- Christoph (8/5): Nice budget hotel in the middle of Tequila. - Close to everything.
Hotel has a beautiful garden, rooms are simple but clean.
- Ruth (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Small authentic Mexican hotel - Quite, beautiful, me I am vibes.
No partying or drinking permitted. Nothing. It was perfect
- Lis (10/5): Good stay! - Perfect location, very friendly staff, and beautiful and relaxing patio.
- Dianne (6/5): Very easy access to downtown. - Very clean, beautiful courtyard. Drinking water available. Coffee and tea in the morning. Parking close by and included. One room didn’t have hot or warm water to shower in the morning. It was cold and we could have used another blanket.
- Elsa (10/5): -
- Carlos (10/5): -
- Tello (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Lovely garden and great location. - Convenient, quiet location and pet friendly. Lovely courtyard with seating. Very easy to walk to the plaza and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms aren’t soundproof and you can hear workers and guests in the courtyard. I was glad I had earplugs.

- Maria Galilea (6/5): - Pintoresco.
- Arthur (10/5): - As near as we could tell, there was only street parking available or a lot some distance away. Although staff were generally pleasant, they didn't seem particularly adept at being receptionists. The room was clean and comfortable and the air conditioner worked. The main square and various restaurants were within easy walking distance

- Estelle (8/5): Charming old hotel - The staff are very friendly, it is well-located close to the centre of Tequila and there is a beautiful garden in the middle of the hotel. There is convenient parking nearby. The hotel is a bit dated but this was also quite charming! The water pressure of the shower was a little low.
- Diana (10/5): - Place was very nice, we only stood one night. It served its purpose
- Tour08362343804 (8/5): Mi Experiencia - During my vacation, I went to Guadalajara and booked a room at the Casa La Gran Senora hotel.
The service from the moment I arrived was excellent. I really liked the manager, who was very attentive to any issues or needs I might have during my stay.
The hotel was very clean and tidy. I'd love to return soon.
I would recommend it because it has wonderful service and, above all, its security is very good.
I appreciate the attention I received.
- Ricardo (8/5): Good, but... - The inside patio is nice, but windows to the room did not have glass, so people staying late at patio were heard as rooms are around the patio. There was a little mold on ceiling corners and the shower faucet needed repairing.
- Irma (10/5): - I stay one night and everything was great. Friendly staff and they are 24 hours. The hotel is unique with beautiful colors and a water fountain. Very close to El Centro de Tequila.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCIA
- Boyd (8/5): - The inner courtyard was beautiful. A functioning fountain would have been nice. Rooms were clean and spacious. Both rooms had problems w hot wster for our showers.
- rau (10/5): - Great for a downtown walk very well accessible
- Marco (10/5): - Great location, walkable distance to the main plaza. Beautiful gardens, and clean facility!
- Anthony (1/5): Bad - Very little time to recommend. Hotel looks nothing like the pictures. Very bad area, run down, unfriendly Staff, lousy room with no balcony/terrace as promised in reservation. Very bad area, run down, unfriendly staff, lousy room with no balcony/terrace as promised in reservation. Very noisy all night, hotel rules were not followed. 1 star hotel at best.
I cannot imagine a worse stay in Tequila.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Good for the price
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff, friendly and helpful. Loved the courtyard and access to purified water. Would definitely stay again!
- billy (10/5): Tequila dreams - Wonderful room upstairs with large patio main square walking 5 minutes
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristin (10/5): - Lovely hotel, quiet yet centrally located. Peaceful and beautiful courtyard.
- David (8/5): - We enjoyed going to the Tequila square and enjoyed the courtyard at the hotel
- Jasmin (10/5): - Hermoso lugar y plantas
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mauricio (8/5): - Non
- Drew (10/5): - Nice hotel, only stayed one night but it was comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Only small tiny minor complaint is the parking is a block away, but other than that all good
- Selena (10/5): Tequila con la Gran Señora - Great, cozy and charming hotel in downtown Tequila, Jal. The plaza principal is about 5 min walking distance. The hacienda-style hotel makes it for a unique experience. The staff were very kind and attentive.
- Angelica (10/5): A great stay in the Tequila city center! - We stayed because they were pet friendly but we would absolutely come back on our own. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. There were a couple areas of cleanliness in the room they could improve on but we always bring wipes and wipe down the areas we found lacking quite easily. Otherwise, the room was adequate for two people and our two pups no question. The water pressure was great and the hot water more than enough. The hotel is a 8 room boutique both a beautiful courtyard with jackfruit (w/ fruit), banana trees and beautiful flowers we were not familiar with. They are well located with several eateries and small corner store within a couple blocks and the city center is just a shore walk away. There are multiple sit down restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner and several bars starting at only 2 blocks with the famous La Capilla the home of the Batanga only about 3 blocks away. We are already looking at dates for a return in the next few months and hope there will be availability.
- Reyna (10/5): - Quite and very convenient.
- Carolina (8/5): - The property it self was nice. It didn’t have a fridge and didn’t have breakfast included over price it was literally just a room like your house do not expect hotel experience.
- David (7/5): Great pet friendly location to explore the town. - Great location pet friendly for exploring the town. Lovely interior courtyard. AC worked well and was very much appreciated! Rooms were clean but very basic in terms of amenities and decoration.
- jorge19v (10/5): Nice little place to stay in Tequila - The hotel is a few blocks away from the town center and all the activities. It's a nice old house with pretty good rooms (nothing fancy). I would have liked a heads up about the parking situation. I was lucky that I found a parking lot a block away that happened to be the one this hotel has a deal with, so I didn't have to pay for parking. There is very little room on the road, so it's not really possible to park to the side and get down to ask. Overall, it's a good inexpensive place to stay.
- Katy (2/5): - Don’t stay at this property as soon as you get back they close their doors living you outside . Waiting about 20 min to get someone to open the door for you to get into your room. We had to find another place to stay. I am requesting my refund for the 2 nights I didn’t stay at that hotel because of the their bad bad service.
- Celio (8/5): Great experience - Courtyard was beautiful, front desk was always staffed and responded to our minimal request promptly Beds were a little stuff but typical for life in Mexico so we didn’t mind.
- arturo (6/5): - Property is a good location near downtown, but the pillows were the worst ever . I just don’t understand how can you not spend $100 worth of new pillows for the rooms . It was terrible
- Donna (7/5): Good -
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- William E (8/5): - Clean hotel but access to drop off luggage was tough. Parking one block away. It is not near the main drag so the noise level is a lot better
- Brenda (7/5): Basic typical hotel for Mexico. Was what we expected. Easy to walk to/from the square, etc. - Convenient location to walk everywhere. Was quiet. A/C worked well. Their secure parking was a public parking lot 1.5 blocks away, so I parked on the street instead. It would have been nice to have one larger king-size bed and to have foam toppers on the beds to soften them up (Costco has them).
- Rojelio (10/5): Excellent - It was a great location close to the plaza and shooping areas A breakfast option
- Sally (6/5): Pleasant -
- Esmeralda (8/5): Quick Tequila,Jal stop . - The hotel suited its purpose , one night in Tequila on a road-trip. Beds were comfortable ,although no comforter or extra blankets available in room . Wifi was okay , moderate strength . Front desk staff was cordial and readily available to help . Parking is not on site , rather 1.5 blocks away. Safe to walk to/from , although only available during stay. Payed 30/pesos on hr past noon (checkout time) .
- Antoon (7/5): Good -
- Gilles (10/5): Exceptional - Interior garden, personnality of thé hôtel. Very Well located. No breakfast. Staff des not speak english
- Nicole (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rocio (8/5): Close to the party - Walking distance to the Plaza, the hotel it’s cozy. There’s a lot of mosquitoes though, but I was OK. Control beds good size rooms, I like everything
- Adriana (7/5): Good - Cleanliness, working air conditioner, quiet place, parking available, walking distance from downtown. Night staff, my husband asked for coffee and was told that the morning staff was who makes it.
- Bradley (7/5): Good -
- Milne (6/5): Pleasant - Hotel was nice. The court yard and patio were pretty. Would've been nice to have a fridge and drinking water. Beds weren't that comfortable.
- Leslie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruben (6/5): Pleasant - Service was excellent! The gentleman who took care of us knew the city, friendly, and very helpful. Cleanliness if the place. I dont think it was clean beforehand. There was a dead cockroach innthe shower, bedsheets were dirty and floor was not mopped-it was dusty.
- Alejandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Asha (8/5): Very good -
- Duncan (7/5): Good -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (10/5): Perfect - Great coffee. Clean rooms. Great location
- Dianne (8/5): Tequila - older property, good location for our purposes, close to downtown and tequila distillery parking a few blocks away
needs a deep cleaning inside and out.
- Richard (7/5): good hotel with two other couples - good location exceptional design inside with plants and trees and great lighting as well as original tile work. they should re-plumb the fountains to give the hotel a beautiful feeling…8 tile work
- Claudia (7/5): Good -
- Randy (7/5): Good -
- Sue (7/5): Good -
- Jazmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Narda (6/5): Great value, a 2 star , clean and safe - Easy to find and a few blocks from the plaza, rooms are spacious and clean. the hotel/casona's garden could be better maintained, it is pretty
- Mike (1/5): Always read reviews prior to staying in a hotel. - The courtyard was very pretty and we did spend some time at the tables.
The ad stated that there was coffee, however when we walked over to get coffee the first morning we were instructed to boil water with an electric kettle and make coffee with instant coffee. The toilet and sink leaked and the bathroom floor was always wet. The bathroom sink was cracked and falling off the wall. The floors in the bedroom area were dirty and we always wore our shoes so that our feet wouldn’t get dirty. The pillows were hard like rocks. However, housekeeping did switch out our pillows. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything your neighbors were doing.
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (7/5): A classic Mexican hotel. - This was a small, classic Mexican hotel with rooms based around a courtyard. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Hot water was available both in the morning and at night. There was free private parking a block away but parking was also possible in the street. The hotel was located in a quieter area of Tequila. The room was rather dark. Better lighting options would have helped. Breakfast was no longer served in the hotel but several restaurants, cafes were just a short walk away.
- Mercedes (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (7/5): Good -
- Jose (1/5): Bad -
- Veronica (10/5): Exceptional -
