worst resort ever! - The service is very bad! No welcome services! The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. The towels are so thin it looks like a rug! The towels look very dirty. My goodness! there was only one person in your front office and took so long for my check-in. I was expecting so much from your resort! This review is coming from a manager that works in a 4 star hotel in Chicago. I just came from bawbawon island and it was perfect!
- Bader (2/5): - The restaurant quality was so poor…. The food was terrible in same time is so expensive…. The beach resort expensive rate then in real it’s so poor everything inside it….. in that resort one thing was good is the rooms but it’s a resort not hotel ( rooms and lobby ) I advice this resort either they will make the their rates down or develop it so it can match to the prize they ask for the night.
- 267carlamaem (10/5): Awesome 😎 - Check in was smooth and had a big and spacious room for 2 people with a very cold aircon and fluffy pillows that are really comfortable. Food was great and priced accordingly. Indeed, it is your paradise destination in the South 😊
- Thomas (10/5): - It is an extremely beautiful property. A true Resort.
- Marinel (8/5): Nice place! - Everything was great! Will definitely come again!!Thanks to all the staff for being so nice!:-)
- Mary (10/5): - Staff is very helpful and pleasant!
- Jeanette (10/5): - Beautiful
- Alvian (10/5): - Very nice place to relax. Not too busy, few can afford it. Beach is rather empty, relaxing, not busy like Boracay. I would visit again many times. No doubt. Food is excellent. Service very good. Allowed early check in without any extra fees. Wonderful service and staff. What's not to love? Everybody should vacation here. Seriously. One of the best places I ever visited and I traveled everywhere. Great place no doubt.
- Christian Telling (10/5): - Nice Resort with multiple dining options and plenty of experiences offered. You can have as quiet or "action"-oriented a vacation, as you want. The free WiFi offered was, however, in my opinion subpar (new password everyday - and sometimes not even that working).
- Chonita (10/5): - Relaxing and the sights/ sunset so awesome!! The staff very helpful all the way!!. Love, love it there!!! Had the best time with the family!!!
- lorelie (10/5): - amazing. highly recommendable 😁
- Verified traveler (10/5): - amazing. had so much fun and chance to relax with the family 😁
- james (4/5): - The view is amazing.... The price for the room is to much for what you actually get... The room we stayed in is in need of some maintenance... Paint is peeling off the walls, there was a mouse or soming living in the roof area that kept waking my wife and I up all night... Found a crab in the bathroom? Overall the place is amazing, but just needs some updates!
- Jimmy (4/5): Picturesque but DISSAPOINTING facilities - This is such a picturesque place that the poorly maintained facilities is a major disappointment. The room has crickets and geckos living within the walls. The crickets chirping all night left me getting very little sleep fortunately my fiance can sleep through anything. The facilities are not in good repair/condition. There are many buildings that are in desperate need of repair. They are rotting or have holes in the roof of the walkway around the pool, the jet skiis are very aged, there was exposed wires very near the pool, the comfort room in our room had a pungent odor of decay. When ordering room service prepare to be told the food items they don't have. My fiance and I had to change our order 3 times before we finally was able to order something they had that we could order. The resort wouldn't offer any type of partial refund when our trip had to be abruptly shortened due to COVID-19 and the PH President placing Manila in lockdown. I do have to thank the driver taking us to the airport though for getting us there in short order. They need to make golf carts available to guests to rent to get around especially ones, like me, that have knee and back issues. The steep paths caused so much unnecessary pain.
- Renecardinal (8/5): - Areas are run down. Very well maintained on grounds. Had issue with noise next to my suite that took 1.5 hours to resolve and numerous phone calls. Also my shower wasnt working properly for 2 days was "FIXED" 3 times. Shower worked on last day as i was checking out. Waiting still to hear back from management
- Verified traveler (10/5): - First night we were stayed at the villa angelina beach front room and it was beautiful then we choose to upgrade to the cliff side room and never regret it. It was astonishingy beautiful. Nice big room with jacuzzi on the balcony.
The staff are kind, helpful and courteous.
Lots of activities to choose. Golf, spa, watersports and mountain activities too.
If you looking for a place were not so many people discovered (like palavan,burakay)...this is the place to go
- Sunshine (8/5): - I actually booked a wheelchair accessible room (according to what I've seen on the rooms description on Expedia) for the purpose of my disabled father.. However the room that was given to us had an 11 quite big steps.. So I do not understand, why lie? How was I supposed to push my father's wheelchair with those steps?
- Amm (8/5): - Beautiful site, exceptional view of the sea. Enjoyed Italian restaurant food
- Ryan (10/5): - It was nice and quiet at the time we stayed there. No lines or waiting for anything we did. Very nice staff and the filming of Home Sweet Home was a bonus throughout our stay.
- patrick (8/5): late - This is the second time i experience the van pick for arrival is always late.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - My daughter accidently broke a drinking glass in the room and the made me pay for it. I travel all over the world and never seen any thing so petty and cheap as asking the customer to pay for the 2 dollar glass, be warned, and the ferral cats are everywhere fighting a growning and growling all day and night
- Alex (8/5): - ComfortAble
- Grace (8/5): - Free shuttle service but no system in the queing from the Fantasyland back to the hotel.
- Robert (10/5): Beautiful! - We stayed in the cliff side villas and the rooms and view are amazing!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay here because of the fine, white sand that feels like you're walking on a thick, soft carpet! We also enjoyed the zipline, one of the longest in the Philippines. Word of caution: Be prepared to be isolated to the outside world, as cellphone signal is very poor (works to your advantage if that is your intention for vacationing). The property is so huge ('dakak') with so many specialty restaurants, a golf course, rooms with majestic views, and many more amenities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I would rate it 3.8. It's still nice but not that super nice. The beach was good as well as the restaurants. Food was excellent. Sad thing for me is thst, for its price, I would have expect to have toiletries such as foot towel, slippers, lotions, conditioners that usually are given by current hotel / resort of the same price range. Overall though, it was still ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good customer’s service , will recommend to all my friends & family
There’s one concern in the issue of frequent fruits falling from trees at villa’s roof because it sounds like someone is knocking the door, disturbing too
Thank you
- Allan (10/5): Great place - It was a great place ad relaxing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Many activities to do plus you get to ride all you can in Fantasyland
- Georgina (4/5): Unfortunately - Night that was raining so hard our bathroom flooded do we got transferred to another cottage unfortunately my husband wedding band was in the bathroom counter by the basket of wash clothes and didn’t pay attention to it until the day we’re leaving and can find the wedding band. We told the people from the resort who accompanied us to the airport but we never heard from them again
- Patrick (4/5): - Room was dark and old , wont recommend it for family vacation
