Lobby ist schön eingerichtet. Sehr in der Natur. Wir wären gerne eine Weile draußen gesessen, aber es gibt nichts außer harten Bänken ohne Lehne. Die Betten quietschen und man spürt die Federn. Kaffee war nicht gut und teilweise schon kalt.

We were a family of four from London and the room was spacious and comfortable. We are really happy with the service. We do recommend this place for anyone who would like a quiet and peaceful getaway from city life.

- Mike S (2/5): Never again. - Nice location and OK breakfast. Polite but scruffy staff. The room smelled strongly of damp which affected my breathing. The carpet was badly stained, the bathroom floor tiles appeared dirty and stained, might just have been stained, but decidedly unpleasant. The shower in my daughter's room was either too hot or dangerously scolding, she didn't tell us this until after we left or we would have asked for another room. The bath towels in our room and my daughters were stained, probably laundered but stained nonetheless, luckily we had beech towels to use. It wasn't expensive (there was little choice in the area as we booked late as the purpose of the visit was last minute) but we expected basic cleanliness and no damp mold spores to contend with. We only booked one night thankfully, we would have had to go elsewhere if it was for longer...

Fiona was super helpful answering all my questions before we had arrived including providing me with local taxi details so that I could plan logistics for our coastal path walks. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for all tastes.All staff super helpful and very attentive. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. The hygiene in the bathroom around shower seal and grout and in toilet basin need a little attention. Showing slight signs of wear.

The room was a bit tired and warm. The shower was a bit awkward for a wheelchair user. Being on a steep sloop a wheelchair user will need help to get in and out of the main house for meals. The staff did everything they could to accommodate but any wheelchair user will need assistance

- Brian (8/5): Overnight near SW Coast Path - Quite an individual slightly old fashioned hotel run by helpful and friendly mother and son (?) couple. Offer to dry off wet walking clothes and boots. Quiet peaceful situation. Some may find it a bit remote without a car. Rather tired look to carpets.
- Eva (8/5): Lovely - We didn't spend much time at the property other than sleeping but it has everything we needed. It's a very quiet location and accommodation (not necessarily a bad thing). We had 2x rooms. One inside the main house was a bit outdated but the converted barn room was lovely! Very spacious. The staff were really nice and accommodating, great communication. Cawsand and Polperro are lovely. Always pre book taxis! Really hard to get taxis around the area.

- Sandy (10/5): Amazing view - Bedroom 7 was very clean, well decorated and comfortable but the shower cubicle is not suitable for anyone on the large side (over 12 stone) as the entrance is restricted. The stair carpet is worn and decor rather tired in the entrance. Sadly they ran out of eggs and brown bread at breakfast and sausages were tasteless but rest of cooked breakfast was fine. Friendly hosts and a quiet location with great view from the restaurant. Good amount of parking in front of hotel

- Neil (6/5): Pleasant - Room had wonderful view and breakfast good. We were walking South West Coast Path and therefore no car. Hotel some distance out of village and had to walk on road. Did not serve evening meals which meant we relied on some snacks. WiFi intermittent.

The cooked breakfast was lovely, they even provided me with GF bread and rolls and with oat milk. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean, tea and coffee and biscuits was replenished every day The owners were so kind & helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. They were especially kind and thoughtful to me and my family, during a very difficult time of visiting my father who was very ill. Overall a lovely place to stay, I would definitely go back.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Lovely location - Lovely location and friendly mum & son team running this b&b. However this is not a place for light sleepers! Curtains are not blackout - so room is very light from sunrise onwards (to include headlights of cars dropping off passengers or parking at night shining into your room). Plus the floors are very thin so you can hear every footstep of people in room above. Showers not great (I couldn’t get ours to work on last day). Definitely order the cooked breakfast as that was good and they always had a spare sausage for our dog (nice touch). However for the price we’d hoped they’d have someone to clear the dirty tables at breakfast, have better coffee and fresh pastries (or best not offer the stale ones). We’ve stayed here before so had hoped they’d sorted the ‘staff shortage’ (it was attributed to) by our 2nd visit but sadly not. Which is a shame as it’s a really gorgeous location.

Was the most enjoyable stay. Room were lovely. Clean and fresh. Would most defiantly recommend and would certainly look at going back in the future.
- Elaine (1/5): Terrible… don’t complain else you’ll be asked to leave - The location is idyllic This place is more a family run B&B as opposed to a hotel. There was a problem with the door lock, the room smelt damp and the bathroom was awful. The toilet seat was insecure and slid off its fixings. When we complained we were shown to another room Which was much better but there was urine in the toilet and workman’s tools around the sink. When we mentioned this we were met by the owners son who accused us of causing damage to the first room. After a heated discussion with the owners son inflaming the situation with his very peculiar and odd demeanour we were subsequently told we couldn’t stay the night but refused a refund. After a more sensible discussion with his mother/owner we agreed we wouldn’t stay and she agreed to a refund/waiver cancellation but we’re still trying to resolve this with booking.com. Stay at your peril folks.

Not convenient for those who sleep upstairs. 3. No access to the gardens shown on the photos. 4. The breakfast was ok but didn't match our expectations based on other guests' comments. 5. Although close to the beach, but the hotel is hiding on the other side of a very busy and narrow road. Dangerous to get to the other side for a walk.

- LISA (2/5): Terrible stay - The venue was beautiful and the room was large and nicely decorated ,but on further inspection found that the room hadnt been cleaned ,several years worth of mould and cobwebs behind furniture ,the shower looked slimy with black mould on the grout .Bed felt damp .no WI-FI no information pack ,no phone number for owner .very basic .Had to go and find the owner in the dark to investigate an altercation in the room above .Owner didnt seem very concerned or helpful .We left at midnight and drove home as the weekend had been ruined .

- William (9/5): Perfect place for a stop off on the way to Western Cornwall. - A lovely family run hotel in a great location just outside Plymouth, comfortable rooms, not lavish but good inn accommodation, and a tasty breakfast the next morning. Drive is quite steep, but that’s being fussy, it’s great.

Even though I specifically emailed ahead of the stay to make sure the restaurant would be open and serving food (we received a reply to say it was indeed open), we arrived after a very long drive to a bar and restaurant with all the lights off and were told they were closed. The room was ok, but slightly damp and the shower was very poor. No WiFi in my room / part of the hotel and phone signal was dipping in and out. The owners were friendly, but it felt like a ghost town unfortunately.

- Ingo (8/5): Very good - Very big and comfortable room and bathroom Nice house in nature surroundings It was not a real problem but for walkers like us (without a car) it is a bit far (1 mile) away from the path and also to the next Pub you have to walk along a dangerous road without a pedestrian lane

- Verified traveler (8/5): It ticked the boxes! - It is a very interesting enterprise with the owner adapting to circumstances and demand. We thought it was a bit pricey but realised that as it was the only accommodation near the near the footpath they capitalised on it. The room was pretty and comfortable but toilet was dirty,a piece of plastic left by shower and only two teabags! Very pleasant,friendly and informative hosts.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Good - Very friendly staff and very comfortable Clean - lovely grounds Given its location, very good that bar meals are available Not their fault and actual place and site lovely, but walking up from Port Wrnkle on the road, particularly the B road felt dangerous. It did dissuade us from going into Crafthole to eat and so the bar meals very welcome

Breakfast was great; lots of choices, plenty of fruit. Everything was clean and comfortable. The long hill up from Portwrinkle (which could have been avoided as it turns out).
- Sandra (5/5): Comfortable room but food was disappointing. - The room was pleasant and the beds were comfortable. Fiona was lovely. The food selection wasn't as expected both at dinner and breakfast. The hotel needed updating to attract more clients.
