- Cheryl (10/5): - I lived our room and the view of mirror lake and mountains. Would love to come back in the summer and use the boats.
- Kevin (10/5): - Great setting and perfect location.
- SAMANTHA (8/5): - Its a great spot. Great amenities. I knew when i booked it would be village side. So be careful it could mean your window view of the villiage is a car parked up againts your window in the parkinfg lot . The lights over the bed are like spotlights so we had to keep those off and the curtain closed . I guess it would be good if i was vampire. Shower is amazing and bathroom loved it. Pool very nice. Hot tub as well. Kayaks on the beach. Nice fire tables to sit outside and havea drink. Very close to all.stores and generations restursant .
- Steve (6/5): - Overall a nice facility, one room we stayed in had a nice modern shower, another room we stayed in on the same price and spec had dated bathroom equipment. Paid a wedding price 4x above normal market, and room was right near staircase, many wedding guests weee using our hallway as dedicated loud cell phone conversation area. Asked staff about moving and Nathaniel said “wedding noise is everywhere, we can’t move you away from it,” however clearly my room was at a congregation area adjacent to lobby. Worst part was that clearly a human sewage line had failed somewhere and was dumping into the open sewer grate between the two EV charger locations in Garage B. Asked Nathaniel about the feces and associated aroma and discomfort, and Nathaniel scoffed, nothing he’d never heard that complaint before. No hospitality training it seems, as he rudely grazed over and said i could try to find charging elsehwere. If the sewer thing didn’t happen i’d be more likely to rate higher even at the crazy wedding price. Also left our dog at home because $300 for nightly pet fee on a $400 room charge that normally rents for $100 was crazy.
- Gayle (8/5): - They made a big deal out of wearing wristbands, but we never did see anybody wearing one on the premises.
Loved that we had the ability to have the air fan on for white noise
- Paul (4/5): sad - sadly the coffee pot had mold, they didnt clean our room for 2 days and our phone did not work. I would like a refund
- Dodd (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (8/5): Great location, great views, walk to everything in town. - Lake front room, great views The WiFi Internet dropped several times, and getting back on required logging back in, which was annoying.
Looks like the WiFi router and bandwidth needs upgrading.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - At Golden arrow. They actually upgraded my room. The staff was very nice. The room was perfect
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anderson (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- G. (10/5): - Located right on the beach, equipped with kayaks, sap boards etc. Very clean and well organized. Beautiful views. Great gym ! We loved it.
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (8/5): - Loved the room and location. The restaurant food was excellent. However the hostess was extremely rude. When were arrived the first time and were making our way to the bar area we were stopped and told that the bar was full and no tables were available. No let me see how long the wait would be. No let me put you on wait list. Just we are full. The next morning we went back over to attempt to get breakfast. Again bad attitude and we asked for outdoor seating. We were told only at the front on a crowded high top table. We decided that we would eat indoors. As we walked back we saw empty tables on the side veranda. We asked why we couldn’t sit there. The waiter said we could. Hostess followed us out there. I said “Here we go “ as I thought she was about to tell us we couldn’t sit there. We just sat down and we had a delicious breakfast. Our waiter was so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was perfect. Loved the restaurant. You need to retrain the hostess on her manners and lack of respect for your guests. We are there for a nice weekend and not to be treated so poorly.
- Fiona (10/5): - Always love staying here.
- Waldemar (9/5): Superb -
- Joan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (5/5): I could not wait to leave - I attended a family wedding. I was extremely disappointed we were not offered a discount for attending the wedding. Additionally, the wedding was outside. Arrangements should have been made in case of bad weather. It started to rain and several of the elderly members of the family had difficulty getting out of the rain. I am baffled as to WHY a tent was not outside in case of rain??? I've been to many weddings, I never would recommend this location for any event.
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juliet (9/5): Superb - View, friendly environment, convenient location Car park renovations on day of departure made leaving tricky, however staff helped to get bags up to taxi.
- GARY (10/5): Anniversary trip - Pretty hotel on Mirror Lake
Nice chairs with fire pits on the sand to the lake
Have kayaks to use
Staff were pleasant
Bed and pillows were great
Room location was the only disappointment but not a deal breaker
- Michael (10/5): A fantastic get away. - We arrived early. Check in wasn't until 4 pm, but we asked if we could park our car there until check in. Much to our surprise, the sweet staff told us our room was ready and we could check in. Thank you !! The fat pillows.
- Jessica (10/5): - We had a great stay! Loved the private lake access and the accessibility to all dining and shops. Will be coming back!
- Betty (10/5): - Besides the two little dogs barking outside our room at 7 am and the screaming girls in the pool area it was great. Lots of kids due to hockey and basketball but most were great.
- Anne (9/5): We had a great stay at Golden Arrow. The staff were wonderful, the location was the best. - The room layout was perfect for our needs, and the view of the lake was beautiful. The noise of the HVAC unit, and the missing fire extinguisher in the kitchen.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location and awesome views.
- Voska (9/5): Superb -
- Bonney (10/5): - Beautiful view of Mirror Lake. Love being able to walk to abundant options for dining and shopping. the outdoor lighting is enchanting in the winter.
- Nelson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): The Golden Arrow is a reasonable, comfortable resort in Lake Placid. - Year round beautiful spot on the lake. Walking distance to downtown. Generations restaurant attached and even the little Alpine Mall. Staff was very friendly.
- DAVID (10/5): - Fantastic location!! Very Clean, Staff was Fantastic!
- Paul (10/5): We will be back in the summer. - Everything was beyond expectations. Bed was so comfortable. The wood and stone work throughout the facility was extremely professional. The staff was like talking to people you knew for years. Everything was very modern. There was nothing not to like. The lake view was awesome. The parking ramps at the motel was convenient as was the walk into town seeing that they are right on the strip.
- Delia (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Bev (10/5): We had 3 beautiful days in the Winter Wonderkand that was made perfect by our stay at the Gokden Arriow - The location, the room size, the hot tub, the helpful staff… and the extra Christmas breakfast! Nothing
- Penelope (9/5): Great hotel, but bring your own pillow! - The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and the view of the lake was stunning. Having underground parking and an on-site restaurant was a bonus. The bed pillows were so high and firm that they gave all of us sore necks. I ended up stuffing a pillow case with sweaters and slept on that. The couch and chairs were plastic and not terribly comfortable.
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Cindy (10/5): Hockey trip - Our stay was great, the staff was amazing, helpful and friendly
- Yuri (9/5): Superb - Best location, great decorations for Holidays, heated pool and covered parking Bed's matresses need replacement asap
- Marko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brent (8/5): Very good -
- Janet (8/5): Great view from room! - Complimentary coffee in the room, but no tea.(not coffee drinkers). Staff said we had to pay $1 for tea, yet coffee was free. Not a good policy.
- Abdullah (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (9/5): Superb - Location
- Carol (10/5): - Rooms were nicely appointed, very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ajani (8/5): Great location, and comfortable resort - Overall the property was well maintained, we appreciated the covered free parking, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms were well maintained, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay again. We wish the breakfast was a little bit better, more options and less expensive. Also, the pool could be heated better given how cold it is outside.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Nice place
- Kacprzak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): - A well located hotel right in the middle of town and if you’re facing towards the lake, extra beautiful and very quiet. The only thing we really didn’t like was the fact that the HVAC system blew so hard with the fan that it was uncomfortable to have that kind of heat. Thankfully, we didn’t need very much, but it was overwhelming and very loud.
- Michele (10/5): - Vet nic we
- David (10/5): Lovely stay in Lake Placid - The setting and the views are amazing. It has a very pleasant lobby, however, I wish there were areas around the resort with tables and four chairs so that you could play games
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - Loved all the stone and wood work throughout. Bathrooms were beautiful, shower especially. Layout was confusing and parking garages were difficult with our truck. Pool and spa are so far away from the majority of the hotel.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Kesar (9/5): Great getaway with the girls. Great location. Plenty of parking. Great view of the lake and whiteface. Close location to - Location and lake view. Complimentary use of water bikes, canoes and paddle boats. Nothing.
- Diane (9/5): Great position and facilities - The lakeside/balcony room we opted for for a real bonus as we were treated to two spectacular sunrises. Well worth the additional cost of the room!
- Susana (10/5): - Wonderful stay!
- Andrea (10/5): - We have stayed at the Golden Arrow before, but it has been many years. We came up for an event, but decided to make a little mini vacation out of it and booked two nights here. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. The room was clean and comfortable. I love the recycling efforts very much. They included some K cups and a little Keurig, which was great for our first morning when we needed coffee right away. Our view was excellent. The layout of this hotel is very unusual and we loved it. My son took charge and figured things out quickly and then directed us where to go. 😆. We tried to eat at the Generations restaurant, but the first night they had a Private booking so we went somewhere else- and the next morning for breakfast they had a full buffet for $25 a person, but we weren’t hungry enough to go with that. But the menu did look good and we would’ve eaten there if it had worked out.
Now for the cons, I have almost nothing except that in the wall next to my husband, it must’ve been every time someone flushed or showered…It sounded like a waterfall in there. It startled us the first few times. The only other thing was kind of a weird sound in the wall behind the bed, not sure if it was somebody’s TV. So it wasn’t super quiet or insulated- but otherwise all good and the beds were very comfortable!
- Andrew (10/5): - Lovely property in amazing location.
Older property has been well maintained and updated.
Would definitely stay here again!
- Nina (9/5): Good memories! - Room had a balcony with a lovely view of Mirror Lake! When we ate or ordered take out from Generations (the restaurant attached to Golden Arrow,) the food was very good.
- Robin (10/5): We had a very relaxing stay Very nice - The hotel was located on the Main Street in town and were able to walk to everything in town Golden Arrow was located right on the lake and offered paddle boats canoes row boats at no charge There were 2 fire pits Lots of Adirondack chairs around the lake The hotel was very clean We loved are stay very much! I liked everything about the hotel
- Reshma (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (10/5): - This is our favorite place to stay in Lake Placid. Perfect location, amazing views, best staff.
- Anita (10/5): - Staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The room was spotless. The grounds were beautiful and well taken care of.
- Ruvo (8/5): Can’t beat the view from the room. - Lake front. Beautiful sunrise looking out from balcony. First time to Lake Placid and being right on Main Street made walking to shops and restaurants very convenient. Time to re carpet the stairways and hallways. Also add better lighting to same.
- Bettyann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abdulla (9/5): Relax stay - Nice Location, friendly staff, view, parking None
- Donna (8/5): Very good -
- Jay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): - Perfect and beautiful lake views
- Jennifer (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway for our anniversary. - Wonderful rooms, perfect location in town. Loved everything
- Nicholas (6/5): - Property is in a prime location and was very nice when built but is sadly in decline, beautiful oak furniture but finish ruined, bathroom door broken , shower would not shut off, toilet kept running, heat smelt, so bad had to turn off. Woman at desk didn't care. Was up sold the room and not worth the cost. Very nice location but tired.
- David (10/5): - Great view. Kayaks readily available.
- Jane (10/5): Excellent value and stunning hotel. - When we checked in, the clerk Kayla gave us a tour and and told us about different things going on in Lake Placid. She is a real gem. When she realized it was our first visit, she gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy. We also liked the nightly fire pits and got to meet alot of people from all over. This only thing we didn't like was there was no safe in the room. When we went to the pool and the fire pit, I had to bring my purse with me.
- Paulette (10/5): - We spent two lovely days at this resort. It is conveniently located for shopping and dining. They are right on Mirror Lake with kayaks paddle boards and row boats available. Peaceful and quiet place to relax while my daughter was hiking in the Daks.
- Maureen (10/5): - Beautiful setting on Mirror Lake. Friendly service.
- Karina (10/5): I feel rested and happy, quiet area, nice people, beautiful views - the hotel has a beautiful view, and a great location I would only replace the carpet but I saw that they are already working on it
- Donald (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (8/5): Very good - Great location and amenities
- Brandon (9/5): Superb - Do big Parking
- Amanda (10/5): This was my first time staying here and we come every year. I have always wanted to stay here and I’m so glad we did, I - What was there not to like? I have nothing bad to say.
- 1977 (10/5): Exceptional - I have stayed at way too many hotels that look one way online...and a totally different way in person. Golden Arrow is not one of those places! The rooms are clean. The view is AMAZING. There are plenty of available water toys like row boats, paddle boards and more! Eventhough it was fully booked, it was still so quiet! I was one the first floor and rarely heard anyone. It is in walking distance of lots of stores, dining options and the Olympic museum. The pool and 2 hot tubs are wonderful. I can't wait to go back! Parking is tight, but you won't need your car!
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (8/5): Great stay - We like Golden Arrow because it is right on Mirror Lake. The balcony room is nice because it overlooks the private beach. Main Street is right outside the main lobby. We also like Generations , the restaurant that is part of the hotel. It is an older hotel. Limited parking in the main lot. But there is underground parking.
- Adalia (8/5): - Everything was great and amazing. Safe for small kids (my two year old and 5 year old cousins absolutely LOVED it and they had life jackets that fit them perfectly). The lake was very clean as was the beach and overall property. There are many shops and restaurants that are ALL walking distance (I did not have to drive at all the entire trip). The only small issue I had was the A/C in the room was broken and instead of offering a new room or fixing it they just gave us a standing fan which I was iffy about, but I grew up in the Caribbean with no A/C, so it wasn’t a big deal to me, I just thought it was weird that they only gave us a fan instead of a different resolution… Besides that, it was an amazing stay!
- Jo (9/5): Great location, perfect - Great location, nice big rooms.
Cheap drinks at hotel bar
Great views of lake Nothing
