You could hear your neighbors snore, breakfast is something you would expect from a motel, size of rooms are too small, water provided from an outside vending machine, and outdated EV charging cables that do not work. The only positive is the location, which is the same for all the hotels on the same street.

- Aletheia (10/5): Great value! - Very kind, helpful staff. BEAUTIFUL location. Loved the fire pit which kept my friend and I company each evening. The Adirondack chairs were also a nice touch and we spent mornings there looking out at the ocean. Adequate and clean rooms with comfortable beds, a nice shower. Just an overall great spot. Price was on point. The continental breakfast is very basic but not bad for what it was. I highly recommend Castle Inn.

- Sebastian (8/5): Erg leuk gehad, super locatie en mooie schone nette kamers! Jack, nogmaals bedankt!! - We waren op doorreis. Hier 1 overnachting gemaakt. Vriendelijk personeel! Jack, nog bedankt voor de service en de tips! Kamer erg schoon en netjes. Tot laat gebruik gemaakt van t verwarmd zwembad en de heerlijke spa!! Het ontbijt was zeer karig.
- emmaxoxo (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Only stayed 1 night, always enjoy coming to Moonstone Beach. Check in guy wasn't very friendly. Breakfast is very basic. Parking is free. Room was ok, bed was ok, the water out the shower felt slimy, I believe they have soft water. The complimentary cookies in the room were a nice touch. Moonstone Grill was right next door as well.

I didn’t see an ironing board or iron. Too many kids but that’s no one’s fault just my preference to be around adults. The provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash were very difficult to get out.

- corkyccat (8/5): Good Highway 1 stop - Stayed here 2 nights on our trip down Highway 1 - I’m not really used to motels and initial reaction was it seemed quite basic - but actually we found it very good - the reviews from others are spot on - it’s quiet, rooms clean, reasonably spacious, staff helpful and friendly, great location near the beach, walking distance to restaurant, heated pool, easy to park, short drive into Cambria, Breakfast was ok. So for a stop on your road trip I’d recommend.

The room was clean, that’s super important to me, the view was nice, the grounds were really nice! Loved the fire pit, nice that the pool was heated, and the Adirondack chairs out front overlooking Moonstone Beach were a nice touch. So were the outdoor folding chairs that came with the room. Great idea! My ‘neighbors’ kept their door open all afternoon. Expect it was so they could lie in bed and see the ocean. Kind of tacky, made me uncomfortable coming and going. Walls were a little thin, but all the other good things made up for it.

Jack was concerned about my friends that he called my cell because I booked the reservations. Jack wanted to make sure my friends we OK Thank you again Jack, its people like you that make us want to come back to Castle Inn Like everyone else price, wish it was cheaper

The room itself was clean and tidy. The bathroom shower was excellent. The property is right on the beach and one can watch the sunset in peace and quiet. The pool, though not used, look in good shape. The breakfast is meagre to say the least. It is a breakfast to go. Coffee, a couple of cereal choices and pastries and that is it.
