• Joseph (10/5): Great place! - Check in went well and overall everything went fine! The Wifi did not appear to be available. I did not mention anything while I was there so it does not weigh heavy on my overall score.

• Maria (8/5): - The manager Sam, was very friendly and helpful. Room looked as the pictures. Good location for visiting Luray Caverns or Shenandoah NP. One recommendation for the hotel will be to provided bigger size and softer towels, other than that I highly recommend this hotel.
• Victoria (4/5): - I have stayed here a couple of times and I really love the area and I love to the place, but this time unfortunately, it was a little louder than normal and there was NO HOT WATER. When leaving in the morning I saw a maintenance guy there to fix the water. but nothing was mentioned to me or no offer of a discount. Nothing like that for my inconvenience. Bummer

• Jennifer (6/5): Nice area, good brewery - Beautiful area, long winding drive to this isolated area. The property is pretty and dog-friendly. The money is in the brewery and long term stays-hotel rooms are small and furnished cheaply, smelly at times, don’t know if it’s the chemicals from the salon nearby or the bathroom. Beds are very springy, small tv, coffee maker for hotel bag coffee provided and a small refrigerator with a freezer portion. No microwave. Ok but def not fancy. Pet price of $40 per night, a bit much.

• Lydia (10/5): - Had a very nice stay. It was convenient for our needs and very quiet. Room is cozy size but was very clean, simple yet tasteful decor, and had everything we needed.
• danielle (10/5): Blue hill motel - Came from Long Island, liked the property & room design. Didn’t get to enjoy the Russian Mule, but place was busy on Saturday and food smelled great. Further than we thought from the Bethel amphitheater but not that far. All in all a lovely place to stay.

• Tracy (8/5): House at hotel - The house is huge and offers everyone a comfortable space. I wish there were a few more amenities in the kitchen for cooking (like knives, cooking oil, measuring cups). I also think the living room could warrant a bigger couch! But overall it was great.
• Thomas (10/5): Try this place! - One night for a wedding. Small, clean and worth the money. Be careful about check-in which ends at 8:00 pm on Friday. They will make accommodations if you need. Check-in at the brewery. Fast and pleasant.
• Samantha (10/5): - Such a great little spot!! The few rooms in the Lodge are clean and comfortable, small and older but just great. The bedding was bleachy clean and the comforters seemed crisp and new. We felt safe and it was quiet… Once the jammin live music at the awesome Next door brewery and restaurant stopped that is! Food was incredible, beer and music was fabulous. We hope to be back again!!

• JOSEPH (8/5): Very Comfortable Stay !!! - Very friendly and easy check in at the Russian Mule Brewery on the property. We also ate at the Brewery, the Mule Kick Nachos were Awesome !!! Also the beers were very good too. Great variety. I thought this place was closer to Bethel Woods, it's about 40-45 minutes away. A little drive after the concert got over at 11 PM, but I would stay here again !!!

There is no cell service in this area and the wifi was spotty. The nearest open restaurant was 30 minutes away. We saw a bear on the ride. There were pros and cons of this stay, but it was clean and comfortable and i would consider staying again
• Andrew (6/5): - A fairly good hotel. Room was clean. My only complaint was the wifi. It was practically unusable as it disconnected and reconnected regularly from multiple devices. Wouldn't be a big deal but I needed to be able to plan hikes.

• Michael (8/5): - We stayed on a weekday. It was quiet and clean. The only concern is tgat the outside door was so rusted and broken that it allowed light under the door meaning bugs and crotters could akso cone in. Also, despite the digital display, the heat was either on continuously or off. It was a cool night and we kept having to wake up to turn it off and on.

The complex was closed up for winter the weekend I stayed, but a special thank you to the manager who was kind enough to drive over after hours and open up a room for a friend I'd been out hiking with on an adventure that lasted much later than we'd expected. We appreciate the kindness and hospitality more than you can imagine.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Enforce Parking Rules & Ensure Safety for Guests - Stay was good. Best part was bar/restaurant on site w/live music on patio. Car was parked illegally in front of room doors & when I brought this to the attention of management, they assured me they would get guest to move their vehicle. It was a safety hazard (fire lane) Guest did NOT move, defied order & remained parked throughout the nite & owners/mgmt. did not enforce. This is an epic fail.

Visited late Sept midweek when adjoining Russian Mule Brewery & Restaurant was closed. Ate dinner & breakfast at Neversink General store about 10 minutes away ... and enjoyed it.

Food good. Staff friendly. Grounds very nice. Never think general store had great food especially breakfast items.
• Barbara (10/5): - The Blue Hills Lodge was much more than a place to stay for a few days. They had there own Post Office, Beauty Salon, Museum, Restaurant, Event Center, Live Entertainment, Microbrewery (Russian Mule Brewery), Beer Tasting, wonderful grounds, could I add more. I met the owner and staff. Everyone treated me and my small 9 pound dog as a cherish member of the family. rather then a stranger and a guest. It really felt like a home with special extras. The only thing that it lacked was a microwave. This was more that a 5 star place of lodging. Thank you so very must to the staff of the Blue Hills Lodge and the Russian Mule Brewery.
• Dimuthu (6/5): A great location clean but no good climate control - A great location, great brewery and staff. our second time. Stayed in apartment A, fully equipped, three bedrooms with two in attic with no bedrooms, one full bathroom with the full bathroom. Land line didn’t work because it had some charging issue, wifi i had to power cycle. But the real issue was no AC in two rooms. One room had small fan which wasn’t very useful.
• Joshua (10/5): Nice place to relax and unwind - The hotel was very nice. If you are looking for peace and quiet, look no further. You have a peaceful trout stream that flows behind it. Only downside is no major amenities near by.

• Michael (8/5): - Everything went smoothly. Be aware that after hours checkin is handled by the room being left unlocked and the key inside (not the safest way to handle it, but it's very rural and we just thoroughly checked the room). Room was clean and quiet. No one else seemed to be staying on the property (we were there off season). Only complaints would be that we had only 1 roll of toilet paper in the room, the wifi was not very reliable or easy to connect to, and the head board was pretty wobbly and knocked the wall with the tiniest movement (we put towels behind it so my son could sleep). Clean. affordable place to crash before we headed up the Red Hill Fire tower trail. Thanks!

I travel from out of state on business and have had to reschedule a few times due to inclement weather and the lodge staff has always been kind and accomodating. • Diane (10/5): - Had a quiet, lovely stay at this perfectly manicured property. Our room was very clean and cottage-like. The furnishings were country inspired. The bathroom gleemed! There is a restaurant on site but we came in the off season so it was, unfortunately closed. Would love to return during the summer to experience it as the reviews are high. Overall this was one of our best stays at any hotel/motel in years! Kudos to the owners for checking all the right boxes!

We had dinner at the Russian Mule, it was delicious and the owners very warm and friendly. The hike nearby (Red Hill fire tower) was amazing

• Melissa (2/5): UNFORGIVABLE - LOCKED OUT OF MY ROOM - The girl on the phone, Kianna, assured me I would be able to come in late, after the office closed at 9pm. (What motel closes their office at 9pm on a Saturday night??!!?!) She said room #2 would be open and the key inside. But… THE DOOR WAS LOCKED when I got there at 12am. The lights were off and the curtains drawn. The next room had lights on and a key visible on the dresser, but that door was locked too. There is NO CELL SERVICE in this area so I couldn’t even look for a room somewhere else. So after working all day at an event in the Catskills, I had to sleep in my car until daylight. Unforgivable. They say this is an “event venue” as well as an inn - they can’t even let their guests into rooms that are paid for, I can only imagine how they would ruin someone’s wedding. Oh and they DONT ANSWER THE PHONE not even now, 8:30am the next morning, so who knows when I’ll be able to reach someone to now start the process of trying to get my money back. Lazy, incompetent, INHOSPITABLE.
• LEAH (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at Blue Hill as a base for attending a wedding in Woodridge . The room was clean, and there was a bar fridge, which I wish had been itemized in the hotel listing. This is a great feature when you know about it in advance. We had dinner at the Russian Mule Restaurant on the first night and were very happy with the tasty veggie burgers. The staff was very friendly.

• Steven (10/5): - The lodge house was lovely and very comfortable. My only comment is that the description should be changed to remove that it’s air conditioned, because it’s not. Additionally, a number of the windows don’t have screens and some of the blinds are broken, so it’s not easy to get good airflow. We managed fine because it was cool and comfortable, but I can’t imagine how the lodge must be when it’s hot and humid outside.

• Stephen (10/5): Excellent retreat - Boutique, 7-room hotel in a beautiful setting with unique facilities. Comfortable rooms with firm bed and recently renovated bathroom. The small art gallery in the stunningly renovated barn, brewery and outstanding Russian food in the restaurant a few steps away are not to be missed. There is a separate beautiful wedding/event space as well.

• Kenneth (8/5): Beautiful lodge with on-site amenities - Great lodge. Beautiful location. Enjoyed the on-site restaurant/bar. Just had some trouble with intermittent WiFi, which was an issue because cell signal was also very weak and intermittent.

• Jeffrey (10/5): - Lovely property and surroundings, nice and quiet. Room was clean and well kept. Never did get the tv to work and there was a distinct lack of hot water in the shower! Overall, I loved my stay at Blue Hill, just a couple of small things were sub-par.
• Katielyn (8/5): - Savannah was great! She moved us to a bigger room when we found that there was a gap at the bottom of the door and I wasn't comfortable with that. It's a cute little area. Needs a store on site for ice, drinks and snacks since there's nothing around for 20 to 30 mins. A microwave in the room would be great!
