Guest Reviews
- Alejandro (10/5): - Excellent place!
- Rhonda (6/5): - It was okay.
- Ernest (6/5): - Very little mantainance. Carpet dirtyl, Floor trim missing, needs paint, shower control nearly impossible to turn. Bed confortable. Bedding and bath clean.
- Julia M (10/5): - The King room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Overall, the room was clean and quiet. My only complaint is that, despite several restaurants on the premesis, I could not get food delivered, so Dominos got my business. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay and will be back in a few days.
- June (6/5): - First floor smells of smoke. You have to go through to eat or to check in
- Ronald (2/5): - Not a thing
- Markus (10/5): - Our room was really large and had a really great view of the mountains. The beds were really comfortable in the bathroom very clean. The service was excellent.
- Ashley (10/5): - I needed a room at the last minute because I was driving from California to Colorado with my husband and beloved dog. I just needed something clean and pet friendly. To my surprise, I actually liked this hotel because of how it was renovated to accommodate people with dogs. The 2nd floor I was on had no carpet..yes! This is essential when it comes to pets. My dog is trained to not go potty indoors, but we all know not everyone does this with their pets. We also know how gross and smelly carpets get after a while. Second, my room was spacious and did not have all the extra stuff to crowd the room. Again, no carpet, only hard flooring. It was clean and did not smell. Trust me, I have stayed at the downtown San Jose CA Hilton due to my dog and I was not comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet. My husband also commented on the cleanliness of our floor and room. He even went so far as to make a note to stay here again when we drive through. The hotel also had a private dog run out back that was easily accessible across from the lobby check-in desk. Finally, I did not have to roam the streets looking for an area for my dog to go potty…super convenient and safe! Upon leaving early the next morning, there is a Starbucks and gas station in the same lot. My recommendation: this is an excellent hotel for pet friendly folks in an excellent location.
- Betty (10/5): - Room was clean, beds were comfy. Great value for the money. Love the little casino and cafe.
.
- David (10/5): - Very nice would stay again
- Shawn (6/5): - Old and out dated, smelled funny
- Brandi (10/5): - Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Thank you!
- Valetta (6/5): - I come from Texas where there is no smoking in any public place. Before I left Nevada to live in Texas there was no smoking allowed in public places. The Casino was dingy, full of smoke, depressing. It was not what I expected from a Wyndham property.
- Marie (6/5): - The furniture was new, and the bed was nice, but the bathroom was horrendous. I had them change my first room because I didn't want to shower in there. And then the second room had a shower that leaked. The first floor smelt like cigarette smoke, but it is a casino with smoking. It was the cheapest option, but I would probably stay somewhere else if I was in the area again.
- Gurdeep (10/5): - Good for its price point.
- WAYNE (2/5): Would not stay here - The bathroom was not clean. Noisy all night long. Poor service at cafe. Could hear people yelling all night long.
- Malia (10/5): - Amazing our go to vacation spot
- Christy (6/5): Share the towels and single soap bar - Only given one tiny bar of soap and two towels for a double bed room with family of three. Had to keep switching the soap between sink and shower. Shower floor was in poor condition, stained and moldy.
- Hope (2/5): - Do not stay at this property.
- Joker-A (10/5): - The room was very cozy. Everything was 👍 great
- Kevin and Bonnie (7/5): -
- Gabriela (10/5): - The place is clean, and the room. The Casino is allow to smoke, so just imagine the smell. The hotel is 10 mins away from Henderson.
- Chambers (8/5): -
- David (8/5): No refrigerator in room - Casino connected Didn't have a refrigerator.
- Francoise (10/5): -
- Donna D (8/5): - Comfortable bed.
- KIRK (6/5): Ok for the price - For the price it’s a place to rest your head at night.
- William (4/5): We will not be back again. Twice is enough. - Check-in was good. Friendly. Room was clean. Comfy bed. The Wi-Fi did not work. We picked this hotel because it said they had Wi-Fi . Not true…it would not stay connected. We were in a room that had a connecting door. The voices next door were so loud I couldn’t sleep. No buffer for noise.
- Denis (8/5): - Was nice
- PhilipC1677 (4/5): OK if you are visiting the HooverDam. - Smoke smell at checking. That's assuming you can find the reception as all the entrances are for the casino.
Room was OK. Near Bolder Dam and cheaper than Vegas hotels.
- Thomas Valdo (10/5): - Staff is awesome great steakhouse, very clean and quiet
- Jayne (10/5): - Perfect for a quick overnight. Lobby was a little smoky because it is part of casino. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower is dumb.
- Tanequia (10/5): - Clean room
- Christina (10/5): -
- Guest (5/5): - No breakfast
- Monica (10/5): - Clean quiet staff is wonderful
- James (10/5): Great value great people great great time - Plenty of options for food and entertainment
- Teresa (8/5): The bed was very comfortable - We had an issue with the tv that they couldn’t fix so they moved us to another room. We had a small dog with us. I selected them because they said they are pet friendly but the website said nothing about a charge. When I checked in is when they said it is $30 more with a dog. I think that should be told up front not once you arrive and are checking in.
- Christopher (6/5): - Restaurant inside the hotel was closed. Looks like it’s going to be remodeled. There is an another restaurant across the parking lot. The rooms are fine, but showers need to be updated. Lastly, you could hear the people talking in the room next to you. Overall, it’s not too bad if you’re just looking for somewhere cheap to sleep. Hope this helps.
- Sonia (8/5): -
- Kathy (4/5): - Checked us in to a room that was already ocuppied. Did upgrade us after that. Elevator carpet and hallways carpet worn out. Old and musty. Room was outdated. Bed was comfortable, wont stay there again
- Petrenko (6/5): -
- Philip (3/5): Location good for Hoover Dam. - The diner next door. The smell of smoke on entering. The lack of service at bar. The "casino" which was just slot machines.
- David (7/5): Simple, clean hotel with friendly staff. - The place was clean. My first room had a problem with the air conditioning. It would blow cold air for 20 seconds, then warm air for a minute. They moved me to another room.
- lisaeP7461MV (6/5): location for travelling through Vegas works - Casino area smoky - restaurants were both closed for Reno
Room big but bathroom - yikes - hard to close door without moving around it - supposed to be recently renovated but bathtub had a bad repair job
- Jason (8/5): - Nice place if you want to relax before flight the next day away from all the noise. Extremely friendly staff and bartenders.
- Lillian (3/5): - One night stay last minute choice - close to Hoover Dam. Had a smell upon arrival, a little run down could use some upgrades.
- Vivian Cadena (6/5): -
- Jodie (2/5): - The room was clean and decent The hotel and casino staff were rude and dismissive. The restaurants in the hotel/casino were closed for renovations. I was charged $100 more than what my reservation was for.. restaurant that was open overcharged me for a bowl of spaghetti that was full of water. Very disappointed with the entire stay.
- Guest (1/5): Bad service. Poor communication. Issue after issue. - It wasn’t a great experience. So many issues from not getting my room cleaned when I asked for multiple days, my shower door didn’t close, my TV quit working, the fire alarm going off multiple times for “testing” without being notified there would be a test so I ran down the fire escape stairwell with my 3 year old barefoot at 7:30 am thinking the hotel was on fire. Being told I would receive a refund for 3 nights and having to call the front desk multiple times about it then they ended up charging my debit card the amount that was to be refunded plus 2 more transactions that I never authorized. Now I have contacted them multiple times & nothing is being done to give me back my money which is over $400 and I paid through booking so why they are even making charges on my debit card is beyond me!
- Guido (7/5): -
- Babette (7/5): Just needed to sleep to split up my drive. - Room was clean & comfortable. Smoke when entering
- Jose (10/5): -
- mark (8/5): - It was very pleasant
- Anthony (6/5): - Room was nice but no refrigerator or microwave which made it inconvenient
- Scott (9/5): We will be back :-) - Convenient and clean. Just an older facility but kept up well.
- Jody (6/5): - The hotel is what was expected for an old hotel. Nothing fancy just a olace to lay your head and wash your butt.
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Maria Del Rosario (10/5): - I am very happy with customer service. Our room had an issue which was resolved promptly. Thank you!!
- Venkata Sai (10/5): - Good
- susan (8/5): - Very comfortable bed. The shower floor in 311 didn't look clean and we were not able to even turn the shower on! It seemed loose from the wall and difficult to turn
- Patricia (8/5): - I don’t want to be unfair in my review, because I understood upon booking that there was no guarantee of a mini fridge in the room. But there wasn’t one, and from what I understood when I checked in, none of the rooms have been updated in that way. I ended up using a large quantity of ice to keep some food and drinks cold overnight, which worked out, but that might not work for all travelers, such as a nursing mother who is pumping.
The folks at the front desk were very courteous, and I appreciated the free drink coupon! I enjoyed a glass of wine while inhaling the incomparable scent of a casino. No shade, but I am not a gambler, and so this was kind of an anthropological pleasure. If you’re like me and not a gambler, you’ll be comfortable in your room.
It was tricky to find the entrance, so if you arrive after dark as I did, you might wish to park with your belongings in the car until you get your bearings. The main door to the reception is very poorly labeled, by which I mean: not labeled at all.
Everything here is on the shabby side, even more than in many of the downscale places I typically stay, but I got a good price for the night at the last minute. If you don’t think the price is right, then you might look further.
- Valquiria (7/5): - Quarto espaçoso e confortável. Cheiro de cigarro insuportável no Lobby
- Jody (5/5): -
- Nolan (8/5): - The facilities are old, but have been updated. The bed was clean and comfortable, the room was well kept. The only complaint I had was the shower was very small and not in the greatest condition.
- Richard (6/5): - No hot water for showers. Shower controls difficult
- Pamela (8/5): Hidden gem!! - The beds were quite comfortable. The food at the Bullet Train restaurant was excellent!! The hotel was pretty quiet overnight. I would definitely stay here again. Good value for the price.
- Sheri (10/5): - Staff is always wonderful. Room needs renovation, ice maker has been broken both stays.
- Bonnie (8/5): - Clean, quiet room. Price was perfect. Bullet train meals were delightful.
- thomas (10/5): - Good
- Elizabeth Nichols (5/5): Disappointed and frightened. - Convenient. Comfortable. Looked worn, felt dirty.....needs complete renovation. Carpet in halls and room were dingy, needs replacement.
Fire alarm began ringing around 9:30AM and CONTINUED for 30 minutes! Neither housekeeping nor front desk were alerted about the test. It was quite alarming, disturbing, and annoying.
- George A (8/5): - The shower floor was disgusting greasy.
- Patrick (10/5): - Service was great
- charya (2/5): -
Smell bad , no microwave, no refrigerator, water not hot and dirty inside and outside
- Rebecca (10/5): - The beds were very comfortable and they had full size pillows!!
- Charles (4/5): - Rooms are very dated, shower looked disgusting and in dire need of repair. Air conditioner would not adjust temperature so the room was like a freezer or an oven, no in between.
- Terri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): - Great hotel. Very clean. Wonderful staff. Slept like a baby
- Steven (8/5): - It was a good stay.
- Stacy (6/5): Simple motel, dated, but ok for quick overnight - Good location off the highway. Quick check in and checkout. Ice machines by elevator was good. Needs refurbishing, perhaps some in progress but they’re still using the old rooms clearly. Broken door (looks like someone had busted in - all the safety locks ripped out). Shower pieces ripped off wall, handle broken, etc - looks like someone had done some serious damage to this room very recently and they did a quick cheap fix with plastic handles, left locks unfixed, shower in bad shape.
- Kristy (10/5): - Quick service! It was our small honeymoon getaway and they were very kind to upgrade our room.
- Laurie (8/5): - Place service was excellent
- Abra (8/5): - bigger showers would make it perfect
- robert (6/5): - The reason for the three star rating is because for two nights we had to wash with full bath towels. They did not have any washcloths not to mention. The restaurant is temporary closed, so there was no place to eat other than in Henderson or the bullet train and I wouldn’t go in there . for the room, the shower door was messed up wouldn’t shut all the way as well as the bed look like it was broke down on one side so you felt like you were laying in a dip. The pillows are less desirable bring your own I recommend maybe even your washcloths. I will have to say it was kind of quiet plenty of the lights outside and feel safe to walk around and for anybody that has Tesla as we have a Tesla there are charging stations there within the vicinity close by so it’s kind of nice if you need to charge you can be in your hotel room then go down and move your car overall I gave it a three star rating. They did say that they were understaffed, but that gives no reason why we should have to wash with bath towels.
- Nancy (6/5): - The room it ok but service very slow
- Lelia (10/5): Exceptional - The room was big and roomie very clean beds were comfortable.... The only thing I didn't like was the shower .water was hard to turn off and on it was a old shower head And on off hand did not work well I'll....
- Anonymous (10/5): It was good - Location Room ac did not cool the cool to our liking
- Samuel (5/5): Passable -
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (8/5): - The room was very spacious, comfortable bed, and clean UNTIL you get to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was clean but the shower was horrible. I don’t know if it was mold or just the porcelain wearing off but the entire rim between glass and shower frame was black and disgusting. My husband and I didn’t even use the shower because of it.
- John (8/5): - Quick check in.
Good value for one night $81 family of four.
Small casino, pleasant, we smoke, no table games.
2 minute walk to convenience store.
- Heaven (10/5): Exceptional -
- DanelleR_12 (6/5): I’d been before, I was surprised that a deposit for two rooms, that I wasn’t told about and no amenities in one room, it - A few things changed no buffet any more, the entrance closest to room check in under construction had to take my 17 year old ans 15 year old grandsons thru casino .
What hurt most is paying 50 dollars each room. Cause of other people stupid doing
- Nicky (8/5): Historical hotel - I stayed here just because of the hotel/casinos history and it was definitely worth it
Good clean room for a good price
Ross/Russ the barman is a really nice guy, really helpful and made sure I always had a drink in hand
Lots of slot machines to play (lots of lightning link style and buffalo machines) Lack of table games
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (1/5): The stale cigarette smoke is beyond disgusting. - So stinky, smoky. The bathroom was old and dirty. This is place that needs to be torn down.
- Ezequiel (10/5): - Clean
- Lisa (2/5): Never again - Convenient Very old, outdated. Elevator is scary. Lobby is very smoky
