The room was very spacious and clean, with big windows and lots of sunlight, and a big & comfy bed. The staff was very friendly, and we also enjoyed the little breakfast buffet in the morning.

- Miriam (8/5): Tolles Hotel! - Wirklich schönes Hotel, tolle Lage, toller Pool und schöner Ausblick. Der kostenlose Parkplatz war super, das Frühstück lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat auf Wunsch super Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants gegeben Was wirklich zu verbessern ist: - Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig, ok. Die Haustüre ist sehr schwer. Ab 7h morgens kommen/verlassen Personen das Haus, sodass jedes Mal die Haustüre mit einem riesen Krach zufällt. Insbesondere wenn man ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss hat, ist man jedes Mal hellwach. Eine andere Lösung wäre, dass man die Tür einfach per Hand schließt;) - Aus dem Wasserhahn in unserem Zimmer (12 Apostel) kam nur eiskaltes und sehr wenig Wasser Was verbessert werden könnte: - eine Dusche am Pool. Auch aus hygienischen Gründen sollte man sich vor Nutzung des Pools abduschen können
- Henry (9/5): Sehr gut gelegenes modernes Hotel mit sehr hilfsbereiten Personal - Tolle Lage am Hang über Camps Bay, große Terrasse mit unverbautem Blick in den Sonnenuntergang. Sehr bemühtes zuvorkommendes Personal Bei 42° an 2 Tagen fiel wiederholt die Klimaanlage aus, teils auch wegen allgemeiner Überlastung der Elektrizität. Das Hotel war um schnellstmögliche Reparatur bemüht, was technisch bedingt nicht immer langfristig gelang. Das Hotel hat als Entschädigung 2 Nächte erstattet, was sehr anständig ist!!

- Helena (8/5): Schönes Boutique Hotel in Camps Bay - Super Lage in Camps Bay, große Zimmer und schönes Bad. Der Poolbereich ist gemütlich, Pool ist wie gewohnt in SA sehr kalt aber angenehm und sauber. Das Frühstück war wirklich gut! Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Leider nicht soooo sauber, dickes Haarbüschel in der Zimmerecke und ein benutztes Pflaster lag auf dem Balkon bei unserer Ankunft. Auch das Sofa im Zimmer war stark abgenutzt und fleckig. Wir haben sehr spontan gebucht, daher war nur noch das Lions Head Zimmer frei. Entgegen vieler anderer Bewertungen fand ich die Straße überhaupt nicht laut, allerdings ist das Zimmer direkt neben der Eingangstür zum Haus, die innen über keine Klinke verfügt und daher super laut zugeknallt werden muss, damit sie schließt. Nachts, wenn andere Gäste nachhause kommen oder morgens früh auf Ausflüge gehen, wird man sofort wach. Abgesehen davon, dass ich es ein erhebliches Sicherheitsrisiko finde, dass man die Haustür als Fluchtweg auch von innen nur mit einem Schlüssel öffnen kann...

Das Bett im Apostel Zimmer war etwas hart (hier würde ein Topper helfen). Im Bad fehlt es vielleicht etwas an Abstellmöglichkeit und wenn man sein Handy laden möchte muss man die Steckdose unter dem Nachtisch suchen. Ansonsten ist das Zimmer prima alles wie beschrieben.

- Paola (10/5): Unvergesslicher schöner Aufenthalt, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder - Wir hatten einen phantastischen Aufenthalt im Sovn Boutique Hotel, obwohl wir das kleinste Zimmer unten im Keller neben dem Frühstücksraum hatten (morgens etwas laut). Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht und insbesondere Ciska hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns in Camps Bay sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Sie uns tolle Restaurants gebucht und war mit vielen Tips sehr behilflich, vielen Dank nochmals dafür!! Der Pool und die gemütlichen Liegen waren toll und das Hotel liegt fussläufig zum Strand! Lautstärke morgens neben dem Zimmer und der sehr laute Wind in der Nacht (zum Glück nur am letzten Abend)
- Monja Christin (6/5): Auf den ersten Blick schöne Unterkunft, aber sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - eher ein guest house mit schöne - Schöne, stylische Unterkunft direkt in camps bay - frühstück ok, aber nicht herausragend. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer mit Meerblick war super. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Straße - für unsere suites hatten wir 450€ pro Zimmer pro Nacht gezahlt. Trotz Fenstern war die Straße sehr laut - für 450€ die Nacht sollte man eine bessere Dämmung erwarten können. Generell war es im Haus sehr stickig

Приветливый и отзывчивый персонал, всегда на связи с тобой в мессенджерах Протекал кондиционер, заменили на переносной. Это уже не первый отель, в котором случаются проблемы с кондиционером, вне зависимости от стоимости и звездности отеля. По всей видимости, это какая-то повальная проблема у всех.
- Hartmut (9/5): Kommen gerne wieder! - Tolle Lage am oberen Siedlungsrand von Camps Bay unterhalb des Tafelbergs. Unweit zur Cable Car (Table Mountain) und zum Wanderweg auf den Lions Head. Frühstück wird erst ab 8.30h serviert. Da wir einige Touren gebucht hatten (Cape Point, Stellenbosch, etc.) und wir schon zwischen 7.30h - 8.15h vom Hotel abgeholt wurden, viel das für uns an 4 von 5 Tagen leider aus. Das Personal hatte dennoch einen kleinen Snack improvisiert können.

- laurie (8/5): Peaceful spot to enjoy Camps Bay. - Good location up the hill from Camps Bay beach. Just 15 mins or so to walk down. Nice pool area. Very friendly and attentive staff. Delicious breakfast, spacious room with big windows. Surrounded by greenery. Parking on site Our room was very close to a busy road so there was traffic noise. Other rooms were better placed looking across the pool to the water. But that was the room we booked so my fault!

- Liza (9/5): Schöne renovierte Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Ausblick. - Wir hatten das Penthouse mit Meerblick, welches uns eine traumhafte Aussicht auf Camps Bay geboten hat. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. In Camps Bay ist es häufig sehr windig, welches in der Nacht dazu führt, dass die Fenster wackeln und der Wind sehr laut gegen pfeift. Es war alles frisch renoviert, ein paar Details wie ein Toilettenpapierhalter im Bad, haben noch gefehlt.

- Dennis (1/5): Katastrophe - Leider nichts Eindringliche Warnung. Achtung – irreführendes Verhalten des Hotel, sowas haben wir in 15 Jahren noch nie erlebt. Wir hatten das Sovn Boutique Hotel für den Zeitraum 22. bis 27. Oktober 2025 gebucht. Vor Ort stellte sich heraus, dass sich das Badezimmerfenster nicht schließen ließ und unser Gepäck frei zugänglich war. ( Das ganze wirkt wie eine riesige Baustelle vor Ort) Uns wurde daraufhin von der Hotelleitung zugesichert, dass wir stornieren dürfen und eine Rückerstattung erhalten. Diese wurde bis heute nicht ausgezahlt, und auf unsere E-Mails kam Tage keine Reaktion, bis wir erneut hingefahren sind und gefragt haben. Später schrieb das Hotel, es seien uns angeblich Upgrades und alternative Zimmer angeboten worden – das ist schlichtweg falsch. Solche Angebote gab es zu keinem Zeitpunkt. Wir waren zu zweit vor Ort und können das eindeutig bezeugen. Sehr enttäuschend, wie hier im Nachhinein versucht wird, falsche Informationen zu verbreiten, statt Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Wer hier bucht, sollte vorsichtig sein. Das ganze geht jetzt leider zu Booking um es klären zu lassen.

- Tammy (8/5): Delightful stay thanks to Masi & Charne. - Following a major renovation the finishing touches are frantically underway. Masi (the GM) certainly has the passion & determination to get everything tip top. A lovely welcome by Charne (the chef) who made sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed, especially after an unfortunate mix up with our room for night one. But Masi & Charne went out of their way to put everything right from day two. Everything then lived up to expectation being in the Ocean View Penthouse room as booked. Beautiful refurb with stunning views of the bay & sunsets. Charne is an absolute gem who creates such unique platters & tasty breakfasts with freshly baked goods. The Sovn certainly has the potential to be a superb boutique hotel in Camps Bay with a great location & such a dedicated team who work very hard to get everything right for their guests.
