Guest Reviews
- Anna (8/5): Peaceful and great location - Perfect location for our walking trips. Shops and restaurants nearby. All equipment and facilities provided. Clean and quiet place. Wonderful and helpful staff.
- Angela (10/5): A little peace of heaven - Very peaceful and tranquil Nothing. 2nd time returning and already planning our next trip
- Jonathan (10/5): Beautifully decorated with gorgeous views... A truly special home from home in Lanzarote - We stayed in Raquel and it was beautiful! From the crockery to the antiques, to the wall decorations, everything was decorated with such thought and care. It felt like a really special home. There was so much space, perfect for our family of 4. The master bed was huge and very comfy. The kitchen was really well equipped and the pool area was lovely in the sunshine. The views from the house were stunning... Overlooking the white washed houses in Uga, flanked by the mountains. We were very lucky to find somewhere so unique and characterful. We loved our stay and hope return. The hot water was inconsistent.
It would have been helpful if pool/beach towels were provided as standard.
A pair of tongs would have been helpful for the bbq.
We were there when it rained and there were some areas that got wet. The ledge by the window in the downstairs bedroom became wet and so did the area by the window in the master bedroom. The walls seemed to have wet patches on them too.
- Samantha (9/5): Rekaxing peaceful stay in a beautiful property. - Beautiful property on the edge of wine country. Peaceful, away from the huddle and bustle. You need a car to get about and see the island but that was our plan so location perfect for us. We lived the rustic hippy vibes and views from the pool area. Only thing that wasn’t perfect was the temp the pool- it’s not freezing, but it’s not warm. I am a swimmer so once I was in it was fine but it was not warm enough just to laze around in. I would very happily stay here again but would not want to bring my elderly relatives or young children simply because if the temp of the pool.

- Karen (9/5): Peaceful, charming oasis, perfect for yoga and massages away from the hubbub - Located away from the large resorts, this small hotel is perfect for a quiet break and to make the most of the yoga classes and massage. We had massages with Ruben - the best treatment both of us have ever had. Recommend a car to visit the island. Hotel met our expectations, quirky, homey and quiet. It feels like you are staying in someone’s home but if you’re wanting new decor/modern surroundings this isn’t for you
- Nanako (10/5): I stated three nights and I’m so happy. I was a solo traveler. - The room was clean and cosy. Staff were nice and friendly. The location was quiet.
- Enora (10/5): -
- Dr Catriona (7/5): -
- Evgeniya (10/5): Love it - Everything is as on the photos: cosy place with its own charm and attention to the details. Rooms are clean, well maintained and kitchen well equipped for basic tourist needs.
It’s the place you go and say - oh, look, this is cool!
The pool looks nice, we’ve tried to swim, but it was freezingly cold, so for brave souls. But still good for sunbathing.
The owner / keeper is very nice and helpful.
A huge plus for us of this place was its cosiness, and absence of big groups of tourists.
- Jörg (10/5): -
- Maria Chiara (10/5): Amazing stay - We had an amazing stay at Casa El Morro. The structure is an historic 200-year-old home, full of character and in great shape. Also the interior of our room was decorated with stylish furniture, and it was bigger than our expectations. The host Rachel was very attentive to our needs and lovely.
- Fatin (6/5): - The location and architecture. We stayed for a week and mentioned to them the day they were going to clean that there was a mouse in our room but they didn’t clean the mouse poo from the kitchen so we weren’t able to use it. You are expected to clean before you leave (or you get charged extra) but we had to buy a sponge to wash dishes. The toilet doesn’t really work, the water kept running and sometimes it didn’t flush. The bed is two single mattresses put together and not very comfortable. The shower was sometimes cold in the morning and the water pressure isn’t good.
- simon (7/5): -
- Louise (10/5): Great place to stay - Beautifully kept - So much thought put in to make it feel like home.
Spacious - lots of different comfortable seating areas inside and out.
Fantastic pool area and gardens.
Close to the wine area and a short walk into town. Nothing - it was all good
- Agnes (10/5): -
- Olga (9/5): -
- Angela (10/5): Tranquila - Loved Casa El Morro would have loved to stay longer very relaxing, a place to switch off and chill. Nothing, looking forward to my next stay. Thank you Laura
- Pablo (8/5): -
On s’y sent tellement bien !!
Rien
- Ramon (9/5): Hem estat al paradís - L’espai, piscina, tranquil·litat.
- Thomas (9/5): Amazing staff very friendly beautiful well kept location very piecefull would highly recommend - The swimming pool aria was beautiful .. and the villa was really nice to No balcony but other apartments did so you could just ask for one when booking maybe
- Aurelie (10/5): The place to be ! - Quel endroit merveilleux ! On a kiffé ! ^^
- Alberto (10/5): -
- Roelof (9/5): Cosy, quiet and relaxed. A beautiful place - It was very quiet, even when a road was nearby. The bed was excellent, and the views breath-taking
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Phil (9/5): Wonderful would go again in a heartbeat 💗 - It's a unique property, quirky , homely, very relaxing and comfortable. Excellent 5G mobile connection and WiFi all over the site. Laura was lovely, really helpful and friendly. The pool area was great too, perfect to wind down and take in the Canarian atmosphere. Nothing
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Very nice location and the yurt was a nice surprise with all the comfort you need. The relaxing beds at the pool were also very nice. Would definitely recommend! Water pressure was low and we had no WiFi in the yurt.
- Tarek (10/5): Wonderful, peaceful place to stay - Really lovely staff that were there to help, but also happy to let you just relax and enjoy your time there. Beautiful building to stay in, enjoyed the pool and staff kindly facilitated some vegan breakfast for my partner. Thank you! Not much to say here. We're not drivers so it was a little distant (approximately 10 mins) from the nearest bus stop and shops, but wan't really that much of a problem for us.
- Jill (10/5): Thoroughly relaxing and keen to return - Foremost, it’s a world away from the tourist hubs and resorts I detest. This is a beautiful, tranquil traditional accommodation. Gorgeous setting. 20 minutes from airport. Handy for trips to the local wineries. Quirky boho decor. Lovely gardens. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very little. Perhaps a small welcome basket of essentials would be helpful if arriving late to rural location. Other than that pretty perfect really for some winter sun and relaxation.
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional - The property was very peaceful, and the room in particular was tucked away and very quiet. The photos didn't do iit justice it was amazing.
The pool was lovely, and the times we used it, we were the only people in it.
Breakfast was varied, plentiful, with great bread and jams.
Overall, it was a very relaxing break, which was what we needed. We still managed to travel to most parts of the island to various attractions such as Jameos de agua and different beaches.
- Jamiee (7/5): Cute quirky wholesome green oasis - Quirky green oasis in Uga close to the nice town of Yaiza. The whole hotel is unique with lots of artefacts and furniture from Morocco and east Asia. Beautiful gardens and pool area which is semi heated. We stayed in the 2 storey 2 bedroom villa and had amazing terraces and views over the valley. The massages were amazing and breakfast was ok although too late for us at 8:30 when you want to get out and beat the heat. I would definitely recommend just note the things that we didn’t like but it’s not enough to not come back and stay here again we definitely would. There are cats everywhere so all the lovely places to sit outside are full of cat hair and we had cats coming into our apartment. Note that there is a small farm opposite with cockerels who start very early in the morning. The beds are very creaky and the rooms are dark but it didn’t bother us as we used the terrace mostly. We booked this place because it seemed like they host yoga 4 times a week but in reality there needs to be more than 2 guests or people who want the class. Breakfast is cute but a little chaotic with everyone trying to gather around one table. Lastly the plumbing in our place wasn’t great toilets struggled to flush and the shower drain didn’t drain well. If you emptied the bath the water would come up in the shower which was a bit disguising. Maybe to be expected on the island and an old house ?
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful place full of energy 1. Breakfasts
2. Covered swimming pool
- Hayley (10/5): Beautiful place with relaxed vibe - Loved staying here, all the rooms have their own places to sit and read or just watch the world go by. Loved the breakfasts, I never normally eat breakfast but woke up excited to eat with the most amazing yoghurt and choices. Loved the pool area which at lots of times I had to myself.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - -Lovely room- so nicely decorated with a comfortable bed
- Swimming pool area is very nice, the pool is heated and you can chill and relax in various lounge beds
-Breakfast is served in two shifts in the morning so you can choose yourself if you want to be an early bird or prefer to sleep a bit longer. We especially enjoyed the homemade cakes and jam.
-We enjoyed a private yoga class which was very nice and relaxing
Overall we had a lovely stay here and we can warmly recommend this place to others.
- Larisa (9/5): Peace and quiet - This is what relaxing holiday is all about. Peace, quiet and quite close to all main attractions on the island. We really enjoyed our stay here and hostess Laura was very nice, kind and friendly. She was answering all the questions we had and she had solved the problem we had the first night in our room.
When we were booking the room we didn't really imagined what we will get, and it was the stunning view from the bed.
The swimming pool is heated and it can be used at all times as long as you cover it after use so it can stay nice temperature.
It is good choice if you are travelling with kids. That we had to go.
- Stephanie (8/5): Enjoyable peaceful stay in lovely accommodation - The peaceful location and yoga classes Nothing it was really nice
- María (6/5): Pleasant - Good location. The facilities were nice. The bed was not comfortable. I took some time for the water to warm up in the morning. There was a rooster that woke us up every day around 6
- Bram (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful and relaxing place. We really liked the aljibe setting and the pool area.
- Susan (9/5): The whole environment was designed for relaxation and comfort. Laura was super friendly and accommodating. We’d definite - We loved the style .. from the fabrics to the wood carvings, day beds and gorgeously tiled bathroom.. we felt very comfortable and relaxed there as soon as we arrived. I can’t think of anything
- Ruth (9/5): A beautiful place to relax and a great base from which to explore the island - Beautiful rooms, very thoughtfully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Stunning location, great pool and helpful staff. Breakfast was simple but delicious.
- Steven (9/5): Peaceful escape - Lovely pool slightly heated. Nice loungers around it.
The yurt was amazing, really big.
The kitchen and bathroom were good.
Able to go on hikes from the accommodation.
Nice gardens.
Very relaxing and quiet.

- Clare (9/5): A beautiful place, friendly people , I loved it -
- Janne (10/5): Exceptional -

- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): Amazing place to stay in beautiful part of Lanzarote. - We like everything.
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Damaris (8/5): Peaceful relaxing, needs more attention to detail. - Beautiful setting in mountains. The decor is what is promised. No running water in the swimming pool wc. Plain sheets should be provided in 30 +degree heat and extra fan if needed.
- Bronwen (10/5): Rural gem - Characterful accommodation. Lovely pool. Friendly helpful staff. Nothing
- Samantha (10/5): If you’re looking for stillness and beauty nestled in the midst of the lanzarote vineyards, this is your place - This was our second stay at Casa El Morro. We usually never return to the same place twice, however this place is the exception to our rule. The minute we stepped foot back into the beautiful grounds, we knew we’d made the right decision - instant decompression. The peace, tranquility and stillness of Casa el Morro captured out hearts once again.
We stayed in the yurt this time, what a magical tardis they have created here. Beautifully decorated in bold colours, waking up every morning felt dreamlike. We even watched the moon setting from our bed one very early morning! The yurt is set in its own private grounds, with a little kitchen diner, magnificent bathroom and a shaded area to kick back in.
The pool area is stunning with plenty of day beds to get stuck into a good book, or close your eyes and listen to the breeze fluttering through the palms the beautiful garden. Spotting a theme here?
We did little exploration, as this holiday was all about stopping and just being - a break from our hectic lives. It goes without saying that we did manage to get ourselves up to the local vineyards to sample their delights, and ate our fare share of tasty offerings in the sleepy little village of Uga Nothing, everything was perfect
- Michael (9/5): Chilled Bali style rooms with great pool and breakfast - Very peaceful and tasteful hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Room was really well decorated, and very homely. Breakfast was simple and rustic but perfect, delicious home made treats. Pool area was very quiet, often had it to ourselves, and great views. Would recommend, great location for exploring all of Lanzarote and away from windy beaches
- Nicholas (9/5): delightful - Location, buildings, gardens, pool, staff, almost everything! Bottle of water in the fridge on arrival would have been appreciated
- Björn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josua (9/5): Very relaxing stay in a familiar atmosphere with friedly staff. - pool, quietness, terrace of the cottage, hammock, yoga and massage breakfast area a bit small
- Bas (8/5): Very good - Small, quiet Gluten free options at breakfast limited
- Anonymous (10/5): peaceful! - chilled, no pressure arriving late and nowhere open to eat - a small welcome pack as an optional added cost would be great
- Charn (10/5): A truly unique and relaxed apartment complex in a stunning location - highly recommend! - Such a beautiful complex of apartments in a stunning and relaxed setting - what a find! A truly unique place. Both the cottage (we stayed in the 2 bedroom unit) and grounds were great and had such a lovely energy about it all. We loved the pool area with beds, and having our own patio. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind and as another guest reviewed, the whole place really does have a chilled and yoga vibe, which is exactly what we needed. The yoga classes were also amazing (highly recommend) along with all of the friendly staff.
Also, we are vegan and they kindly provided soya milk so we could also have the breakfast, which was lovely, and a great plus when staying in a self contained unit.
Our cottage was also cleaned half way through our trip which was very kind.
Check in/out was simple and communication was great.
We would highly recommend to anyone, and I’m sure we will all be returning :) We liked it all :)
- Chris (8/5): Very good -

- Sorina (9/5): Beautiful property - Fantastic property in a great, somewhat secluded and very peaceful location. I could have spent an entire day on the terrace, garden or by the pool. The view is quite unique. Rich breakfast and really attentive and helpful staff. We had some small issues and they were prompt in solving them. Soft and squeaky beds. The rooms needed airing but as there are no nets at the windows we got mosquitos in. We did get bed nets provided for the kids when asked, but we felt that one needs to compromise between a hot room or more mosquitoes if windows open, so we didn't sleep that comfortably. TV didn't work properly (was replaced in the 3rd day) and wifi coverage sketchy in our room.
