Guest Reviews
- Mui Lan (10/5): -
- Ann (8/5): - Very nice hotel. Our room was NOT loft style so they have regular rooms too. We were in building 2 which is separate from building 1. Close to monorail and buses. We rented a car and parked overnight in the garage beside 7-11 right by the hotel which accommodates large cars ( avoid the weird lots with steel gates that rise up or you will pay more and they only accommodate tiny cars). Many bars and restaurants near by. Walking distance to shopping street. Room had soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap. Sink separate from toilet and shower. Keeping water in shower was no problem in our room. Fresh towels daily and room
Cleaning every 2 days. Elevator and stairs available. Free toothbrushes and first welcome drink. (Alcohol or non alcoholic choices). Great staff but had to use app to communicate. Loved this place and would stay here again
- Kati (8/5): Very comfy bed, good value - Nice room with a daily cleaning, Japanese style mattress bed and a pillow were comfy.
Although, the hotel doesn't have a laundry room. No proper curtains to block morning light.
I know that hot water is in shortage in Okinawa islands but still it made me feel a bit down not having hot shower in two days
- Mayumi (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Masahiro (6/5): - This hotel is near the train station.
- Nicolas (8/5): - Good hotel
- MELVIN (10/5): - Be
- Hideaki (4/5): - Even for a budget hotel very poor quality. On arrival we given a map to walk to a totally different building. The carpet in our room is threadbare to the point where you cannot even see the colour or design.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff are very kind and nice. conveniently located.
- Sherman (8/5): Good Value hotel at central location - Happy with the hotel, near the main shopping district. Room size is decent by Japanese standard. Clean and comfortable enough.
- Eagle_C (10/5): Cozy and comfortable room - I have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and I like the loft idea very much. I thought the room is small; however, I found it is spacious and I like the free style. One thing that I dislike is after showering, the toilet floor must get wet no matter which side I was facing when showering.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, minutes to rail station and bus terminal. And the bed was bigger than I expected and very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Suggestion: Install a hook to hang clothes/towel in the bathroom.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel is very clean and staff was very nice. However it does not have free parking as Expedia App filter results shown.
- Sng,i (8/5): - its clean and short walking distance to the shopping street and shopping mall
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Alex (10/5): Great for solo travellers - Close to transport & amenities; room comfortable and clean though loft setup takes a little getting used to.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing room for solo traveller. Get a room on your own, clean and customer service is good. There is a convenient store just downstairs, no worry of going hungry at night. The room exactly like the photo. The location was ok, near international street and monorail.
- Mel (10/5): Your secret private base! - It’s comfy and cosy for the solo traveler. The only problem is the show room. There was no proper door to prevent the splashing from the shower room. The hotel would be perfect if this issue could be fixed.
- Lou (10/5): - Close to shops restaurants and station.
- natalieandmonkey (8/5): Great Option For Budget Stay - I think first off to be upfront- this is a budget hotel and they do charge for a lot extras such as concierge and luggage storage and they don't provide soap or shampoo. I know for some guests it's nickel and diming- but I think they are just tapping into a market and they are very upfront and clear about it.
Now that's out the way- onto the hotel itself! The location is fantastic, you're a couple of minutes walk from the Yui rail stop- Prefectural Government Office- and it's a great midpoint between the sights and a whole host of restaurants and shopping!
The room concept is like a little loft unit which I really loved, it's so cute and great use of space. That said, the bathroom is completely open- there's nothing like getting ready for a shower and realising that you left the blinds open! The bed up top is Japanese style and you also have the air con unit there too. The furnishings were well maintained and I loved the magnet system with symbols based on whether you needed housekeeping on the outside of the door!
Overall- this hotel is a bit like a LCC- great pricing for a clean and basic product however there are some extras not included.
- Vennisa (6/5): Low cost hotel experience - Stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. Overall was good, the hotel location was really convenient, there was 24 hours convenient stall just next to the hotel, drug stores and restaurants. Easy to access to many places and surrounded by quite a fair bit of attractions.
Before the trip, I have visited their website for the direction to hotel, it stated the hotel could be accessed from monorail Kenchomaé Station is within 3-4 minutes walk. Upon arrival, when I went to monorail station to purchase the ticket, but couldn’t find the station name that stated above. Finally found out the station was called different name, Prefectural Office Station. This really need to be updated to avoid confusion.
When arrived at hotel, it was still early around 10am, just tried my luck if I could have early check in. The receptionist told me the check in time was 3pm. This is absolutely fine as standard hotel policy. Hence, I requested to leave my luggage so that I can hang around and came back to check in later. Unfortunately, the receptionist told me that they don’t provided this service, guests have to pay to store their luggage in the coin lockers which location at hotel lobby. This was the first time I experienced this... I don’t blame the receptionist as they just follow the hotel policy, but this was not acceptable for me.
Upon check in, I was been told no amenities will be provided in the room, only towel. This was another shocked to me, as this is really a surprise, as not stated elsewhere when I booked the room... In fact, I don’t mind to bring my own amenities, but this have to be stated in the booking website... I know this is low cost hotel, but all these really surprised me negatively...
All in all, the guest room was really clean, nice staffs and good location.
- KWOK KEUNG (10/5): - Room is tidy and location is excellent.
- WJS88 (8/5): Low cost hotel close to Kokusai Dori, but extras come at a cost, annoyingly - Booked my reservation via bookings.com. Like other occasions, I would order something online to be sent to my hotel.
On arrival, was told to read the regulations which mentioned something like concierge services are chargeable. I said okay, and my parcels appeared from behind me. I had to pay 500 yen each for being sent to the hotel. I was thoroughly taken aback by this.
Other than that, service is pretty decent for a no frills hotel. Very secure as card is needed for access. Note that this hotel only has rooms for solo travellers, so no sharing. Besides, room is small enough for one person and barely any space for a 24inch luggage.
Pros:
- I liked the loft design which was definitely very unique.
- 5 mins walk to the start of Kokusai Dori
- 5 mins walk to Asahibashi station or Prefectural Office Station.
-Food is plentiful around
- Lawson right below.
- Decent price for a very clean hotel
- Amenities given in a little fabric bag.
- Staff who welcome you when you come and go.
Cons:
- Extra amenities like shampoo will cost you money.
- No slippers (but it’s a clean room, so that’s okay)
- Concierge charges like 500 yen for handling one parcel and 200 yen to help you book a taxi. Really, that’s a first for me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Unique living space + Lawson! - I have to say, it was quite convenient having Lawson connected to the first floor lobby. Only hotel guests were able to get back into the hotel lobby via keycard, which was pretty cool and secure. The room itself was quite unique, which I was warned by the friendly staff. You enter your room and the bathroom is on the left. Basically it's a shower AND a connected toilet which is only partitioned via a shower curtain. So after you shower, the floor is wet, which is the same floor as your toilet floor. So be extra careful tippy toeing to the toilet as it can stay wet. Also this same toilet/shower wall is glass so it's see through. I note this, because right across the glass window wall is an actual window which may or may not (depending on your room) overlooks the street across. So if you forget to close the blinds, you're on full display for everyone to see from the streets. I didn't think it was an inconvenience, but I thought it was funny and just something to be mindful of. Now, the bed itself is actually upstairs after your climb a slight spiral staircase, which you have to be careful climbing as it gets a bit tricky before you bang your head once your reach the bed. Yes, the ceiling upstairs is pretty low for your average person. So big foreign people, I'm not sure if this is the place for you. There was two TV's, one upstairs and one downstairs but one remote. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to both the Yui Rail station and Kokusai douri which was awesome.
- Verified traveler (8/5): ok! - Location is very good, near monorail station, bus terminal, City Hall, Kokusai street shopping center, ...
Single room building. Not 24 hours office. Entrance is behind a convenient store. Coin lockers cost more than monorail stations'.
Room is narrow, toilet and shower corner is small, bed area is on a loft (on top of the entrance and washroom) with thin mattress and thin pillow, but low ceiling, tall people has to crawl to get to bed. 1 small fridge and 2 TVs: 1 downstair (?) in front of a desk so it is too close to the eyes and 1 upstair in front of the bed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel room is dirty - The toilet had urine stain around the seat. The bedding was dirty with very noticeable black stain streak on the sleeping surface. Terrible layout and lack of amenities expected in NA and other Asia hotels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good if on budget - The room is smartly designed, tiny but functional. You get what you paid for, and hotel is without amenity which could be purchased from downstairs convenient stores. Good to have few nights if you are on budget
- ALEXANDER (6/5): Very strange place to stay. Not recommend!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Near by station - Location is close to the train station. Buffet was nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The space is very limited. But it's quite and comfortable.
- E (10/5): Calling all backpackers and budget travelers !!! - The location was great, sandwiched between 2 stations. There is a department store very close by, within a 7 min walk, convinient shop next door and just down the road towards Ryobo. Quiet location despite engineer work happening close by. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the lobby looked clean and I already knew but they wanted to confirm with me that there are no amenities and I would have to buy it from the vending machine. They spoke mainly Japanese but the after the lady saw my passport she switched modes and started to speak English. The room was interesting, small and good
for 1 person with a medium suitcase and backpack as there is a slot under the desk for storage. I had the 2 floor room, Japanese style mattress on the 1st with kneeling cushion to watch tv, futon on the top floor up a flight of steep steps. The shower and toilet are combined with no door, room is designed for 1 person only. There is a shower curtain thankfully. I had 2 tvs, one on the lower and one on the upper so I can watch tv in bed too. I thought it was pretty cool and quiet comfy as all I did was sleep and rest after daily adventures. Definitely recommend this hotel for budget travelers and back packers on a solo trip. realky enjoyed staying here!!
- Steven (10/5): Perfect stay in Naha, Okinawa - This hotel is awesome! First of all, it's a great value. Second, I got one of those loft-style solo rooms and it's impressive. They really did a great job putting everything in such a small space. It was perfect for me. They had a tv, fridge and air con and all. Check in and out is smooth and easy. The hotel has great security. The staff are very nice and friendly, even lending me an umbrella when it was pouring rain outside. The location is great too, just about 5-10 minutes away from the busy street. Also, it's attached to a Lawson convenience store, which can be very handy. I would love to give this hotel a 5/5 but it will have to be a 4.5/5 because sadly the wifi wasn't that strong, cutting out several times. But overall I definitely recommend this hotel!
- Sunshine (8/5): New hotel close to city center - The hotel is new and has 3 different locations within a block of each other (only 1 min walk from one to another). My room is of small size but has enough space for me. Lawson and Family Mart convenient stores are both within 1-2 minute walk and are open 24/7, so you can always buy ready cooked meals and just have the sales clerk heat it up in microwave for you! Just 2 minute walk from the Monorail station Asahibashi. The airport is only 10-12 minute ride away from this station. Main shopping street Kokusaidori of the city is only 5 min walk away!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I just stayed over night for a connecting flight and for that it was perfect. Clean, comfortable bed, nice showers. I can recommend it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to monorail - Cozy hotel that is great if you're not planning to be in often. It felt a bit cramped with our suitcases in but we loved there was a Lawson convenience store close by and the monorail was a quick walk away. Decent restaurant selection in the neighbourhood that are accustomed to tourists.
- Tributton (2/5): This is not hospitality. Avoid. - Context: I worked in a variety of hotels,
Both luxury and budget, boutique and huge, for five years.
This place is a classic case of nickel and diming guests to make up for cheap room rates. They charge for storing luggage. (Coin lockers.). They charge for late checkouts. They even wanted to charge for an early checkin -- something they could not provide a written policy for, in contrast to the aforementioned fees. It wasn't written anywhere, but the woman at the front (short hair, glasses) insisted it was the case.
The building is a converted apartment building and you can tell. This place isn't about making you feel welcome and taken care of. It's about making all the money it can off of you at every available opportunity. Avoid.
- Laurel (10/5): Great place for solo travelers - Good location, fun room, interesting place. No toiletries are included, but are available for purchase from a vending machine downstairs and there's a Lawson attached.
- Day (8/5): Nice budget hotel - The hotel located at the end of the Main Street and only few minutes walk to the heart of the centre. The room is small but good enough to have a nice stay. The hotel only provides towel and you have to bring the shampoo and shower gel etc. The staff are not good in English and have a little difficulty while communicating with them. Overall it's good and worth to stay.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Small room for 2 persons - While the hotel seems great for single travellers, we stayed in the long type double room and were glad we did not spend much time in the room.
The experience did not start off great - we arrived at 1pm and handed our reservation details to the 2 male receptionists. After checking their system and satisfied that we were paying guests, they handed back our information and informed us to check in at 2pm. Although puzzled by their actions to check our information but not check us in, we asked if they needed our passports for processing the check-in and was informed no. We asked if we can leave our luggage with them and come back at 2pm, and was informed that charge of JPY 500 per bag applies. So 1 of our party stayed to look after the luggage while the rest walked around to avoid crowding the small lobby.
At about 1.30pm, the 2 male receptionists deemed fit to start the check-in process and requested for our passports. The one person who stayed in the lobby had to gather everyone to obtain their passports - why could the check-in process not be completed earlier, when everyone was around?
We filled the necessary forms to complete the check-in and were under the impression that all was finally done, just pending for rooms to be ready. Only to be informed that we have to go to another building and shampoo and shower foam are not available in the room. This information could have been made known earlier. Unpleasant start to the stay.
