• Ka Wai (7/5): Don't expect much, value for money. - Comfortable and clean bed and pillows. Live music in lobby and restaurant. Swimming narrow yet long. Seems like a choice of locals. Many minor defects in design and facilities, like chest blocking the way, bathroom having no lock, poor draining of bathtub, no refill of shower gel and shampoo, etc. But not as bad as said in other comments.

Service - Decent size room, comfortable bed, located within 20min from all major shopping Mall We stayed 6 nights in the Deluxe Double 1).Very poor igene specially in the dining room with fruit flies flying everywhere and small cocorouches 2). Some of the food wasnt fresh at all. 3). The locking/unlocking system on the door kept glitching having to go down to recepoton to reset the card 4). Lobby area sofa had several stains on it 5). Hotel room service food is not a good value for money and some foods wasnt even fresh

• Rahma (2/5): All the rooms are dirty and full of damps. Bathroom especially! Leaked from the ceiling and exhaust fan didn’t work. Ver - Nothing. All is crap!!! It’s old and full of damps! We are from the UK 🇬🇧, and we supposed to stay here for 4 days 3 nights for vacation, but decided to checkout in day 2! Rooms were foisty, damp and full of molds 🤮we asked to change room 2x but apparently all the rooms are same! Dirty + smell damp everywhere… AC is damn hot! Bathroom was dirty and smells funny - Any Red Doors/ OYO is even better hygiene than this hotel 😠Seriously, you guys need to take a very deep consideration to spend your money here. Despite of what people said about the location is great, to us… this wasn’t even really next to main city centre. And….. Rooms are not soundproof! So yeah, no peaceful & relax experience during our stay here. NEVER AGAIN…….!

• eldos633 (6/5): 3 star rating for 3 star hotel - 1st thing 1st... The hotel location is very strategic coz its right in the middle of city, near train stasiun and bus station. You dont need to worry about the food coz there are so many fast food restaurants n mini market around there. The service: the receptionist is very kind, humble and helpful. But the waiters/waitress in the restaurant somehow i would say little bit rigid, little bit slow like still trainee. The room: they need to check the bathroom coz it took long times to filling the bathtub n the bathroom floor kinda no steep enough and can create puddle on the floor which is for me is big no no for bathroom. Also its shame the glass of the window is not clean. N why the cleaning service didnt clean the floor right below the mattress? It really surprised me how dirty it is. Breakfast menu: Nothing really special cause i really expect the taste will be good but it didnt taste good at all... The fried rice is not well seasoning, the fried tempe also need more seasoning, the chicken porridge somehow its toooo salty (my wife said like that). Overall the hotel is not bad but should be can be more better than that...

• Liv2710xx (6/5): Average hotel- not clean - Myself and my partner stayed in this hotel for just 1 night as we were flying the next day. Our bedroom had not been cleaned properly. The previous occupants toothpaste was still left out on the side. Hairs all over the floors. Lots of mould in the shower. The water jug had not been filled up and still had a bit of water in it from the previous occupants. The glasses in the bathroom had not been cleaned/changed. The walls are also thin & we were given a connecting room. I was expecting a lot more of this hotel but unfortunately due to the uncleanliness of it, I was pretty disappointed.

• Blair (6/5): On what seemed a very busy day when we booked in and difficult circumstances with lots of things going wrong that day th - The location was pretty good for us and it’s only like 30 m from probably one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve come across in Indonesia. the staff tried very hard to be as helpful as they could given the circumstances. We give them points for their personal efforts. Don’t book floor 11 or 12 the Aircon there does not work. It seems a bit rundown and we needed to be moved of those two floors. The property was value for money but was rundown and sparkling clean. That was good enough for sleeping in the end.

• Grant (10/5): - The hotel is good. It is aging a bit, but during my stay they were renovating it. I was checked in by Fegi, who was very pleasant and helpfull, as were all the staff. The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. It is a bit away from everything, meaning you have to rely on taxis, but because of that it is also very quiet at night.

• Robert (2/5): Add a bit of budget and stay somewhere else - Good selection at the breakfast buffet. A no go. We got an upgrade from a superior to a deluxe room and wondered if it was a downgrade. The photo looks much better than the room is. Facilities are worn out and it does not feel clean (some spots might not disappear any more even after a deep cleaning). No idea when the windows have been cleaned the last time outside. If you open the tap of the washbasin, it touches the mirror. A plastic protection there in wood look is already falling off. Avoid to look at the sealed a d grouted parts of the shower. No towels at the pool and no staff there. Scratched toilet bowl seat and clogged toilet there. Liquid soap was empty. Staff at the reception did not know opening times of the few sights, it just consults Google maps. Breakfast staff does not speak English. The hotel seems to target mainly Indonesian customers. The egg station is outside right in front of an exhaust. The breakfast selection was good, but expect jams and juices that taste chemical.

Novita and Mulayadi are great in their role as all the others were able to perform their duties with professionalism as well as tender loving care. • Carolina (9/5): Comfortable stay in Surabaya - The hotel rooms are pretty comfortable and thanks to the big windows you can enjoy the view over the city. The first day we had a problem with the AC properly and the staff promptly changed our room to another one with a functioning AC. The breakfast buffet is quite varied and the offer comprises local dishes. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and the dishes were very tasty.

Actually we booked the hotel (for one night to catch the flight the next day very early) only for one reason - the pool (since we were travelling with our kid). After check-in we were told the pool was closed due to some activities. Nobody informed us about this issue before. Besides, the room, bathroom and carpets in the building were quite dirty, it seemed they haven’t seen the hoover for a long, long time :(

• Joseph (6/5): Functional stay - perfect for a one night go between - Comfortable room and bed, excellent value for money. Room service was prompt and friendly. The shower and water pressure were good, however the shower areas itself was rather mouldy. The room as a whole had quite a tired look but was overall comfortable. The kettle wasn't ideal with the lid being broken, so if your pour water from it you need to hold the lid on.
• Familyplanettour (10/5): Exceptional - Clean hotel, good and inexpensive restaurant, and good spread for the buffet breakfast. The pool is decent for the kids. Within walking distance of a few restaurants and a bunch of ATM's, for anything else you need to use Grab.
