Guest Reviews
- Colleen (6/5): For what it was it was more than I like to pay but it was okay. - It was convenient to where I was going. They used some type of perfumed deodorizer in the room that was overwhelming. Had to leave the window open till too cold to help combat the smell. Everything in my suitcase smelled from it.
No Kleenex or hairdryers or other amenities. The soap was so bad you couldn’t make it lather at all.
- Becky (1/5): Mice in my room - Nothing It had mice crawling around the top of the dresser and floor. It was dirty. The shower sprayed water all over.
- Lisa (8/5): It met our needs! -

- Glenn (4/5): Not great. Though we paid for two nights, we left after one. - Location. Had a oval toilet seat on a round toilet. Doesn't work well that way. Shower barely trickled water. Wife wouldn't even try it thinking it would never get the products out of her hair. Newer fridge that still had the plastic on the outside. It had bubbles all over it making it look defective. If they remove it it'll look nice.
- Claire (10/5): Not applicable. Plan a future trip to visit them. - Easy cancellation. Nothing to report.
- Kenneth (10/5): Clean, quiet, comfortable, - Easy Check in and out, easy in room Park in front of room. Clean, comfortable, quiet. I will stay Here next year NA
- Chris (10/5): Perfect for what I needed. -
- Katherine (8/5): We liked the quiet surroundings for a good night of rest. - We didn't eat breakfast... It was great for a one night stay...
- Hight (6/5): - Poor water pressure in shower. No coffee pot in room or lobby
- Mari (10/5): - It was quite and relaxing
- Fausch (7/5): Motel Forrest was close to gas stations and the covered bridges. - There was no breakfast area. The exhaust fan in Unit 12 was very loud.
- Mark (8/5): good to have these conveniences available at a reasonable price - good Price and a good location everything was fine
- Wallace (3/5): -
- William (7/5): - Room size for the price
- Cindy (7/5): It was a good night sleep. - It was ok clean needed improvement but close to area. Needed improvement

- verberk (5/5): -
- Amy (8/5): We would stay there again. - It is a good place to stay if you are traveling to visit the parke county covered bridge festival. The place was clean and close to everything. Some type of a small breakfast.
- ChiehYu (9/5): -
- Montalbano (9/5): - Clean, comfy bed and quiet No light in the shower area but light in bathroom bright enough to see.
- David (2/5): -
- TARRI (9/5): Very nice - Nice and clean. Water pressure very low in shower but I will definitely book again
- H (8/5): Nice people and well maintained property. An older property but was just fine for a weekend - Clean TV, bed, shower
- Shannon (7/5): Cheap and good for one evening stay but def not a fancy place - Good location for covered bridge fest Small outdated bathroom
Shower was a bit like a dungeon
- Todd (7/5): Good value for that price range. Secure, reasonably clean, and functional. - It was reasonably clean for the price. Some in that range can be scary. The beds were very firm, but comfortable enough, with good pillows. The air conditioner worked well, which wasn't the case in a Red Roof Inn the night before. Staff was helpful and polite. Yes, it's old and outdated, but functional. The only concern was the strong smell of a plug-in air freshener, which was probably masking another smell that we would probably like less.
- Laura (8/5): Good location higher price due to the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival - Good location Older and showing wear
- Dezarn (10/5): - Close to the area we were in.
- S (8/5): - Location to covered bridges.
Ease of unloading luggage with hotel door 10 feet away.
- Tracey (4/5): Very uncomfortable overall. - The price & location were good. They also let us do a later check out for free. The floors in the room & bathroom felt greasy & the shower felt sliimey. There were several flies flying around the room when we first got there, so we had to kill flies immediately. Our door wouldn't lock unless you locked it with the key from the outside. So it kept popping open. It made us worry for our saftey while sleeping. The shower was either really cold or scalding hot- no in-between. The remote to the tiny TV on the wall would not work & we only could watch 1 channel. It was disappointing overall.
- Diener (8/5): - Room was nice size and roomy bed comfy nice to have fridge and microwave. Bugs coming thru door since it did not seal, soap supplied too small.
- Jason (8/5): - Quiet, not noisy, and simple, not far from a grocery store or gas station, and it was nice to have a little bench to sit on outside the room in the morning. Maybe have a little coffee pot in the room, that's okay though, not a big deal.
- Fullen (7/5): Clean, efficient, would stay again. -
- Carol (3/5): Not great but only place available - The bed was comfortable Room was not very clean. Shower was terrible. No coffee maker and microwave worked, but not very well.
- Aaron (10/5): Will definitely be staying there again! - The smell of cleanliness and very reasonable priced, very close to our fishing lake and foods 😋
- Angela (3/5): We tolerated it since it was just for one night of sleeping and nothing else. - Proximity to state park, decent price for holiday weekend, large fridge/freezer. Very old, outdated furnishings and bedding, 2 beds crammed into a room clearly made for only 1, very dirty carpet, towels, and bathroom (bugs and mold). We honestly opted to not shower at all instead of using that shower stall. I had to call the front desk because there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector. We survived one night, was literally there just to sleep. We would definitely not have stayed more than one night.

- Guy (8/5): Very good -
- Tim (7/5): Good -
- Ashlee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eunsim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing - Staff was nice. The motel had above average amenities. It smelled of smoke. All my clothes and blankets I brought to the trip stank of it despite smoking being banned at the motel. The staff did not air and defume the room correctly affecting my asthma.
- Kevin (3/5): Poor -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - Convenient location. Friendly, helpful check in. Easy check out. Oddly shaped room, situated on the bend of the building. It was interesting and good for 1 person. Would not be convenient for more.
Too much outside light in the room overnight.
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Brooks (8/5): Very good -
- Conder (7/5): Good -
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Huddleston (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jared (9/5): Fine for a modest spot - This place is fine for a humble little spot. The price is fair, the room was clean, and you are right near the significant things in town. The hot water in the shower didn't really get hot for a long time (not ideal for a cold winter stay).
- Weber (5/5): Passable -
- Joe (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Doug (7/5): Good -
- Kenneth (10/5): Better than Great - Cleanest room I've been in a 100 mile area. The price, Location not too far from My show in Danville. Peaceful I will be stay here next year Nothing
- John (6/5): They had a room available when I needed one with pets. - It was available. Shower was very dark & a small seasonal Asian beetle infestation.
- James (1/5): Terrible stay - Room was fairly clean Room very small. Asked for a 5-day refund - ghosted.
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Peri (6/5): Decent stay - Closest to Turkey Run SP. price was affordable. Bed was comfortable. Toilet clogged. It took a long time for hot water to come for the shower.
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionally clean , very close to everything we were interested in doing. Owners are super nice and the place is super quiet !!! Second time staying here and will stay again!!! Shower head is a little low
- Paul (5/5): Passable -
- Shawn (8/5): Very good -
- John (3/5): Poor -
- Bailey (1/5): Did not stay here. Room was dirty and did not feel safe. Smelled like smoke and chemicals. - Nothing. Room was dirty. Nothing. Room was very old and felt dirty. Did not stay because there was hair on the sheets and the bathroom
- Cindy (10/5): Super nice guy! - Very nice and helpful!! He gave us suggestions on where to go! My mom forgot her pillow there and he said he’d send it to us! Super nice! Hoping to get the pillow!! Nice place! Older place but you know that going in!! Fabulous location for bridge festival!
- Jones (9/5): Superb - Beds were comfortable, and rooms were clean. No coffee pots in room and not very many outlets in room
- Marcy (7/5): Good - Clean. Towels changed daily. Overall, good place to stay for the price. We came for the covered bridge festival and were exhausted by the end of the day, so this worked fine. Beds very comfortable. Very little water pressure in shower. Room smelled musty. Need power strip by nightstand as there is only one outlet and the light is plugged into one spot.
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional - I like the location, close to stores and resturants
Room was clean, area quiet, well lighted at night
Have front door parking
- Scott (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Snyder (8/5): Very good - The water pressure isn't the greatest
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Amy (4/5): Place is fine unless you like to flush your toilet paper! - For a room to rent after fishing all day it was clean and comfortable. The biggest problem I have with this place is the huge sign in the bathroom saying not to flush the toilet paper!! What the hell is that!
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Erica (1/5): Horrifying - Nothing Gross carpet, non smoking room reeked of smoke, sign in the bathroom said "do not flush toilet paper"
- Michelle (2/5): Not pleasant. - Location Very old, run Dow and people were living there.
- Christa (6/5): Great location, hopefully they fix the sewer situation. - Great location. They didn’t want you to put toilet paper in the toilet but in a bag, then toss it. I didn’t do that. Just warning you bc they don’t tell.
- Mare (7/5): Good -
- Vollmar (2/5): Very poor - Very dirty and worn out.
- White (9/5): Superb - Very clean and they done everything to make things right Nothing
- Ashley (5/5): It was ok, I’m glad it was close to my mom, and it was cheap😁 - It was close Bed was not comfortable, shower was leaking, stains
- Johnny (10/5): Exceptional - Very plight Nothing
- Natalia (7/5): It wasn't bad for the price it was simple, and worked alright. Bring your own soap amenities. - It was clean and tidy, and in a great location. It was a bit concerning to have a sign saying all toilet paper needs to go in the trash and not be flushed. Also kinda wish the amenities provided were a bit better. The little sliver disk of a soap bar we got was hard as a rock.
- Patricia (9/5): Nice stay - Appears to be well kept up, clean, grass was mowed and flowers were planted, liked having a refrigerator and microwave in the room, ice available Everything was good
- Bryce (9/5): Superb -
- Kimberley (7/5): Good just unhandy with toilet problem - Location and price Could not flush toilet paper, like 3rd world country. How do them pass board of health. Fix the problem
- Dawn (7/5): Nice place for the price! - It was old fashioned but clean and quaint. It had a nice fridge and microwave. The location and price were great. We would stay there again! The water pressure was not good in the shower. The fact that you couldn't flush toilet paper, that was kind of a pain.
- K (6/5): The management was very helpful! Very pleased with our stay. - No breakfast, but we were able to bring our fur baby with us, which is very important. $10 fee extra per night. Totally worth having our Fur baby.
No washer or dryer that we seen. Did have ice available. Big fridge in each room. Very clean rooms and beds. Thank y'all The rooms are a little smaller than expected, but we were all able to be comfortable and really that's all that matters!
- Joyce (7/5): Convenient place to stay. - Close to state parks and activities as well as grocery stores and gas stations. Small refrigerator; shower very small; has policy where you couldn’t flush ANY toilet paper down but rather put it in the trash
- Gary (8/5): Comfortable, quiet experience. - No breakfast, the amenities were very good, I was comfortable and slept well. The toilet was a 4 gallon flush, old fashioned and would not flush toilet paper. Thatneeds to be corrected and fixed.
