Thanks for a great stay

- maria (10/5): - I really enjoy staying at the pendle inn. It is in a lovely location. The meals are excellent
- Karen (10/5): - Lovely stay friendly staff lovely food , peaceful and relaxing . I will recommend yo friends and family
- Paige (10/5): Amazing - Amazing stay beautiful place
- Eric (8/5): - Rubbish bin not emptied after previous guests, lights upstairs not all working. Everything else was great, helpful staff and great service
- Fiona (8/5): - Nice location but rooms need a bit of TLC
- Christine (10/5): - It’s in a lovely village location with amazing walking in the surrounding area
- Marie (10/5): - Lovely pub, accommodation could have been more comfortable in living room, and more cutlery and some washing up products in kitchen would be good. Bed was very comfortable and would definitely stay again now we know what to take with us
- mark (10/5): Super place - Amazing place to use as a base whilst exploring the local area. The bedroom unit was a home from home.
Dinner in the conservatory was excellent with good views.
Would highly recommend
- Nicola (10/5): - Excellent value. The rooms we stayed in are not actually in the pub but are small split level chalets outside each with own entrance which was nice for coming and going at our leisure. They were simple but well equipped. Small living space downstairs and bedroom upstairs with a huge kingside bed that was very comfortable. No breakfast but literally across the road is the Barley Mow where we had a lovely choice of breakfasts. The area is outstandingly beautiful. Would definitely recommend. .
- Andrew (8/5): - Bit of confusion on checking in as we were originally given a room that hadn't been made up or cleaned, but that was a genuine error and we were quickly given the right room. Comfortable, big bed in loft space with a compact bathroom and even a kitchenette on the ground floor. Food in pub excellent (book a table) but breakfast from Barley Mow pub 50 yards up the road.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely place to visit - Accomodation was lovely. My husband and daughter had an evening meal and the food was very good, especially the Cheese and onion pie. I was unwell so did not eat out but they very kindly offered to make me something to take out. Will definitely go back.
- Sue (10/5): We ❤️The Pendle Inn - The Pendle Inn was a great place to stay. Had dinner there with our little pug on our arrival first night and staff were really welcoming. They opened up the kitchen for us even though they officially closed at 6.30pm on Sundays also had free dog treats on the fireplace and our dinner was really excellent. The location is fabulous right in the heart of Pendle area fantastic views of Pendle Hill and great walks
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK, but wouldn't stay again. - Room was good, apart from the bathroom which although lovely was incredibly small. Food was good. All the staff seemed very young and there didn't appear to be anyone in charge. One of the young girls made an offensive remark in a loud voice which the whole restaurant must have heard. Very rude and unprofessional. It was very quiet in the evening as they closed at 8.00 p.m. (last food orders at 7.00 p.m.), not a bad thing, but had the impression that if there was a problem there was no-one to contact. There were a couple of dodgy characters in a van in the car park early morning, but they had disappeared by the time we left. On checking in we were told to just put the key in the door when leaving as there would not be anyone around until 12.00 noon.
- Paul (10/5): - We loved our short stay at the Pendle Inn, the 1 bedroom cottage was clean and tidy. Bathroom was very clean and shower was fab. The kitchenette area had all utensils required if you were self catering. We ate at the Pendle Inn for our evening meal the food was tasty and the service was excellent.
The bedroom at the cottage was perfectly sized and the velux window is a great touch as the view of the night sky was amazing. So peaceful and relaxing we will definitely return.
- JAMES (10/5): - Great location. A beautiful room. Lovely staff.
- John (10/5): - Lovely room with kitchen & microwave
- Sue (8/5): - 2nd stay at the Pendle inn, lovely little 1 up, 1 down cottage. Only criticism is there is no hob or small oven so even though it’s self catering you’re restricted as only have microwave & toaster to cook on
- Allan (8/5): Just add magic - Enjoyed my brief stay at Pendle Inn. Self-contained apartment was clean and comfortable, staff friendly, good dinner.
Only down-side was no breakfast service though a good takeaway service was available from cabin in the park opposite from 10am, but not ideal given the wet weather.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fun room, nice pub, ideal for walking up pendle hill
- Di (8/5): - Evening meal here was excellent. Accommodation was lovely, all you need is there. Clean and tidy. Only 2 small points, could do with a new hairdryer and the sofa you sink into it needs some support under it. Would definitely stay again though.
- Andrea (8/5): Great break - Lovely break although we were expecting a small hob
Lovely clean rooms
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location for peace and quiet. Property is behind the Inn so nice and close for food and drink. Great area for avid walkers. Only downfall was the property was very compact.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love this property and always stay here when in Pendle. The beds are very comfortable and large, the surroundings are peaceful. It is nice to be in a self contained suite with facilities for self catering breakfast/lunch. The only issue I had is that I couldn’t turn off the bathroom radiator and kept burning myself. It would be idea to have a small coffee table/side table to put drinks on too. Pets are allowed too and still the rooms always feel fresh and clean. The bar is full of character and the staff are lovely. Food is perfect especially after a long hike and there are a good selection of local ales and gins available
- Verified traveler (10/5): - we had a little bungalow to stay in sittig area kitchen bathroom & bedroom
- nigel (8/5): Good accomadation and pub - A little hidden gem of a place, nice accomadation, very deceiving when you first pull in to car park you think rooms are small but they are very spacious, 2 floors downstairs has a couch, telly and a little kitchen a pull out table, fridge and microwave provided. Second floor bedroom.
Shower was downstairs very temperamental, good wifi in rooms, pub was good food and staff were very friendly definitely would stay there again.
- Sue (8/5): Pleasantly surprised by the room and its amenities - We were pleasantly surprised to find the room was more of a small self-catering unit with some food preparation facilities and also a small seating area with TV. The massive and comfortable bed was upstairs which made the accommodation feel much larger than expected. A great touch was the fresh milk in the fridge rather than the usual cartons of UHT.
The decor is fairly simple and plain but that suited us and our initial feeling was that we would be happy to stay there for a long weekend not just the one night we had booked.
Price very reasonable too!
Staff very helpful and friendly.
- Deborah (8/5): Beautiful area - Lovely pub with great food, the local area is stunning!
- Debra (10/5): English countryside perfection! - This was one of our favorite places! Quiet and accommodating...this is a perfect English Country Inn! The area is a great place hiking, exploring and relishing the beauty! We love the Pendle Inn!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Booked 3 rooms for the team - they all were happy
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love every minute of it. One or two little things need repairing, the shower door is not fixed at the bottom, the taps in the sink need repairing, the extraction fan in the bathroom didn't work. But I love staying there anyway.
- Mario (8/5): Very good value for money - I stayed in one of the little cottages which was a bit tired but OK for my requirements. I rather stay in a place like this than in a chain hotel. Lovely surroundings, friendly staff would definitely stay there again.
- Frederick (10/5): Pleasant stay. - Very scenic area. Pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I booked the hotel but had to cancel the booking. I got no confirmation from Expedia, even though I sent a number of emails. Still got charged for one night.
- DAVID (8/5): Stay in February - was good for a overnight stay , could be improved if the Pendle Inn catered for breakfast, food in the pub was excellent, no phone signal what so ever thou, very good WIFI thou, if you drive 1/2 mile up the road signal reappeared. scenery was nice, be very pleasant in the summer months.
- Joanne (10/5): A really super place. - We had an amazing time. The location was beautiful, the people were friendly, the food was amazing. We loved it.
- suzanne (10/5): A quiet getaway that you wouldn't know is there - A great self catering bungalow set over 2 floors, in the grounds of the Pendle Inn Pub, Barley. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. Really friendly staff at the bar and easy check in although the pub gets really busy around evening meal times. These little bungalows are self contained, with Living room/kitchenette and bathroom with walk in shower downstairs and bedroom upstairs with lovely comfy kingsize bed. My only criticism is that there was no wardrobe so I hung my dresses over the Bannister (not much of a problem) and the velux window (bedroom) was boarded over. Would have been nice to be able to look out. It was pitch black at night and really quiet. Perfect!!
- Rob (10/5): Brilliant! - As a lover of 'Pub Hotels' as opposed to the corporate plastic variety this was perfect. Lovely setting in rural Lancs but not too far from Burnley and Blackburn. Cheery bar with good beer and friendly bar staff plus very comfortable acom that comprised a downstairs sitting room, kitchenette shower and loo then upstairs a very comfy large double bed. Will def stay again when in the area
- P G (8/5): Family away day - Booked three rooms for a family birthday, everything great including the food!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pendle Inn Barley - The accommodation was clean and in a quiet location. I would have liked a tea pot and perhaps some instructions to use the equipment.
- Sean (10/5): Fantastic One Night Stay - Fantastic one night stay in the Pendle Inn. The food in the pub was fantastic. Will definitely return
- sheila (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Great place to stay and great pud with excellent meals
- Verified traveler (10/5): Really cosy cottage with beautiful views - Good food and very welcoming stay. I booked what I thought was going to be one room, it turned out to be a lovely little cottage.
- June (8/5): Enjoyable - We had a relaxing weekend
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible never go here - Good location in Barley and decent room in annex apartment. Walls are paper thin. Even a quiet TV next door can be heard. No internet access in the rooms. I had to go to the pub to get even spotty and slow service. The barmaid was very friendly, helpful and apologetic but could not do much. Later I mentioned the issue to the owner - she said it was not her fault and blamed Expedia. I asked for a late check out and was told no. The Owner was surly and unhelpful. Definitely not 4 star and absolutely not worth the over hundred pounds I paid. If I need to be near Barley again I'm going to stay at the Oaks or the Barley Mo across the street.
- haze and Andre (8/5): Nice hotel with motel type rooms near Pendle Hill - The pictures on the web site probably don't do the place justice. Very relaxing, our room (7) was in an annex and was a good size on two levels. Living/diner/kitchen plus bathroom downstairs with a bedroom upstarirs. Everything was clean and comfortable. Lunch and dinner is available at the bar/resturant and the food was very good and reasonably priced.
- John (10/5): excellent - This was a lovely little cottage with living area and separate sleeping quarters.
the manager stayed behind late to give me my key as i arrived after 11pm.
would defo be back
- Geoffrey (10/5): Excellent Break - Good accomodation,clean,friendly staff,good food,good location,good beer what more do you want.
