mays824 (10/5): Amazing weekend staycation! - I booked an overnight stay for a friend as a bday present through booking.com. My friend, her sister and her son really enjoyed their stay. The hotel is in the middle of the city, the room is spacious, with a sofa bed, and they had an amazing time at the pool area and the restaurant. The hotel even gave her a birthday cake. I will definitely check this place out the next time I am in Manila. Thank you Hotel Benilde for offering a great stay at a great price point.
James (8/5): - I’ll start off by saying, no I have not complained and won’t about my stay here! All the staff are great people! There is potential for a 5star hotel here, but it’s been neglected for so long.. they’re struggling to maintain a decent stay. I booked for 22 nights and received a below par room with a horrific view of a rotted terrace. Being from the USA, and not being here for a touristy vacation per say, the price is lower than a motel 6 so I’m very tolerant and won’t complain about the carpets making my feet dirty, the closet lights never turn off, one door doesn’t close and one light has no on/off capability. But, BY FAR the staff kindness and hospitality overwhelmingly exceeds these few quality issues, so I am more than satisfied with choosing Hotel Benilde! I would still recommend staying here as many of these issues may not even be noticed on a short stay. It’s CLEAN AND VERY COMFORTABLE with a phenomenal vibe from the staff! Honestly the only thing I can’t stop being mad about is the pool hours, closing at 7pm daily in an international vacation city should be illegal!

It took 5-15 mins for them to deliver the supplies I asked for after calling the front desk. It’s really fast in the Philippines. Bring moisturizer when you stay in this hotel, I believe there is a dehumidifier running even AC is off. It’s a positive because this hotel doesn’t seem to have any mold problem. The room is spacious, clean and sufficient with lights.

I was so disappointed with the breakfast menu. It was not as I expected as it was my 2nd time. There were such limited choices, and staying for a week there could have been different options (lazy menu) , but it was the same thing every single day. It was not worth the money I paid for.

Nielioan (8/5): still impressive - great to be back in this hotel after six years! another workshop has been conducted by my alma mater. despite the heavy rains brought about by a recent super typhoon, the show must go on. i decided to attend in spite of the work suspension. the hotel staff was very welcoming from the guards, receptionists and waiters who all took their job seriously and cheerfully. restrooms were all clean & smelled good. wifi was stable and strong. and we never encountered a problem with the audio system. the parking is still cramped, as always. we had to be really extra careful to manoeuvre our way out of the tight exit ramp, the curved walls of which, by the way showed proof that it was really accident-prone.

It was rainy season so umbrellas were made available for hotel guests to borrow. Room was very nice, spacious, and clean. It felt like I was staying at a more expensive hotel chain. The included breakfast buffet was limited but adequate for our needs. Overall great experience. Absolutely nothign to complain about. I will stay with them again when I visit next year.

Very professional and friendly staff; any issues will be addressed in a timely manner. Stayed in a very nice and clean room where the sofa is big enough to double as a bed and a good view of the city. Hotel breakfast buffet is simple but very nice nonetheless. Overall, this 3-star hotel definitely punches above its weight – this hotel should be 4 stars at the very least.

maecrissofiag (10/5): Great staycation! Best hotel room for P2500/night (thru Agoda) - Spent 3D 2N staycation here, family of 4. The room has a 5-star feel. It has everything you need - a sewing kit, hair dryer, flat iron, bath robes, towels and toiletries. The carpeted floor looks clean. I love the classy scent of the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The glass drawers are very nice, too. They have a couch that's big enough to be an additional bed. Good wifi connection. We were able to work during our stay. The breakfast buffet is a plus. I was with my 2 kids, 4 and 7. My 4-year old was free, but I had to pay half-rate for my 7-yr old. Hubby and I tried their Romancon restaurant for dinner - very sumptuous food! Had the off-the-bones ribs w/veggies for 550 and super delicious kare-kare for 550, good for sharing. Kids had their all-day breakfast and fries. A lot of convenience stores outside. Food delivery is also allowed. We ordered outside food twice. There's a cute pool is at the roof deck. Self-service towels and toiletries were available. The staff was accommodating and always smiling. Overall, we had a great stay. Highly recommended. We'll definitely come back!

Ms Catty Lynn Perez went above and beyond to assist us in a problematic situation where she demonstrated her wit and ability to resolve issues in the nick of time. She went an extra mile to offer her time and resources which gave us comfort and peace of mind. Ms. Catty did a phenomenal service, here’s a stellar feedback which she deserves. Ms. Jackie did assist us with the bookings from start to finish. Ms. Vanessa offered as much help as possible, as well. The security guards and the servers were all alert in keeping us safe and comfortable.

netteprince (10/5): HOTEL STAFF.. its ASSET❤️ - needed a place to stay near Benilde for various events, of my daughter, and find this hotel very comfortable and worth the rate I’ve been getting from Agoda. the rooms are 4 stars! spacious clean and functions are great.. plenty of space to work.. strategic outlets for your convenience.. love the shampoo body wash, conditoner and lotion.. bathroom wd hair dryer, flexible mirrors. all rooms have iron and board, fridge, free coffee and water,, slippers, plushy robes, sewing kit, very clean towells.. i love the clean nice and comfortable bed plus the lovely sofa which i loved to lounged on while reading.. location is perfect for me, restaurants every where.. best part are the hotel’s staff.. from the guard to their parking and those at the main doors, Mark at the front desk, and also the ladies, the koerators, Maria in housekeeping, Christian and Smile at the Dining.. all the ladies at the cashier.. havent met anyone grumpy.. even the room cleaners.. very nice vibe hotel❤️ My 3rd stay and counting. I want to make a special shout out to Sir Mark from front desk who ensured that I get the best room with Makati view (transferred me 2x since the other rooms have minor issues). Special shout out to Sir William and Sir Lito for ensuring that all the lights, the TV and safety deposit box are working. Special shoutout to Gemmay from housekeeping for attending to my requests: enough bottled water daily, cleaning my room and providing additional pillow and blanket to my guest. There was an earthquake during my stay and the staffs ensured that all guests are safe. I also like the hotel's proximity to many restaurants along Taft Ave. and also it is close to Mall of Asia. I like the electronic display in each room that displays 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Make Room'. Thank your for making my stay safe and comfortable.

llauraa- (8/5): A great stay nearby the airport - We had booked the first and the last night of our Philippines trip in Benilde hotel and arrived to the hotel always late in the evening. And that was really sad as the hotel itself was so pleasant! The location seemed a bit scary though and in the middle of nowhere, but that was just probably due to fact that it was always dark when we got to the place. I felt this hotel had a very high quality with a very low price. We paid around 50 € for a night and got super clean, spacious, comfortable and modern room and very friendly and helpful staff. The meals in the 1st floor restaurant were tasty. And the highlight was definitely when once again we arrived late and they opened their already closed swimming pool just for us to use. I appreciated that so much! Only thing I did not like was the breakfast that was very simple and it was hard for me to find anything to eat from there. Otherwise, a lovely stay and could highly recommend! And convenient to stay for even a short time in Manila as the airport is around 20min away by taxi.
Seawind1 (10/5): A very good choice in Manila - We spent three days at this hotel in Manila. It is not very centrally located, but Manila being such a big city "central" is a very relevant word. The hotel rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and there is plenty of space. So are the bathrooms, with all the things which are necessary for a traveler. People at the reception are friendly, and every minor problem or request are attended to with politeness and a smile. Breakfast is more than adequate and, for those who wish to have a meal at the hotel, there is a wide range of choices at very attractive prices. I definitely recommend this hotel to you ... plus you will find that prices are very attractive too.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, delicious food in the restaurant and ion the roof-deck. The location of the Hotel is really convinient - close to Manila Bay, 20 min from airport. I highly recommend Hotel Benilde.

pete_malaysia (6/5): Nice hotel in wrong location? - Made a last-minute trip to manila in view of the chinese new year holidays This was one of 3 top hotels in manila as part of the malaysian airlines holiday package reviews pretty good on TA so decided to go with it hotel located in a pretty mid-town area....7-11 about 50M away and not much else around within walking distance Its great that there is GRAB (like UBER) in manila and fares are pretty cheap.45-minute trip from the airport to the hotel costs abt US$8 which was great.taking GRAB to other parts of manila (Mall of Asia,etc.) costs abt US$ 5-6.traffic pretty bad around the hotel Checkin fast and effiecient.friendly staff all over room was mid-sized and clean.queen bed with a sofa (which was as large as the queen bed!) pretty basic amenities,more like a 3-star hotel breakfast was pretty basic as well decent for the price but definitely away form all the retaurants/shopping areas of manila

naparatp2017 (8/5): Stay at Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle during the volcano eruption - I've arrived at the hotel just a few hours before the explosion of the Taal volcano. We've then asked the hotel staff for a pack of dust mask for 12 people of our group as we couldn't find it in drug stores nearby. In the morning, the staff provided us with the masks though it's not enough for everyone but it has shown that the staff were attentive to the request and we appreciated it a lot.
Venture169621 (10/5): Great stay - The rooms are nice. And beds are comfortable. People are friendly and so accommodating. Guards are also alert when it comes to your luggage and transportation needs. Great service too at the reception and restaurant. I will definitely go back to this hotel.
sunsetchaser99 (8/5): Love the staff - I cannot sing any more praises enough for the staff. Every person greets you as you pass by. But my heart truly belongs to the front office associate who assisted me with the check-in, the maintanance person for the roofdeck, and a waiter at Cafe Romancon, Jester. My friend and I opted to have drinks delivered to our room, and he left his personal bottle opener keychain. That is going above and beyond his service. Dinner was good (had the salmon), breakfast not so much. May have to do with us coming at the last hour. Hopefully in the future, food service will be consistent up to the last person there. The only comment my (well-travelled) friend had was that "arrozcaldo was good, but schublig did not taste like schublig." Cleanliness was impeccable. The toiletries were decked out in their own proper spots. Bathroom door lock was broken though. Beds and pillows were comfy. Roofdeck was awesome. Any hotel I'm at, I'm bound to look for the side where the sun sets, and this is one of the best I've seen. Designated smoking area constantly cleaned out. Lights out at 12mn I guess, bit we were accomodated. When they heard we were still there, someone turned it back on and left it for another hour. I highly appreciate you take the time to reply to these reviews. So if I may suggest. Whoever was writing your personalized thank-yous late 2018-mid 2019, get someone like that back on board to do it. If not, you may as well just proofread the copy-paste reply. I believe this is not too irrelevant since many people read reviews now before deciding on a hotel. Because of Hotel Benilde's location (and proximity to most of the people I see), there is a big chance I might come back. This hotel was a welcome surprise. Kudos!

Robert (8/5): College Training Hotel: good for price but limited - Typical Philippines service with an apology and a smile. Two important considerations based on the fact that this is a campus training hotel: (1) the area has few amenities, pretty poor neighborhood; and (2) as a training hotel the meals and services are limited. Business center was limited. Free breakfast buffer, but limited choices, and the lunch/dinner menu was limited. 1km walk to anything that looks like a restaurant (there is street food nearby, bars, and small coffeeshops too). 7-11 is near for minor purchases.
