Kelly (5/5): - One of the beds was comfortable No staff at times is inconvenient…got locked out of room in morning when went to car for something and the key would not work when went back up to room…had to wait an hour for someone to come in. Probably wouldn’t even have mentioned it here but the staff member didn’t seem to care, there was no apology or anything. We have stayed here 4-5 times now when we come see family, this visit was disappointing.

Mary (9/5): It was a wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable beds, close to town and beautiful setting. We’ll be back - There is no breakfast, which we knew beforehand. The room was very quiet, clean with a mini fridge and microwave. Just what we needed for an overnight stay. The coffee was made (no decaf) and was in insulated carafes. It didn’t stay hot during the day/night but there was a microwave right there to warm it up a bit. But for the price of the room, coffee is a small thing.

A couple of bugs were in the room, but this is a very rustic, wooded location and they were not "scary" bugs. One was an Asian beetle (ladybug imposter) and not sure of the other. Trebor (10/5): - Check in was really easy and convenient. You can tell the property is a little older, but our room was massive. We had a gorgeous view of the river right outside our room. I wish we could've gone on a trip on the local paddle boat, but they have scheduled trip days and hours that didn't correspond with our trip. The sauna was nice and got plenty hot, makes for a specialty that you don't usually find in hotels. 10/10 would stay again. Lovely town too, and great antique stores for any downtime.

Rooms have a mini fridge and microwave as well as good coffee in the morning. River view is beautiful! Splurge and get the larger river view balcony room. Only problem 2 years in a row, we were locked out of the room after the front desk closed. They have an emergency number to call and issue was easily corrected.

Marjorie (8/5): Good value and great location - I was in town visiting family. This was a great place to stay and be close to their house. The view of the water was amazing as was the balcony room. The only downfall was for being a family type hotel, it would have been great if they had board games we could have used. They have a nice area that could be used for a Continental breakfast but only provided coffee and tea. Sometimes those little extras go a long way. Overall it was a nice experience and would stay there again.

ELIZABETH (4/5): Not A Great Value - The room was very clean. The bathroom was very small and the tub was slippery. I almost fell twice. There was no rubber mat. There was no shampoo or lotion. There was a note to let the front desk know if any was needed, but the front desk closed at 8 before I took my shower. No one warned us the front desk closed at 8. Also, when we came back from dinner, after the front desk closed, my husband's room key didn't work. Thankfully, I had mine and we were able to get into the room. I think for the $100 we paid it was not a great value. There was no breakfast. Two plusses; the restaurant across the parking lot was excellent and we could see the setting by the river is picturesque, although we did not have a river view room.
