The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. Plenty of towels. The hallway smelled like people used to smoke in the hotel years ago-- just a subtle hint of old smoke.
- Marcy (10/5): Boulder Creek Lodge - The breakfast options were a bit disappointing. No eggs and bacon, just waffles and oatmeal for hot options. However, it is a beautiful location along side the creek and there are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. The King room was spacious with a creel-side view and very comfortable.
- Joanne (10/5): - In the quaint western town of Nederland, CO west of Denver we discovered this lodge with the Boulder Creek running adjacent to the inn with many nostalgic games to play. Had incredible decks and the lodge is full of log cabin furniture and was a superb get away with our family! I truly enjoyed the Joann's unique breakfasts and Aaron's attention to details.
- Sara (10/5): - This property is the perfect place to stay in Nederland! It is walking proximity to great restaurants and even a grocery store if you need it! Just to the side of the property you can pick up a nice walking trail that leads you to the reservoir for fishing or just a nice walk. The staff are wonderful and the hotel has a nice area over looking the town where you can play many board games that the hotel has for guests! My children loved their stay here!
- Anthony (6/5): Needs new mattress - Carpet in common areas needs to be updated. The room was great except the mattress the divots on both sides of the bed were deep enough you could have hid in them. Very uncomfortable mattress. Location is great.

The hotel is right on Boulder Creek and the lobby is inviting with seating and access to the patio on the creek. The rooms, however, are dated and feel dirty. And the continental breakfast (which opens at 8am) was a disappointment. They offered waffles and a selection of Costco bagels, cereal and snacks.

- Lauren (2/5): - How strange to ask guests not to request additional toilet paper until the roll is depleted? This property is showing its age: worn and not very clean. In addition, there is no coffee avail on the property before 8am. Not very convenient for jet lagged travelers. None in the rooms, nor lobby. When did coffee become a luxury? Finally, breakfast was also interesting. The area blew a fuse, a known problem if more than 2 of the appliances are plugged in. That’s ok, here’s a shared butter tub with barely any left. I know you are the only hotel in Nederland, but don’t you want to do better?

- Verified traveler (8/5): False Advertising; Gas Fireplaces Not Working - Loved our visit. Quaint, clean, cabin-feel right at the center of Nederland. Easy walking distance to groceries, book store, visitor center, and restaurants. 10 minute drive to Eldora. Only complaint is the false advertising of a fireplace in our room. Yes, there was a gas fireplace, but we were told that there were too many problems with them, so ours couldn’t be turned on. Such a shame. Would have been a lovely way to end a day of skiing.

- Keith (10/5): Small Ski Town - Great location! You can walk to any of the restaurants and/or shops from this spot. Nice walkway to the Lake as well. 10 minute drive to Eldora Ski Resort. The hotel has two nice common areas for bigger groups. Very nice and helpful staff. Don't expect high-end ammenities within the hotel room. Think of the room more like an old classic cabin and you'll appreciate it more.

Mattresses are old and uncomfortable, linens are old, bed spreads are cheap and uncomfortable, carpets are stained, the rooms don't smell clean, lighting is weak, the staff ( not everyone), in general isn't very friendly. Mostly I was ignored when entering or leaving the property. Maybe they just don't do enough business to maintain the property properly, it is tired and not well maintained, inside and out. What a shame as it's the only game in town. I hear the town wants to restrict short term rental property, and this is the only option, that will need to change.

- Brian (10/5): - This is our 5th stay here. It's quaint, quiet and next to the Middle Boulder Creek. The bubbling brook sound is always present through our open window. It's a lodge, always feels like they should upgrade portions of it, but that is the charm for us. Need a few more chairs on the back deck. Breakfast starts after 8. So much to see and do in town. Very, very clean.

- Georgina Ivonne (2/5): - I like the property, but I don't appreciate the fact they charged us $300 extra for smoking fee, when we don't even smoke, this happened they day after we left the room, they suppose to send me a pic as a the proof after I called to find out about this extra charge but they didn't do it until two weeks later after me calling them. So, I got one pic with a cigarette bud in a kitchen sink, I will never know how it got there, but what I do know is ... it wasn't me, and they charged me $300.

- Danielle (10/5): - Staying at the Buffalo Creek Lodge was such a treat for my husband and I celebrating our wedding anniversary this past weekend. The lodge was so warm, cozy, and inviting, and couldn't have been in a better location. It was a joy to listen to and look at the creek right outside our window, and to be so centrally located. I look forward to hopefully staying here again in the future!
- Stan and Sandy (10/5): A room with a view - It was a very quaint lodge, our room faced a babbling brook and the main street up the hill to downtown Netherland. It was conveniently located to walk into town or across the street to supermarket. We had a king size bed. It was during the peak season of fall leaves, and we will definitely stay there again
- Steven (10/5): - The property itself was charming and exceptionally clean, honestly one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at. The room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Parking was free and plentiful, and the location was ideal for lots of nature. My only small gripes is that there was not staff present 24 hours a day which is typical at almost all hotels. Also, the cafe area is locked at night. I had to depart at 5 AM so it would have been nice to be able to grab food on the way out. Otherwise, I highly recommend the place and would absolutely return if I was in the area again.

- Melissa (10/5): - This property is amazing, and all the staff were incredible. Comfy beds and beautiful views. Be sure to check out the farmer's market nearby, it's so cute!
- Heather (10/5): - We love this place, this was our third stay here. The staff are very friendly and love our dogs! The hotel is rustic and although a little rundown it has had some remodeling and is very clean. The location in town is perfect for walking everywhere. There are some sketchy people creeping around town so lock your vehicle and don’t leave any valuables in it.
- Brian (10/5): - Quiet and convenient place to stay in a great little town on our trip through he Rockies. We booked a family room with multiple beds that kept us all in one room and had everything we needed.
- Linda (6/5): Good for 1night. - Great location. Walkable to best pizza I’ve had in years. Place need new carpet and little remodeling. Front desk lady was kind and tried to help us enjoy our time.

- Kenneth (10/5): - Beautiful property on the river within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops. It served as a perfect, no frills hub to the nearby mountains. Our room did have a portable AC unit but don't believe that is standard, especially not in the mountains. It was appreciated! Continental breakfast was the bear minimum, coffee wasn't great either. That being said, the lodge was situated between two of the best coffee shops in town. Both of which had delicious breakfasts. Glad we ventured out. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.

- Holly (10/5): - This is a rustic western lodge, if you're looking for fancy this won't be your place but we really liked it. We will definitely come again when we're in the area. The room we had was so nice, very clean.

- Anthonius (10/5): - Boulder creek is great to be next to, and great location. One gripe is that the rooms are a little dark and I had to move the bedlamp to the desk to be able to work on it.
