- Stephen (10/5): - It is a functional space with everything you need. The light breakfast of cereal and toast was a nice touch.
- Stephen (10/5): - Cheap, basic, clean.
They offer a basic breakfast that i didnt expect.
Beds were comfy, showers could do with updating but it worked.
- Sharon (10/5): - Clean room good staff
- Keith (8/5): - Great value for money and a convenient location for Peterborough or Leicester. Basically an old Travelodge...

Simple, self serve breakfast included.
One of the older Travelodge properties now under new ownership - it's all fine and does the job.
- Alberta (2/5): - nothing, bed was terrible
- Lisa (8/5): - Room is clean, spacious, smelt fresh. Bathroom could do with a upgrade was still a adequate. Water pressure wasn't great. No where for eateries near the hotel. Only have petrol stations which are expensive.
- Chris (10/5): - Great value, the free breakfast is simple but adequate.
I really like the large rooms
- Bernard (8/5): - Nice play to just get your head down for the night. No frills breakfast continental ok. Value for money!
- Chris (8/5): - WiFi good enough to do Teams meeting
- Chris (8/5): - Great zeds.
- Juliette (8/5): - Nice spacious room with a comfortable bed although not keen on the pillows. Clean. Tv has no remote control which was delivered when I told them the following day. A couple of critiques would be better qualify coffee making facilities in the room. And please better quality bread to toast at breakfast. Ive stayed here over many years on the week of the KC agilty festival and for those competing its a good motel if you have dogs. Staff always helpful.
- Nigel (10/5): - Looks like it was once a Travelodge so good basic facilities which have been kept clean and it includes a continental style breakfast.
- Susan (8/5): Good budget hotel - Great budget hotel. Staff very helpful when we asked to change to a ground floor room. Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfy. Bathroom clean

- Stephen (8/5): - Nice view from window in morning handy stopover on main road. Clean enough but hot stay as no air con but better second night as had a fan. Breakfast basic but does the job parking easy garage opposite expensive so steer clear to break journey up ideal at good price
- Chris (10/5): - Jolly good stay, excellent toast for breakfast
- Chris (10/5): - I like it here, always nipping clean - I’ve stayed several times and will again.
Nice sized rooms. TV& WIFI are good enough.
The breakfast is just right, if you just want a quick efficient launch for your day
- Djamal (8/5): I am happy to go back again. - We are happy and enjoy to stay in this hotel. one thing that should be noticed about the odour of the corridor. It should be sprayed with (put the plug of) air freshener to make it fresh along the corridor.
We paid with the very good price compare the similar hotel near the area where we stayed.
- Chris (10/5): - Nice and clean, great shower very reasonable price
- Anne (8/5): - Everything was fine. The bathroom could do with modernising but overall very good value for money
- Patrick (4/5): - Staff very helpful, however, the property seems to be used by people with housing issues.
Will not be returning.
- josh (8/5): - Was what I expected
- EMILIS (8/5): - Nothing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel room was very basic but clean and comfortable. Ideal for our one night stay. Breakfast wasn’t good. With an hour before it ended there wasn’t anything available I had to ask for assistance.
- Chris (10/5): - Does what it says on the tin
- Chris (8/5): - Great value for money.
Nice and clean
Basic breakfast but for the price excellent!
Bathroom good, plenty of hot water in the shower.
Good size room.
Pleasant people on the desk

- kevin (8/5): - Easy to park, quiet location, convenient and nice big rooms.
- Patricia (8/5): Good value basic accomomofation - Good value accomodation.
Easy parking
Sanitary ware a bit old but functions well.
The inclusive snack breakfast included was better than I expected.
Quality bed linen ,
Rear rooms very quiet .
- Amanda (10/5): Great stay - This trip was because our new rental property wasnt ready so stayed one night because of that . Good stay and enjoyed breakfast continental style in the morning which was good
- Neil (10/5): - Nice spacious room. Excellent continental breakfast.
- R (10/5): Excellent and friendly - For the cost, nothing to complain about excellent value
- Andy (8/5): - Room was clean and warm. Basic breakfast facilities, which I did not participate. Bed comfortable . Tv not good limited channels.
- Susan (8/5): Basic - For a budget hotel not too bad managed to turn the heating up as it wasn’t on and really needed it. Not much hot water either so a quick shower it was. Breakfast was held in the lobby no separate dining area and basic no cooked food
- kevin (10/5): - It was all good. Quiet and comfortable. Easy parking. Room was big and clean.
Great service.
- Paul (8/5): Stop over hotel - Nice basic hotel...very clean, quite dated but functional for a nights stay, staff were lovely and dogs were allowed which was a bonus.
- Lee (8/5): - Great stay good staff and check in will return
- abbie (8/5): - Great staff. Very friendly. Unfortunately we did have one dirty bed but they did offer a new room which I couldn’t take due to my little one falling asleep on the clean bed so I took a clean sheet for the room instead. They were apologetic
- Richard (6/5): - Clean room but very cold heating switched off and no hot water , comfy bed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Booked into hotel, room hadnt been cleaned feom previous guests, reported to reception whom came to view. No apologies, just stated I will be moved, was moved to another room. Second room was cleaner but not to the standard expected of a hotel.
Staff were not friendly, breakfast was opposite reception, nobody said morning, just walked past
- Boyd (8/5): Basic accommodation but good value - Very good value for money
- Chris (8/5): - Nice big room.
Very clean
Friendly helpful staff
Convenient breakfast.
Hope they continue the room refurbishing to continue improving the facilities
- Gregory (6/5): - Middle of nowhere
- Stephen (10/5): - Easy check in reception staff were excellent asked about places to eat and they were very helpful with plenty of information were I could go the free breakfast was really good would definitely stay again and recommend to people also a great price
- paul (8/5): - A reasonably priced option for a clean & tidy stay
- Helena (10/5): - Great price for a good nights sleep in a clean, warm room- and breakfast included. Always a pleasure to stay there
- Verified traveler (8/5): Provides exactly what it advertises - Redwings is a good, clean, serviced travel lodge that provides exactly what it advertises, including free parking & continental breakfast. It's excellent value, I'd stay again en route.
- Reza (10/5): Perfect - Perfect for a short stop over
- Hans (10/5): Good, restful, on price - Good rest, out of the way, nice toast and coffee in the morning and yoghurt, worth it.
- Carrie (6/5): - Couldnt sit and eat breakfast as there was only 3 tables for hundreds of guests also the locks didnt work in my room and had to change rooms for my safety. But the staff were really nice and friendly
- Chris (6/5): - Redwings is great value for money.
It’s clean and everything works - the shower is great.
The breakfast is a okay - adequate but not great.
Effort has been made to maintain the room, new carpet and surfaces.
But, it felt a tiny bit damp might just be the early autumn, what I was unhappy with is the security particularly the windows given I had a downstairs room, I wouldn’t leave the windows open while sleeping.
I was really unhappy on arrival to walk through a fog of cannabis smoke.
I would not bring my wife here, but it’s ok for me.
The best thing is the big room
- James (4/5): - Budget hotel that is not very well looked after
- Paul (8/5): - Good location..comfortable rooms.
- Andrew (4/5): - I didn’t like the staff sitting outside on the wall smoking and smoking Vapes when we arrived at the accommodation, there was no water and there was no water the following morning bearing in mind we had a wedding to go to!! It was all pretty stressful
- Peter (2/5): - After checking in we went to the room, there was cold water but no hot, eventually after the few minutes we had no water. We went out and on our return later in the evening and throughout the night we had no water at all . Flushing the toilet was out of the question. We left the property without being able to have a shower or even a drink. No management around but were given a number to phone on Monday. Hygiene out of the question!!!!!! Other guests wanted a refund like us so we will wait and see next week.
- Claire (8/5): - Perfect location for what we needed. Easy to find. Great Indian restaurant next door. Property had what we needed and a simple continental breakfast. Would stay again if in the area.
- Brenda (2/5): - This hotel was filthy
Carpet was so sticky I had to wear flip flops
The shower was full of mould on the tiles & shower curtain
Very old dirty tiles in the bathroom the toilet had hair on it as did the sink
The room itself just had a awful damp smell which made me feel sick
The bed was so uncomfortable I woke up 4 times to move about in the bed
I sat on the settee/sofa bed and nearly fell to the floor as it had a huge dip in it that really is unsafe to use had I been more older it could of been a different story
The cup in the room had lipstick on and generally spoil it my weekend away
I await your reply
- Denzil (6/5): Basic but adequate hotel - A very basic hotel with adequate resources. Appears to be a converted travel lodge.
The shower was hot and there is good space in the family room, the TV workef ok.
Bed very uncomfortable.
They charge £10 for the dog.
£55 per night . No parking charge. Basic breakfast of toast and cereal.
- David (10/5): - Convenient for us, comfortable and clean with helpful staff. There was a nice footpath across fields to walk our dog within 100m of the hotel.
- Rachel (8/5): - Excellent value for money. Great budget hotel, so don't expect a 5 star hotel. Staff welcoming and friendly. Basic continental breakfast, simple but adequate. Room clean, bedding pristine. Can not fault for the price I paid - stayed 3 nights. Would recommend.
- Frances (6/5): - Cheap and cheerful!! Yes this place is tired and in need of a refurb but if you just need a basic bed for the night and can look beyond this £40 for a night for me and my son including a basic breakfast was an absolute bargain! Happy I took a punt! Reception staff friendly and helpful can’t say fairer than that!
- Derek (2/5): - Staff were ok
Hotel was very scruffy needs a revamping
Limited food service
My room had a crack sink
Not the best I have stayed in
- Trudy (8/5): - We only stayed one night but the bedroom was clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. The free breakfast was adequate but unfortunately the area around reception was quite small. We managed our breakfast sitting on the sofa no problem. Very reasonably priced and we will return sometime in the future. Staff very friendly. Thanks.
- Julia (6/5): - No one emptied my bin or cleaned my sink during my 3 night stay.
Slight odour to place but ok.
Breakfast very basic so wouldn't cater for dietary requirements
- graham (2/5): - rubbish experience
- Peter (6/5): - The propertu is in a poor state it realky needs a full renovation tiles off the walks in the bathroom and sofa rock hard and ot very good condition.
- Paul (6/5): - Room fittings are old and worn, bath too small.Continental breakfast was a poor copy of e real one. Staff were great.
- Christopher (10/5): Value for Money - Excellent style Motel room - ex-Travelodge but the staff were friendlier :)
- Verified traveler (2/5): My daughter’s had to travel back without showering - This was a weekend 2 night stay with my daughters, a teenager and a toddler. On our final morning there was no hot water and I reported this to the reception (I believe her name was Lisa), she came into the room while my girls were asleep to try the water and told me if I ran the water long enough it would warm up. It never did but we had a train to catch after a weekend wedding in Oakham with my girls needing also to get back to school.
When I went back to reception to report that I had had a cold shower but could not have my girls do the same especially the little one I was told that they would get the maintenance man to look at it but Lisa first went to the room next to ours which was vacant to try the water to see if it was hot so that my girls could have a quick shower next door before we left but the water was not hot! There were other guests quite a few doors from ours that had stayed over also for the same wedding and I asked them as they had breakfast if they managed to have a shower to which they said yes their water was hot.
Because we had a train to catch back to London and needed to check out I decided that the girls would have to leave without showering. I left my details at reception so that Lisa would pass on my complaint to the Manager. She promised to send me an email later on that day (Monday). On Tuesday I called the Lodge to chase up and had to wait for a callback saying nothing more could be done.
Very poor service and handling overall!
- julia (10/5): - Great location, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast for value
- Francis (10/5): - Excellent value and friendly staff
- Joie (8/5): - Staff were very welcoming . Very popular venue the place was busy even on a Monday . Good value functional hotel .
- avril (8/5): - HELPFUL STAFF COMFORTABLE ROOMS GENEROUS COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST
- Victoria (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff, a good selection of continental breakfast as well.
- Jo (6/5): - Receptionist helpful . Accommodation dated and needs TLC , however for the price it fitted the bill perfectly . Indian next door was great and sensible money for a meal. I think for the value and you need a base and somewhere to get your head down then it's fulfills that need perfectly. Just something to note . If you have any canine allergies then any room may have been occupied by our canine friends , my husband is allergic and had a reaction immediately when we entered the room . Just something to consider .
- John (8/5): - Very comfortable. Quiet even though popular road near by.
- Tonia (10/5): - Facilities were good and clean for price. Staff friendly and helpful.
Only issue was getting hot water/ shower to work which was resolved by staff.
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - Pleasant staff, comfortable bed, really good for price. Could have bigger eating area and some new shower curtain poles, ours was rusty but done us for night
Thanks
- Stevie (10/5): - Convenient stay for visiting Rutland Water .
Basic but everything we needed for one night .
- Vincent (6/5): A reasonable place to stay for digs. - It's a budget hotel, so you wouldn't stay there for, say, a romantic vacation whilst sight seeing in the area, but if you (as I did) l, just need somewhere to stay whilst working away that's relatively cheap then it can't be faulted.
Breakfast is basic but that's clear from the hotel information.
Rooms are reasonable and functional, pretty quiet overnight, staff are pleasant.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Basic room but spotlessly clean , decent facilities and friendly staff . Bonus of a free breakfast too , could not fault it for the price .
Would return .
- Jason (10/5): - Pretty basic motel.
Rooms clean and tidy.
Bed linen and towels all fresh.
Staff polite and friendly.
Wasn’t expecting anything more.
- Carl (10/5): - Helful friendly staff love the buffet breakfast
- William (6/5): - This is very basic and quite dated accommodation, but it does the basic job. It is quiet, has good hot water and shower, the bed was okay and the room was warm. As an example, the lights flicker when they come on in the bathroom and they are fluorescent, but they work perfectly well. The room had good towels and shampoo/soap, and basic coffee/tea making facilities, but no other facilities such as hair dryer. The price is fair for basic accommodation and the countryside around is attractive and worth visiting, although the immediate location is a roadside service area.
- Dorulet (10/5): - Ok
- Mary (10/5): - Breakfast was good
- Max (8/5): Comfortable, easy to park and very friendly staff - A clean hotel with spacious rooms and a comfortable bed, add that to easy parking and its the ideal contractors stop over.
The staff are all very friendly and always around. The breakfast has been worked out to be a quick easy help yourself start to the day, with enough choice to be as good as a cooked breakfast without the wait.
Will be staying here again
- Teresa (8/5): - It is good value for its price, better than well known competitors in the area. There were a few minor probs the staff were really polite and professional in putting things right.
- martin (10/5): - 2 night business stay
- Suzanne (10/5): - Staff very helpful and polite
- kevin (8/5): - Nice location, quiet, helpful staff.
Didnt find any problems.
- Phil (10/5): Better extras than a travelodge - Seems to be an old travelodge building/business that has been taken over. This said it is being run a lot better than travelodge do with great little extras.
- Julia (6/5): - Redwings is a cheap budget hotel on the edge of the Village of Mocott off the A47. It looks like an X travelodge.
Parking is convenient immediately outside. The rooms are a little tired with basic amenities. TV was working OK. The shower was hot and powerful. The WiFI only works in the centre of the hotel and drops out in the far rooms. Electric wall heater bearly adequate on the frosty nights. Breakfast is provided in the price but is fairly basic. For around £40 per night you cannot get much cheaper.
- Heather (10/5): Good stopover - If you only want a bed, shower and light breakfast without paying for stuff your not going to use, then this is the place. No frills, nice staff, outdoor seating. Very pleasant.
