Guest Reviews
- Joy (10/5): - Staff was super helpful and attentive. Wonderful service! My room was comfy and cute with authentic style. The location was ideal & safe; central but tucked away. I loved my stay here! Very happy!
Only thing is if you’re a light sleeper weekends are busy in the area with neighboring restaurants and rooftops. But other than that everything was ideal. Thank you!
- Meaghan (10/5): Great for a short stay in the Medina - Riad Manissa was pretty much the perfect choice for our stay in Marrakech. We had about 3 nights, and wanted to be in the medina. The Riad is on a quiet lane in the medina, but near by to everything you want to see or go to. The price point for a double room (1 queen bed) is good, and the service from all staff is great.
From an amenity standpoint, they have a dip pool, a terrace, a breakfast area, and a small couch to sit on. We ate breakfast once, and that was it as we spent most of our time out visiting places and enjoying outside restaurants. For people who need assistance, I would request a first floor room. I didn't know they had them before I checked it.
- Eslam (10/5): Great place and hospitality especially YOUSOF thanks for everything hope to see you again a great stay in morrakeah - Great place and hospitality especially YOUSOF thanks for everything hope to see you again Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Kirsten (7/5): Good - Location was good Check in took ages, property didn’t respond to messages about how to get there
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mahaa (9/5): Good value for money in the medina - The location was amazing, the staff super helpful! Really wholesome breakfast and super spacious rooms Beds were hard and the rooms could use more light
- Alina (10/5): Exceptional - Riad was very clean ,pool was good, the staff was great and free coffee with cakes at the day time was tasty.
Thanks a lot!!!
- Guenboura (9/5): Superb - The riad was amazing and quite. The staff was friendly and eager to assist, providing plenty of information about Marrakech and its attractions. The location is easy to find and near to Main Square (this is quite important, because with the Medina of Marrakech is easy to get lost 😏). The room was good and clean. I recommend it if you want to have a quite riad and in a good location from main square and easy access to the taxi.
- Megan (10/5): Excellent hotel providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay - Excellent boutique hotel. Very well situated: close to the Souks and other attractions. It also felt very safe as the property was surrounded by security cameras and access was only granted by the concierge. The room was lovely and comfortable. Lovely decoration, good air conditioning and comfy beds. Regular towel changes. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was lovely. I would recommend Riad Manissa to anyone looking for a good value location to stay in Marrakech. I would not hesitate to stay there again. It would have been nice to have coffee available either in the room or in the lobby area.
- Juraj (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice owners and overall stay was perfect. Helpful all the time
- Alida (7/5): Lovely Riad in a good location. - Nice breakfast and a lovely roof terrace There was a bit of a smell from the ensuite
- Orla (9/5): Comfortable, well located riad. - A lovely place to stay. As a solo female traveller, I felt well looked after by Yousef, Hassam and the team.
- Kristin (8/5): Very nice stay— slightly overpriced - The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. They held our luggage for four days, which we appreciated. Clean and safe facilities. Nice location in the Medina. Having been in Morocco for a month now, I have stayed in nicer places for a better price. It definitely feels overpriced. It was also noisier than other roads.
- Martha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kayan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was incredibly nice and helpful! The room was comfortable and spacious. Included breakfast was tasty and nicely served.
- Van (10/5): I had a truly wonderful stay as a solo traveler. Youssef and Hassan were exceptional hosts—so kind, welcoming, and alway - Beautiful property
- Luisa (7/5): Good -
- Brian (9/5): An ideal Riad located in the Medina area - We would have no hesitation in returning should the need arise. The hosts were very polite, attentive and informative about what to do in Marrakech.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Neeru (10/5): Recommed the stay if you not book the room with the terrace - We had 2 room, one suit and one on the top floor with terrace. Rooms with suit was cosy but room with terrace was bad. Toilet, bad in the room with no proper door or light .. it done not mention on their website. Rate was same as suit but minus facilities.
Staff is very friendly and Riad itself is beautiful and cosy. Location is just inside of medina. Will recommend the place but avoiding the room with terrace for couple.
- Nicola (8/5): Great stay - The Riad was lovely, very clean and staff very friendly. It was difficult to find, we walked up and down the market with suitcases and it took 45 mins to an hour as maps doesn’t take you to the exact location and no one came to meet us as I’d heard they did this with other guests.
Breakfast was pretty basic but given the price of the stay, can’t really complain. Riad location is amazing. Very central to markets and once we found our feet it was good. I was worried about safety but it was completely fine and no issues at all.
- Olga (10/5): 100% Satisfied - It was our first night in Marrakesch as a couple. We were coming directly from the airport. We were greeted so nicely with a cup of tea and the guy who worked there was so calm and friendly and welcoming. He instantly made us feel comfortable and even provided us with a map and explained to us how we can best explore the city on our own. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but we stayed there on the 7th of March - please give the man a raise of pay. He truly deserves it! Such a wonderful soul!
The room was beautifully decorated and cozy. The Riad itself is small, cute and beautifully decorated with a nice rooftop area with views of the DarDar rooftop bar. The room was a bit cold (early March), even though we put the AC on 32 degrees.
- Nael.a (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iftab (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alessandra (8/5): Very good -
- Celia (9/5): Superb -
- Pietro (8/5): Very good -

- Jing (10/5): Exceptional - just inside medina, very close to place Jemaa el_Fna, Palais de la Bahia, Palais Ei-Badi. very nice staff.
- Prunty (10/5): 10/10 - Amazing place and great staff
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Staff were super friendly. Very polite and helpful.
Rooms cleaned to a high standard.
Location was excellent. Slightly noisy from the restaurant next door.
- Samantha (9/5): Comfortable - The property was very typical and clean. My friends really liked the breakfast Nothing
- Oana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Estefania (10/5): Quiet gem in the middle of the zouk - Very centrally located and yet quiet and cozy riad. The staff was lovely, friendly and welcoming from the day we arrived until the second we left! Breakfast was delicious and our room was cozy and comfortable.
- Donna (10/5): Beautiful, quiet riad in the centre of everything! - The riad is absolutely beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful!
Our room was cleaned every day and made spotless. The beds were very comfortable and there was aircon in the room too. There is always tea, coffee, and cake available in the lobby. The riad is kept nice and cool, which is great coming out of the hot Moroccan sunshine! Yusef was very kind and helpful, coming to meet us at the drop off point and took our bags for us. Gave us some do's and don'ts of the local area and set us up on the riads WhatsApp, in case we got lost or needed any help.
The riad is about 10 min walk from the main square and 2 min walk from the hussle and bussle of a street market but the riad itself is on a very quiet street and is great to relax after a long day of shopping and adventure! There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace to sit and relax on with comfortable sun loungers.
I would highly recommend this riad and will definitely stay here again as it is in a very central location and the staff were all brilliant.
- Vasco (10/5): Exceptional - The Riad is an immaculate place with charm and authenticity. The employees are very kind and interested in creating the best environment possible. They are always ready for a good conversation. The Riad is very flexible regarding food allergies. The breakfast was traditional. Overall, we had a magnificent experience.
- Suzy (9/5): Superb - Clean cozy Loud from restaurant next door
- Suzy (9/5): Superb - Loud from 10-1 am restaurant next door
- Jenna (10/5): Amazing riad and staff - Lovely and clean, our bedroom was spacious, the breakfast was delicious, it felt so peaceful and comfortable, the staff were so lovely and friendly Nothing
- Beatriz (10/5): Awesome stay in Marrakech - Beautiful property in a great location. The best thing was the service. Yusef was amazingly kind. He really took care of us very well.
- Filip (8/5): Very good - Everything was perfect
- Monjur (9/5): Superb - The location was excellent—close to El Badia, Bahia Palace, and Jema El Fnaa. The breakfast was excellent. The room size is specious The toilet was not that good. The hot water came very late, dark inside.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (9/5): Good - All and josef check in and meet us very helpful All ok
- Sam (7/5): Decent Riad! - The staff are amazing. It’s very pretty inside the Riadl and the rooftop is nice too. Decent breakfast. Poor sound isolation within the Riad and with a nearby bar.
Our AC unit didn’t heat the room, but the staff were nice about us stealing the radiator from reception.
- Nilakshi (8/5): Very good -
- Sunair (4/5): I wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money - It has a very central location just a few minutes walk from Tinsmiths square. Out of all the Riad’s we stayed at, this one served a below average breakfast.
Our flight got delayed from Fes and we reached after the entire day very tired around 12:30am.
The staff took more than 40 mins making us fill the forms and make the payment. It’s ridiculous as i had booked through Booking.com they are authorised to charge me (which my other Riad did and filled our forms too just by taking our passports). Instead, the check-in was made painfully long.
The shower area gets flooded and i was standing in 2 feet of water while showering. Didnt bother taking a shower again.
There were hair on the pillows. Makes me wonder if they cleaned the room properly..
To top it all, when we were leaving the Riad, the guys came running after us to make sure we didnt take the universal plug with us … that barely costs more than 5 MAD. And we had left it in the room already..
After reading some views online i got to know they also had a restaurant and a rooftop place. The staff never bothered telling us about it 😂
It was more expensive than my other Riad in Marrakesh. Gets noisy at the breakfast time. I wouldnt recommend it and wasn’t worth the money.
It also felt like they had converted larger rooms into smaller ones and hence didnt give a proper Riad feel.
- Gerasimos (10/5): A great experience which made us feel like home - Everything was great! The staff was super helpful and kind, giving us tips and recommendations. The riad and the room was comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was nice. Also it’s in a great location: close to the heart of the Medina but hidden in a quiet spot.
We would definitely recommend Riad Manissa. Pure warm hospitality.
- Down (7/5): Good Stay - Good location, clean, excellent staff The evening noise from the neighbouring bar. It was the only issue.
- Birol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olgu (9/5): Superb - Almist Everything, staff was kind and breakfast was good Shower didnt have curtain
- Jean (7/5): Good -
- Lomè (7/5): Atmospheric Stay with Room for Enhancements - The riad is in a great location, very central and convenient for exploring the area. What truly stood out were Hasan and Youssef at reception—they were incredibly kind, patient, and always ready to assist.
The common areas of the riad are beautifully designed, and I had booked a suite that was both spacious and stylish. The room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows.
Breakfast was sufficient but could be improved. It was a bit repetitive, with only small variations each day. The air conditioning was far from effective. Even at the maximum setting of 30 degrees, the room never warmed up properly, leaving me cold during the night. The bathroom lighting was inadequate, making it almost impossible to apply makeup or see details clearly. Additionally, the sink was partially clogged, and one morning there was no hot water at all—neither from the faucet nor the shower.
The suite lacked a full-length mirror, which is inconvenient for checking your appearance and quite disappointing for a room of this category. While the windows faced a quiet street in the medina, a few nights were disrupted by loud noise from children or young people outside. For a suite, these shortcomings significantly detracted from the overall experience.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - We especially enjoyed the friendly welcoming and the stuff! We really recommend this place if you are looking for an authenic and nice stay in Marrakech!
- Patrycja (7/5): Excellent location, great price and very friendly staff, sadly not for us next time. - We liked the downstairs breakfast area and sun roof, they were both very pretty, reception staff were lovely and incredibly helpful.
Location was fantastic, so close to the central square and a walking distance to pretty much everything within the medina (we can walk a few miles comfortably so judge this yourself)
Comfortable beds in the room, partner is very tall and he fit comfortably. We did pick this Riad based on Breakfast reviews but the breakfast wasn't that good. It did alternate - mostly it was tea/coffee, piece of cake (lemon or almond), variety of breads, very small omelette or small scrambled eggs, and sometimes a yoghurt or fruit. Wish there was a little more protein or something else local included - maybe a cheese or almond & argan spread?
We'd have breakfast, leave the hotel and eat something else out pretty much everyday.
Sadly we could hear everything going on in the Riad and everyone could hear us - I think it's just the style of building.
Very dark in the room and bathroom, difficult to get ready - I think I looked funny for 5 days because I could barely see myself in the bathroom mirror. A longer mirror could also be handy in the room.
I don't think the pool shown in photos is usable, just for appearance and to cool down the courtyard in the summer, it's smack bang in the middle of the dinning room.
- Jessica (9/5): Overall I loved my stay and felt perfectly safe as a solo female traveller. - I loved my stay as a female solo traveller at Riad Manissa.
The staff were friendly, it was easy to find and most of all I always felt safe as it was in a very busy area. Just a 30 second walk from one of the many bustling Souks in the city.
The Jewish Quarter was at the bottom of the Main Street and the famous Jemaa El-Fnaa Square at the top. Lots of places to eat nearby or grab a drink (alcohol) I would recommend the Dar Essalam rooftop or the amazing La Pergola Rooftop Jazz Bar. There were some workmen outside very early in the morning, which cannot be helped, but it did wake me
- Sandeep (5/5): Just about Ok - The location was good, could walk to all the attractions and the souks. The staff were good and helped us with suggestions. The breakfast had many options and was sumptuous. It is about a 5 minute walk from the nearest parking, but it is quite a challenge to get there with such narrow streets and confusing directions. There was wifi with repeaters on each floor, but the quality was just about adequate. The property was rated 9.1, which it surely does not deserve. We had booked the terrace room and though it did have the advantage of using the terrace, it fell short of our expectations. The room is open concept, and the most weird part is the shower stall, which is open and privacy is only provided by only a thin curtain. There was mold and rust in the shower stall which was gross. The WC was another shocker- just a tight bi-fold door where one had to back in. The WC was so small that even the toilet paper roll had to be kept on the cistern. It was also open to the room and one had to be careful while using it. The room was very basic and even the door to it did not close properly leading to privacy issues. I am only commenting on the Terrace room, though other rooms may have different layouts.
The Riad has probably seen better days, but now it is very dated and after the earthquake of last year, there is construction going on and the entry to the Riad is a big turn off. They were surprisingly full and do charge a fair sum for accommodation. The advertised pool is basically an oversized tub, and we did not see anyone using it while we were there. The furnishings need to kept clean and presented better. The breakfast timings are from 8-10 am, which may not suit many people with early flights and planned tours.
The Riad is surrounded by many restaurants and there is a fair amount of noise, which may affect some. Being a Riad, there are a lot of stairs to negotiate and may be challenge for people with mobility issues, though the staff did assist in our bags. There is a common fridge provided on the terrace, but a replacement may be looked at, since it is presently closed shut with a latch. The place has potential, but need a major overhaul to justify the high rating that it presently enjoys.
- Ford (9/5): 2 day stay, would come again, central location - location, close to taxi drop for Madina (once we found the place) however staff explained really well how to locate once we checked in.
staff lovely, service from them were fab, breakfast good, room clean, AC worked well, pretty perfect, 24 hour reception, let us keep our bags there after check out, would recommend this for a central stay location. We had a ground floor room, next to the kitchen, although the staff wasn't noisy, would have preferred floor one room, room was however very clean and tidy.
Was some building maintenance ongoing in the entrance, this did not effect our stay.
perhaps put a sign on the main door to help with finding correct location?
- Alison (6/5): We had a lovely stay in Marrakesh and enjoyed the hotel but there were a few little things that would add to the comfort - It was in a good location. The hotel was well set out, clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very pleasant . Air conditioning was great as the weather was really hot ! There were building works going on inside the front doorway up to the hotel door. Not a problem but these weren’t mentioned before we arrived. The workmen always stopped and let us through so it wasn’t a major problem. There were certain things that needed to be tidied up. The steps into the plunge pool were very unstable and not fully attached and the pool itself didn’t have a filter. Our room didn’t actually have a bathroom in it. There was a shower in the corner of the room and a toilet in another corner that again wasn’t attached well to the floor so it wobbled about. Both of these were only separated from the room with a curtain and the sink was just in the room. We had a lovely big bed but the sheet wasn’t big enough to stretch across it so we had to fight for the sheet in the night! We had the offer of tea and coffee if we wanted it but had to ask for it downstairs so It would be great to be able to make it in the room.
The final comment made us laugh …the room had a safe in it , yes but it was just sat on the table , light enough to pick up easily and not secured to anything so would be very easy to pick up and walk off with.
The hotel was really nice but these little attentions to detail would make all the difference
- Chigozie (10/5): Great location, incredibly friendly staff and picturesque riad - The property is so picturesque, I was constantly taking pictures from varying angles. It’s also perfectly located, close enough to the souks but far enough that you don’t hear any noise from them a night, only noise heard sometimes was from people inside the riad itself. There are also two lovely rooftops which we always found empty so we always had them to ourselves. The staff is SO incredibly nice. Welcoming, friendly, giving tips where you need them and so flexible. We have lovely breakfast to go when one of our activities started prior to breakfast being served. Even the cleaning staff was lovely. Couldn’t recommend it enough. There were some works being carried out at the front entrance but even that didn’t take away from our experience. If we go back to Marrakech we’ll be staying here again. Thank you Abdul and team! N/A
- Gino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Selime (9/5): Superb -
- Abdelmajid (7/5): Good - Location
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Audrey (7/5): Good - Atmosphere one of the hotel staff is not very helpful
- Marianne (10/5): Amazing staff and amazing view - Friendly host, he was so lovely and always helpful and smiley! He served us tea and made sure we was comfortable.
Had a lovely stay, and the location is great, not to noicy street and the terrace was amazing!
- Annika (7/5): Good - the staff are lovely and very accommodating. breakfast every morning was great, very filling and changed daily which was nice. a good location though somewhat difficult to access with suitcases in busy times, but other than that felt safe and central the shower is in the middle of the bedroom with only a small sheer curtain for privacy, and the bed was very hard
- Saskia (10/5): Wonderful stay at Riad Manissa - We had a wonderful stay in Riad Manissa (April 2024). Especially the host and staff of the Riad were very nice, welcoming and service-oriented. The roof terrace, location and breakfast were also great. We would highly recommend staying here. nothing
- Ram (8/5): Very good -
- Emelie (10/5): Lovely stay in Marrakesh - A lovely one-night stay for our first night in Marrakesh. We were welcomed with a lovely mint tea and cake and got some excellent restaurant recommendations (several great options within only minutes on foot). It was easy to find, well located and breakfast was delicious - recommended!
- Keri (10/5): I will be back to this Riad! - We absolutely loved our stay here. The decor and overall aesthetic was beautiful; the beds were so comfortable, and the terrace was a lovely spot to relax. Our favourite part was actually speaking with Abdel who was so kind and knowledgeable. He was a highlight of our trip to Marrakech and a great asset to the Riad Manissa. We would book here again in a heartbeat, and recommend to others. Honestly, nothing! It was all perfect.
- Catarina (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (9/5): Marrakesh - The staff were very helpful and professional, especially Yusef. Breakfast was great. Location was great. Foyer area is lovely and traditional. We were greeted at arrival by Yusef and offered tea and cake which was very much appreciated as we arrived hot and exhausted. There is a lovely terrace to relax in with views over Marrakesh. Also in indoor pool with lovely ceramics. My room was on the terrace and quite isolated, but the only one available at the time of booking. It really needed an upgrade, the door had gaps I could see light through and was very flimsy. The shower had mould in the corners. The toilet was in a cupboard and cramped- some people might think that quirky, but it really wasn’t 😕
- Konstantina (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable, nice rooftop, people were friendly.
Would recommend it for a stay in Marakkesh :)
- Kim (8/5): I loved my stay in this beautiful Riad. The easy access to restaurants and market. The staff were great. - The Riad is beautiful and in a great location. The staff were friendly and greeted us with tea, cake and information on the area.I loved my experience in Riad Manissa. My room was a little noisy in the morning but I chose a downstairs room where breakfast area is.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Claudio (9/5): Superb - Very nice environment, great location, very good breakfast. It was not a big issue, but we would have liked extra covers for the beds, it was a bit cold during the night.
- Jon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Roberto (9/5): Superb - It was a pleasant experience to stay at a traditional Riad, getting to enjoy the beautiful typical interior of Morocco. The staff was very kind and was always willing to talk and answer our question without interfering in our rest. That tea!! Delicious!! The terrace and common spaces were beautiful. Very clean.
- Wahied (9/5): Great - Certainly! Here’s a review for Hotel Riad Manissa:
My stay at Hotel Riad Manissa was truly delightful. Situated in a charming location, the hotel exudes a traditional Moroccan ambiance that adds to its allure. The breakfast was not only delicious but also a great way to start the day.
A highlight of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the host, Abderrahim. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. His friendliness and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Plus, the tea he served was absolutely delightful.
Overall, Hotel Riad Manissa offers a wonderful experience with its great location, delicious breakfast, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Abderrahim, for making our stay so memorable!
- Irem (10/5): It was really nice and comfortable. - Location is great it is in the middle of the old town, everything is in walking distance. Breakfast was really good and tasty, it makes you feel full for a long time. Staff are really helpful and nice, you can answer everything and they will make sure you get the right answer.
- Liamfamily (8/5): In marrakech - I loved the location.
- Richard (7/5): Authentic Riad in the heart of the medina. A few more luxuries and it would have been perfect - Authentic Riad in the heart of the medina. Shower had no pressure. Access to soft drinks/alcohol would have made the terrace more appealing.
- Attota (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alfredo (9/5): Good location and great staff - Very nice and cozy Riad. Abdul was super nice, gave us recommendations and made us feel like home. It has a very relaxing terrace and the location is perfect. you can hear everything in the riad but I guess it happens in every riad.
- Mara (9/5): Superb -
- Mateusz (9/5): Superb - Nice and helpful staff Doors to the bathroom were little revealing so it might be troublesome for some
- Benjamin (10/5): Hidden gem - Excellent location, room, and breakfast. Staff were very welcoming. Peaceful terrace. Nothing.
- Karin (8/5): Central calm Riad. - Large comfy bed with good linen. Beautiful trailing plants. Good coffee at breakfast. Not much room around the bed . Too many carpets. No bathroom glasses. Good breakfast first day not matched by following two.
- Larraitz (9/5): Superb - the staff was very pleasant and accessible for all our questions.
the breakfast was amazing. nothing
- Birthe (10/5): Exceptionally good value for money. - What we liked best with Riad Manissa was the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff with Youssef as manager. The room where we stayed was bigger than expected. Breakfast was good as well.
- Karolina (10/5): Great place in the heart of Medina. - Everything. There is nothing to fault. The staff was amazing, especially Youssef and Hassan (if I remember good). Perfect location, right in the heart of Medina, close to taxi, the big square, tourist attractions. The Riad itself is beautiful, like a perfect oasis to chill and relax.
I will definitely come back. Nothing
