On some days, as early as 9:55 a.m., the staff had already started putting food away and unplugging the waffle maker and ovens, even though breakfast was supposed to still be available. This was especially frustrating because the elevator often took more than 10 minutes to arrive, making it difficult to get there on time.

She made us feel so comfortable and brought such a genuine, fun vibe that made the whole experience unforgettable. We truly had the best time in Chicago, laughing, enjoying every moment, and just living in the moment together. It’s rare to meet someone who can light up the whole atmosphere like that, but she definitely did. From beginning to end, everything just flowed so naturally, and it turned into one of those memories we’ll always look back on and smile. The rooms were good, the location cannot be beat for access to shopping and other businesses. It was exactly where we needed it. The staff were all accommodating and helpful. - Wisner (10/5): I love - The kitchen… I brought my two kids with me, they don’t like anything that is cooked outside of their home, so my wife was aboe to cook for them. I also love the breakfast served every morning, the staff was exceptional, they greet you every time they see you and asked if everything was okay, I will definitely spend my summer vacation there if God permits. The room was too small, there should have been a sofa bed beside the king bed. The parking was too expensive, it could have been 50 dollars instead of 72 dollar per day because if a guest is spending more than 3 nights there, they could find a way to accomodate the guests with the parking price.

Free breakfast had plenty of options and the staff-especially Daymon during breakfast- were wonderful and cheerful. Room was clean, but overall condition needs work (loose outlet, bathroom wear, vent needs cleaning, thermostat issues, loud fan at night, rusted silverware). For a similar price, the connected Hampton Inn we stayed at last year was in better shape. Would stay again, but only on the Hampton Inn side.

- Adventure792024 (4/5): Not Hilton level service - Have been staying here for mire than 2 weeks now & while the entire stay was pleasant, the hot water heater seems to have broken down since 2 days so there is no hot water in the entire building. You would expect Hilton group of hotels to be able to provide this basic amenity in 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature days; but alas, you can only take freezing cold showers and wash your hands with freezing tap water. Hilton ought to penalize the franchise owners for ruining Hilton’s reputation.

This was a good hotel in the center of it all that didn't break the bank. It was still pricey but given the prices in Chicago it wasn't terrible. Parking was about $80 FYI

For 50% of our stay (4 nights), we were left without hot water in our room. To make matters worse, it was snowing outside and temperatures were freezing during those nights. The lack of hot water was not just an inconvenience; it was a health concern, as it was impossible for my 7-year-old daughter to bathe in such frigid conditions. We are deeply upset by the hotel's negligence in providing basic essential services under these extreme weather conditions. While the front desk staff initially acted professionally by formally committing to a 4-night refund as compensation for this major service failure, the hotel has since failed to honor that agreement. It has been over 30 days since our checkout, and despite my repeated attempts to resolve this privately through emails to the manager, I have been met with complete silence.

It withdrew more funds from my bank account than expected at first, and multiple transactions remained pending, making it unnecessarily difficult to track and understand the charges - even four days after my departure. Additionally, the booking information was not entirely accurate. While the deposit is listed as $100, it is in fact charged per night, which is not clearly stated. The booking details also indicated that certain services, such as breakfast, were unavailable, which was not the case. It is concerning that the hotel has not clarified these discrepancies, even after they were brought to their attention, as this lack of transparency creates confusion for guests.

- scottemjd06 (4/5): Unable to stay, then unable to get promised refund. - My husband and I checked into this hotel on. Sunday evening for a 6 night stay while work was being done on our house. Only 1 of the 3 elevators was working, and the reception and common areas were very dirty. It looked like they were understaffed, with only one person working the front desk. She was very nice and doing her best. Upon checking in, the room (a 1 bdrm suite) was ok but not great. After getting settled, we noticed that the heat in the bedroom area was not working. We asked the front desk to be moved and we were moved to a similar room. In the new room, there was a strong smell of smoke since it was supposed to be a six night stay, we did not want to smell this for almost a week. We checked out and went to another hotel. The front desk said we would only be charged for the one night, at most. My husband is Hilton Honors, and when he called there, he was told there would be no charge for any nights. Almost a month later and we still have the charge for six nights on our credit card! We have called Hilton Honors 3 times, who has assured us the hotel will reverse the charge, but so far that has not happened. Poor hotel conditions and poor back of house service. Only good thing was front of house service, which was excellent.

- Anywhere_on_the_road (4/5): Expected more. Elevator situation was plain bad - My wife and I recently spent the weekend at the Homewood Suites - Mag mile. The stay is best presented in bullet points. The Good: -Location cannot be beat. Close to all of the Michigan Ave greatest hits. Red line and 66 bus very close. -Staff were all friendly. Front desk recognized my status at check in. Breakfast staff were friendly. -The views and spaciousness of the room were fantastic. -The price was great. The Bad: -There were elevator issues all weekend. Folks were lined up in the lobby and mezzanine level, continually. Often times, an elevator would stop at your floor and it was full. This could happen a few times with each attempt to board. It was brutal. There were no apologies. No signage indicating as such. At a minimum, providing ground floor access to get to the mezzanine via the locked stairwell could have helped (at least at breakfast time). It was handled absolutely horribly. Perhaps, one of my worst Hilton property experiences. I rarely do a 'poor' review. But, this warrants it. -My room (3315) was rather tired. There were iron burns on the living room table/cushion and there were exposed drywall holes and seemingly burn marks where something had previously been affixed to the bedroom wall. Both were indicative of someone in charge just not caring enough. That said, the room was clean.
