Guest Reviews
- Bryan (7/5): - Clean, price below average.
- Anna (8/5): - This is a budget hotel, think 1 to 2 star. But clean and well kept.
As well, after check in, the manager/owner realized that I had both paid online and paid in person. He came running to the room to correct this. If he hadn't, I likely wouldn't have noticed until I got back home. Excellent Close to highway, a little noisy but okay
- Doug (7/5): -
- Denis (5/5): Не рекомендую - Местоположение Холодно и не работать кондиционер на обогрев. Старая мебель и неуютно
- Wendy (8/5): For the price and for one night we can’t complain. - Excellent highway access and walkable to several decent eateries.
Price was affordable.
Very large room with fridge, kettle, microwave and Roku TV. There was evidence of deferred maintenance.
The two windows didn’t open as they had glass but no design to permit opening or escape.
- Annette (10/5): The front desk guy was really helpful -
- Mathieu (10/5): Surprised of the quality for the price. Located near 5 fast foods and gas, perfect for travels - Very clean and renovated. That I didnt stay an extra night

- Michelle (10/5): Great place, great value! My new go to. - The bed was comfy, firm, so you don't hurt your back. The staff are very helpful and nice. The room was quiet, the appliances were QUIET and so was the heater! I was very pleased 🙂 There was not anything I didn't like.
- Ken (7/5): -
- Jones (8/5): Stay was quiet- comfortable and in my price point. - Room had comfortable bed with clean linen - fresh towels - enough for an experienced traveller - basic commodities for a decent price point. All one needs really….a quiet weekend stay for 1.

- Perreault (4/5): Disappointing - Found a pair of underwear under the bath mat when I went for a shower. Shower took forever for hot water. No windows to open for air in room. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
- Jena (5/5): Passable - Dog fee was 49 dollars per dog. It worked out to be more than the hotel itself.
- Emma (10/5): Good value :) - Very friendly service and very clean :)
- Pearleen (7/5): Budget friendly place to stay - Good budget friendly place to sleep with a nice TV, controllable heat, microwave, kettle and great shower head. Not very sound proof rooms - we were woken up by loud voices outside our door.

Overall a good experience.
- Kate (10/5): - Excellent stay at the Rainbow! You can tell that the owners and staff take pride in this motel providing a friendly and welcoming check in. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and has all the regular amenities you would expect. Would be happy to stay here again!
- Michael (7/5): It’s all good the owner is warm and friendly. - Clean and value for money Aircon is not that cold need some upgrade.
- Robert (6/5): Good enough for a guys trip passing through - Cheap, older, clean. Beds were fine.
No coffee in room
Ojs literally at end of property and close to hwy
- Albert (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (4/5): Disappointing - We never stayed. The property in real life was not in my comfort zone. We paid the fee and drove on to Moose Jaw. Out of my comfort zone, we didn't stay. We drove on to Moose jaw.
- Adrienne (4/5): - There was no kettle, coffee maker or toaster. No cups, teas or coffees. Our first night we were really cold because the heater didn't work but it was fixed in the morning so we were warm the next day. There was a lot of traffic noise as well as hearing the neighbours arguing at 6.15 am wasn't very good.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (4/5): its high time for a good cleaning and or a Reno to modernize. - location was good the extra charge for a little dog was outrageous
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -

- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (8/5): Very good - Clean and quiet Needed coffee maker
- Faith (2/5): Very poor -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Simplicity of location and to other establishments No usb ports in room. Must carry your own charger
- Andrea (8/5): Very affordable, excellent location. Bring your own bath plug. - The facility was very well located. Central and easy to get to. It seemed I was the only guest in the are where I was located, which was lovely. I didn't have time for breakfast but it looked quite good. Hot food available as well as a waffle maker, cereal and fruit. The door locked, the air conditioning worked and there was indoor plumbing. All very much appreciated. The bed was not particularly comfortable. The room was in need of some updating. There were burn marks from cigarettes in the bathroom and sitting area. There was no plug for the bathtub which was disappointing, but certainly not the end of the world.
- Beland (9/5): Great timing for me going both ways, from Quebec to Calgary and from Calgary back to Quebec in 2023! - The fact that I could come in as early as 2 Pm on my first visit, and also the fact that I could have checked out as early as 4 am on my second visit... Also the fact that if i had made a mistake to book it, that I could have decided at the last minute to cancel and also that I did not need a credit card to reserve it and to pay for it!!!! The friendliness of the front desk staff!! Nothing..
- Arthur (6/5): - Thin walls.
They said no to me parking in back with trailer but then let someone else with tr park in back
- Dianne (1/5): Awful😩 - Nothing No coffee in rooms . The floor was hard wood and cold on the feet . They charge way to much for a small dog to stay😖terrible
- Rosemary (6/5): - The room was not very clean, chairs were soiled and bedding was old and sheets were thin. Travelling with a small dog and was charged $39.00 as a pet fee! 😲 Most hotels only charge $20 or $25! The rooms need to be updated. Definitely will not stay there again!
- brent (8/5): - nothing, as it good!
- Khushpreet (2/5): - They took the 100$ deposit.
They said they will take $20 from deposit coz there is a missing towel.
And they didn’t even return anything from deposit.
Very rude old guy at reception
- Ross (8/5): Very good - ECONOMICAL AND A GOOD LOCATION. CLEAN BED AND SHOWER. ALL I NEEDED.
- Van (6/5): Pleasant -
- M (5/5): Passable -
- Lynn (7/5): Good -
- Clayton (5/5): Passable -
- Sylvain (1/5): Bad -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Boyd (5/5): Might have been okay if they were pet friendly - Didn’t end up staying here Didn’t end up staying here after I was informed at check in that it would be $39 extra for my pet. That was more than half the room rate. This needs to be upfront and mentioned on all booking sites. On the good side I was not charged for the booking.
- Khurana (8/5): Very good - The room was value for money. The staff was really friendly and cooperative.
- Eve (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anna (1/5): Additional charges! - I was allowed to check in later than expected I was charged additional $30+tax for my kids even though I booked a room for 2 adults and 3 children on Booking. We're very disappointed!
- adam (6/5): - Wi-Fi was brutal barely worked. Room was clean and large. Dated bathroom but clean. Whole room was very clean
- Lassner (4/5): easy booking and check in however our door wouldn’t lock and I had to call a head because when I said I’d pay there it s - close to food places sketchy surrounding, doors didn’t lock, smelled a bit odd, too pricy for what you get, and door to our room was externally heavy.
- Dariusz (1/5): Bad -
- Ruth (10/5): - Thank you for your kindness!
- Blanche (8/5): - This motel was exceptionally clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I asked for an off-street room because the motel faces the Trans Canada Highway, which is extremely busy and noisy. Our room was quiet so we all slept well. It can be challenging finding accomodation that allows pets so I was thrilled that The Rainbow Motel does. Our dog also slept well and enjoyed exploring during our walks.
The motel is situated amongst innumerable shopping and dining locales, with easy access to the Trans Canada. It is very easy to get downtown and to other areas of Swift Current. If you like ice-cream and soft serve, visit the family-owned Dairy King across the street. It has a vast menu and everything is delicious. There is a Shoppers Drug Mart and Original Joe's around the corner, Smitty's across the street, and the Wheatland Mall kitty corner. The golf course and the off-leash dog park are also close by. The hospital, if you need it, is only a few blocks away.
My only complaint was the very thin pillows, which were so thin it was like not having a pillow. However, I asked for extra pillows and was provided them without issue. I will absolutely stay here again if I pass through another time, and similarly recommend this motel to other travellers.
- Verified traveler (4/5): I wouldn’t stay again. - Pretty gross. There for work. Left and found something nicer for same price
- Gordon (8/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was ok, i just needed a bed. Disappointed that there wasnt a hairdryer or coffeemaker in room. I guess i forgot to read uf there was. So $65. 00 in my opinion was too much for the bare minimum
- Michel (8/5): Value - Got a good clean room, coffee maker would have been nice. Fast food and convenience store 5 min walk from hotel. Highway next to hotel and room was quiet
- Shane (10/5): - It was the only place in town that wasn’t booked during the CCA weekend. I was hesitant at first, but it turned out to be a nice place to stay. Room was cleaned every day and freshened up for my week stay. Price was good also!
- MJ (6/5): - At least it was clean. More towels needed and the toilet paper rolls need to be bigger and better quality.
